I just went to this park this morning. It has a lot of desert landscaping but some trees. It looks like it was built on a wash so there are a few places you shouldn’t go when it rains. Quite a few picnic areas. They have four dog areas but not a lot of trees in the dog area. The park is bigger than it looks. Overall, a very nice park and great for walking the dogs.

A family friendly park for everyone. Nice pathways for walking. Or riding your bikes through out the parkI think theres 1 or 2 playgrounds. BBQ pits cement table seating . Will be returning for riding our tandum bike.

Nice and clean place for a run or walk.

We had a lot of fun as it was very big. You can play any sports or jog. It has hills and an amazing feel to relax. Downside don’t get caught in that park when it rains as most of it doubles down as a runoff water catchment area.

This is a very good spot to take a walk and disconnect for a while. Community is fine, very clean, a few tables for a quick snack, and the water part for the little ones too.

It has water pad for kids, two playgrounds with shadows, picnic areas and BBQ, green grass to play with your kids and really nice space for your best pals

Its a great big park with lots of things to do

This place is a very nice area to take a stroll in, roller blade, play sports, walk your dog, go on a jog, etc. Like any other park, they keep things very good. Despite the playgrounds being shut down due to Covid-19, it is still enjoyable for many people, even me!

My first time coming to this park its actually a fabulous little Park in the heart of the city I totally recommend stopping by here and cooling off

My friend and I brought our 7 year olds to play. The waterpad was not open due to covid. Many homeless around but they did not bother us. There was trash on the ground and not many shady areas for parents to sit and watch their kids.

Beautiful well kept and safe, nice walking trails playground and dog park

The park is looking really good and for about a month know there really moving on the burned up play ground remodeling. Yes there really cleaning up the area and the dog area is so green around this time . The maintenance worker there are really working hard to keep the graffiti off the wall and tables . If you ask them about something in the park they are fast to respond. Thank you and keep up the hard work.

Not too much shade there, a lot of homeless though which I understand why some people wouldn’t feel safe ...

No lights inside the actual dog park area. So it’s completely dark in the gated areas for the dogs after dark. Hardly any seating, there’s 2 or 3 concrete benches inside each of the three gated dog area’s. Definitely bring your own seating with you! The kids play area has been set on fire and gated off. It’s been like this since the first time Iv come here 2years ago. Lots of bums hang out in the covered bench area where the BBQ’s are after dark you can find them asleep on the benches. To many dark areas in this park! Bad lighting all the way around!

Dog park with three areas, divided into small and large dog areas. Most people are respectful of the sizes although sometimes the big dog area is in the smaller park, making it hard for larger dogs to get to run around. All three areas do have some limited shade, benches, and water fountains for dogs and people.

Bathrooms were disgusting no toilet paper bring your own

Great park! It is very big! Has a dog park and a couple of playgrounds. Nice trails to jog or ride a bike. Never too busy. I go here alot its a nice park with a good vibe.

Well it was a favorite of mine because I used to go there with X and we had a good time always and to see the children play in that water and make me plan a water bring out your real childhood dreams and then theres the exercise section where you can play at 2 and its awesome with someone fun

This place is taken over by homeless people. The High school next to it even had to make a email saying how dangerous it is

This park was pretty cool considering the fact that it had a water section for kids to stay cool and play in the water. There is a play section that is out of order, some of the slides were burned... But there was another play section for the kids to play on and that one was shaded. There is seating. As for the bathroom there are gigantic cockroaches coming from the sewers which scared and disgusted the heck out of me. Youll be good at this park if you dont plan on using the bathroom or if you dont care about the giant roaches.

The spring valley community park is such a wonderful place to go during the summer time to beat the heat and its a great place to bring your dogs to a fence up area where dogs can run around a play with other dogs.

There was one playground area that had been burned to the point of melted slides and climbing structures. It was fenced off. The park is nice otherwise.

Its cool but in the water area for the kids theres homeless people taking showers so make sure to be careful

So far this is the only place I can find that has the water park feature already turned on. other places havent turned on the water yet that kind of sucks because its a lot closer to my home but this one is way worth the drive.My kids love it I cant get enough I love the water feature.

This is a nice park with lots of potential but which is suffering from homeless blight. There are several homeless people who are obviously utilizing the park on a frequent basis.While my heart goes out to the many homeless in our community, but our parks must be managed and maintained for ALL users.Today I was not able to let my two-year old use the play set because a homeless person was sleeping on the kids slide. Just one example, I am sure of the impact that temporary residency results. Also should mention there was obvious evidence of vandalism at the park which indicates a need for increased security.

Sadly the bigger playground had fire damage and was fenced off. High school kids playing on the little kids playground made it so my 4 year old couldnt go on it.

The place has been fenced off for a long time now. Suvks to not have the play area for the kids.Always dirty, needs serious power washing.

Love taking my dog to this park and my grandson to the toddlers area to play. It gets pretty over run by the high school kids after about 11:30am but they pretty much just keep to themselves., The play area for the older kids unfortunately has been destroyed by vandals(has been sitting like this for a while now)Other than that. ..its a really nice, clean, quiet park(during the day at least...I dont go there at night)

This place lace is clean with large pavillions. Dogs are able to play and there are benches to sit while you wait.

Excellent place for dogs. Not too busy in the early morning. Park is kept clean, and the people who come to the dog park actually clean up after their dogs. My dogs love this park. They have a big dog area and smaller dog area.

Great dog park to have your furry friend play with friends. Always people around to talk to. There is not a lot of shade though.

There are a lot of kids in the area and its the newest of parks in the area. However, they let the homeless take over and the big playground hasnt been repaired and has been closed for 2 yrs.

Nice smaller park. Dog park too.kept up pretty well. Some areas have lots of pigeon poo so a tablecoth is helpful. Big grills and nice sitting areas. Kid play area has open water features for the kids. Peaceful park and walking trail.

Lot of nice people and pets here but everyone doesnt clean up after their pet.

The park itself is big and nice, but at the moment, one of the playgrounds is closed off due to what seems to be a fire (black burn marks). I have also noticed that there are more and more homeless people setting up camp here. Now, this doesnt bother me toooo much but the thing is, recently, there are a couple of them who walk around drugged out or drunk and approach people. We had one lady come up to us one day around 8:00pm speaking all kinds of nonsense, we were nice to her but did not engage much. She then sat down in the bench next to us and started talking aggressively at us and saying rude things until we told her to leave us alone. This is not the first time I hear of this happening either. While it might be something some adults are able to deal with properly, the park is frequented by many young kids and teenagers who are not prepared for a situation like that.The dog park section is small but is nice. Just watch out for your pups. There is a lady who brings her gang of like nine chihuahua and when I tell you these little things are vicious, lol. I mean it. As we were walking by with out dogs, one of our pitties went up to sniff the gate and these little monsters all ran up barking abd snipping. One actually bit his nose and drew blood. Luckily, Bear isnt one to react much so he didnt even do so much as bark or growl. He just jumped back and looked at us like What did I do?.... I have little dogs too and I dont allow them to do that without getting scolded. You wouldnt be ok with a large dog acting that way so please dont let your small ones do that either.

Stopped here with my puppy when the rain had almost stopped.There were no other dogs in any section of dog park. We went to a big beautiful grassy area between 2 not so grassy of areas. It was for dogs under 35lbs. My 11mo. old puppy was in heaven running as fast as he could back & fourth the length of that particular dog area. He has never been to a place where he could stretch out & actually run as fast as he could without having to run in circles. I lost track of time watching him having so much fun. After an hour, other people started coming with their dogs. This did not hinder my dog from continuing to run. A couple of other dogs joined him running. Then, they all stopped to get to know each other for a few minutes, & went back to running.We will go back to this dog park every chance we get.

This park is not well maintained. I was walking on one of the paved walk/run paths when I fell. There was a 2.5 inch unmarked paving slab edge that my foot caught. It wasnt easily visible as the concrete filling between slabs creates the illusion of an even surface until it is encountered. I caught my foot on it, and Flew a few feet landing hard on the concrete on my right shoulder. I tore my rotator cuff nearly in half and displaced the bicep muscle and tendon. I had to have surgery and will be off work for,some time. I reported the issue 3 times with no response until I called Risk management. They say since no one else reported the,dangerous issue BEFORE I fell...clark County is. NOT LIABLE for,my medical I bills or wage loss..Beware!!

Most of the equipment is broken the park is dirty and there is a lot of homeless people living there. I took my two-year-old son there we will not be back.

Nice park with a covered playground. The dog parks were very nice. The larger playground had recently caught on fire but my kids still enjoyed playing at the park.

The playground equipment is in complete disrepair and unacceptable for the entire community!

Clean and nice

I nearly always spotted a homeless person sleeping on the covered picnic area benches and using the park as their home. I have to agree with many of the critical reviews that the park appears to be going downhill due to unsanitary facilities and lack of enforcement. Really a shame to see a beautiful park rundown by the homeless or immature kids who do not pick up after themselves. I hope the Spring Valley community finds a solution to preserve this park for generations to come.

We went to a party but it was all bad. The area we chose had been rented by someone else so we had to move the entire party to a different area of the park. Then the sprinklers were not in operation so no one got wet. Its a water park though. Right now its just a park.

Horrible place. Used to be great. Now deserted, took my grandkids for the splash pad. There were homeless sleeping on and under the little kids playground. Didn’t budge for children. Literally no kids there.what a shame. Been taking my grandkids there for years. Never again. This is appalling!!!!

This park has become disguisting. It is not safe. There is literally a homeless person or to sleeping at almost every picnic table. The water park is filthy and the homeless men bathe in it. The bathrooms are scary to go in because there are homeless sleeping in them. Someone needs to sweep this park and sanitize the playgrounds and waterpads. It used to be a beautiful park for the kids to play and the dogs to run. Now its turned ugly and is not safe place for the kids.

It is a very large park. However, there is only one shaded area for large gatherings. It is under going some repairs in the playground area. Hopefully it will get some upgrades.

Nice little dog park with areas for two sizes of dogs

Best park i have ever been to. Very unique aparatuses and water park. But water does sometimes get too cold that you shiver. But once you get used to it, you enjoy it.

Doesnt look like have a proper maintenance. One of the kids play area was ( looks burnt down) close for more than year. Still the same.

Nice size park that has working swings, water feature to play in, dog park, picnic areas and grills. Parking lot a little on the small side for such a nice size park.

Im 66yrs young I try to go everyday I walk for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs I stop every 30mins and drink at lest 8oz of water its important that you do . I love watching the dogs at the dog park and theres nothing like the laughter of the kids on the playgrounds. Its keep clean and people are so friendly and being from the South I love that

Great for walking dogs + has fenced in dog park. Jungle jims for the kids. BBQ areas. Water park for kids. Only bad part lots of trash along the walking paths and in the wash, homeless people sleeping, landscape not always maintained.

Could use some tlc with the play equipment. But my grands had a great time in the water.

Spring valley has a really nice dog park. My puppy really enjoyed how big the fenced grassy area was for dogs 35lbs & under.

Great park for walking. Lots of sidewalks that wind around. They have restrooms and enclosed dog parks. Clean, and well lit. Lots of picnic benches and bbq grills spread around. Good playground areas.
