Enjoyed everything about this Winery/Vineyard. I love testing out new wineries and this is one of my favorites as of now. The staff was friendly, funny and accommodating. The food was incredible offering farm to table plates with menus changing repeatedly. The wine was great, Im a cabernet gal and they had a variety which I absolutely loved. You cant bring outside food but the menu option offered is incredible. They have table and chairs strategically arranged all around from inside to outside under covered patio or under trellises. Picnic tables settled all through out with umbrellas for a gorgeous day.I went with two of my good friends for a birthday and Id say a great time was had by all.

We went on a Monday in November. It was wonderful. The server was kind, knowledgeable and made us feel safe (for covid reasons). The atmosphere and environment definitely make you feel like youre in a winery and its lovely. Food was also delicious (they have gluten free bread!).

This was our third stop of the day. I have been here before but did not recognize the inside it was very very nice. Plenty of seating outside due to Covid but we were able to make reservations and sit inside. Shared a bottle of the Rosa wine and a chocolate dessert that was very very good. I will definitely have to come back here again.

Not worth the drive. Made a reservation and drove 45 min to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. They denied us service because I brought along my 3 month old daughter whom was sleeping in her car seat. Yes, they clearly state that it is a 21 and older establishment but you have to be some kinda stuck up to deny service to a mother and newborn baby.

Our first visit to this Winery and with a 4.3 overall rating we were skeptical. However, this was one of our best winery experiences especially in the Virginia area, so far. Their process for post covid-19 is easy, yes you need reservations with time commitments and pre-ordered service, but its not a problem and makes sense. Meredith our server was attentive and helpful. We split a salad, an order of scallops and roasted carrots, and an olive oil cake. The food was exceptional. We paired it with a bottle of Vidal blanc. It was perfect. And reading some of the online reviews we feel this Winery is definitely under rated. For people who think that this should be a family place all I can say is wineries are not for children, just go Chuck-E-Cheese.We will be back!!

Lost Creek is a hidden gem! I went for a wine tasting with my friends and was amazed by the kindness and knowledge of the staff. The chef himself came out to check on us and to tell us about the food he prepared for us! We were able to enjoy the wine at our private table! No squeezing and waiting our turn by overcrowded tasting bar! Where else can you get that?! This truly is a haven with relaxing, quiet and peaceful atmosphere! Highly recommend Lost Creek!!!

I had a wine tasting and food with some friends yesterday at Lost Creek. My friends and I had a wonderful afternoon, enjoying good food and wine. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. We had two people helping us who were very knowledgeable of their wines and of wine overall. We also met the chefs who made the great meals when they came out and checked on us. How often does that happen? It makes you feel like a valued customer. I liked being able to do the wine tasting at our table while we were eating so we could take our time and enjoy both. Most wineries I have been to, you need to wait for a spot at the tasting bar (which could take a while if its crowded or there are groups in front of you) and the tasting is rushed and then you need to quickly decide what to pick if you want a glass or bottle. I liked that the staff didnt rush me or was pushy in any way. I was also pleasantly surprised that I liked all of the wines in the tasting. That almost never happens for me! Thank you Lost Creek for a wonderful afternoon, I will definitely be back!

I dont particularly care for white wine and this would of course include chardonnay. Or so I thought. The stainless aged chardonnay that Lost Creek makes is otherworldly. The flavors are crisp and refreshing. The staff was also very knowledgeable and friendly that it was a very welcoming experience.

I just had the best time at the winery with my friends. The staff was very knowledgeable and personable. It was a very relaxed environment unlike a lot of the overly crowded wineries where you are crammed together to get a tasing. The staff did not rush us but was very attentive whenever we needed anything. They did two side by side wines (red and white) so you can taste the difference even though they are both the same type of wine. All the tastings are at your private table which was perfect for my friends and I to catch up. The food was amazing! We even saw them picking the greens for the salad before serving us! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a beautiful quite cozy getaway!

We’ve been going to Lost Creek for several years and are members. We enjoy there wines immensely. You can taste all the time and effort that Todd the winemaker has put forth into the beautiful mature wines they serve. Each red is distinctly different from each other, extremely pleasant to drink, with good quality, balanced, and not excessively fruity. A wine with maturity in mind! Yes it’s adult friendly, and quite frankly that’s another reason I find it quite appealing! Thank you Todd and Aimee for all your efforts in making Lost Creek a wonderful vineyard to sip good wine and relax!

I rarely review places but felt obligated to do so. My mother, husband, and I wanted to do a tasting after Easter brunch and this is very close to my parents house. The wine was not very good. There were seven wines offered in the tasting for $15. Each tasted a tad bit different than the previous wine...and not a one to my liking. I am not picky when it comes to wine, either! The service was the worst...about 5-10 minutes between some of the pours and it was not busy at all! And the truffles served with the last wine were moldy. Tasters beware!

Loved our visit to Lost Creek on Sunday. We came for a tasting and were impressed by the atmosphere. The tasting room is gorgeous and you can tell they probably do events here throughout the year. The person who did our tasting just moved from Oregon and was so nice to talk to. She was knowledgeable about the wines she presented and was really enthusiastic about Virginia wines. We ended up sitting outside and enjoying a cheese plate (why they didnt get five stars) and a glass of wine on the patio. The cheese plate was a little lacking and we did not get an explanation of what the cheeses were. The wines were really nice. One of us got the premier tasting and the other the classic. Both were great and highlighted the wines . Definitely worth checking out.

Really nice place. Can enjoy indoors or 3 different patios outside. Very peaceful. Wife and I loved 2 of their red blends: Trinity and Provenance. And Lost Creek has the best food menu of anybody in the area. We loved their Slider Trio sandwiches. We will go back and try more. Somebody else recently gave them a bad review; I think that person got mixed up where they were.

I need to get back to Lost Creek for another visit but Ive enjoyed the two visits that Ive made so far. The winery was under different ownership the second time I stopped in and the atmosphere definitely seemed more welcoming. The winery itself has a nice upscale feeling but still somewhat homey. The outdoor patio area seems like a wonderful place to hang out and relax for a while with a glass.

A group of 8 of us went to the winery for tastings or a glass of wine. When we arrived, we were told that we should have made a reservation. There were 4 people at the outside tables, 3 at the bar and one table of 2 seated inside. After a 5 minute wait we were given a table. After another 10 minutes a waitress came to attend to us. By the time we left, 45 minutes later, the place was at maybe 20% capacity. We were very put off by the unfriendly greeting. We will never go back.

My sister and I visited their Vineyard over a weekend recently and were very pleased with both the wines and the staff! They have a beautiful location and the staff is quite friendly and warm. We even stayed and chatted for a bit and purchased several bottles of wine. The Vineyard House is beautifully decorated and offers a pleasant and sophisticated location either for an afternoon of winetasting have some form of a social event.

The new owners, Todd and Aimee, have done wonderful things for the wines. They are making substantial changes to the vineyard and the wines so the their wines are becoming top-notch NOVA wines. The tasting room is relaxing and weve always had great interaction with the employees and owners. The events are fun, and its great that they partner with other local companies for events - The Wine Kitchen, and Moms Apple Pie to name a few.

I dont know where to begin. We had our wedding at Lost Creek on 6/2/2017. From the second we stepped on the premises looking for wedding venues to the moment we stepped on the bus leaving our wedding, our experience with Lost Creek and their staff (shout out Melissa and Joanna) was nothing short of perfection. I usually try to look for an area of improvement in reviews and I can honestly think of none. As the hub for all the other vendors needed for the wedding, Lost Creek effortlessly coordinated all the behind the scenes activities essentially acting as our wedding planner. Everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with and if you dont take my word for it know that we havent stopped hearing from everyone who attended how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly the event ran. If you have a wedding between 100-200 people, and you like wine, you are making a mistake not to choose Lost Creek.Nick and Tina Vienna, VA

Amazing venue with a upstairs view that is fantastic. Several white wines among a large selection of red ones. They also pair wine with small sample foods and that helped a lot to be in out the flavor of both the wines and food. Would come.baxk again as the tasting menu changes every month.

The winery is lovely and they offer a fairly large collection of original pieces of art. The wine is immature though. The Merlot offered during tasting was only a month in the bottle and I highly doubt it would be good if left to age more that 24 months. The only bright spot in the tasting was the ice wine which was delicate and delightful. That I would recommend it and dump the rest.

This is one of our favorite two wineries in Virginia. Every wine is well crafted and balenced: our favorites are the Provenance, Serenity, Trinity, and Rose. You should stop by for a wine and truffle tasting, the occassional lobster pairing, or just to enjoy some live music on the patio in the summer.

Review №56

Among the worst VA wines weve tasted so far. Every wine on this weekends list (3/19/17) had something to distinctly dislike about it. Some were badly out of balance, due to over-oaking, too much alcohol, or both. Others were extremely thin and flavorless (vidal blanc & rosé). Another big gripe: the rosé isnt a true rosé at all, just a blend of barrel-aged merlot & tank-fermented vidal blanc. Theres a reason real rosé isnt made this way and it shows. This is not a matter of taste; this is objective failure in quality winemaking.Their flagship wines are equally unlikeable. They compare them to wines from Bordeaux, but one can only assume no one from Lost Creek has ever been to Bordeaux - thats the only way to explain such a ridiculous comparison. The only things these wines have in common with Bordeaux wines are the grape varieties contained within. To add insult to injury, Lost Creek charges $40/bottle for these wines. If you sample what $40 will buy in California or France, youll quickly understand - again, speaking objectively - that Lost Creek has a lot of work to do before they can justify their prices. The tasting room is very nice, but the grounds are ho-hum. Our server was knowledgeable & personable, but it was hard to politely dodge the constant barrage of How do you like that one? Maybe better to just pour & describe the wines instead of putting guests on the spot for feedback.I dont like to name other businesses in my reviews, so I wont recommend competing wineries here. Ill just say that if youre looking to taste wine in NE Loudoun County (Potomac Cluster), you can do much better.
