A beautiful small park with an amazing view you need to see for yourself

Awesome mtb trails, loads of gnarly rocks and jank, make sure to only ride when its dry. Great view from the outlook pavilion.

The view is not very much overwhelming. Good for one time visit. Not very crowded

I like this park do to its quietness and allows the kids to runaround and get some fresh air.

The Hawk trail on the side of the picnic area is about 5.8 miles and is great fun. We spotted a deer and a snake.

Expansive park with activities for all levels of engagement: trails, smooth paths, playground (+ elder equipment), picnic areas, water fountain + restrooms. We love to take nature walks, ride bikes on the paths, and play at the park. The walk to Sanders Mound is our favorite, theres a bench perched on top of the hill with great views or you can keep walking and go down to the water.

Lots of mountain bike trails in the area. Great view of Clinton Lake from the park and from Sanders Mound if you take a quarter mile hike. There are some very interesting bee nests at the Overlook parking area as well.

Great playground for kids of all ages. Easy access to nature trails. Short walk to an amazing view of the lake. Restrooms available, which is always a plus.

This is a very clean, well maintained paved walking/biking trail. Its a pretty area with a peaceful atmosphere.

You can come to this place for a picnic day and your kids will enjoy it besides the adults play volley ball or cook some hamburgers on the grill out of the asphalt jungle. ....pets friendly family atmosphere.

Beautiful park, very clean from what Ive seen.

The Overlook Park is one of my favorite short hikes at Clinton Lake. Do watch out for the snakes if you decide to go gallivanting through the grass on your way down the hill. If youre good on a bicycle I really recommend hitting the hill straight away, Strava says I hit 40mph on the way down; but I hope you got good brakes. Or youll end up in the marsh, which Im sure isnt a bad place to crash but I dont recommend that at 40mph.

Overlook park has a great few of the lake as well as many other amenities. Well maintained and a very popular destination.

It was a little flooded when I was there but still beautiful people kayaking and hiking. The recently redid the roads got tar all over my kickstand so use caution parking on a motorcycle

Great place to sit and watch the lake, or take a stroll if you want. Very peaceful. Well kept area with picnic tables nearby.

Clinton Lake Park is a marvelous multi use park and lake. There a great view from the overlook area, and its a marvelous picnic area as well. This is in the federal (corps) area, so theres no entry fee. The state oak area does require a day or annual pass.

The overlook park is well worth the stop. Plan on going for a short walk. Its a beautiful hike up to the hill to look out over the lake.

Its a park... Its in Lawrence... What else do you want?! I love riding my bike out there. The trail goes all the way to the movie theatre on Iowa if you feel like hitting a movie after walking around the lake
