Had the greatest experience here! Andrew went above and beyond to help our group and was super chill to hangout with. This gym had everything you could ask for, and it was one of the lowest priced gyms I’ve been to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

First time climbing here. My orientation took less than 10 minutes. Was told would take closer to half an hour on phone. Also told on phone that during pandemic, certain walls are closed for what staff said was self-cleaning -- I guess they close off some climbs so the virus can naturally die off, but when I was there, none of the walls were closed & there was no indication (like signage) that the gym was disinfecting the climbing holds. This is my reason for 3 stars. Why was I told one thing but didnt see it happening at all?

Super laid back, challenging walls and friendly staff. Gym is slightly dated, the atmosphere of the gym makes up for it immediately. Great place to hang out and by far the best deal in town.

Not a bad place in terms of the climbing options. But no A/C (hot hot hot!) and fans blowing indoors during covid with limited sanitation and a small building = not super safe. They were short staffed the day we went so it took a while to get on boarded but the staff are nice. It’s smaller than how it appears in photos. Tourists using groupons that you’ll have to avoid a bit during certain times.

My son and I had never been before. Five men behind the counter not paying attention to customers. The one that helped us spoke so fast then walked away. Nothing was explained to us, luckily a nice couple helped us. We did not know what to do and staff was extremely inattentive. We were so frustrated that we left after 10 minutes. I live extremely far from the location.

My first time climbing. This place was amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly, explaining all safety info and tips patiently and monitoring our first couple climbs to make sure we werent doing anything unsafe.Huge variety of climbing options, not knowing much about it I cant speak from any place of experience, but there were lots of different options and varying difficulties.Had a blast and by the time I left my forarms were sore that I could barely grip my steering wheel, felt great. It is also very family friendly, I saw several kids ranging from 3 to 14 or so climbing, next time Im bringing my 4 year old, shes gonna love it.It was a little difficult to find, follow your GPS, then when you turn into the business complex go straight to the back past the loading bays, by the fence.

Glad to have a place to climb while on a work trip, but not super impressed by this gym. They tape routes, which is mega confusing in the bouldering area and probably my biggest knock (move to colored holds!). Staff was nice enough--but a bunch of young guys having a good time, not exactly focusing their energy on customer service.

Really chill spot to climb. I walked in and old school Metallica was playing so right away I was enjoying myself. I am only just getting into bouldering so the majority of the routes were beyond my level of ability but there were a lot of routes even though the bouldering wall isnt super huge. The routes that I could climb were fun and challenging. I feel like it is more of a top-roping gym but I was solo so just bouldering, however I was wishing I had brought a partner and my harness to make it more worthwhile. The drop in fee was a little on the expensive side. One of the staff, Dave was super friendly and gave me some pointers and conversation which I appreciated because sometimes being an outsider at a new gym can be an isolating experience. The location is out of the way, so I was hoping there would be a shower there but there is not. Overall good times, I would recommend checking it out if you have wheels and even better if you have friends to go with.

Been going to NCC for a little over two years now. It has a nice laid back feel to it. The employees are always helpful and friendly. If you are serious about climbing, its a great place to go, and if you want to do it just for fun, its an easy place to try it out. Saw some of the older posts - the boulder is finished, there are plenty of challenging routes for advanced climbers, (you can hear them struggling) and easier ones for beginners. I see the owners changing the routes all the time to switch things up.

Its really fun and plenty of Rock climbing path options its just not as independent as youd think it is to climb. You have to have a parnter to do pretty much every path so you have to be very cooperative with your partner. That wasnt a problem for me but it may be for others . It was plenty fun and a nice challenge overall and the pricing was great! We found a Groupon for two and saved like $30 dollars so always look for deals.

Solid routes. Good vibes. Great staff. They desperately need to update their holds. Some of them are really greasy and just need to be tossed out/cleaned. Also should color corrdinate their holds... makes climbing routes very confusing at times when looking for the next peice of tape. I recommend this place but there are definitely better gyms around.

I took my kids here about 6-7 months ago. They loved it. My youngest (6) was afraid to go up alone, and the employee helped him all the way to the top, even climbing in his sandals. My son enjoyed himself all because of that! Thank you! We also enjoyed the dogs, they were a hoot! What were their names again, we forget!

Poor route setting. Setters seem to all be newer, strong climbers ( I talked to one, hes been climbing for only a few months but climbs 5.12)- lots of dynos and circus tricks at the higher grades, jug hauls on the easier stuff. Greasy dirty holds, lots of spinners and old draws on the lead wall. Great prices though! Maybe okay for beginners looking to check out the sport.

I visited the place hoping to make a reservation for my sons birthday party and wanted to see if the place would accommodate 50+ guests like I was told when I called. I was impressed walking in but that was it. I couldnt find anybody to help me and it wasnt packed with people at all...maybe 2 or 3 climbers so, I decided to walk myself around the place and gave myself a tour. I think I found the party room and if it was the party room, I was NOT impressed at all. I finally find someone at the front counter and expressed to her my interest in booking a party. She was NO help at all and definitely looked like she was NOT interested or hated her job. She just pointed and said towards the back is the party room. Yeah, my son and I sorta stood there looking like idiots. Uh...ok...my son and I just walked straight out. Thank goodness I came instead of booking over the phone wasting a nonrefundable $50.00.

The auto belays are gone for 3 weeks now, and the new bouldering wall they have been working on for years is still a blank wall. Also, they almost never put on new routes, or probably twice a year if that, I would say Red rock climbing center on Charleston blvd seems like a better option now, with 5 auto belay stations, tons of bouldering options, and new routes pretty much every week. I do like the climbing routes and the movement here, but the options are very limited, especially when you dont have a belayer with you.

This climbing gym has the means for training hard and that is what a gym is for. If you want additional training, silk classes, massage, free core workout classes, slack line fun that is set up regularly; and basically the focus is on the fun of the rock climbers lifestyle. All gyms have strict standards regarding safety and these vary and it is similar here. The great thing at NCC is that the focus is really on enjoying your visit. Other gyms are very intimidating to beginners (such as touchstone gyms) with less focus on having a good time and they forget the balance and the basic reason why we are out to visit a climbing gym. We go because we need a place to go have fun. At NCC, once you have acquired the necessary skill set, you get to have fun. That is what it is all about. Lisa and Ian work very hard behind the scenes to make the experience not only safe and an awesome climbing workout, but they also make it fun!. And after a hard day at work, I really appreciate just zoning out and chilling and getting a good workout and listening to good music etc... It works for me.
