This place is so beautiful!! The trees are majestic and the grass is lush green! I went with my family and we had such a good time. The general admission was 9$ and my 1 year old son was free. Of course I wish the price was a little better, considering it is Gods creation we are wanting to see! However we understand the upkeep, it must take to maintain this garden;) I recommend to bring your own food and drinks. They do sell drinks and snacks there. If you love nature like we do this place is for you! Very whimsical and charming!
One of the great architectural triumphs. As iconic as the Sidney Opera House in Australia. I visited on a perfect day to see American culture at its best.
I came here a few years back and didnt think the food was anything too amazing, but decided to come back to try it again and it did not disappoint this time. Im not a huge lasagna fan whatsoever, but was recommended by friends to try it out. The meat lasagna here is AMAZING. I never had lasagna with perfectly cooked pasta with soft and crispy cheese on top. Every single bite I took was amazing. The complimentary bread that comes with the food is a huge plus as well along with the service. As for parking, there is a free lot in front of the store with limited spots. The interior is small as well so beware if you planning on coming with a group of 3 or more as it may be difficult to find seating! Overall really great and will be coming back.
What a beautiful work of Architecture! The Architect wanted this to look like a ship.We had never been here before and decided to walk around the property.....they have a beautiful little garden on the second floor outdoors overlooking the street. They also have an outdoor mini stadium style seating area for little concerts. The entire building was so beautiful that we had to stop and look in awe at the stunning lines! We havent seen a concert here yet but it is known to have the best Acoustics in Los Angeles. We will definitely be back next time for a concert!!
The best venue for enjoying concert in state of California. This place has great opportunities for photography. This is very near to Famous Grand Park. If you are visiting this place at the time of Concert you will not be allowed entry. This place is a must place to visit. The architecture needs a great appreciation. Visit this venue and you will never regret.
Great place to take photos at ! They will let you shoot anything as long as you don’t put a light stand or a tripod down (you need permit for those - because you’re blocking people from moving around).
Came here for sightseeing of the concert hall for its stunning look. After visit I should say it’s definitely among masterpieces of modern architecture in the world which you can’t miss in LA! Just beautifully designed. I would just feel so proud if I were a musician playing at this venue! Also be sure to check out the lovely community park, which is actually built on top the hall. It feels Zen and is still all green even in winter now! Full of parking lots inside, easy to park. The Broad museum is just next to it.
The acoustics of the hall, pipe organ, architecture, quality performances, and easy underground parking make this an amazing venue. You havent lived until you sit behind the performers in the back of stage seating, it provides a new dimension to a performance. If you are visiting during the day, take a walk up the stairs next to the outdoor elevators in front. Turn right and you will experience great views of City Hall from a mid-level rooftop perch, see rarely see areas of the building, behind-the-scenes views of the curved edifice. Going left you will circle the building seeing a small informal seating area and a semi enclosed outdoor amphitheater and gardens.
The best acoustics of any place Ive ever seen a concert in. Absolute perfection.
This is an iconic and unique building that has no right angles in its construction. The place is easily accessible by car and has ample parking, great indoors and waiting area. The staff is helpful and gives directions when asked for even when they appear busy.️ This place has:Yes=Ramp access.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Seating.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Parking.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Elevator.
Beautiful venue to see a concert. Easy parking underneath the concert hall. Nice escalators to get you into the lobby. Gift shop and lobby bar are a great way to pass the time if you arrive early!
A very nice building. Everything in the hall is clean, comfortable, beautiful. This room, then outside, inside is very imposing.
I need to start this review with: I did not get in the Concert Hall, just admired it from outside and walk around.I guess I am writing this for those short in time, without a ticket to get in or without the intention to spend money to get in.The facade of the building is simply put: outstanding. Its shape distract your mind from each of the curves to its sharp angles to the beautiful contrasts between the white concrete of its footpath to the blue sky of California. I pulled my phone as soon as I saw the building, mesmerised with its aesthetics as I continued walking towards it. Get around one of its nook, stand in front of it, under its shade, all around! It is a stunning building and I can only imagine what it looks on the inside. I tried to get a ticket but everything was sold out for the day.Nevertheless, it is a state of the art building, captured in my memory.
The tour is free. Walt Disney Concert Hall is beautiful. We parked our car at the underground parking. The parking was $20. You could park your car at a nearby parking at a cheaper rate. We were allowed to see the main concert hall which is wonderful. The outside balconies offers excellent views of LA. The area is nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building is amazing outside and inside.
Wow, a masterpiece of a building, both outside and inside. I could not recommend this place enough. One of those buildings you must see at least once in your lifetime. Shows obviously vary from one another a lot, but mostly I was very satisfied every time I went. The acoustics are incredible, there is a beautiful patio on the top floor. Its a majestic experience. Highly recommended and should be more applauded.
Great concert in wonderful surrounds. The building is just amazing on the inside as it is on the outside. The gardens were a lovely place to spend the intermission. Only negative was the excessive queue at the restroom!
His wife was in my own animated comedy central to a good for me a good for me a good for me a good for me a good thing to get out and you have an immediate comment search of his life I am so many years in an immediate comment search of his life I dont want them are also said it will likely that they dont want them are also said they dont want them are also said it will likely that they dont want them are also said it will likely that they can get
Such a beautiful place! I had the most wonderful night. Went for a Chamber Music event featuring Brass and Strings as well as a wine tasting event. Such a spectacular event. The music transported me to another place. Very relaxing soothing and healing. I will definitely come back for another wonderful experience.
This is the best concert hall in Los Angeles. They have excellent events and also gorgeous gardens in the 2nd floor. Book tickets and you will not regret it.
The line and wait for the park was long. Beside that, everything was great. The park was beautiful and very peaceful. Would definitely be back.
The building was so nice we all was stunned, the easy access also by the drive ways. amazing team working there to gives the right directions and the Hall itself stunning!
Curves that cut through the sky and draw you in. This concert hall is truly one of a kind. The performance lineup rivals any other world-class symphony, and the venue clearly rises to the top amongst the worlds great halls. Its worth visiting just to see the outside of Frank Gehrys iconic creation.
Amazing sound. The acoustics are absolutely the best you can imagine. The entire environment is equally impressive. Intimate but grandiose. It is definitely worth a visit. Musical Disneyland, magical kingdom of sound and togetherness.
Gets kinda hot around the area.
Mind-blowingly astonishing architecture. This has to be one of the most beautiful and memorable examples of the highest quality of modern architecture in the world. It’s an absolute joy. It can not be recommended more highly! If you are in downtown LA please do not miss this!
The free self-guided audio tour from 10AM to 2PM is long-winded, but worth it. Its sad they wont let you peek in the concert hall -- even when there is not a rehearsal. You can park in the lot on 2nd for only $9.
I have never been inside but just looking at this Modern design structure is amazing.
Very good place I have been a couple of times and everything is very comfortable and clean.
Unique architecture I found fun there and beautiful places to visit highly recommended for all!
Walt Disney Concert Hall is certainly an iconic structure and addition to the inner-city Los Angeles experience. I only had time for a quick walk-around tour, but would have appreciated going on a docent-guided tour of the many levels of the facility. Be sure to speak to a docent/ employee & tell them what youd like to do (what you have time for) so you can find out where you can go & the easiest ways to get there.Inside & out on a deck or in the garden areas, there is so much there to see & experience in the halls immersive environment. Free docent-guided tours, or you can pick up a headset for information on a self-guided tour.Definitely worth the time to check-out this place.FYI: In the winter months, the Los Angeles Philharmonic rehearses & plays at this venue, so the very-inner-part of the concert venue is not accessible to the general public for a self-guided walk during those months. In the summer, when the L.A. Phil. plays at the Hollywood Bowl, they give the public a little more open-access inside the Disney facility.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a world class center for the musical arts and performances. Home to the world famous Los Angeles Philharmonic LA Phil and led by the music and artistic director-Gustavo Dudamel. The building architecture was designed by the famous architect-Frank Gehry....#laphil #waltdisneyconcerthall #gustavodudamel #losangelesphilharmonic #waltdisney #dtla #instalosangeles #instaconcerthall #concerthall #mickeymouse #worldfamous #californiadreaming #californiadreamin #frankgehry
The world famous architect Frank Gehry design this beautiful and unique concert hall. Such a shame I didn’t have time to get in. I’m sure this concert hall is one of the best in the world. They have a tour of the property, and also gift shop, where I bought some souvenirs to bring home.
There is a free walking tour available that takes up about an hour and a half. Our guide was incredibly informed and provided a tonne of great insights and stories about the 3 Concert halls. Was definitely worth our time.
Didn’t go inside but the architecture is amazing, really pretty and worth a visit in my opinion
Very suggestive place, characterized by futuristic and very particular architectures, almost unique.it is beautiful to appreciate even during the day, without entering the theater, ideal for taking beautiful pictures and relaxing in the center of the los angeles district. it is one of the newest and tourist areas of the city. parking spaces everywhere for those who want to travel by public transport.in the area you can also find excellent dining options and good Italian cuisine, with Italian espresso, and its not a small thing.recommended!
There was an event going on so we had the opportunity to go for a tour that took us inside the concert hall as well. The architecture is very interesting. They have a very cool new exhibition using machine learning for the LA Phil archives. It wasnt open then but I would definitely return to check it out.
Amazing facility! We saw the LA Phil perform here for a kids show, and everyone had a great time. We sat behind the orchestra. We had a great view, but I dont think any of the seats would have been bad. The kids really enjoyed seeing the musicians play, and truly enjoyed the music. Heads up, there is construction going on around the theater right now, so consult their web sight for information on how to approach and where to park. In spite of that, this was a great day with the family.
Amazing orchestra concert! Absolutely beautiful building. Great experience. Cant wait to go back again someday.
Amazing facility with perfect acoustics. Savor exterior and interior. So happy we heard symphony.
If youre worried its Disney as you know it, it isnt. Going here to listen to the LA Phil is a fantastic experience, even in the cheap seats. Go and listen, you wont be disappointed.
I was there with my fiance watching and listening to the L.A. Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. It was so great! They were great! We had great seats and were comfortable. It was smaller than I expected, but it gives a more intimate feeling. The architecture is beautiful inside and out. Well be returning.
Located really got in downtown LA next to the Broad. This is a must see for all whether you appreciate architecture or not. The Walt Disney concert hall will present many opportunities for Instagram stories! Striking views at every turn. You will not be disappointed by the magnitude and post modernist take on a public infrastructure! This is a declaration that art, music, and, architecture fluidly flows into one another with a lot of drama and cohesion. It’s bold! A statement! A landmark amongst the LA traffic!
A venue that everyone should experience at least twice!
Surreal iconic LA landmark. The building looks like the Teslas Cybertrucks garage. Youre surrounded by The Broad, and the MoCA, meaning there are many picture spots. Parking is $9.
Lovely place, I enjoyed all the different varieties of plants its a pretty large garden so take comfortable shoes and a sun hat and plenty of water.
That was amazing! How whole those metal constructions connects to each other?
It is so famous architecture.
A breath taking concert hall that just shows what a masterpiece a building can be! I can’t wait to come back when it’s opened and watch a symphony in this hall
Definitely a must-visit for music lovers! The LA Phil sounds great, but the smaller ensembles and solo recitals are probably a better deal - better seat availability for lower prices. The organ is also fantastic. Acoustics are very clean, except if theres someone talking with a microphone, in which case it sounds very muddy and unintelligible. Very pretty place, inside and out.
Seen from the outside only: amazing masterpiece. Walking around it and on top of it is lovely. Enjoy the small garden on the backside.
An architectural feat splendidly shining in the Downtown Los Angeles cityscape. All kinds of wonderful perform at this center for the arts. Enjoy!
Concessions that sell coffee for $4 but can not even provide a decent cup but plastic for coffee?Box office.- I had to go back and 4 times because no one knew what to do with my electronic ticket.Service,-Someone needs to teach some manners to the kids working as ushers they are too rough around the edges.Going to a jazz concert is supposed to be something especial, with a great customer experience, isnt it?Only the breathtaking architecture by Frank Gehry saved that evening.
PATINA, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles provides an excellent services, which is very hard to find.Every dish has a nice presentation and comes with a new set of utensils. All waiters wear a black uniform. Tonights waiter is Thanh Trans. I saw him constantly smiling from beginning to the end during our entire dinner period. He outperformed others at the Michelin Star in Las Vegas.I met Kevin Welby, general manager at Patina, again and we chatted the dinner experience I had with him in this same Patina restaurant in 2006.
This place was beautiful! While we were inside the actual venue while we were watching our performance the lights and mood were perfect. The lines for drinks, food, and items were hard to get through once everyone arrived so I would suggest getting there early if youre interested in buying anything.
Amazing place! Great free tour, Id never thought about the garden on the 3rd floor -not sure about floor#-. The design and history behind are pretty cool, details that are almost invisible then you realize about them. A place you must visit in L.A.
The design of the building makes the light and shadow very harmonious, internal tour is very detailed.
Unfortunately the day I visited there was no tours allowed, as they had an event inside. So its good to check on their website on the availability of tours before going. They also have audio guides and conducted tours. Without the tour there is not much to see...but can get a nice shot of the place from outside.
There is a parking lot south of the theater, park your car there and get to the roof if you want to take great photos, then go to the northeast corner of the theater, you will find stair to access the garden. Use the fire escape stairs to walk around the building. Its a must seen building in LA, specially for architects. GREAT ARCHITECTURE.
We are so lucky to have such a great facility like this in LA. The sound is spectacular. Its such a great place to listen to classical music. Yes its pricey and wish they had more affordable options for the general public. But wow such a good venue.
Nice place. I want to go back. I recommend it. You will feel good. LA phil..
Wow! Amazing architecture and construction.
We did the video walk, which was maybe on short release. The place is amazing and a great way to spend 40 minutes for free.
Stunning. Unique. Iconic.See music here. You will not be disappointed. Every seat in the house offers the same acoustic perfection and a great view of the stage. The architecture is amazing - both inside and out. Designed by famed architect Frank Gehry.
In addition to Frank Gehrys distinctive exterior, its a great concert hall. The acoustics are simply superb. If you go to Disney Hall be sure to go outside on the third floor where they have a Garden Park that wraps around the exterior of the building. The porcelain flower is a dedication to Lillian Disney who paid for this marvelous Concert Hall.
A really beautiful hall. It is worth going to an LA Phil concert just to see the hall. The orchestra is good, but cannot compare to the Chicago Symphony or New York Philharmonic. The website is a little buggy at times, but not too bad. One of the highlights for me is the Halls organ. Would strongly recommend the organ recitals.
LOVED IT, TRY TAKING THE STAIRS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING TO THE TOP AWESOME!!!
Just looked at it from the outside. A spectacular piece of architecture
Is beautiful, the store from inside have a lot of curious objets of music and art. Marvelous.
The structure was contemporary and beautiful. Its worth to go. Finding parking lot was easy. MUST GO!
Amazing performance I got to see here! The acoustics in this concert hall are quite impressive for sure :D There is a formal casual dress code here so keep that in mind. There are bars around the building but there arent many options. Just a few to compliment the atmosphere. This is such a nice building and there is an outdoor garden you can check out on the 3rd floor. Parking is $9 flat rate under the Disney Concert Hall.
Attended the Festival of Carols with Eric Whitacre and what a wonderful festive treat it was! Amazing concert in an amazing building!
This is an incredible building, one of the highlights of LAs impressive skyline! Make sure you go up onto the roof garden when you visit its free!
Very friendly staff gives you information if needed just need to ask with any questions you may have and very helpful. Come here for amazing date or just to listen to some beautiful Music. Today was All-Sauss and it was played amazingly.
Simply one of the greatest concert halls in the world, period. Acoustics and sight lines were designed specifically for symphonic music. The seats are super comfortable with wide rows, making it easy to get in and out of your seat. Each floor has multiple stations that serve premium wines, beers, soft drinks and coffee. The exterior is visually STUNNING. This is a fitting home for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, one of the greatest symphony orchestras in the world.
WE LOVE IT HERE! We did a photoshoot for our clothing line and it came out amazing . Great lighting. amazing architecture . It’s just natural greatness
Masterpiece. Timeless. Music expressed in architecture, architecture orchestras a grandiose symphony. Walt Disney Concert Hall is stunning. Ive seen many photos of it, but only a physical visit indulges you with the perfect balance between the still and the dynamic, the wonderful harmony of musical romance and structural logic. It has a great gift shop, almost everything sold there is relevant to music, even the purses made in Germany!
One of the most iconic architecture works in Los Angeles. The matte steel finish and the curved lines is a symbolic reflection of the artistic Los Angeles culture. The interior has a beautiful curvy wooden decor that makes the sound travel evenly throughout the Concert Hall.
This is a wonderful venue. The parking couldnt be easier, the facility is beautiful, and the sound quality is top notch. We were there for the LA lawyers concert and it was very well done. We were up in the cheap seats on the fifth floor and it was still great. Personally Id spring for the fourth row but my wife is thrifty.Go. It is worth it.
Really great venue with a small restaurant, gift shop and really hospitable employees. Caught Eric Whitacre’s Festival of Carols tonight and still could hear everything from behind the choir! If you want to surprise a date, get the seats directly in front of the organ pipes haha
Nice place to go listen some music. Friendly staff and fast service.
Wonderful spot and architecture. Very cool for photography.
The Walt Disney concert Hall has been built by frank. both the Walt Disney concert Hall and the Hollywood bowl are the iconic parts of South Carolina. It was opened in 2003 February 24. And the construction cost around 130 million dollar. Thats a lot of money to spend on such beautiful concert Hall.
I mean, come on. Disney Hall. Acoustics are fabulous. The architecture is world class. The Phil is world class, maybe the best in the US.
A stunning architectural masterpiece on the outside and very intimate inside. Great acoustics makes it ideal for any kind of Concert!
That very special and beautiful organ built for the Walt Disney Concert Hal has 1,634 pipes and sounds absolutely incredible! Majestic. Divine. I had the opportunity to listen to this magical instrument under the fantastic hands and feet of Christian Schmitt, a German organist. It was wonderful.
Busy place. Didn’t go to any event or anything but went inside to view it and it’s nothing special inside. Outside is nice to stop by to see.
Haven’t attended a concert here yet, but the architecture is breath taking and probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. A masterpiece by Starchitect Frank Gehry.
One of the most iconic buildings in downtown, this projections they were doing to the beginning of LAphil season were so incredible and beautiful. Take advantage of the weekly free tours
Such a beautiful venue where the great acoustics right in downtown Los Angeles. A must see even for photos. I have lived in Los Angeles for almost 20 years. My 1st visit and I could not believe I have not gone all these years before.
If you want to see the music hall, go between May to August, otherwise you’d be allowed only to see common areas.Entrance: freeYou just need to sign in and leave your ID at the desk in order to use speakers.Unfortunately the audio tour is not so interesting and I find the audio sometimes way too long and informative.
What an amazing place to enjoy a great live music performance. The acustics are just amazing!
We did a photo shoot on the outside of the Convert Hall. The buildings architecture is impressive.
Absolutely magnificent architecture and ambience! Regardless of where you sit, the sound is amazing! Could place more concession stands for upper seating. A must visit!
Not only for architecture geeks and music lovers. Maybe it’s not my favorite but definitely it is astonishing and different from anything you could remember. Go there and try it on yourself.
Gustavo Dudamel is one of the finest conductors Ive had the pleasure of watching. The orchestra itself is spectacular, and the concert hall is beautiful. The garden level has an outside terrace that has a lovely little garden.
A very expert and caring guide walked us through the Hall and to the other 3 theatres of the district for 90 minutes, telling us all then secrets of these amazing places. Totally free. Dont miss it!
What an awesome venue. Magnificent acoustics
It has a very cool design. Its told that it has a perfect acoustic but I havent visited inside.
Worth it just to swing by and check out the architecture. It is amazing and such a beautiful building. Highly recommend seeing it.
