We spent about three hours at the animal park! There were tons of activities and different animals to see. The kids loved it. Worth the $60 we spent on tickets especially when comparing to chuck e cheese or a bounce park. I would highly recommend to bring a small bag lunch. We packed light snacks. The food pricing was very high $8 cheeseburgers and $5 Hotdogs $5 for lemonade. Overall great experience looking forward to returning next year.
Took my youngest son to Leesburg Animal Park it was a really hot day so we didnt stay to long, but it was really neat there was camels and zebras monkeys etc the day we were there they had a show n tell guy showing snakes. You can buy feed the feed the animals but mostly animals were laying down and not very active because it was a 102 heat index. My child I had a really nice time. It would be worth going back again on a cooler day.
Ive been there 3 or 4 times I love it not only do they have farm animals but also exotics! Such as zebras lemurs and even camels im pretty young (only 11) but im in love with animals specifically reptiles and a love the tortoises you have there and even though I am young I would love to volunteer there i know im young but im willing to care for the animals and help you care for them thanks! I promise if you allow me to volunteer you went reget it!
Took my son to the fall festival over the weekend and he had so much fun he did not want to leave! So many different activities for children they can’t get bored. Very well adapted to COVID guidelines, I loved how every station had hand sanitizing stations. Highly recommend!
Our 7 year old daughter had an amazing birthday party here at the Leesburg Animal Park! The staff were wonderful and professional, especially the front desk supervisor Irene, our party host McKenzie, and the general manager Megan. They were very helpful in hosting our party of 40+ guests, treated our guests with a smile on their faces, and were so generous and flexible with their time. Our party host McKenzie workd hard to help us set up the party room; kept calm throughout the party of 20+ little monsters, and always offering help when we needed it. The price was more than fair and the activities for the kids were super fun. We had so many compliments! We will definitely come back to host more birthday parties at the Leesburg Animal Park.
I dont understand some of the negative reviews. This very spacious and well kept park has LOTS of different animals (mostly farm type from all over the world), also has a few others too, like zebras, camels, lemurs, porcupine, gibbons, etc. All the animals appeared very well kept and their environments all had things in them to stimulate them. You wont see elephants and lions and tigers and bears, but there is lots to see and do. I dont feel its expensive at all, and Im pretty frugal. My granddaughter and I spent at least 3 fun hours there today. We toured the whole park. My favorite is lemur Island. She loved feeding the animals and playing on the many play areas they have. This animal park is definitely geared toward children. I will be sure to go back with my grandchildren in the fall for the pumpkin patch. We were there on Wednesday, not crowded, no long lines, social distancing was easy.
Lovely place to spend a few hours. Geared toward younger elementary school set. Perfect for my first grader. Please note: 50%-80% of adults not wearing masks and 90% of children not wearing masks. They make announcements but no enforcement. It was quite uncomfortable and we ended up leaving early.
Little overpriced but probably like most these places. The Food Truck defiantly not to recommend.
This place was extremely beautiful, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed coming here. What was the best were the many free roaming geese and ducks. They also have wagon rides, horse rides and camel rides. Also the trainers really love their jobs and animals! Would definitely come again!
Definitely must bring lunch or eat somewhere before you come. The food is too expensive here. A very small hotdog is $5. My boy wanted cheese dog, they didnt have cheese sauce so they put a slide of white cheese in it and charged me additional $3 for a slide of cheese. Total I had to pay for 2 small cheese dogs was $16 plus tax. So $6 for 2 slides of cheeses :( At grocery store we can buy $5 for a pack of cheese slide and it has about 20 slides). Its unbelievable :(Other than that the park is ok. Love all the animals.
Great place for kids. My daughter loves going there to see the animals and play on the boat and other play structures.
A lot of different animals to see. Even baby goats to feed. Great place to take young children.
My girls had a great time! Said best farm & pumpkin patch
My 3 years old loves this place!! We’ve been there a few times and it feels safe the way they organized everything, and always reminds the visitors to follow protocols for COVID-19
Excellent morning at the park - most people following covid precautions, not crazy crowded, and only one goat puked
Beautiful place the animals are so adorable and feeding the ones you can was great!
One of our favorite spots for a fun day outside! The pumpkin festival is amazing!
Extremely spacious area. They have some pretty cool animals. Not a ton of them, but just enough to keep you and the little ones occupied for at least two hours.
Not what I expected after looking at the reviews before I took my kids. There wasn’t much there as far as animals. I was so confused as to why admission cost didn’t match what was there. Disappointed. And I paid extra for a pony ride that lasted 60 seconds if that. I’ll give 1 star because we did see a cute gibbon with their baby.
A perfect outing with kids. The place is laid out perfectly to keep them interested and happy, with great animal attractions as well as play areas (indoor and outdoor, including a coloring/library room), giant slides, and even fishing!
While this place is kind of expensive ($90 for 3 kids and 3 adults) the park is nice. There were several domestic and foreign animals and a large indoor and medium sized indoor playground to wear everyone out. We spent over 2.5 hours there and the kids (all under 10) never once said they were bored.
Nice place specially with kids.
I understand that COVID calls for certain protocols but masks outside the whole time for young kids (2+) is a little unnecessary. My 5 year old was scolded for sipping an overpriced drink we bought from there because she took her mask down. There were no staff present on the bounce houses or slides making it a free for all and dangerous for younger kids. The food is incredibly overpriced. I paid $40 for hot dogs, chips, water, and snow cones. And was barely allowed to give them $20 more for little stuffed animals for my kids because they had to sanitize the gift shop. Overall, a pretty bad experience and an incredibly expensive day. Would NOT recommend for anyone in the northern VA area. Down in Fredericksburg places are much nicer and cheaper.
Pumpkin time..Columbus day visit, lots of kids and great fun for several hours. Animals and staff all very accommodating. A bit pricey at $16 per person plus pony rides and animal food expenses but memories made with grandsons so $$well spent.
It was okay for the price, but didnt have anything super amazing but I think my expectations were just to high. Did get her a really awesome tshirt though and a container of toy bugs . Coolest thing there was the monkey and her baby.
This was such a nice place to visit. From the sweet cashier that checked us in to the active animals. This was a great day. The animals were happy and you can tell.
Absolutely 5 stars
Great place to take the kids. All types of animals to see here. I really love what they did over the Memorial day weekend (Opened the park for drive though). My little one had such a great time. Cant wait to go back!
I love this place. Zebus are my favorite!
16$/head is not expensive. Otherwise a good place to visit
During challenging times, they turn the zoo into a drive around in your car zoo. Was able to see the majority of animals and the kids enjoyed it. Would highly recommend for something to do. Would come back.
Just a great place to see and interact with animals. Enjoyed the learning sessions where they bring out animals to learn about.
Very nice place. Lots of animals and a great, safe space for kids and toddlers to play. Our little one enjoyed chasing goats and feeding some birds. We went a bit before Halloween, was very nice with all the fall colors and pumpkin around.
Spent 5 hours with 5 year old grandson and had a blast every minute
Very good day trip with little kids. You won’t regret it! Clean animals very friendly people! Going to be come a regular here.
Everything was very lively friendly crowd and employees. And they have variety of animals..
Worth the money. Lots to do and not super crowded! They also have a lot of cool animals. The pumpkin selection was great. Our kids had a great time.
One of the best animal interactive parks we have been to. It was so much fun. Being able to go into the contact area and pet and feed the animals close up was awesome. The baby animals meet and greet was adorable. My daughter loved petting a 3 day old lamb. It was very educational. Staff was so helpful and friendly and welcoming. We will def return and highly recommend it.I do wish there was a hand wash station near the contact area especially after feeding the pig lolThe one we found the water was off. Regardless this was a 10/10 for how excellent this place is. Animals look well cared for and happy. What a fun day!
Thought it was good. Animals seem well taken care of.
I have been here about 3-4 times here, it is a little bit overpriced but what makes it uncomfortable to visit is that around the play areas and small podium with benches in front haave no umbrellas stands, so you are basically under 100 degrees burning while your kid is burning as well playing, my memories here are painful while my son loves the small houses, wooden boat, slider they desperately need to invest in putting some trees around that area and umbrella stands. Yesterday was my last visit as well a couple I chatted I little bit with, I needed to leave or would need medical attention, I was very concerned about my 3 year old son as well, the show was empty and no one was sitting on the benches because of that. I cant believe they havent invested in a couple of these umbrellas I even have 2 at home.
If your kid is passionate about animals and you want to avoid a bigger zoo trip, this is a wonderful option. Plenty to do, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, and its bigger than you think.
Great for little kids! The slides with potatoe sacks are the best part!
Great for the under 10 crowd. Animals to feed, from various kinds of goats, a camel, pigs, to other rarer types of animals, wallabies, gibbons, lemurs. And tortises. Ride a horse. Take a tractor ride, feed some fish, ride a burlap sack down some longer hill slides, and let the kids play in various wooden structures.
Beautiful place for the family, specially those little kids who may not be ready to walk a whole zoo or interested in very exotic animals. Lots of shade, lots of animals to pet, clean restrooms, friendly staff. It was a beautiful experience with my daughter.
Love the Fall Festival, cause it has a lot of activities for the kids. You also get a small pumpkin to bring home also free apple cider and yummy apples, dont miss the animal talks, you can get to pet a tarantula o lizards or any other...
Great local animal park. Took pretty good measures in regards to covid pandemic.
Awesome place year round. Great for kids. Animals are treated well.
I love all the different animals that they at.
My favorite playground as an adult!!If you have kids, this place is a must visit. I have a lot of fun without any kids, just petting animals, taking photos and enjoying the beautiful nature here. Terrific facility and great staff!
I am not a big fan of zoos which handicap animals in unreasonable enclosures. Having said that, Leesburg Animal Park doesnt try to impress you caging in a huge variety of animals : most of them are domesticated animals found on farms. The reason I didnt give a 5 star rating to this otherwise incredible toddler destination is because of poor maintenance of structures. The reason I recommend this place is because 2-6 year olds have plenty to do: animal feeding, petting, park, toy homes to play hide and seek, slides for the young and the old, jungle gym, birthday party celebration packages, video room, horse rides, inflatables to keep bouncing on all day....the list seems endless.
Im an adult and I enjoyed it
This was a great adventure for me and my family. I bought the VIP for my daughter which is the best deal for your kids.... u pay for riding the camel but its worth. Yet, there are other interesting thing free for the family!
It was great the kids had so much fun
I absolutely loved this place. Very friendly staff and the animals are well taken care of. We watched a reptile animal show which my kid loved. We went during winter months so couldnt enjoy the outdoors kid activities so well be going back for sure
The animals are most active at dawn and dusk.
Great staff thats helpful, knowledgeable, and does well truly taking care of the animals. They have lots of baby animals there. (A great example of contentment of animals. )
Nice to take kids for 30 to45 minutes to see the animals
Nice place, even as a drive through. When we can walk through, we will be back.
It is very very beautiful, my children loved it.
Great for the kids! Had indoor center with play area. Great caretakers for the animals they were knowledgeable and great interacting with their audience. Ponyride sucked to pay $3.50 for one lap around.
Great place for festive fun.
Took our grandkids to the park and had a decent time 14 for adults 11 for kids under 2 free not a bad park pony rides and camel rides cost extra as does food for the animals a petting zoo and regular zoo rolled into one Gibbons were really fun to watch with their calls
Nice place to bring the kids. The price is a little high, so try to find a groupon. We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon with 1.5 hours to see everything before closing time. Which wasnt a big deal, just wanted to go and check out the zoo come back another time. We will!
What a great time we all had there! There is so much to do for the kids and for the adults to participate with them!!
Even during the pandemic, its great to take the kids to look at the kids. They are even giving out tickets to visit again when they reopen after the pandemic.
They did a great job with the drive through experience! We had a blast and the staff was awesome!
This place is great for little kids! My 4 year old had a blast feeding all the farm animals and playing on the wooden play structures and giant slides.
Nice Pumpkin Festival. Hay rides, zip lines, slides, and a petting zoo with sheep and goats.
My son really enjoyed the animals, we couldnt see them all cause it was cold and they were hiding but its always good to be in touch with nature. They have indoor and outdoor play area, library and show. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff.
Great place for kids and family
So much to do with young kids. Lots of activities. Clean bathrooms, play areas inside and out. Food trucks, fishing animals.
Not bad at all. Worth the money.
Wonderful drive-thru zoo during quarantine! and many more!
Fun for the family, only gets 4 stars because its just a little too expensive to go back to all the time. Good for younger kids awesome play place inside, big slides outside, small club houses, and of coarse all the cool animals. Would definitely recommend.
Its too expensiveA family of 5 for example would have to pay almost 80$$U can go to Washington zoo for free
Really a great outing for the younger crowd on a nice day. For the price there is tons to do (so much we couldnt do it all before the kids ran out of energy). Many moon bounces and play structures but the highlight was definately the kids zip line and pedal cars. There was so much to do the animals took back seat to the Pumpkin Village activities. Our only suggestion is maybe a few food trucks or snack options so the little ones can refuel and get on to more fun.
Took my 5 year old and she loved it. So many different animals. Petting zoo. And lots of things to play on. Would definitely go again
Great family activity. Lots of neat animals, a petting zone, and plenty of outside play grounds including bounce houses, giant slides, etc
We went during covid-19, so things were closed and we couldnt get the full experience.
Lots of fun and the animals are really nice. Very clean facility and friendly staff!
Love seeing all of the animals
Great place for kids especially during the fall when they have the pumpkin village! My two year old lives to feed the animals, but his favorite part were the slides and bounce houses.
Loads of fun for the kids.
So much fun for the whole family! The contact area is a lot of fun for little ones and I love that they have the option to brush the animals. My 5 year old would have happily brushed the animals for hours. We went in the spring so there were a lot of adorable babies. Everyone who worked there was very pleasant. They have so many outdoor play areas that we didnt have time to enjoy the inside playground before we left to have lunch but hope to come back soon and play there! It looked like a lot of fun!
Staff was friendly and helpful. We did go on a hot day and animals were pretty much resting or avoiding the heat when possible. The children loved the petting and feeding area but I felt bad for the goats because they were panting from the heat amd there just did not seem like enough shaded area. The outside play space was fun but all of the inflatables were deflated i am assuming due to high temps. All in all i will probably attend again just go during cooler months.
The animals all look so healthy and my kiddo loves it here. The indoor space is awesome too!
My kids love this place. Its always been awesome, but theyve made it even better by building a better contact area and making a new rule that the goats and sheep can only be fed thru the fence, which keeps one from being bum rushed by overly enthusiastic goats. The pony rides make my kids so happy. We come at least twice a year!
A fantastic bargain for the experience. My family has enjoyed going for years
I have more experience with wild & exotic animals than most. I can be very critical of animal husbandry and adequate housing. I visited this establishment today, 7/2/19-a hot summer day, and could not be more impressed. The health of the animals (hooves, hair coats, body weight, clean enclosures, etc.) as well as the maintenance of the grounds showed zero faults. Properly owning these animals in todays day and age takes a lot of care and it certainly shows that the owners of Leesburg Animal Park take that seriously. We will be returning!!!
Quite pricy, and the quality is far inferior comparing to the DC zoo
Just a goat feeding farm! Beware the place is not what is advertised! They just have goats and camels.. too much money to just feed goats
Great place for the children and adults
My grand daughter had a blast. Was a beautiful day. Went on a Wednesday and it wasnt very busy at all.
Very nice place, all employees are very kind and greet you with a smile. Set up is nice, loops you around several paths to see all the animals they have. Fun for the family and pleanty of picnic tables if you wanted to bring snacks to enjoy or just relax.
