First time there and i loved it, food was great, me and my girlfriend won big time. I won $300 and girlfriend won $650 both did $3 bets with just a $20 bill, and just like that we won and stopped playing. Great place to watch games too. Great experience there overall
Positive: Nothing Negative: Everything, not worth the price
Review for the pool area.Pool is in a beautiful setting. The main pool is 3 1/2 feet. The kids pool 1 ft. Jacuzzi area is closed. Kids pool is cool to lounge and sit and still look fabulous, as long as no kids are there. Plentiful lounge chairs-free. Daybeds and cabanas and some seating areas require reservation. Reservations can be made same day. BTW, cabana is self-serve so forget about service. Cabanas are well equipped.Full bar, drinks are costly for this particular hotel and are considered - less potent.
Quite a fun, themed place. Off the Strip a mile and change, but just as high-quality as one of the bigger venues. Ive been 3 times; their poker facilities and staff are excellent. Shout-out to Barb and Ryan for hosting WTP and our brethren leagues in prior years. Looking forward to going again. Nice sports book, too. A professional setup. Highly recommend-
Very nice hotel. Its huge inside. Had just about everything inside, that you wouldnt have to leave at all.(thats the whole point). Great restaurants, gift shops, movie theater, bowling and plenty off games to play. Trust me you wont be disappointed staying here. We planned to return in December 2020.
I like this casino as its a bit off the strip. It pays out on slots more often and keeps up with the latest slots. Before covid, it had a fantastic buffet. They also have a bowling alley and movie theater s. I always stop there when Im in Las Vegas.
Nice hotel outside the strip. Good casino to gamble. Has a real good food court. The buffet is delicious lots of variety. Has a arcade and movie theater and also a day care so the parents could go gamble!! Highly recommended.
Stopped off here while in Vegas because I like playing older slot machines. The Orleans did not disappoint. Most casinos on the strip have only a few older machines to play if they have any at all. My husband and I played here a few hours and didnt leave broke. We will swing by here again next time we are in town. The staff were super friendly and the drink waitress came around again and again (this is also a plus compared to other places). Thanks to The Orleans for a memorable experience.
Wy wife and I have really enjoyed The Orleans for the past 10 years or so. Nothing fancy, but definitely nothing over priced. Pool is great, drink service has always been very good. Close enough to the strip (one mile) but never charged for parking. Easy in and out even with the Covid restrictions. Rooms are clean, modern but definitely not a suite... but we usually are in our room maybe 1 to 2 waking hours, so we do not need anything fancy. If we were going to vacation in our room the entire time I might look at another resort. As an added bonus their bowling alley is very convenient as well as the movie theater.
The Orleans has been a Vegas locals spot for a few decades and continues to be one of the best spots for many things, the cafe has some Wonderful options, from original Las Vegas specials to some bomb Chinese food they have some great options. The casino floor has never really been to kind to me, while they have many machines and slots to pique your interest, not many of them pay out very often, the last time I hit a jackpot here was when Oscar De La Hoya last fought.Big Als oyster bar is a great place to check out, they some many traditional louisiana favorites. They have a big bowling alley as well as an arcade and movie theater, that are open as of Dec, 3rd.Overall its a nice little locals spot.
Always a good time, friendly and so helpful workers. The only hotel my family stays at when we come for a visit. Please keep doing what you are doing, thats why we keep coming back and i am always telling friends and families from Cali and Hawaii its the place to be.
Great place to get some unexpected exercise. No close to door parking for hotel guests.1 ice machine per floor. The room was wiped down but not clean clean. Trash on the window ledge. Bathroom door doesnt latch. Lamp worked by plug in only.On the plus side, the beds and pillows were comfy
Very nice place with some amenities and restaurants, but slots dont pay. Tight because of Covid-19 and desire to make more money.
My wife lost her phone early Sunday morning. We called lost and found and the gentleman on the other end was very very rude to my wife when asked if her phone was turned in. He Was not helpful at all. Very disrespectful. It was a bad experience for my wife. We were having a wonderful stay at the Orleans until that particular moment. I hope he is not a reflection of your staff and ownership of your establishment. We as a family will not be staying there anytime in the future.
Not all places to eat were open. I understand. Bailiwick is an excellent place to eat. Mark gave us great service. Will go there again. Didnt win anything. But fun. Got some needed quiet rest..
The most clean place to be and the people are so nice I be looking for complain but I dont have any I give a perfect 5 star
Great restaurants like onodori. Awesome sushi and Chinese food. They also have the great steak house and Prime. Rib loft restaurant that you could enjoy your night away. Friendly employees. They make you feel at home.
Positive: The food Negative: No everything was great
Ive been there numerous times over the years. It is always clean and the staff is friendly. Food at the Bailiwick restaurant was good.
Positive: Its beautiful Negative: To much people smoking cigarettes
Positive: Bar at the pool Negative: Pool hours they close to soon at 5:30
Great Covid safety measures including thermal scans. However our room was old. Pulls falling off drawers & hooks falling off walls.
Upon entering the casino, all guests go through a temperature screening and asked questions if they have had any symptoms that were posted. Even at the slot machines, there were hand wipes. Good for a small casino providing the necessary tools to help prevent the spread of the virus. Good job to the Orleans staff.
I enjoyed my visit Nov -14-15 2020 Cordial check in after hours...very nice room and very quiet and restful ....casino is clean and the food is decent.... one major complaint.....I had ANTS on my dresser and work table....never seen that before on a 3rd floor room......I notified housekeeping before checking out.....they said they would spray.....needless to say...that was rather annoying....they decided to invade my coconut oil jar...lol ...other than that it was pretty nice....liked the in-room checkout with the television ......
Still a great place to play and stay but bring wipes because they cant get to every station between players and be sure to push chairs away as people will sit practically on top of you if theres an empty chair there. Careful of the valet entrance marble flooring as its over polished and way too slippery and the temperature camera would have had a clear shot of the temperature of a falling senior citizen. Ironic that when you need people to help suddenly everyone remembers the 6 foot rule.
If I could rate a ZERO I would! This is absolutely not a resort so why am I getting a resort fee? The room didnt even have a mini fridge. The toilet also kept getting clogged. Absolutely HORRIBLE! And to top it all off I was charged a resort fee AFTER being told when I booked that I would not need to pay any additional charges except for what was charged during booking! ZERO STARS. I wouldnt stay here again even if it was the last hotel in Vegas! My family, friends and I will be staying clear from this overpriced joke of a hotel. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else!
Positive: Everything was fine Negative: No
Positive: Close to family Negative: They would not/could not tell me the total price I was paying.
I had a choice $20 @ Bally or Flamingo, an option i should have chose. But I was trying to stay away from the strip and I didnt think they would charge me resort me, so I paid $36 to stay at the Orleans. The resort fee was almost the price of the room . Check in line was long, especially for a Thursday. You have to show security your room key to go to elevators, that itself should tell you something. The elevator door for the bottom floor opens before it hits the ground all the way.The room was clean and creepy looking. The light for the nightstand was out, the TV randomly cut out before midnight and I had to cut it back on. The housekeeping kept the toilet seat up, but at least to the naked eye it looks clean.Biggest plus was the view I got of Red Rock. And if you gon stay you might as well take advantage of the free valet and just tip em a couple of dollars.Oh yeah and dont forget to sign up for their players card, newbies get a free shirt and some Mardi Gras beads.
Negative: I got a non smoking room, I wanted a smoking one. Two beds, wanted one.
First time here . Great place to play slots and not to crowded. Relaxing place for a evening out.
My boyfriend is a car hauler and we appreciate the 18 wheeler parking and security. The hotel room we had was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day of work delivering cars, picking up cars and me playing the slots on “my” machines, lol. My games took my money but then one of them almost always gave it all back and then some. On one game I hit four different jackpots in under 10 minutes. I was losing my mind I was so excited. I didn’t hit the big one but all four totaled $280 so I was very happy. That’s not a lot to some but the point was the EXCITEMENT of winning four times in a row like that. I’ll never forget it. That feeling is priceless. Thank you Orleans. Can’t wait to come back!
Positive: Check in was fast Negative: Didnâ€t get the bed requested
Not bad if youre on a budget. Places to eat and a clean and very simple room. Kind of dated but it is what it is here. Light above bathroom sink stopped working. Sports book and plenty of slots and tables.
Positive: It has plenty of amenities for the whole family we had a pleasant stay. Negative: Not at all.
Positive: our room was very comfortable. Negative: our tv did not work the Copper Whisk restaurant had very poor service The wait for dinner at TGIFriday was too long
We had a great time. This is a good choice if you dont want all the crowds from the strip. Our room was great. We stayed for a week and we had no problems with getting towels and the staff was very nice. We ate at just about every restaurant in the casino and the food was great too. Very friendly servers. If we ever come back to Vegas we will stay at the Orleans.
My visit was not for gaming but to eat with a buddy who was playing in a poker tournament. Upon entry you of course have to deal with the regime imposed screening. Employees are friendly. The gaming floor wasnt crowded. We ate at the Baliwick restaurant. The staff was fabulous and infact prepared a meal that isnt on the menu. If at or in the area make a trip in to eat here. Overall I will be returning soon.
Best hotel and casino in Las Vegas, clean and and upscale. Pat Thompson made our experience fabulous
Their house keeping are the sweetest people in the city. The security was very friendly. Machines were very tight, I expected they would be. The trying to make up for lost income due to the virus. Although I hadnt eaten at the restaurants this time around, I have in the past and the food is excellent. Hospitality wise I give them a ten. Overall I give them a 8 which very easily could have been a 9 if I won some money. I forgot to mention the reason I stayed there, most affordable hotel in town. Security deposit $100 per stay not per night.
Positive: Free parking Negative: Coffee machine was dirty
Positive: The staff was very helpful. Great hospitality. Negative: The rooms have old furniture in them. The furniture is to big for the sitting space.
Amazing. Great subtle get away from the main strip. Valets, Front Desk, Security, Maintenance and Housekeeping are all above average. Decent restaurants and bars, great gaming floor. Excellent pool and Cabana area with bar. Book it!!!
Positive: Improved appearance Negative: Not enough towels
The poker room had 15,000 guaranteed 130 buyin the gaming was great. The problem was when I left. I was standing directly outside the entrance waiting for an uber. No casino security presence, nothing. Three men came out and one told me to give him money and I responded that was not happening. He then basically threatened to shoot me and assumed I was getting an Uber and announced he would be following the driver. Again this is happening within 5 feet of the casino entrance. I eased back into the entrance of the casino where two casino security workers are positioned for entering patrons. I relayed what happened to the security staff and they literally laughed they want to ROB you . I couldnt believe it. Anyway great gaming experience but I will never return because of this experience when I was exiting the casino
I was actually quite surprised. This hotel gets a 5 because of its overall experience. Room was exceptionally cleaned staff customer service gets 10 stars. Thank you for having us
Positive: Everything Negative: Nada damn thing
Great food at TGI Fridays in the Orleans....Slot machines were tight....Clean and pandemic friendly.
Positive: Clean and spacious Negative: Smoky
No mini fridge and parking is way off from elevators. Other than that everything else is great. Customer service, coupons, plenty of machines and tables to play, good food.
My wife and I just returned from celebrating our anniversary by staying at The Orleans. Good time spent here as in past years. Only one thing we were disappointing was the temporary closure of The Loft Prime Rib restaurant. We miss it. Well continue to be back.
Great rooms! This is the place weve been staying for over 10 yrs. Great buffet and Poker Room! Slot Tournaments were the best?
Even during the Pandemic, its still a nice hotel & casino to visit. Strong enforcement of mask wear distancing at the tables and slots. Excellent security presence on the casino floor. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worth a visit.
The Orleans reopened more normal than most other casinos. There were more places to eat and the movie theaters were opened. Most of the gambling slots were available. Video poker machines are paying off. Overall, it was enjoyable. The only negatives were that the buffet was not open and no shuttle service. I believe they could have opened both with a little effort!! If Southpoint casino could do it, The Orleans could as well.......??
It was nice getting out of the house. But the strangest thibg occured while grabbing a bite at the cafe. The servers were extremetly un attached. Most unusual. It felt very impersonal. Hard to explain but the food was great! Thank you.
I had my mother stay here when she visited. It being off the strip and an older hotel, I thought it was going to show its age. I hadnt been here in a while. I was pleasantly surprised how well they kept it up. The rooms were clean and was a very comfortable place for her to stay.
Dont care for the Asian lady in the pit bat attitude ornery dont like the lack of customer service and my husband played there the entire week straight they need to treat their patrons better its because of them you have a job and an existing poker room we spend valuable money & time there.
This casino has all my favorite old school games, plus so many new machines its mind boggling! Its much bigger inside than the outside of the building looks. Theres plenty of eating options, the cocktail waitresses are always around. You dont have to look far to find one. All the staff are friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this establishment for both the huge variety of gaming options and for the great staff.
Nice big room for 5. Two beds n sofa but no fridge or microwave. Guess you have to request it . Overall everything was great n fast service (extra towels). Temp check at all entrances and valet service.
... I have been to this Casino and ive stayed in the Hotel...the rooms are good no complaints !! Now the Casino....theres Alot there ...left to be desired . The machines are as tight as they GET !!! Seriously tho... I stayed 3 nites and in those 3 nights ..i lost over 500 dollars and im no rookie ...ive lived in Vegas for 30 years now...not only was i losing ...but talked to many other patrons...and they all said the same thing... Cant WIN... 4. LOSING they ALL were as discusted as I !! HEY ORLEANS...BETTER LOOSEN UP. BEFORE ITS TOO LATE !!!
We love the Orleans for their wide variety of progressive video poker. The locals love it. Great beverage service while playing. Als oyster bar is great..but wasnt open this trip.
Very accommodating and good pricing. I was a little noisy, but I chalked it up to Saturday night fun. The was helpful and made it easy to get in the room. The Copper Whisk Cafe inside the hotel makes great food.
There really isnt anything I enjoyed about my stay here. The shower drained slowly and had caulk peeling off the wall. Asked for a soda water and lime and was told the bars dont have fruit, like Im some kind of weirdo for asking. Was locked out of my room for a while because front desk didnt process my reservation properly. And most of the staff were pretty dismissive and rude. Like, I get it, I dont want to be at a casino in the middle of a pandemic either, but this was the best deal I got while I was waiting for my new apartment to free up so here we are. Really the only exception were the door and elevator guards, they were always pretty nice. I dont have anything else good to say about The Orleans.
The hotel is nice. It is open with some restaurants and other attractions still closed. The hotel workers take every precaution to secure your health and safety. If you forget your mask for example the employees give you a friendly reminder to wear your mask or see if you need a mask. I cant wait to visit once we are out of the pandemic.
Nice comfortable room staff are nice and friendly. Love the Decorations and the Alligator Bar.
The poker tournaments were very good. The parking is very near the poker room which is nice! They had dividers between players for added safety. Masks were also required.
Comfortable, spacious rooms. The hotel is dealing with the pandemic constraints the best they can. The pool is on the shallow side (no more than 4 deep at its deepest point. I have no real complaints.
Great place to play poker. I felt extremely safe . The way they disinfect every item. Its amazing playing poker with partitions and everybody wearing a mask. I be back real soon.
We stopped here to watch Tenet in their theater. Great service. Reasonably priced and very clean/covid friendly. We will be back!
Everything was fine until we met the security guard at the front entrance screening people for covid. The dude was on a total power trip barking orders at everyone who came through and being incredibly rude. You should really screen employees before putting them in customer facing roles, especially the front door. Its amazing how one employee can make a place so undesirable. I wont be back.
Played blackjack here felt very unwelcoming rules are a bit different than other places. You have to leave cards face down and only touch them with one hand or else they start giving you dirty looks. I was new to this so I didnt understand and made mistakes a few times overall did not enjoy gambling at the blackjack table here weird vibes as soon as I sat down. Treasure Island or El Cortez are much better places to play Blackjack
On September 3, 2020, after a long day on the road from Oregon, because we where moving cross country! We treated ourselves to a nice break, by staying at The Orleans! Not thinking clear from being over tried and it being late( I had unload are luggage out and sat it beside our vehicle), took off for less then 5 min to go get cigarettes, when we realized we left our luggage sitting out! Reported it right away to security and they did a report! Plus the supervisor did report to us that in fact that someone did take our stuff and was no longer on the property! Top it all off the security lied to the police saying there was no video footage! I am outrage, we lost all our clothing and medicine, money I had hide(for our move), with an cashier check, plus things I cant replaced that my mother made for me! We had to borrow money to finish our move! This is not a safe place to stay!
Positive: Covid changed my experience, so what I think had a lot to do with our world being different at these times.
Forgot my wallet when I checked out. When I call to see if it was found, to my surprise, it was. Even the money instead the wallet. Very honest staff. Cant wait to visit again.
Great place to stay! Ive been coming here for several years. Anything you want or need, the Orleans has it! Great sanitizing, social Distancing, and awesome employees!!
My favorite Hotel and Casino by far...big rooms, large gambling area, pool, bowling alley, food court, TGIF, Copper Whisk Coffe Shop and All You Can Eat Buffet...you got it all here at The Orleans Hotel and Casino...This is a Boyds Property so playing comps are shared amongst the other Boyds properties.
Me and my whole family love The Orleans.️ It has a great atmosphere. This is our favorite place to gamble. Also there Buffet is the best. Mom always seems to be the luckiest!!
Positive: The AC worked Negative: Entire Hotel and Casino reeked of marijuana smoke. My room had bedbugs. I had to clean my own room. No HBO or movie channels like Showtime etc. No microwave or fridge.
There were sunglasses left in our room. Room service was pounding on our door at 1130pm handing out towels. Lastly the bed was rock hard. The good tho was the place was clean, everyone was nice and helpful and parking to the room was easily accessible. I would stay again.
Like it its funEasy 4 me 2 find someoneThey will page if u cant find yr party
The hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the staff was friendly & helpful. COVID limited what was available at the hotel, the available food choices were not that good, but Im sure if everything was open it could have been a 5-star experience. We would stay there again!
I hate to give this casino a thumbs down considering Im born and raised in NEW ORLEANS. I mean theres no return when u spending in this place. TO TOP IT ALL OFF I CONTACTED THE DIRECT SITE, NOT SURE WHAT FOR TO BE SEEMING LIKE THEY HAD SOMETHING TO SAY. THE EMAIL WITH THEIR VP DIDNT MAKE SINCE........... ESPECIALLY GOING GHOST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONVERSATION.
I would love to share my experience about the pros and cons of the hotel and casino but since they do not enforce the mask mandate, that says it all. We were so disappointed that people were allowed to walk around with no masks or masks under their noses or chins. They have some amazing features there but we wont be going back after being lied to about them keeping us safe.
I went to check out of the hotel and there was a discrepancy on my bill. I was given an amount that I received from the front desk when I checked in. Being that I travel a lot, I write down the information from the front desk. When I called downstairs to check out to talk about the discrepancy the supervisor at the front desk apologize for my misunderstanding and that I need to pay more attention when somebody at his front desk is giving details. I explain to him that I wrote down with the details. He again apologize for my lack of understanding that his employee would never ever make a mistake. Never been so disgusted with a supervisor at a hotel !! Guess he never makes mistakes.
This is a fun exciting, off-strip casino. Quite large with plenty of machines to choose from.... Mostly newer. If youre on a budget, you can still find a few older machines which have not had their lower paylines locked-out, like many of the greedier casinos and my luck has been mixed. There are no old-style coin operated machines. The rooms are clean with all the basic amenities, Comfy beds and are good sized. Many are updated with modern furnishings and some are not, with what is, I imagine, an older French, New Orleans style. All are nice. The service here has always been good; nothing that stands out as exceptional, either good or bad. There are plenty of food options to choose from with pricing scales to cover most peoples preferences... From Subways & Fuddruckers at the lower-end,, a coffee shop which is quite good (recently remodeled) to Bailiwicks, Ondori Asian Kitchen and the Prime Rib Loft at the higher end. While Vegas is not the best place for children, there are options to keep them somewhat entertained There is a bowling alley, movie theater, kids arcade and Kids Tyme (daycare ages 3-12). Also there is an arena which hosts minor sporting events and concerts.
Really great, friendly staff. Spotless, constant cleaning in progress for safety. Waitresses are fast and seem so happy!
Fun family place. Felt very safe with the protocols they have in place. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I had a great time. Peaceful and clean. A wonderful experience
Good size rooms, big casino. Food was good still two restaurants closed. Help was very friendly.
It was oddly eery with empty casino chairs. We went to Ondoris Asian Restaurant for take out. The food which is normally great was ! It was like walking through an internal ghost town! Are we great yet?
Great service at TGI FRIDAYS. My server had recently visited WAITTS LAKE in Washington state. I think his name was DJ. Great burger and cocktails and very convenient to THE WORLDMARK TROPICANA.
