It was a nice detour on our trip to Dallas. There was a small playground for the kids and lots of space for them to run and burn energy. We could see planes flying overhead to land at the airport which was pretty cool. The restroom wasnt the cleanest, but other than that a nice stop.
Brand new carts, new range balls, best practice mats in town. Greens were punched a few weeks ago and not sanded well at all because they are still quite bumpy. Fairways are perfect!!! Worth the price even when not in perfect shape and I look forward to seeing how it plays in a couple more weeks. BTW, the service staff is fantastic!!!!
Awesome place for weekend outing. Plenty of beach like space and lots of places to sit and enjoy. Almost like a beach at some places. You can get Jet Ski for rent and it was $80 per hour with minimum 2 hour rental. Really awesome experience. It is very safe in case if you dont know swimming too. bring your food., Chicken for grill, you will enjoy a lot. NEVER forget to bring sun screen during summer.
This lake is amazing, like a mini beach with waves and have little shore.. kids enjoy in water, play on shore sand. Lot of trees and shades.. have places for bbq.. water is not very clear, little muddy. But a very nice place to hang out
A beautiful place to spend the day or a few hours. It is a good place for fishing, boating(you need to bring your own boat), swimming l, grilling or just simply hanging out. You can bring your car near the water for launching boats or simply to park it while you fish. It is beautiful place with soccer field and golf course just nearby. The lake area is really huge, you can easily maintain social distancing while still having access to the park and water area. Their fair is 10$ per vehicle if you are not a Lewisville resident. If you are a resident it is 5$ per vehicle. I saw the board about 3$ person without vehicle, but not sure about the details. Only suggestion for improvement is, to provide a clear direction for parking. We had to just go on hunch to find the parking place. But it is a beautiful place to unwind nonetheless!
Very nice disc golf course! Every hole has 2 options so you can always take the easier one if the path is too challenging or you dont feel comfortable throwing your disc over the river that runs through it. If you drop your disc in the river it can be very difficult to retrieve as theres a steep drop off going into the river. Overall really nice course.
We love this place! Its clean and very family friendly. Great cat fishing off the bank as well.
The views are stunning at this hidden gem, I just wish i knew about this location sooner. ideal for disc golf or just chilling on the lake
Over all very good place. If you like water bbq playing outdoor games.. need cleaning though especially restroom. Having v few swings.. but over all ve good experience
Beautiful place for an outdoor time-out. Plenty of space and lots of places to sit and enjoy. Water is in plenty - almost like a beach at some places. Boats etc. etc. You have to be there to enjoy... Dont forget to bring your food.
Beautiful little RV campground. Water and electric hook up only, but does have a dump site. Located next to a large lake with boating and fishing. Next to a huge sports complex and golf course. Minutes away from everything but you feel way out of town. Will DEFINITELY stay here again.
The most beautiful and peaceful course in dfw. Challenging holes with beautiful scenery makes for one of the best courses around.
Beautiful shade trees embroider this well-kept and much loved lake. There are picnic tables and grills and it was the first time Ive felt normal since this pandemic started. I will definitely be back!
It was such a beautiful day out there the wind was blowing the temperature is not too hot the park wasnt crowded it was a very well maintained and clean Park
The park is great. The athletic fields are very well maintained. Could use a little more TLC outside the playing areas. Be sure to bring bug repellents.
Pretty nice park around the lake. I think you need to pay to enter most areas, but we were able to park at the fields and walk in without issue.
Pretty good place. But i couldnt find good place for fishing. Overall experience was good
Nice to spend the day with kids . Lot of area to grill and enjoy with family . Rest rooms were not open when I visited.
Great place for a breezy camping. can wade through water ...dont forget to take the floaters..
Nice place for picnics and camping. Huge open areas.
The views, they indeed are worth everything... The trees shading you from the sun, the water soothing your eyes... Theres nothing else you need in the world...
Just a nice quiet park. Great place to decompress.
Beautiful place to walk around and relax
Awesome place to hike, bike or spend a day doing bbq.
Very clean! Great picnic areas, not crowded at all so you have plenty of space. However parking is $10.
Very calm views and lots of picnic tables,
Nice small park. Only issue is outside actual rv area, in public access areas lots of loud music. Park hostess Marisa very helpful. Definitely be back.
Lake Park is a lot lot of fun! The campground looks awesome too.
Beautiful lake with a beach... Great recreational and picnic area.
Great disc golf course. Even with the heat, this one has lots of shade.
Nice place to spend with the family. Nice picnic area, almost clean restrooms and some small tees that helps with some shade.
Great spot for picnic. A lot of tables and shade available
The park was closed today due to flooding. But the shores were available when I drove down a little. Its usually a quiet place to relax. Boat traffic the exception. But hey. Its a lake.
Great for walking and hanging out. The beaches are more dirt than sand, and are full of pebbles, sticks and more. Good water views. Not a pretty beach unless you like rocks and wild places. The rangers are chill and hang around so it feels super safe.
Very nice place with good water sports and unconventional party options
Amazing nightly rates. $7-$10. Clean, on the water, state park/lake so a dishing license is not required. Boat ramp, ballpark, soccer field, walking trail, swimming, picnic, playground, fishing piers, tent and r.v. caring, laundry and shower on site.
Its one of the best park that I have visited in the recent past.the nature is at its best.
Love this place, hubbie introduced this one to us about 5 years back and weve purchased an annual pass every year since then. Guest clean up after themselves and we always find a place to sit.
This was a awesome place to go and sit back and be outdoor around nature Definitely will be going back again the lake was awesome and it was beautiful to sit back and enjoy a picnic along side the bank lots of boats to say scares and swimmers got a check out this place I’d give it a five stars thank you Lake Park
Its a nice lake lots of trees for shade and picnic tables so need for chairs yay
I love this placebeautiful natural view
Nice place for swimming and touring bout or anything you like
Getting into the park takes FOREVER right now, because the Ranger office only has one attendant, and their $10 entry fee is CREDIT CARD ONLY! We had about a 45 minute wait in the line of cars, just to get into the park, which we didnt know about until 2 hours before our scheduled boat rental (at least they called, I guess), so we had to make everyone scramble to arrive early enough. But the park is nice, has full bathrooms, and the lake is great too. Its just really busy right now, and the Ranger station is a really bad choke point.
A place to enjoy wit fam or alone good vibes...
$10 daily fee $50 annual fee. Huge park. Lots of parking, Frisbee golf. Bring your water toys big and small.
This park is definitely older and it does cost money to get in, but its less crowded and you are easily able to find a spot to relax thats away from others.
As a Lewisville resident I paid only 3$. But for a nonresident 10$ . But the experience is unforgettable.
Awesome place for family outing/picnic...
Disc golf course is fun, but a few of the holes become unplayable due to the amount of people on the beach area (or as we like to call it, hole 3 and 7)
A really fun place for a summer afternoon picnic. Jetski and boat rentals are very close, so pretty convenient. Not that many changing rooms but the place is pretty spread out so no issues. Also has a separate RV place for those interested. Loads of benches and tables for a packed lunch. Not that many trees so its a fight to get a good spot in the shade.
We loved it. it was really great with a lot of empty space for a group camping BUTTTT... you wanna walk or swim in the eater it is kinda slippery the water was in a way it is supposed to be and if you are planning to go... just br careful in the water. The End byeeeeeee ly
Clean, nice RV park. We had a back on space with 50amp and good tasting, good pressure water. Dump station on the way out. Restrooms in front by the office were cleaner than those by the lake. Liked all the lake and pine tree views, plenty of nice hike and bike trail, adjacent to Lewisville Lake and City athletic facilities. Will come back to camp here. Last time in this area we paid $70 night on Lake Grapevine and only extra was sewer. Here we paid $11 night (senior rate)!!! Great value.
If you like my review please drop a like. :) I am trying to level up here!My friends and I recently went to Lake Park to play disc golf for the first time since it had a good rating. As it turns out the park is pretty awsome. The park itself has soccer fields, baseball diamonds, a golf course, lots of lake side views, RV parking, a playground, a barge for fishing, and boat launches that I saw. It is all reasonably clean and people in the area seemed nice.As for the disc golf course itself, it was a blast. I wasnt very good at the game but I enjoyed it anyway. The area is reasonably clean and it does have a few porta-pots if you need them. (I didnt go in) I like the clear course markings and images to show you where your going next. There are even arrow markers to show you the direction of the next hole. That was helpful. The views of the wooded areas and lake were awsome to play through. The only advise I would give though is either plan to have wet shoes or plan to have to get in the water at some point. I had to fish a disc out 2x.... My fault not the courses.Overall, great experience and great fun. You should go enjoy this park.
One of my favorite courses in the area, but dang people, can you at least not park yourselves on the disc golf tees? Thats extremely disrespectful to the disc golfers.
Nice park to have a picnic. You can also swim and fish.
Very shaded quiet with picnic tables and a grill beside it
Nice scenery and fun to take walks
Clean, great place for a solitary walk during the week.Walk in, no charge.
Wow, I don’t remember this. Must have had a GREAT time! Beautiful pictures though!
Family friendly, very well kept, clean. A pretty welcoming environment that is bustling with hobby groups in the weekends. Great place to fish/swim.
Loved it! For the Texas Pop Turns 50 Festival... Some of the Logistics needed refinement but Overall it was more than Adequate for the Crowd and the Show... ZZ Top!
I dont give 5 stars to places easily .But this place sure deserve 5 stars easily .The environment, amenities around the place, hospitable nature, the simple presence of everything at right place is calming .We swam, had fun fishing,I have yet to try speed boating which can be rented from nearby shops .The place is kids friendly, a nice place to relax and enjoy the day out with your friends or family .The view of lake is mesmerizing, people are seen sailing, boating, fishing, having their BBQs, kids collecting shells, running around .what else to expect as a escape from the city life .
I advise everyone to come and enjoy these beautiful sites
I love ️ this place, great for walks, mushroom hunters, fishing, and Fig loves it too
Our dog had a BLAST. Will come again.I recommend bringing chairs and a folding table or blanket. Not that many sitting spots and the best spots have no sitting areas. Very beautiful lake and perfect place for lake fun. We will defiantly be back. There is a fee to get in and they only take cash.
The park has lovely paths for biking and walking. There are also plenty of boat launches and picnic benches and its usually pretty clean. The beaches are very gravelly so I recommend water shoes, especially for the kids.
A beautiful place for kids, videos, quality time with your family
During the week visit so not many people. We enjoyed ourselves.
Always clean! Nice place to jog, swim and take your boat out at.
Wonderful sunny Saturday.Note: the entry fee for Lewisville non residents -$10. But it’s worth it.
I didnt go in. I was just an uber driver picking someone up and they STILL wanted me to pay $10 to go in and immediately leave.
Excellent place for weekend retreat or for family gatherings. We really had fun here.
Fantastic very beautiful place to enjoy
Decent course, nothing fancy. Greens need to be rolled more often, really bumpy. Driving range grass is good, balls are low end. Some of the tee boxes are being resodded so tees are moved way up on an already short course. Pretty good concessions but no cart service.
Love it had a great time.
Fun but challenging disc golf course nearby. Bring extra discs.
Very relaxing and spacious place... you pay once at the gate, and so many great places to park and relax in the sun next to the lake!
Beautiful relaxing and easy access to water
Great place for a celebration! Boats can come right up to the dock @walking distance.
Great place to play not to many elevation changes, beautiful scenery next to lake, open yet strategic. Fun for all levels!! Got an Ace today YEA BOY!!!!!!
A very nice place to walk trails or dip in in sunny weather.. or perhaps perfect place to walk your dogs and put them to swim.. I know my dogs love the area..
Very clean and peaceful area.
This park is great, i paid $5 and wow.
What a great Honor to help escort The Wall that Heals to Lake Park, and what an amazing experience to learn of all the locals that served, sacrificed and help raise the funds for the memorial.
Good place for picnic, swimming and fishing
So much trash it’s insane. But could be really nice.
Beautiful Scenery, challenging course, recipe for relaxing enjoyment
Vast lake.. good for walking, picnic..
Nice quiet place this time of year. Not overly crowded with boats and people. Very calm and relaxing.
Nice disc golf course
I love the beautiful scenery
