Nice people good fishing in the old vfw pond they the city of Lawrence has donea lot of work to it . just makes it more enjoying . to visit .

If you go down the trails leading from the park itself theres some amazing places. the park, is also fantastic as it has multiple recreation areas and a very upliftng atmosphere. A solid pick if you want to explore lawrence and get outside the town a little.

Great place to take the grandkids, walked the trails, and watched the River roll by . A place that is good for leaving your worries behind and relaxing for a while.

Wonderful park next to Kaw River. At the right time of the year you can watch the KU Rowing teams practicing their sport. Even on a cloudy, cold day in winter, there is wild life to enjoy watching.

I really like this place I get a peace of mind here.

I use this trail to exercise on my bicycle. Wide paved path that runs along the river mostly shaded and for the most part level. Good for working up to distance. Up to 12 miles now

Beautiful place to sit near the water. Usually pretty busy with people walking their dogs or riding their bicycles. No electricity or anywhere to plug in. Also no public restrooms.

Its a beautiful spot to sit in a swing next to theriver andrelax and enjoy the surroundings of nature.

Super cool, kind of secret park, Ive lived in Lawrence almost 5 years now and didnt know about this place. But it follows along the river is mostly in the shade and has plenty of benches.

Nice riverside park with a nice passed trail. No rest rooms and one shelter house. Good place for short outings, walking the dog or enjoying pleasant weather.

Great place to getaway

Scenic and shady walk down the river and through historic downtown and west side neighborhoods. Instead of heading to Watson Park, go by the boat house to watch geese and swing on the shady swing set. Places to sit, and fishing.

Burcham park is a nice place. You can set up blankets on the 4th of July and watch the fireworks. The river there is really pretty. You should definitely go to Burcham park.
