The wine and the staff were excellent. Its just too bad that they moved the outdoor tasting from the grass where you could sit down at a table to two tents in the parking lot. They had standing only tables and there was only one table that had seats. Would be nice if they moved all the tables from the grass up to the tents. But it is what we have to do in todays climate.
Love the winery. Have for years. Make a reservation, enjoy the wines and the venue. Take home your favorites.
This was a great place to hang out and enjoy some wine tasting and have some small bites.
A bit crowded on Saturday but not bad. Outdoor area was really nice and quiet. The wines were only OK. $10 tasting for around 10 tastes but they dont count. If you buy two wines then the tasting is waived. The port was pretty good but we didnt purchase anything. The wine pourers were not knowledgeable and didnt say much regarding the wines. There were so many of them that you would think one would have tried a little more.
Decent wines, but in winter time there was an excess of fruit flies. One of the team had an electric fly zapper and seemed to take on that task on full time. I cant even begin to imagine how many bugs they have in the peak of summer. No thanks.
Let me just cut to the chase: skip this winery. Not worth the time or the money. We came here on Memorial Day and were told we could bring snacks. Since the weather wasnt great, we were told we could move the picnic table inside. However, after that we got so much attitude from the staff. Our kids, who were really being good, were told they couldnt open their crayons or even go to the bathroom! We were told that our food (dip, cucumber sandwiches) was smelling up the wine experience. Let me also say, we were one of only 3 other groups there on Memorial Day! Give me a break! No wonder this place isnt booked out on a busy weekend. We left early because these guys didnt deserve our money nor do they deserve yours. Go somewhere better.
Nice visit to great Winery. Freindly, helpful, and fun staff. Great wine great time!!
Awesome wine and lovely people.
The wine is pretty good. They have lovely events. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. It shows that they care.
Socially Distancing Wine Tasting
Wine is decent, but I was turned off by the attitude and the need to pay the tasting fee up front, and no waiver whatsoever with a bottle purchase. Ive never experienced this anywhere else.
I prefer the smaller wineries like Fenestra. Its more personal and it helps that its local. Support your local winery!
We love Fenestra, always they have good wine and the people is so friendly, makes us feel special!!!
Its nice small winery with good wines and a great location.
Great music. Wine a bit pricey but good. Beautiful trees!
Loved it. Good wine and great people
Really nice wine tasting. Very good wines and a beautiful picknick area outside for the perfect lunch if you go to the farmers market before.
Great wine, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Lots of parking. Give them a try!
Small, rustic winery in a beautiful location surrounded by large trees. Has a down to earth feel, very welcoming.
Great place for a picnic. Buy a bottle of chilled Semonnay to have with your sandwiches. Then go back in for a great tasting.
They get some props for being a nicely situated winery in Livermore. However, the place is family unfriendly. We bought a few bottles of wine and sat by the picnic area. The problem arose when the kids needed water. They refused to give us glasses for that. When I tried to use a clean wine glass to give water to my son, a lady from the winery actually took it away from me and tried to lecture me on using that glass. That soured the whole experience. Wineries are not about the wine - I can buy wine at Whole Foods - its about the experience. And these guys do t know how to deliver that yet
Consistently good wines with a relaxed and easy going vibe. Fenestra is one of our top three wineries in Livermore.
We have had some great experiences at this winery and especially enjoyed one visit where there was food paired with the wines but there was also a time when one old guy serving was especially rude and snobby. That sort of ruined the mood unfortunately. We usually take home a nice port wine when we go.
I didnt particularly like any of the wines. They werent bad but they werent good either. Their best wines are their ports. I bought 2 bottles. I didnt care for their decorations. It just seemed a little ghetto but the surrounding is nice.
A fun little winery
One of my favorite wineries in Livermore. Great selection of wine, friendly staff, and theyre pretty loose/flexible on the tastings. A $10 tasting is supposed to get you 10 of their approximately 20 wines they pour, but they dont really keep track. And if you buy $16 of wine, you do get half your tasting fee back.
Nice winery with good guess and outdoor sitting area.
Great winery. Nice knowledgeable staff.
Volunteers in the barn-esque tasting room were very nice. They make a popular Riesling. Cheap tastings.
Fun place, fun people, great wine!
Try the Touriga and the Syrah!
Friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. Iberian varietals are featured at Fenestra with some that you probably never heard of.
Personal. Interactive staff. Like your neighborhood hangout. Wonderful wines and staff.
Love the Zin and Malbec, servers are helpful and friendly. Small picnic area for lunch or whatever you bring to snack on. Ports are great too.
Live music on fridays during the summer and tacos.
Winemake Aaron was super knowledgeable. Malbec was great. Was at Bernardus in Carmel Valley previously and went to Davis. Knows what hes doing. Looking forward to interesting things from Fenestra in the future.
Great wines and testing facility.
Very pretty setting, great for picnics. Im not especially fond of the wines, but everyones pallette is different and I have several friends who like it.
Great wine variety, friendly pourers.
Fantastic wines, beautiful old winery, friendly staff. The owner really cares about wine and it shows.
Amazing wine, hidden spot in Livermore
So good we become members
The 2004 port. Mmm Mmm good
We were given no details about the winery or individual wines. We barely got a swallow of each wine and were made to feel an imposition. We will not return
Nice wine and parking is easy
Still our favorite winery in the area.
Enjoy going there.
Wonderful wines, and people!!!
Thanks for your
