The gym is very well equipped with everything you need for a full workout. The swimming pool is very well maintained and temperature controlled. They have plenty of gym classes suited for everyone. For those interested in camping and hiking, they have regular trips and gear on rent.Theres an Einsteins on the first floor.

It was unexpectedly disappointing from a large organization like UNLV. I rented an eight person tent and opened it at the campsite only to realize it was damaged. The tent had holes in it and the poles were extremely bent. So much so that my group had to sleep in the car as we were camping at the Tuweep Campground.Upon returning the equipment and explaining UNLV the situation, I was hoping for a positive response. Instead UNLV charged me $400 and tried to intimidate me by mentioning that they would blacklist me and report me to the collection agency. The manager was rude and, to try and put the blame on us, she said the damage was done during transportation. That reason is a bit strange considering that we traveled in an Infiniti QX 80, not on a Horse Cart.Attaching a picture of the car at the campground as proof.

I don’t know how you could not give this place 5 stars ️. It’s 25 bucks a month for a HUGE facility. I’m from NYC and this place would set you back at least 150 or so a month there. You can even use there free private fancy massage chairs!!

Our tuition forces us to pay to go here for so called free visits. Website claims they do testing, but this is a lie. I paid for services I do not recieve. UNLV are thieves and the wellness center is a joke!!!! No one at the desk knows anything about their job. We should not be forced to pay fees for something that we can not or do not use. Website states they do free HIV and STD this is a lie. Im here now and got refused telling me they do not do it.

John McElrath lied to me about my pay as a personal trainer while I worked here. Level 1 trainers vs level 2 trainers make a 3 dollar difference. I started as a level 2 trainer but he said wait after the first month and well increase the pay. So I did, and then he said again, wait until another month and so on. Long story short he certainly lied to me. If you work as a trainer here make sure your pay is right because babysitting (training) can be a hassle.

I am from California and if you live in / visit Las Vegas you should definitely check this place out. I paid $20 (one time fee) + $25 / month. You do NOT have to be a student, but you will need to register to get a Rebel Card. The facilities are top notch and there are plenty of open courts (summertime). The first day I ran 3 full court games immediately after walking in. The locker rooms are well kept and clean, there were plenty of showers and open lockers available. Bring your own soap/shampoo as none is provided. The parking garage is right next to the building. Be sure to buy a weekly permit or daily, parking is free Fri after 1pm and Weekends. Amazing. In the bay area you would expect to pay 3-5x more for comparable facilities. A must join.

I am a constant goer of the facility, but I was disappointed on how I was treated at the Student Wellness/FAST Center. I walked in, seeing nobody at the front desk. I politely asked if anybody was present to help me with an ankle injury that I suffered on the basketball court. I sat in a chair waiting for assistance. When help came (patiently waiting for 5 minutes), I explained my injury and I was basically told off by the receptionist at the time. I was told that an appointment was needed to receive any treatment or evaluation. Long story short, ALL I WANTED was an ice pack, or just quick inspection to see if my ankle was sprained/broken because it was completely swollen and bent in an abnormal way at the time. Once I got the news of not being able to receive any help. I drove home with adrenaline and anxiety still pumping and luckily made it safe. I dont know how I did it, all I know is that I will never do it again. Finally, I went to the hospital. Results came back as a Grade 2 Inversion ATFL and Grade 1 Talus sprain. In conclusion, I expected better from the staff.

Not sure about the other services offered but the gym itself is top notch. Lots of equipment usually not too crowded and weights are regularly re racked. The only thing missing is a sauna, but if you want to play basketball, run track or lift this is the place to do it. Best gym for the best price in town.

UNLVs gym is quietly probably one of the best facilities in the city. There are multiple basketball courts, a pool, walls for racquetball, rooms for dancing or yoga, gym equipment, sports equipment available for rent, and to top it all off, there is a track on the top.Sometimes it can get busy and there is a limited number of gym equipment available. Sometimes all of the courts are full and there are no basketballs left to rent. Sometimes, the place is near empty. But most of the time, it isnt too packed.Im not sure what the policy is for members who are not students to rent the equipment, but it shouldnt be that bad as students just need to provide their Rebel ID for them to quickly scan your items in and out.I also hear that there are massage chairs here for free but you might need to reserve them. Havent tried them out yet but I definitely will. When I went into the Rebel Wellness Zone, they were giving away pretty useful things like chapstick and rubbers.Too bad this place isnt 24 hours like most gyms, but they offer so many amenities that its probably too much to maintain. Mostly students run the whole building, which isnt bad. There is also an Einsteins Bagel located on the bottom and a few booths where you can eat, rest a little, or study. There are sofas on the first floor by one of the entrances. One of my main cons of this place is the homeless people who decide to sleep on these couches or be there for a long time. I know its a public university, but some people pay to be here. Students do too because its already included in the tuition. Its $25 per month for non students, which may be worth it if you want to use all of the amenities, considering they are around the same price for gyms that offer less. Oh, and there is no contract for non students either! If you dont want to pay monthly and only need a one time visit, I believe its $10 or $15.

Pretty nice gym with a lot of services that arent used because most people are unaware such as..Free massage chairs on the second floor at the Wellness Zone. You might need an appointment. I think they had free chapsticks and condoms last time I went.Pharmacy where you can buy allergy medicine and pretty much anything including Plan B pills and no tax.Health Centre where you can get check ups / vaccines. Not to mention a very nice facility where you can lift weights, shoot hoops, and also run around a track. There is also a pool and some rooms for racquetball and I know they host stuff like fifa tournaments sometimes too.

This is an amazing four-story gym! The first floor is cardio, locker rooms, swimming pools, and multipurpose courts (basketball, soccer, and racquetball). The second floor is weights, along with a relaxation room that has massage chairs. There are also three rooms for all sorts of fun classes. The third floor is a giant court split into multiple courts for basketball and volleyball. The fourth floor is a track that is 1/8 of a mile. Its $25 for a membership, but student who have 3.5 credits or more get in for free. There is free towel service and rental equipment. The showers actually have curtains, along with a changing area. The only downside is that there arent many lockers to use unless you pay to rent one for a certain time period. Overall, this is a fun gym for everyone to enjoy.

The facility is fine but some of the staff is apparently incompetent. A friend and I decided to visit last week to play some racquetball, but wanted to do some other exercise first, so we reserved a court for 7:30 after arriving around 6:15 so we could do other exercises prior to playing. At 7:30, we checked in with an employee to borrow equipment and subsequently began playing after we were told we could take either of the two courts. Not even 15 minutes after starting, we were kicked off the court by another group that had a 7:30 reservation for the court we were on. We were told nothing about this, and one of the supervisors told us that our reservation had apparently been from 7:00-7:30. We were told nothing about the other group that had a reservation, so in the end, wed made a reservation just to play for about 10 minutes. To make an analogy, it would be like going to a restaurant with a reservation, sitting down, placing an order, and having the staff tell you that someone had made a prior reservation for the table you were sitting at and being forced to leave. I still plan to come in the future, but I would be wary of trusting the staff with much after the experience I had.

TOO HYPED UP JEEEZZ. Dont hold your breath on this folks. Its a uniformed gym meaning you have to wear the gym attire that is acceptable. So ladies, ya cant wear hot n sexy yoga strappy bras. No midriffs, not 20% of your skin showing, nada. Totally sucks. Not enough weight machines. Theres only 2 floor levels of workout space. The rest of gym is sports rooms for people to play ball (basketball, tennis etc). Started missing the local gym I go to regularly. This was my first time here and Im glad I came. Now Im over it.

Excellent facilities with many dedicated floors for cardio, weight lifting, basketball, track, racquetball, and swimming. Smells like body odor and cleaning chemicals, like any typical gym, but thats to be expected. The pharmacy at the wellness center has advil and feminine products if needed, and the second floor wellness zone has contraceptives for those who need it.

This college is a joke. you get a stupid little id for 20$ if you loose it its 20$ to get a new one. no exceptions. i parked my motorcycle in the diagonal white lines next to 3 other motorcycles at 9pm and came out to find a ticket on my bike as well as the other 3. 65$ ticket. i called student judicial to dispute the ticket and im a environmentally friendly commuter on a motorcycle for crying out loud. they said nothing i can do and if i dont pay they will tow my bike if they see it on campus evin if its parked in a space. so anyway i lost my id today and called the rec center to check if they have it in there lost and found. the girl at the front desk said she cant tell me if they have my id in lost and found. she said they cant give any information over the phone.
