Love this little splice of paradise!!!

This is where my husband and I live...so Im a bit prejudice..BUT....its friendly and well kept.There are a LOT of cats roaming and not all of them are friendly...but for the most part they leave you alone if you leave them alone. I look at it as free rodent preventive care.For the money there are many amenities that you can avail yourself of if you want.I cant vouch for every street and person here,but everyone weve met has been friendly but not intrusive. So,bottom line.....nice place to live....if youre looking you should make arrangements to stop in and take a look.

Very nice community for senior citizens. They have a lot of different things for them to do like horseshoes, shuffle board, pools to swim, tennis court, bingo, pool hall, ECT.

Nice park and a great place to retire in Florida anyway

The management team at mid Florida lakes dont care about their Tennants only about their money. My grandson in Kentucky had a horrible accident and I had to move there to help my daughter and son in law take care of him. All mid Florida lakes cared about was getting their money. Then they sent me a bill that was totally wrong. Charge me for things I had already paid for with checks. Charge me for water sewer and garbage when I didnt even live there. A lot better places in Leesburg to stay than here.

Beautiful Location with fabulous community life. When looking for a home you should estimate and extra $50.00 for all the add ons that were not explained prior to my purchase. And it increases yearly.

Many many activities available at this retirement gated park. Also has bus service about 3x/week to different shopping areas. Ultra nice pool room & they have a travel competition group. Very active club house. Conveniently close to grocery stores, movies, pharmacies, Walmart etc. Older homes in this rental park have more room than the new ones (more room is good for full time residence). Enjoy the two pools & happy neighbors

I believe that they are very racist. Other people of color where denied housing based on made up or False claims. My purchase was going to b a CASH BUY. BUT WAS STILL DENIED??

The rules are excessive and work only for the mfl Corp. They do NOT really care about the homeowners. The security gate is always broken, and they take days to fix it..We have had cases of people sneaking in all the time, and, I use that term losely because anyone can get into this park.

Great amenities all sorts of activities and events quiet surroundings a good place to live

In just two years my lot charge had increased almost $200. Residents now pay for water, sewage and garbage. Also. Even buying I want informed of all the extra charges and taxes that are not listed. Beautiful community and friendly people. But quickly becoming our of my budget. Very sad.

HOA community... Grass is always high and needing cut.. They never ever weed or edge and the water is horrible. The entrance and exit gates are always broke and wide open and the pools dont get cleaned like the should be they are green in color

Great time on Haunes Creek and Lake Griffith...

I have been visiting my family there for years and have seen the change. It is now more lax with senior age restrictions. They removed the showers which were convenient to wash off the chlorine from swimming. There used to be a human guard/greeter at the gate- now its electronic. Pool is not heated in the summer months- thus a very chilly morning exercise class.

I am reviewing this because it came up as a place I have visited, which I have many times and will again.Mid Florida Lakes is listed here as a campground, but it is a 55+ manufactured home retirement community. There are rental units available, however. There are some amenities: two outdoor swimming pools, horseshoes pits, dog park, tennis courts (which perhaps they should consider changing at least one of to Pickleball). A clubhouse with an exercise room, computer facilities and organized activities such as Bingo and cards. Oh, and organized trips, both day trips and overnight and - well, I dont live there so I dont know all of it. Two of our friends live there so I sample some of it. Some of the homes - higher rent, probably - are located on the canals. I think the basic lot rent is around $650, but it varies.

Nice park. People are friendly. They have alot of activities for the residents.If your from out of state: mostly in summer, gators are present in canal areas. Assume snakes are present in every body of water at all times.

Management is not to be trusted. Get even the minor statements in writing.Have copies of everything, but dont expect management to honor their statements.The residents are very nice.

I visit my grandma every summer for a week and every time she takes me and my cousin to the pool the people a noisy, drunk, and usually have bathing suits that r too little. I used to like coming here. Now people r rude and dont care about others. The people that take care of this place r really not doing a very good job. We arent allowed to drink the water, and I wont cause it smells really bad. Some of the adults scare us and just look at us like we shouldnt be here. The curse and smoke anywhere and around anyone. They think kids have no manners, but just watch the ones who r drunk at the small pool.

Its another retirement park. It is what you want to have or not. Its what you put into it. Opportunity to make friends and activities. Or you can just sit in your trsiler watch tv. Its up to you.

Pot holes not repaired. Weeds growing in gutters which is in violation of rules, gates open during the day with theft being a problem especially at night, mobile homes in disrepair from last years hurricane, foul smell from water treatment plant. The mowing team does a horrible job missing lots of grass or just never attempting to mow patches at all and digging up the grass in big patches. It makes your place look bad when others dont try to keep their places up. We were told by the realtor the water bill was included in our lease but it is not.

Lived here 8.5 years. Gets more expensive every year, service goes down every year. We now pay for horrible water. Used to be everything was included. No more. All we have included now is a poor quality lawn service. Look around before you buy.

Very people friendly

Anything but a yacht club. Very old run down properties not being kept up. Concrete company across hwy. very noisy and starts at 4 am with loud noise. Peoples properties need to be cleaned up or made to.

The residents here are absolutely friendly and the place is beautiful . it is centrally located in Lake County 15 minutes from downtown Mt. Dora and 15 minutes from downtown Leesburg

So much to do... You could never be bored here.

Alot of double-talk from park management. Quality of residents has declined with management only concerned with their own mobile home tenants. Snow-birds leaving the park and being replaced with low-income dead beats who are not retired.

In-laws just bought a retirement home there. Quiet neighborhood with a lot of activities.

Place sucks.No body cares about rules the park sets, even the Corp. Office.Couldnt wait to move from out.

They prefer to put in new homes than fix the roads.. they are constantly having broken piped..so your water gets shut off.. cant hear alarm systems. And most of all when you have a complaint you have to put it in writing. Still the problem doesnt get addressed or fixed.. also people who dnt live here always ride peoples rear ends just to get thru the gate before the pole comes down. They r always fixing the pole and the pole has been broken for a while now. They should have a guard at the gate in the building to stop people from coming in the park that either dont belong here,or visiting. Also dnt buy any homes in here.. Rent keeps going up and if u complain coporate doesnt do anything.. We have a very bad neighbor who plays loud music.. Cops say its on private property so they cant do nothing, park people say to call the cops..How many more times with 4 years complaints not just by us but other neighbors and still nothing gets done.. Look somewhere else to buy..I wish I did.. now Im stuck

Lot rent keeps going up, employees are getting ruder to residents.
