This is both a fascinating piece of architecture and a great museum️. It brought back many cherished memories of the 90s. I would recommend to read Clintons autobiography to prepare your visit. Please note that history is being presented from a certain perspective. Clinton was always a great communicator, to put it this way. So do not expect certain items on display. Please wear the mask. Protect Arkansas.
Wonderful library. A great tribute to President Clinton. Have visited several times.
As a history buff, I like to visit as many presidential library I come across in my travels. President Clinton was president during some very monumental time. Lots of interesting info and the grounds around it had many scenic pathways close to and across the river. We rode little electric scooters that were for rent, around the place.
Says it’s open but it’s not. Closed due to COVID. It’s time to open back up. Just because it’s named after a democratic president doesn’t mean it needs to be ran with democratic ideology.
About what youd expect from a Presidential Library with memorabilia and information about the Clinton presidency including the First Lady. Staff very friendly. We liked the replicas of the Cabinet Room and Oval Offices. They also have exhibits that change-the one when we were there was on plastic and debris in the ocean. There is also a small bridge and the Library building itself has interesting architectural features
Even though I didnt care for him or his wife, this is a really nice museum with lots of photos and history. Its a rip-off to get a photo at the (reproduction) resolute desk in the Oval Office. If you want a photo its $15.00! ridiculous. Since this is supposed to be history.....how about something along the lines of Monica.....that was a big piece of history that was conveniently forgotten to be added.
One of the greatest libraries I have been to. The car Clinton used and the Oval Office he worked at for 8 years were on display. The space was very pristine and the hallways are large. A lot of different memorabilia from 1992 campaign. Lots of nostalgia. The parking is not a problem since there is a huge parking lot in front of it. Great place to hang out and relive Clinton era. Very nice location.
This place was great! There was a lot of information and the setup was great. The admission was only $10 and you need to plan on spending around 3 hours to see everything inside. There is a bar located on the lower level that you visit. The mock oval office is definitely cool and worth checking out! This is a museum best suited for older kids Id say 10 and up. If you like Presidential history youll love this place!
Presidential Libraries and Museums offer a strong sense of self worth to the family of our past commander and chiefs, and this one is no different. It would be Clinton who would have his library have a stronger commercial approach, without sacrificing the architecture, which is by no means a bad thing. And yes one does learn a lot about the Clinton family and anything Lewinsky related is noticeably absent.
My wife and I have been to virtually all of the presidential museums and libraries and I have to say this one was just OK. It really didn’t have that many artifacts from the Clinton presidency. There was an 80s exhibit upstairs that was pretty interesting.
Beautiful Library. Great design, clean, and spacious building. Employees around library provided great history of Clinton administration.Parking (free) lot right next to building.
Good Presidential museum. Had an excellent free to with great guide who provided very good information. She was a big fan of the Clintons. This provided a complete overview of the many exhibits. Spent about two hours total and got view of whole museum. Highly recommend all Presidential museums!
Amazing! Love every minute of our visit there, such a sad time looking at the video showing the zero debt national debt.... Zero! You can hate or love Bill but he was a great politician and leader.

Very interesting place to see the history of president Clinton. The building is beautiful and very green. The restaurant was very good and very well priced ( it is worth going just for that and you dont need to pay admission to eat there) it is cool to see what the Oval Office looked like too!
Clintons Museums library a very interesting place with a lot of history during Clintons Administration of USA but also sports like Olympic Games medal and others historical items.
Im not a Clinton fan but had a great time anyway learning about his Presidency. Theres lots to see here plus special exhibits like the Beatles in America when we visited.
Very nice and neat Presidential Library and informative. The 42 restaurant had excellent food and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly.
Weve been here numerous times and always find something new to see. My favorite part is the replica of the Clinton oval office. No matter how much you think you know about Clintons presidency, youll learn something new on your visit. There is usually an exhibit there; weve seen the Olympic, Beatles, and Mandela exhibits.
The William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park is the presidential library of Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States.Has tons of stuff to do with the kids and had an excellent reference department. Later on, you should stop by the gift shop inside. My wife and I stopped in and purchased several goodies including replica cigars used on Monica Lewinsky!
Agree or disagree with the politics of the President, the office should be respected. The design of this presidential library while small, is very dense and quite transparent in sequence of events that happened his 8 years in office.I most enjoyed being able to open a binder to a random day during his presidency and being able to view the days schedule. If you are in Little Rock, this is absolutely worth checking out.
Interesting Library. Not as engaging as some of 5he others. Airbrushes the Monica L story out of the narative. Jimmy Carters in Atlanta is more engaging. Still well worth a visit, however.
Neat place to visit to look at history and you get a chance to check out what the Oval Office looks like, overall worth of stop just to check it out!
Best Presidential library, great collections of memorabilia and records of 42nd. Our guide Jessee was awesome.
Food in the restaurant was good, and the grounds on the river were beautiful in the fall, however the museum itself was a snoozer. Very boring. It needs to be updated with some interactive displays or something interesting besides letters from celebrities. The Foundation room was closed. Didnt take long to go through it.
Very nice museum to see the history and life of Bill Clinton. You could easily spend hours and hours in here if you wanted to see everything. Super big and lots of info. They have a model of the Oval Office inside that is super cool. Has some view nice views of the Arkansas River. Recommend for anyone visiting Little Rock, AR.
We had such a fun time visiting here today. We were especially excited to see the 90s exhibit that is currently here.
Modern architecture. Endless information. Great exhibits that are always changing. The presidential library is a must see.
This is a check off the bucket list for me. This was the first time I visited a Presidential Library, and this wasnt a disappointment. Going through the library, I instantly was taken back in time as I looked ay the pictures, articles, and events that shaped my memory at that time. As you go through the library you also learn that the roof is green with a garden on top. I love sustainable living.I definitely was happy to visit and it didnt disappoint.
Every time I visit. I see something new. Great place to get some great history on the 32nd president and the first look into the bridge to the 21st century.
Came here on a Sunday, and I knew in advance this is only open 1 to 5. This a beautiful place, both architecturally and inside. Everything was in tip top shape with plenty of security and volunteers ready to answer questions. The washed ashore exhibition was a nice touch. Multiple displays very tastefully done, easy to navigate and understand. The only downside was not being able to take pictures inside the oval office. This was the only Presidential library Ive been to where that was the rule, so I walked away with no pictures of the oval office . You had to use their photographer and pay somewhere between 15 to 20 dollars for the photograph. Not a deal breaker but just an FYI. Highly recommended, despite your political views. Thanks for your public service.
Terrible president and terrible library. They charge $10 an adult to go into a library! I know it has musuem things too but so do other libraries that dont charge you to go in. Maybe go with donations or a lot lower cost. Not getting my money.
All Presidential libraries are worthwhile, but some are better than others. This one suffers from focusing too much on just the achievements during Clintons Presidency and not enough on personal details and Clintons specific actions and relationships that made his Presidency so successful.
We just spent about 2 hours in the Clinton Library, not nearly long enough to even scratch the surface of all that is here. This library is full of pictures, mementos, artifacts, and paraphernalia from the 8 years of the Clinton presidency. There are a number of volunteer docents on every floor, and they are all super friendly, with lots of knowledge that they are happy to share regarding the Clinton years, the Cabinet Room, the Oval Office, etc.Ingrid is a docent in the Oval Office, and we spent about 15 minutes chatting with her, as she was SO informative about so many things regarding the Oval Office, as it looked when President Clinton was in power. She is knowledgeable and very willing to share many facts about the room, etc. Since we are from Canada, she also spent some time telling us about some other notable sites in and around the north part of the state, as that was where we were headed. The Library is well worth a stop. Our only regret is that we ran out of time.
Not a great museum. Nothing stood out and the building is less than desirable.
Absolutely stunning 21st century architecture, library, and space. My thanks to the entire staff everywhere we went. 1st. To the staff of the restaurant: We got there 15 minutes before 2pm when it closed. They welcomed us in with no problem. Sat us at a clean table from what had clearly been a busy lunch. The young African-American waiter was the nicest young man- I asked for a buttery chardonnay and he picked the right one.I now keep the wine in my home. I tell people If its good enough for Bill and Hillary, its good enough for you. They serve THE best Club Sandwhich in Little Rock. The gift shop is wonderful. Again, the staff was incredibly nice to my father and I. The limo, the Cabinet Room, it is all a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. The short video is worth watching twice.I am told it is modeled after Trinity College, with gigantic bookcases and a stunning view of the river and downtown Little Rock. A truly amazing tour.
We found this library by accident and decided to drop by. Although we did not do an in-depth look, it kept two school-age children busy for about an hour and allowed for more political and worldly discussions. Everyone working at the library was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. Overall, this was a great stop for the whole family.
Clintons Library is the largest by area and houses the largest archives. It showcases historical objects from Clintons presidency, including replica of the oval office. Interesting place to visit.
The exhibit and videos are excellent. Were here for the P. Allen Smith luncheon. The food and service cannot be beat.
I have been to most of the presidential libraries (only two more to go). The staff and facilities at the Clinton library are top notch. The exhibits of his presidency are organized and well done. I especially liked the daily schedules located in the metal binders that showed the day to day activities he was engaged in while in office. That being said, almost every other presidential library talks about the person, rather than just the oval office time. Noticeable absent from the exhibit are his childhood, education, his two times as governor or Arkansas, or other significant life events including his philanthropic involvements since leaving office. There are things I admire about president Clinton’s presidency, and things I disagree with, but as a whole I found the library to be plain with little in comparative historical caliber as the other presidential libraries.I also must mention what My wife also observed, that the “gift store” offered little of Clinton, and was better stocked with junk that could have been purchased at the local Walgreens for much cheaper.
Great place, uplifting respectful of the office
All ways something new to see and lots to learn. Staff friendly and helpful.
Came to little rock to see this and so glad we did. We were young adults during his presidency but the memory of scandal overrides what I really knew about his work. It was fascinating to see the strategic planning, patient but determined approach to the economy, peace in conflicted areas and continuation of the AIDS work he devoted himself to. The museum is well layed out, not overwhelming, and we saw the whole thing in half a day reading lots of the info in the exhibits along the way. Had to wait for the temp to drop but theres nice walking paths (accessible for wheel chairs, walkers, etc) along the river, over bridges, and a fun little downtown to walk through too. The staff was very kind and full of knowledge. Its really hard not to be sad that we dont have public service minded people in office anymore--this becomes painfully obvious here-- but hopefully some bright inspiring people will come along to move us forward the way clinton did.
Loved it!
This was just an okay museum. I think if you were a huge Clinton fan or a staunch Democrat you would enjoy it more. We just wanted to say we went. Decently priced to kill an hour.
We drove 4 hours with expectations of visiting presidential library. Got there it’s CLOSED for two days. NOTHING ON WEBSITE!
Not an official visit, but 42 Bar and Table was excellent.
FIRST THINGS FIRST: If you plan on going to a Presidential Museum, please note that said museum will be partisan to its subjects politics. (I have read some of these reviews and they have made me very sad and surprised) THIS is the place that honors its President and that means his (or hers) Politics, Life and Legacy. We live in a country where we CAN do that. We CAN and SHOULD honor our leaders, regardless of Politics and even regardless of scandal. You will always get a biased view of each Presidents tenure as Commander and Chief and that is the way it is. That is the money and support and time that is spent on building the structure, the narrative and legacy of each President...and their respective Museums. (lesson over)Having said that:I campaigned for President Clinton and did some outreach, when he was running for President and his subsequent re-election campaign, so I went in with very very high hopes...I must admit I was a little underwhelmed with the content inside the museum. I have been to several other Presidential Libraries and museums and was awe-struck with how many pieces where on display. I have been used to seeing grand houses full of trinkets, time pieces and just plain old stuff. The Clinton museum did not have that much to offer. What is DOES offer is a very detailed (very) chronology of President Clintons time in office, his policies, his triumphs and his failures. It takes great effort to spend copious dialogue on just about every single piece of legislature attached with/to him. I could have spent another 4 days there and still would never have finished reading everything. If you like to read (and I do) THIS is the museum for you. If you like flash and dazzle, this is not the place for you. Yes, you do get to see the Limo and Yes, you do get to walk inside a replica of the his Oval Office and Cabinet room...but that is about it. George H.W. Bush, who severed 4 years less than Clinton, has a museum jam packed with pillars and grand displays of events and a variety of nostalgia, that could engage even a millennial to put down their phone and take a gander. The Clinton museum, much like its man, spends most of its time communicating and educating, rather than entertaining. Some of these details are far to dense, for the passive visitor, to spend the time reading.THE BIGGEST and (by far) the GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT this Museum makes, is the actual Museum itself. THE STRUCTURE jets out across the river it sits on, like a Bridge to the future and I am sure that is not a coincidence. The building itself looks almost like a resplendent cruise ship, set in glass and crystal. Sitting next to a historical bridge itself, the Clinton Museum challenges us to draw lines between what is old an what is new. The unfinished bridge (if you will) reminds us that President Clintons work, in and of itself, will never be finished. Not much is made of the Clinton Foundation (sad to say) except maybe a short video or two and there are not a lot of events going on, year round (please see the Carter and Reagan Centers) but it is obvious that this Center pays a lot of tribute to its subject while also feeding the community in which it is housed on. The Museum and its history, where one of the final stages in the rethinking and restructure of the river-district in local Little Rock and in that way, it does not disappoint. The Cafe (42) was so impressive, that I went back twice! All in All: Definitely worth it, if you love Presidential History, Friendly People, walking around town and a deep love of reading!
Looks really nice from the outside. Garden grounds are beautiful. Gift store has lots of little trinkets and souvenirs that could be fun for tourists. Unfortunately, because of the government shutdown, the museum exhibits were closed and we couldnt visit. A pity!
Great library. Really informative and easy to follow exhibits. Lots of fun facts and interactive things.
This is a beautiful, fun, informative landmark. Ive been multiple times and always find something new that I like. The special exhibitions keep me coming back every cycle.
Very informational! We opted to tour the library with a volunteer guide, and I’m so glad we did! He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us navigate through the vast amount of information and historical perspective available at the library. The library is well organized and visitors can go for a more or less in-depth visit through various aspects of the Clinton presidency, depending on each visitor’s own interests.
Just had my third visit here since it opened. i was there on April 5 and as with previous visits, it didnt disappoint. Its a beautiful structure, right on the Arkansas River and so well designed. I was a teenager when he was President he became my hero at a young age so for me, its like a trip down memory lane and a place I can go and relive my adolescence from the 1990s. The staff is wonderful, and I actually did a guided tour this time and the guides were incredible. It was just so much fun and I learned so much. I love the history of it all and its great to see so many visitors. The President was there the day I was, he was in town that weekend for events in Little Rock and Hope and so there was a buzz of activity around the building. I mean, if you really hate the Clintons you wont like it, but if you at least appreciate history and his presidency, its a great place. And its only $10 to get in.
Theres so much history in this museum. I always love visiting. Make sure you block off several hours and enjoy the tours. Dont forget to grab a little food while you are here.
Nice place. Good history refresh. Even if you didnt like clinton, its a good place to go to remind yourself of what we all experienced during those years. The bridge is the coolest part.
Ive been to several presidential libraries now, and this one was kind of lacking as far as exhibits. The building is beautiful, the grounds are nice, and Im sure itd make a great venue for events. However, as an educational exhibit, it comes in last place compared to all the other presidential libraries Ive seen. LBJs is still my favorite out of the libraries Ive personally visited. Staff was really friendly, though! The film for the Clinton Library was well done, too.The library isnt far at all from the downtown shops and restaurants. I really liked the pedestrian bridge next to the library as well.
Great burger! Went there for lunch, had the Arkansas Traveler Burger with pimento blue cheese and candied bacon (potato chips on the side). The burger was cooked to perfection (medium), very juicy and flavorful. The pimento blue cheese added an extra layer of flavor without taking over.
My family drove up to the library from Dallas on President Clintons birthday weekend. We totally loved the experience. We brought our 9 and 13 year old daughters and they loved it as well. It was very thorough and educational. We were able to participate in the guided tour and that made it a lot easier. We would recommend the library to anyone that wants to learn more about American & World history.
Me and my husband enjoy the museum it was nice an clean the people was nice. The only thing I dnt like is when we check in my husband ask if yall give out the disabled veterans discount the ladys say no only discounts they give out is active or retired discount. I would think if disable veterern serve they deserve the discount also.
Not sure what I was expecting... rather disappointed.
The William J. Clinton Presidential Library informs people about Clintons presidency, something it is excellent at! There is a timeline of the presidency with major events. Alcoves on the side detail topics and what he did about them (Ex- Science and Technology: What he did for Science and Technology). There is a full-scale replica of the Oval Office and Cabinet Room as Bill Clinton had it in his presidency. There is also a cafe!!! Overall, it was a great presidential library!!!
The Clinton Museum Store is pitiful since it moved to the library. The things in there are not interesting at all plus there is no choice of good things. They have focused more on jewelry and other cheaply made things. Before you moved it was stocked with really interesting things. I went to day to find my sister a pill box that she bought at the one by the river market as hers broke and she wanted to replace it. No such luck. Although I sincerely am not a Clinton fan she is and asked me to replace it. No such luckUGH!!!!!!
While stopping in Little Rock for the night from a road trip, we made the drive down to the library from downtown, a very short drive. It was extremely beautiful here at dusk. I wish the library would have been open for us to go inside, unfortunately it was already closed. We did stroll the area and walk across the bridge. The views on the sunset from the bridge are amazing. The grounds of the park are very well kept. There is so much to look at there. The structure of the library is a sight in itself. I would recommend planning where you are able to stop by and see inside the library. But if possible also come back and just walk the bridge at sunset, its too beautiful to not see. There is a lot of History from the Clinton era, and I feel like there is a lot of US history in it as well.I would make the extra effort to come back here if I find myself in the area and go to the library, so I would recommend others go as well.
I went several times for trips during high school and college. It has some pretty cool exhibits. I thought the Oval Office replica was neat.Be careful though, I hear a rapist lives on the top floor of the museum!
Beautiful facility that is close to downtown Little Rock. Its a great historical overview of the Clinton Presidency from Clintons view.
This was my first ever, presidential library visit. I have to admit that it was beautifully designed and the layout was different than anything I had expected. The replica of the oval office was pretty cool and its best if you have a tour guide when you get there. Im not sure how they came up with the exterior design, but its definitely different.
I keep coming back for the temporary exhibits. A world class experience every time!
Please refrain from political opinions on the tours. History is about facts, not about a docent opinion. Otherwise nice library. It could have been a much better experience.
Great building with fabulous views of little rock. The information was easy to understand and accessible. I would absolutely come back.
Very nice for a quick or longer stop. Its not far off the highway. Very interesting to go back in recent history. Lots of videos along with many exhibits and tours, also gift shop.
A must see in little rock! If youve never been to the white house, the library gives you a great replica of the oval office. Be sure to take the tour and be prepared to spend at least 2 hours at the museum. A lot of the staff are volunteers who are professional and very welcoming. Easily one of the better hospitality experiences we have had in all our travels!
Really nice slice of history! The staff are really warm and welcoming. The restaurant had wonderful dishes to choose from. And while the articles in the museum are certainly slanted favorably, it is nice to read and see many of the items saved during the Clinton terms were excellent!
Visited the library during Memorial Day Weekend. It was a little hectic to get to it with River Fest but it was well worth the inconvenience. It is truly like walking through the pages of a history book and there’s something for everyone no matter the age.
As a fan of presidential libraries, the Clinton Library is one of the nicest. The exhibits are beautifully presented and give a great overview of Bills life from childhood to his Foundation work. The library room itself is stunning- so is the Oval Office replica.I would say that this is a major boon to downtown Little Rock.
I love the LBJ Library which captures the character of the man who was LBJ. This library was a collection of facts and stuff that were overwhelming at times. Simple things like signage with letters LARGE enough so you can easily read them was not always the case. Captions for pictures and for gifts given to Clinton were so small you could not read them but there was plenty of room on the exhibit for better lettering. I mentioned this to a few volunteers and they kinda raised their eyebrows knowing it is an old complaint. Curators need to fix.
This is not a library. There are no books to take out or read. Its a showcase of Clintons presidency. Neat, good place to get some food, or walk around the grounds.
Amazing! A full and comprehensive presentation of the life of Bill Clinton. Learned so much and remembered alot about his presidency. Also don’t miss the short film.
Very beautiful place. Very informative. Great restaurant. I personally loved seeing his saxophones. There was a traveling exhibit about Nelson Mandela that was touchingly informative.
Nice building, informative guides, $10 admission supports local school district
Rude staff, way to pricey, but very nice exhibition.
Its not my favorite museum but its pretty good. Kind of salty that they charge to take your picture in the oval office replica (no personal photos allowed). No other presidential museum Ive been to does that
Amazing place... would love to go back. River view is really nice and the surrounding grounds are well kept and clean.
So much to see outside Beautiful architecture So much to see
I spent three hours at the Clinton Museum on a recent trip to Little Rock. While you can breeze through everything in maybe 90 minutes, three hours was not enough for me. While not part of a tour group I hung around for parts of three other tour groups with their guide on their way around the museum, and learned a lot. I would definitely suggest taking up one of the tours. The building is pretty impressive, and provides an overview of Clintons Presidency as well as what was going on in the world during that period. As someone who was in middle and high school, most of this I was not aware of going on, so it really helped. The on-site restaurant, 42, was the best museum restaurant Ive ever been to by a long shot. It is an upscale place with a seasonal menu and cool outdoor seating option, but at a price far below what youd expect for the location and quality. Excellent. The restaurant is worth going to (no admission price necessary) just for the food. The location is amazing. It is right downtown, a few short blocks from the most vibrant portion of Little Rocks downtown, including several hotels and many restaurants. An easy walk. It is also right on the River Trail including a historic train bridge which is now used for walkers/bikers/runners.The down side is that there really isnt any seating, so expect to be on your feet pretty much the entire visit.Overall, the Museum was a good experience and I will definitely come back in future visits to Little Rock.
We were in Memphis over New Years weekend and made the 2 hour drive over to Little Rock to visit the Clinton Library. This was the fourth presidential library that we have visited. The library was easy to get to although the signage getting off of the interstate is a little confusing. Plenty of parking. Short introductory film narrated by...
Great tour, people and experience. Our tour guide Andy was EXCELLENT, knowledgeable and fun. The resturant, 42 is fantastic. Good prices, menu selection and service. I will be back!
Clinton center is one of my favorite places. The extreme bug exhibit was fun and interesting. Great way for kids and adults to learn about how bugs support our planet.
The Library is an amazing experience with an immense amount of materials and information that I never knew about our 42nd president and a reminder of some of the great accomplishments during his tenure. It is a must see for anyone visiting the Little Rock area.
A visit to this presidential library is definitely worth your time. We took a nice walk and got to know little about Clinton. Surprised he was a star politician right from a early age. Learnt how fast he climbed the state and national senates at a very young age.
All the dirty pages in the medical books have already been bookmarked and they also also carry the whole Karma Sutra. No website blocks on any computers available too! Lincoln bedroom replica was a great experience as well. Also the only library in the country with a pop a shot, still cant beat the high score. Highly recommended.
So much more than I was expecting. There is so much rich history to take in and all the while the outside views are amazing. Definitely worth a trip.
This is my first experience at a presidential library. I was disappointed that I was suppose to pay $15 to get in. Never expected that. There was also a lot of panhandlers in the parking lot. A bit disappointing. I wont draw the obvious comparisons to the Clinton presidency here. If your a big slick willy fan, go for it.
Inspired... love this museum. Made me remember when America was a great place. President Bill Clinton was a great president and this place reminds you of that.
I really my visit to the Clinton library
Great museum. Lots of interesting displays. Enjoyed the Rock and politics display.
The outside grounds are a beautiful park like setting with walking paths, picnic areas, a bridge walkway across the river. Inside the introductory movie begins the history of the Clinton presidency, see a replica of the oval office, move on to many photos, stories, and historical moments in the library display area. Overall, I enjoyed it very much.
