Tucked into an unassuming corner of suburban Livermore, the Shiva-Vishnu Temple is one of the area’s most unique cultural attractions. For those who stumble upon it by chance, it often comes as a surprise to encounter such an ornate and impressive example of Indian architecture in such a traditional California neighborhood. The temple’s pyramid structure is adorned with a variety of Hindu deities. Inside, there’s an expansive hall and large kitchen that churns out tasty vegan meals. The temple is located on Arrowhead Avenue in Livermore, not far from the downtown area.

Gorgeous building decorated inside and out by craftspeople brought from India. Folks have never been anything but friendly when we went over to check it out, and we even got to dance once! They are respecting the shelter-in-place order and streaming services live. I would also like to thank them for the efforts theyve made to control traffic during busy times, they are good neighbors.

Wonderful Hindu Temple, catering to South Indian and North Indian customs and traditions. In 2019, they are celebrating their 33rd year of existence, as the largest Hindu temple in the Bay area.Typical of Hindu (and Sikh) temples, they offer free meals, lunch and dinner for guests and worshippers alike on both days of the weekend. A lovely place of worship that welcomes all faiths.

Lot if telugu people at one place you can see, good time to visit on Saturdays and Sundays. We had a quick darshan, multiple gods and goddesses are there. One must visit this temple.

One of the best temple in bay area. Crowded most of the times buy there is enough parking for everyone if its not a festival day. Great architecture and pleasant environment. You always feel relaxed and have a sense of peace once youre here. Enough space behind the temple where there is huge community hall for events. There are several other activities happening in temple premises, like yoga, etc. Prasadam is generally served in the community hall.

Good and clean and little big temple in and around bay area. However things( pooja, homas etc of devotional programs ) happen here more artificial than realistic, its my opinion... however with piece of mind you can go and visit god idols and get relief from stress and do your things which you believe are more traditional than Artificial...!!!

Large Hindu temple catering to all streams of faiths within. You have all major deities present here - Ganesha, Siva, Muruga, Parvathi, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Bhudevi, Hanuman, Krishna, Rama etc. The purohits seem to be knowledgeable about rituals and mantras. Every important function is listed out on digital displays with details of puja timings. Prasad (food offering) is available sumptuously. You can donate if you feel like, whatever you may fancy. A very popular place for south Indians.

If you are a Hindu or just want to see an Indian Temple, then you must visit here. Organizers of the temple have made the darshan of the god very smooth and fast track even during the rush hours of new years eve. The interior is pretty nice with all popular Indian gods. Alankara or the decoration of the gods is pretty nice and close to what we see in India. They also tell you about the different events conducted in the temple. There is a nice grass area in front of the temple to relax. Their prasadam is also very good and resembles the what we get in Tirupati. They have different options for varieties of poojas. They also sell some books. If you are near Livermore you will notice that it is a very beautiful community and looks very green. Feels as if we are in some low-key European place.
