The path around the mountain is fine gravel. It is right at 2.2 miles for one lap. It is hilly but not difficult, and there is a downhill for every uphill stroll. Plan on about 40 minutes for a walking loop.The path to the top is a difficult 25 minute climb, no tools required.The park has very large grassy areas for picnics and fun. Several pavilions that seat 99 people are for rent from Parks & Rec.

First of all the bathrooms are very clean thats important for all of us. Am I right? Anyway this is a Beautiful park very well kept and clean. I loved my visit. There are awesome walking trails and climbing trails to explore. The playground equipment is first rate. I like that all of the playgrounds have an age chart like a playgrounds for 2-5yr olds etc. That was helpful. They even have an equestrian area to exercise and ride your horses. I am ALWAYS going to her when I visit Vegas.

Only made it up to the top of the walking path by the fence where you can see the 215. Its a good little incline walk. Next time, hopefully when Im in better shape, I can walk the whole distance around the mountain.

I hike this trail every morning. You get a great view of North Las Vegas and the strip. Very easy hike to the top and lots of trails to get to the top.

This is a great place to get out and walk a fairly level walk, great view of Las Vegas. Make sure you bring water and stay hydrated! Bath rooms are nice. There is parking on every side of the park. The walk around the mtn is all most all in the sun, so wear sun screen. Dont get burned. It took us 1.5 hours to complete walk the whole trail.

I love this park, we always catch someone exercising their horses, many age appropriate play areas, a whole mountain for walking and climbing, basketball, open areas for football... A one stop shop for kids! 1 star taken because this last time it was filthy but its usually clean

Such a beautiful park. Runs the length of lone mountain. The trail around the mountain is beautiful and relaxing as well. Well kept park thats for sure. Grass is super green and plush.

I go there at least 3 times a week.nice little over 2 mile walk around Mnt.plus you can do some great climbing so thats my go to for an hr. in my day.

Used to scramble all over this mound when I was younger living in Vegas, before it was developed. If you look around, theres all sorts of fossilized sea creatures. Pretty fascinating stuff to think about the shallow inland sea that this was home to a long time ago and the geologic processes that created the mountain in the first place...

This is an awesome park. Has tennis, pickle ball, basketball, horses a kids play area and more. There is a trail to walk around Lone Mountain (about 2 miles). There is also a couple trails to walk to the top of the mountain. One of my favorite Las Vegas parks.

Great hike here. Listed on All Trails app as easy...the trail around the mountain was easy, but the climb to the top not quite as easy. Lots of kids and pets, so probably just on the advanced side of easy. Great views of surrounding area and the strip. A good 3 mile walk!

What I love about Las Vegas are the many parks, but Lone Mountain is my absolute favorite. I come twice a week and walk the trail around base of mountain or walking path through the park. I get a great workout about 3 miles...

Really nice park with equestrian facilities. Dont try to hike the trail uphill unless you are with someone else. There are several places of loose footing and it can be tricky.

Lone Mountain Park is a wonderful, simple place to have a nice evening with your family. There are many picnic benches and barbeque grills. The playground is pretty fun and sheltered.There are restrooms and drinking fountains, a lot of grass area for playing soccer, basketball courts, and more. There are sand boxes set aside for playing that European game with the balls that you roll in the sand.It is overall a very good park for a family with kids. There are usually very friendly people to talk to as well at this park. It is a comfortable, safe-feeling place to pass some time.

The disc golf course is very well manicured. Bermuda grass in the fairways makes it feel super fancy. Short course with fun pin locations. Didnt get to throw as much as I wanted to on this trip but glad we picked this park to play.

Well spread out park with multiple playgrounds, grassy areas, walking paths and trails. Plenty of courts of every kind. They even have an educational play area and an obstacle course.

Great location and views. Take the trip to the top of Lone Mountain for a 360 view of Las Vegas. The walking path around the base of the mountain is in great shape and worth a try. It also has basketball, Bocci, tennis, and other family things to do.

A great place to take the family and escape the city. Beautiful scenery, grass and playgrounds for the kids, a few shelters to escape the heat in the summer, beautiful walking paths and a trail that goes to the top of the mountain. Basketball and tennis courts as well as ample parking.

Great walk up the mountain after working horses in round pen

There arent a lot of frills at this park, but Ive really enjoyed what it does have: educational zones for kids to play in, a very nice horse exercise area, plenty of grass for kids and pups, and most importantly Lone Mountain itself. The groomed trail around the mountain is one of my favorite places to run and it seems many people share the feeling.

Very big park with multiple playgrounds, a basketball court and tennis courts. Wide open grassy areas for football or soccer/other games. Big horse area to ride and a mountain trail for hiking. Very beautiful area!

Really nice park with a number of facilities for everyone in the family! Especially enjoyed the perimeter Trail which runs around the base of Lone Mountain. Interested now in climbing part of the mountain on our next trip. Highly recommended!

I go here for the trail and hike up the mountain. Love coming here. Its clean and the trails are a great workout.

I love this park. I come here at least once every weekend. Its always well kept.

This park is awesome. State of the art playground on the north end including a rock climbing wall. Several playground areas and well shaded with many trees. Equestrian area and excellent hiking trail up the mountain. The only downfall is only having one bathroom near the south side of the park. Otherwise it would be 5 stars!

The park is pretty nice. It also has an eclosed horse area if you got one, its located in the far back of park. They also have 2 gated playgrounds one for toddlers and an other for larger kids and 2 open ones and lots of open grass areas. Lone mountain park is one of my favorite parks. I love all the amenities available. There are multiple play structures for children to choose from. There is a lot of grass to play whatever you want on. There are nice paths to walk on. The bathrooms are centrally located. There is also an equestrian section. The walking trails here hook up with the path that goes around Lone Mountain. You can surely find something you can enjoy doing here.Fun fact: this park has gophers. So there are mounds of dirt all over the place, but I saw a little gopher popping its head out one morning, and it was so cute.

The actual park can use some maintenance and upgrades. Dont get me wrong this was a very well thought after and intracate built kids friendly place! I had a good memorable time with my kids which I enjoy showing them New parks throughout the Valley. What sets this particular park from the rest is that there are interactive playground sections, which I have not seeing anything alike anywhere! And Ive taken them to a great variety of different Types of Parks. It gets my five stars because of the layout and the well thought arquitecture design. Not to mention that you can also enjoy a great hike along Lone Mountain Trail! In addition to the much to do Outdoor Fun activities there within a single day. There is a really fun Mountain Bike Trail that wraps around the entire perimeter of the Majestic Mountain. I would say is level moderate but fun even on your own. Just be equipped with a good mountain bike and plenty of water. With that said and done I highly recommend it, Specially which I almost forgotten, a must do Hike to the Top of Lone Mountain itself! A 360 degree view of Las Vegas Valley to remember for a lifetime. Happy Trails folks ️!

Nice area to walk.

This place is so kid friendly. There are trails to hike including up the mountain. Many different memorials plaques and is located in a quite secluded area away from the city. It is well taken care of.

This is a very beautiful park with nice green grass to relax in or to play ball if you are in the mood to exercise. The facilities are nice and well maintained. The views are nice and the mountain gives it a bit of a rural country feel. There is a nice walking area and plenty of space to stretch out, run, play sports or ride a bike. My kids like to come here and have a picnic and then play catch and hit a few balls, then chill in the grass and rest.

This is a great park! But the bathrooms are locked and so are the basketball courts!!!

Absolutely my favorite park in the whole valley. Big and lots to see and do. Good for playing pokemon go. It does close at 10pm, but from what ive seen, nobody is there to stop you, so if you want to do a night jog or walk your dogs, its a safe place. Just bring a flashlight.

There are so many play structures, lots of open fields, gazebos and a beautiful view. Theres also basketball and tennis courts and an equestrian area. You can walk the trails around the park too. It is super windy sometimes but overall an awesome park with something for everyone.

Love the fact theres enough play structures that the park isnt over crowded. I do with the big slides werent blocked off. Its a great place to walk your pup as well. There were quite a few dogs there but since its such a big park they domt bother eachother either.

Nice covered equestrian arena. The grooming hours are kind of weird, 11:00am to 2:00pm. Theres a nice path around lone mountain. I would go there again.

The hiking trail isnt to difficult so its a good thing for the family to do. Has a couple of playgrounds and the grass is a good place to sit and relax.

So much fun! So much to do for children. Theres bathrooms and water fountains. Many places to sit and enjoy the day.
