The place is very spacious and had different areas around the property to sit. There were multiple groups there during our visit and they did not impede on each other space. Wine tasting may not be enjoyable if you are a sweet wine drinker but they do have some sweeter options that are not included in the tasting. I love the food truck being available on the property.

Its pretty with different seating areas. Their wine tasting didnt have a lot of differing varieties and the pours were an average 1oz. I enjoyed their frozen sangria, but after an hour it was selling so fast they couldnt keep it frozen. They had a food truck which could help keep you there past an hour or so. But the biggest reason for the 3 stars is that I just didnt enjoy the wine.. any of it. Especially in the southern summer heat, nothing was easy to sip on. I will not be going back or take anyone here.

What an amazing place...I live in Miami and have been up in NC for business for the past year. I have been visiting Medaloni for over 6 months now and I cant say enough great things about the place. Not only do they have amazing wine, but the staff is so incredibly welcoming. Each weekend I go, I truly feel like Im home. I also had the privilege to stay at 2 of their cabins, and it was just an amazing experience. I recommend this to place to anyone!

We were headed to a different winery when we saw this one, so we decided to stop in - BEST DECISION YET! This place is fantastic. Our host was so friendly, taught us a great deal and even treated us with an extra sample or two. The place was so warm and welcoming that we actually bought a glass and stuck around for another hour. Great people, fabulous wine and warm, inviting atmosphere. We will be making the drive (1.5 hours) often! Highly, highly recommend.

Great wine but I won’t go again until they have Covid 19 restrictions beyond what they have now. No info on the website concerning Covid guidelines, no signage visible on the property concerning masks. There were red x marks on the floor For social distancing but the patrons were generally not paying attention to them. Most patrons were mask free even at the tasting /ordering bar. There were signs on the tables outside instructing people not to move the furniture that were also being disregarded. I left the winery because I truly did not feel safe. Let’s ALL try harder to prevent the spread.

One of my favorite NC wineries but visiting here under Covid conditions would not be recommended.Generic red “x”s were taped to the floor in the tasting line, along with a Single chalk board sign encouraging social distancing but other simple precautions were being avoided. I immediately felt anxious about being there. They’re still using regular glasses. On my 2nd glass of wine they did not give me a clean glass and touched my used dirty one to go on and pour for others. I didn’t see hand sanitizer or no staff in masks. Containers for “dirty” glasses were still out in the open spread amongst the seating areas. The number of chairs on the patios appeared to be the same with no accounting for social distancing. And no one was wearing mask. I didn’t see a single staff member cleaning or checking on common areas.Being that I am very familiar with the Precautions businesses are being asked to take (but also familiar with businesses choosing not to) I felt it important for people to know that the efforts being made here were next to none. Very disappointing!

Whether you live locally or at a distance, make sure to put Medaloni Cellars on your list of must visits.Medaloni Cellars is undoubtably my favorite winery in NC. When people think of USA wine they think of California, Washington, or maybe New York. People aren’t wrong, but they are missing out on the gems in North Carolina. Medaloni Cellars is one of the pioneer wineries of the Yadkin Valley AVA working hard to bridge that gap.First off, the wines. There is a little of something for everyone: red, white, and rose; dry and sweet; full bodied and light bodied, etc. they have it all. The best part though is that Joey (owner and winemaker) isn’t reaching such variety by randomly throwing darts at a board and hoping one makes a good wine. He is selective and intentional with each vintage’s varietal, so as to create the best wine possible every time. That said, he is not afraid to get creative. Most recently that I am aware of, he released a bourbon barrel aged red. It is hands down the best wine I have ever had! Usually bourbon barrel aged wine creates a lot of fiery bite that overwhelms any other flavors; not the case – just smooth robust flavor start to finish. Until this specific wine I believed bourbon barrel aging was a fad and had no place in winemaking. Joey proved me wrong; you really just need to find someone that knows what they are doing.Following up great wine is just as great a staff. Ken, Britny, and Liz do an amazing job winetending. Know what you want, they are happy to pour; don’t know where to begin, they know how to get you to where you want to be. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. I remember the first time I went to Medaloni I walked in hoping to get a few bottles for some friends, and two hours later I walked out with plenty of wine, a membership, and my new favorite winery. You really cannot go wrong here.On the weekends they have a lively atmosphere with food trucks and beautiful scenery. My favorite though is managing a trip during a weekday and enjoying a relaxed environment after work.

Rolling hills and lush, green pastures were among the relaxing scenery that accompanied us to Medaloni Cellars. Once on the property, we could see the appeal. This Yadkin Valley vineyard and winery is nestled on 22 acres of land and includes two tasting areas, a variety of fantastic lounging/sitting areas, a playground for kids, three overnight cabins, a wine trail, places for feathered friends, food trucks, and more. With unique spaces for weddings and events, they have so much to offer!

My hubby and I have often stayed in Winston Salem to attend NASCAR races in Martinsville. Happened upon Medaloni Cellars during a Google search of wineries and saw they had a cabin named Chateau Bergeron. Our last name is Bergerson; so I was intrigued. In August, we were going to Replacements, Ltd to sell crystal. I insisted we stay at Chateau Bergeron. It was an awesome and memorable experience. We were going to have a late arrival and they left on the lights. The wine tasting the next day was delicious (and I don’t usually like reds); my hubby loved the wine slushees. After returning from dinner, we sat on the porch and drank wine and took in the incredible view. There was no one nearby so we even danced on the winery patio. The staff was incredible as Alison recommended several delicious restaurants. The tasting room girls were extremely friendly. I sent the owner Joey an email and he immediately responded! Can’t wait for our next visit so we can walk the trails, enjoy delicious wine and slushees and a romantic atmosphere.

Gold Club members at Medaloni. Great wines. Were there today for the band BGs and hopefully dance a little. Really hot day on the back patio, with NO shade and NO fans-- it was unbelievable HOT. While in the front patio there was a GIANT fan, and 6 patrons, with 40-50 people in the back where the band was, nothing to beat the heat. Will not come back until under at least 80 degrees - maybe this winter.

The whole place has a relaxed vibe; its far from stuffy, which is exactly what we wanted. To top it off, the wine is delicious! I tried four or five reds/whites and they were all great. Ive been here 8 times for live music and food trucks. The inside and outdoor space is nice. When the music is indoors and the place is crowded, it can be a bit noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. The wines are decent and views are good. The owner and staff are very friendly. Bring your own picnic or use the food truck when available since no restaurants nearby. I hope theyll have umbrellas in the summer or it will be too hot on the patio. Its about a mile drive off of 421 from 2 different exits. Its definitely worth a visit.

Met the owner one Saturday while I was exploring back roads on my motorcycle. He was so nice and friendly that I came back with the Mrs. the next day and had lunch with a wine tasting. We were blown away. The wine was some of the best weve tried in the area. The open air venue was perfect for catching the breeze and enjoying the view. They also have a few small but fancy cabins that look like a great way to get away for a night or two. This Vineyard is so close to the city of Winston-Salem but when you are there you will feel like you are deep in the heart of wine Country. They host local caterers that provide excellent food to pair with the wine.

Wine was surprisingly good for the area and for a vineyard that had only been open for a few years. The facilities were spacious, attractive and comfortable. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, it had a relaxed atmosphere and was definitely a place you could spend a few hours just sipping on wine. Having a food truck on site was another plus. Id rate it higher but I feel the tasting was overpriced for the area, $7 for 5 wines and $11 for 8 although to their credit they gave good sized samples.

Very nice atmosphere, and their wines are pretty tasty!! Absolutely beautiful grounds, with lots of varied buildings. Theres an outdoor pavilion for parties and tastings. A tasting building that has a great atmosphere, and a could of fire pits outside for cold evenings. A wine trail that had Christmas lights up this holiday season. Also on their list was cabins and a treehouse. We have to check out that treehouse - it sounds intriguing! In addition to tastings and glasses of each wine in their tasting building, they had a selection of cheeses, crackers, pretzels, hummus, and even bottled beer for those not interested in wine. Excellent place - Im sure well be back soon.

Easily our favorite vineyard or winery on the area. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and everyone is so friendly. Its the sort of place you go to hang out on a weekend over and over again and never get bored its also on our list of paces we bring friends and family when they visit.Their bottles are on the moderate to expensive side ($16 - $25) bur their tasting is great and includes a branded piece of stemware.I dont normally like white wines, but I really like theirs! On a hot summer day, check out Metaloni, grab a bottle and enjoy the day.
