Peaceful and a great place to ponder and find solitude.
One of the most consistently inspiring places I have ever visited.
Its a wonderful place to rflect and relax, even with small children. We tend to let our kids run around, and here they were able to burn off some energy but also to enjoy the beautiful flowers and trees and benefit from the Tranquility of the place. Of course we didnt let them climb on sculptures and rocks, but they still were free to be kids. The only reason why I dont give it 5 stars is because its a little expensive, especially for large families.
The craft in the sculptures is exquisite. The garden is beautiful. I especially liked the portrayal of the story of Lazarus rising from the dead—you can view Jesus looking down into the tomb from the perspective of Lazarus.I was disappointed that the portrayal of Jesus appeared to be a Caucasian, European man, rather than a more accurate depiction of a middle-eastern 1st century Jew.The garden is mostly tailored to a Mormon audience, but I do think most mainstream Christians could find value out of it (just skip the First Vision display near the end).Speaking of the First Vision, I felt the display was highly sugarcoated. Many Mormons dont realize there are multiple accounts of Joseph Smiths first vision that differ greatly. This display perpetuates the sugarcoated narrative of the Mormon church.
So beautiful. It touched my heart! Cant believe the level of detail that went into the sculptures. Unbelievable talent!
Fabulous. Definately a great feeling
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring!
Extremely beautiful! Only complaint is there seems to be no limit of how many people they allow in this place because it was really hard to get pictures and just so many people it was hard to walk anywhere. I do admire all the work they put into this place though. The tulips were gorge
I had no idea Ashton Gardens had these larger-than-life, exquisite sculptures of the ministry of Christ. At first I thought there was just one--then I saw another, and another--I dont even know how many there were. I think my favorite was of Him walking on water. I loved the one where He was with the hens and chicks, too. They were all wonderful. I also liked that they were displayed in a photo op manner; you could walk up and touch them or even sit in the Saviors lap. It was more than worth the entrance fee just to experience such beautiful and uplifting art.
I went with a group that had covered the cost of my ticket, but I did notice that normal adult price was $17 which seems like not a lot of bang for your buck. Its pretty neat to see, but I still dont understand why its super crowded even on weekdays. Maybe Im missing something?
Its such an amazing place. The statues are great, the gardens are beautiful. I love all the unique stories told with each statue set. Scriptural references with each one of them give you an idea every theme.
Stunning light display set to music in a garden environment. I knew the lights would be good, maybe even great, but after my first visit, I would label them exceptional. There is a long field of LED Lights inside translucent bowls that are choreographed to music. Similar, in a way, to the display on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. There are many other themed light displays throughout the tour. There is even a religious area apart from the main path that is inspiring in its own way. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints will get the most out of it, but the Biblical theme is most prominent. Price is steep, but there are ways to save money. Parking appears to well coordinated. Egress wasnt much of an issue.
The Light of the World garden is an amazing spiritual experience where one feels they are walking with the Savior in his mortal existence and feel of his love, compassion and his pain and anguish. The artists talent was a gift from Heaven and was truly inspired to create these pieces. The placement of the statues is remarkable. This garden can only grow in popularity and become a destination for followers of Christ worldwide.
A great family experience!
Not as amazing as people have been sayingNot really worth the price in my opinion. Have more fun else where. Took 45 min for hot cocoa with a small line. Everyone who ordered ended up asking for refunds I suggest bringing your own hot cocoa if you do go. Wish music was louder.
Wonderful place to go to contemplate the life of Christ. Several statues depicting his life and the miracles He did. Worth a visit, especially if theres an even going on in those gardens (such as the Tulip Festival or Luminaria). Four stars because it can be expensive to get into the gardens- about $20 a person.
Enjoyed the lights and the music. Good time to spend with family. My only knock is on the price. My 20 bucks per person adds up if youre not a Thanksgiving Point member...
This place is very fun to visit. I went during the winter. The lights and light shows are wonderful! Perfect for a night out with the family
Breathtaking statues about Christs life in a quiet prairie gardenscape. Makes you feel like youre in both Utah and ancient Israel. I recommend going at night - the lighting is phenomenal
Beautiful lifesize bronze statues set among the gardens depicting scenes from Christs life. Amazing to behold!
This is a majestic display with moving depictions of the Savior beginning in chronological order and moving through His miracles including some of His less known. It was soul-stirring and truly impactful. The investment must have been huge and it is worth the fee to view.
Amazing! I loved this garden. The sculptures follow up ng Christs life are beautiful. B
Its definitely worth the visit. I would like to see the sculptures during the day and when it isnt so cold
Definitely in the top 3 of best of show. Great light display. Dress warm!
It was beautiful! The artists renditions of christs life really touches hearts.
Pretty cool place to walk through during Christmas season to get everyone in the mood. Just about ever tree, bush, shrub, stone, fence, building, etc... even volunteers have lights on them. Great way to spend family time. Pre-order tickets are pretty reasonable. Hot chocolate, donut, waffle, and smores stands every 100 yards.
This is a peaceful place to feel the love of Jesus Christ and to see sculptures from his lifes work. Inspiring!
So peaceful and beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!
One of my most favorite places in all of Utah!
Amazing place to reflect on Christs life. Quiet atmosphere, great artwork.
Definitely the highlight of the Luminaria experience. Great sculptures depicting the Saviors life and mission.
A great place to walk through the life of Jesus Christ and let children experience those stores.
Get there just as dusk is coming to beat crowds and park close. Dress warm ...more warmly than you think.
Our little trip there was absolutely wonderful it was beautiful that was just a good trip for us very nice
Worth every penny, we especially loved the statues of the savior, Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Really stellar experience. Rivaling anything Disney would produce. Worth every penny.
