Primarily Prime Rib restaurant is wonderful!Fabulous! Make a reservation. If you are celebrating an occasion mention that on your reservation. They will make it special. The prime rib is excellent. Service is great.

Very nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The casino was nice. We had a great meal at their restaurant inside the casino. Very safe, everyone is wearing masks. Very relaxing vacation.

This hotel&casino is nice and clean in a really nice area. If you need the rush of the strip its a 5 min ride. Rooms are big and really nice. The food at all the establishments Ive eaten at have really good food. There are a couple fast food options and ICE CREAM! They have one of the best bowling alleys Ive bowled at and all the best slots and table games including a great poker room. My wife (the gambler) and I have stayed all over Vegas for the past 21 years. South Point has become one of our favorite casinos and very well may become THE casino for us in the future. I recommend staying here

It was a Wonderful experience. The staff was genuinely nice & the atmosphere was popping... Their late night food shops were open & clean. Not expensive at all. Definitely worth your time and money. We will stay there again!

They have it all here. My 90+ year old in-laws love the slots; I can leave them in the morning and pick them up for dinner. I enjoy playing blackjack and all the table games have friendly, professional staff. The grandkids enjoy the arcade and movie theater and the huge bowling alley is fun for all of us.The youngsters like to eat at Steak and Shake but the buffet and other restaurants offer a great variety. When Budweiser brings the Clydesdales to town the youngsters are captivated by the size of the horses and the cuteness of the Dalmatians. Oh yeh, the free beer aint si bad...

Well lets start with the bathroom sink clogging everything we used the basin.Then the coffer dispenser had no coffee or condiments. There were only two very small pillows.A good thing the heating unit was great placed on 68 the room was always the right temperature.

This is a older Casino but they have it well kept they have about four restaurants inside the casino Steak and Shake a buffet area into other restaurants they also have Bingo and bowling here thats very fun not too expensive The Games and Slots are really nice they have a few different tables that you can play it like Blackjack roulette poker they do have a hi player table thats a little costly depending on what do you want to spend Slots are Fun everythings well kept clean even during this time mask or worn people are very nice is super fun and enjoyable they also have free VIP parking that helps a lot we have ice cream shop a coffee shop everything is so delicious you can enjoy yourself at this wonderful Casino hope to see you soon heres some pictures of my slot plays and the fun I had there

Really nice casino on south end of Vegas. Well designed casino with nicer hotel rooms and several restaurants/dining options. Casino table games are cheaper than strip options and slot machines are plentiful on property. Recommended for all people in Henderson area, tourists and locals who want high quality gaming with lots of dining options without crazy pricing. Wheel chair accessible with handicap parking.

I loved this place. Always come here every time I am in Vegas. More family oriented, if such a thing is possible in Vegas. My kids loved the fact that this place has bowling, movies and an arcade. Keeps them entertained without going through the crazy crowds on the Strip. The slots are not too bad here, either.

Personally, never cared for South Point gaming machines you never WIN! HOWEVER; THERE ARE DOZEN REASONS TO GO AND HAVE YOUR OWN Opinion. S.P. has very good rewards program and give you $7.50 free play on your birthday. Bars on casino floor are good meeting places to mingle. There are many very good places to eat, bowling alley huge, movie theatre awesome, employees are polite professional and fun. Steak n Shake, buffet, Chinese diner, and oyster bar serve good eats. Idk if Michaels is still there if so absolutely have to eat there old school steakhouse. Very Covid compliant. Check it out for yourself

Nice and clean, didnt feel too exposed to the virus, not any different than going to the grocery store. Everyone on staff was very helpful and friendly.

The room and the service was great. We didnt gamble, we were there for a wedding. If smoke doesnt bother you great. But just walking through the casino from our hotel room (you have no choice, you have to walk through the casino) we smelled like an ash tray before we even hit the door. We will not get a room there again for that reason. But, like I said the room and the staff were great.

We went to the South Point to watch our neice compete In a barrel racing competition. Its a huge facility that caters to equine events. After the event, we went to the attached casino and had a great time. The casino is clean, spacious and had a wide variety of loose slots. There is a also a hotel on the property and several restaurants. Its about five miles from the strip but if you like to get away from the chaotic crowds and still have a great time this is the place for you.

Southpoint Cafe has the best Chinese food!!! Who would’ve thought that you can find the best Chinese food in a casino cafe?!!! Of all the Chinese restaurants I’ve experienced throughout Las Vegas, the Honey Walnut Shrimp and other dishes were top notch and the best I’ve tasted! A must try!

I really enjoyed myself here. This casino has lots to do for the entire family. If you play poker, youre going to love all the cash promotions. Also, the tables separates all the customers by plexiglas for social distancing. A cleaning crew immediately cleans behind every person that leaves. I will most definitely return for more fun.

I know where it is...I work for USBC for the last 5 years doing the Open Championship or the Womens Open Championship. Best group of people to work for and the bowlers are my absolute favorite people in the world. I miss this event and cant wait for its return!

This is a pretty nice place. Lots of parking, low minimum tables, sports book, miles and miles of slot machines and video poker. Buffet is open, and all around nice place. You should be able to find whatever youre looking for. Still a short 10-min drive straight down Las Vegas Blvd, to the strip.

Inviting. Felt extremely comfortable with the security in place. I was surprised to see a buffet up & running. I wanted to eat there. But it was way too crowded in the line and the wait was around an hour. Casino was clean and no heavy smoke.

Surprisingly, it was very crowded here. There definitely wasnt any attempt to social distance, especially at the gaming tables. People were sitting 6 to table and crammed around others. Even though it had been a while since I had visited a casino, the cigarette and cigar smoke was overwhelming. I sat at a slot machine with my husband for about 45 minutes and never got the drink I ordered. My husband decided he would just get his at the bar. He came back with 6 fl oz cup filled to the brim with ice and a tiny amount of gin and tonic. He rolled his eyes and shook his head with disappointment. Finally we decided that we had had enough of this place and left. Its sad, this place used to be really nice, the people friendly. However now that there are more casinos in this area, we will choose a different one next time.

We loved this hotel much more laid back than the ones on the strip, their buffet was on point. Definitely will be going back to eat and play there.

I love South Point the suites are roomy, the comps are convenient and come in handy. The food is delicious, the servers are always there when you need a refresher. The slots have always been generous with me. There is not one area that is lacking. The room prices are reasonable too.Good luck at the tables!

First time back since Auntie Rona hit. Just be prepared to wait to be served if they are busy. We came on a Friday morning and it was slow which was nice. Very nice choice off food eggs Benedict, hashbrowns, ham,sausage, pancakes, french toast and a omelet station . Breakfast price is 13 for non members and 10 for members.

Positive: Nice room Negative: Casino staff not enforcing the mask requirement consistently. I was drinking a drink and a slot host said something about not wearing a mask and I told him I was drinking, he was rude about it saying you had to put it over your mouth after every drink.

Spent our honeymoon here in October and had a great time! Only resort that is almost fully open with exception of the hot tub. Pool is open as well as the movie theater, bowling and bingo! We will be back!

Ive been there 3xs & won twice not bad in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Went there with only 60 bucks & hit back to back jackpots totalling 14,000. I have not stayed at the hotel so cant comment or speculate on it BUT.......They have a great all you can eat buffet. SOUTH POINT IS WORTH CHECKING OUT ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TIRED OF THE MORE CROWDED SPOTS DOWN THE STREET.

Rooms were very luxurious and clean. Stayed after masks were not required but all staff still had them on and they had every other machine out of service. They only clean your room if youre there for more than 4 days. Jacuzzi and kiddie pool are closed. I believe all restaurants are open except buffet. Its a bit boring for a Las Vegas casino though.

Has great selections on places to eat.Rooms are very nice especially the deluxe suite and tbe view is fantastic.just dont go here to gamble tightest machines ive ever experienced and im a local. They do have great promotions if you could ever win there but dont count on it . I swear they shut down players cards on certain people. If your going for a night out bowling movies and to eat great place but gambling dont do it you will not win!

Still my favorite Vegas casino. Away from all the traffic of central Vegas and with easy parking. I had a problem with noise around 2am and security had a prompt response and even came back when the people wouldnt stop making noise. Security told them they would escort them off the property if they didnt quiet down.The Mask Police was a bit heavy-handed in the sports book. You have to put your mask on between sips of your drink. They dont even ask you to do the same between bites in the restaurants. Lighten up!They need more wait staff at the bars during busy times. Not one server was on one side of the bar during Saturday night.

Its inviting and spacious, and parking is very convenient. The slot machines are many and varied, and well laid out. There are 4 or 5 restaurants. I recommend coming here to gamble and/or stay!

The buffet at south point was awesome. There is a good variety of food that was served by staff. You need to wear mask when you are not eating. Every thing seemed clean and all staff were masked. There also were tables not in use to ensure social distance . The price is discounted with a rewards card.

This is our favorite place to stay in vegas. The staff is friendly. the prices arent quite as high as the strip and some other establishments. The pool is well thought out and gets plenty of sun, an issue with other places we have stayed is that the sun is never on the pool due to high buildings or the direction the pool is facing. There are several restaurant choices. Even the gift shop liquor and drink prices are halfway reasonable. The rooms are well apportioned and clean. Plenty of parking.

We have never stayed at South Point but ALWAYS stop in there when we are in Vegas ( which is a lot). We love all it has to offer like movie theater, bowling alley & great restraunts. This last visit about a week ago we discovered their Buffet and it is a must go to! Weve also been there when they have there gem shows and the arena setup to show horses.

No mask or temp check at the door! --Is that a good thing? I guess it depends on how you view the Governors order -- but, there were plenty of mask wearing patrons and all the staffers had on masks or face shields. It is a large, spacious and well lit casino. Theres a great mix of old version and new style gaming machines. Plenty of food places AND their buffet is open!! All the staff is pleasant and courteous. Theres constant cleaning. The buffet servers fill you plate. Its still all you can eat-- yayyy! Its like any other casino, tho. I won some -- but I left it all there!!!

Lots of parking, casino is nice, great workers I’ve won 7 hand pays totaling over $12,000 and every time they were quick to pay me and move on. Even with Covid they make sure social distancing at machines is spaced out, and the cocktail waitress are on it with getting my orders while playing. Love this casino and the bowling center is nice.

Great place and great service! Staff is very kind and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and priced fairly.My only complaint is with the bars being closed getting a drink from a waitress was near impossible.

We really enjoyed the South Point. We feel that we got a good value for our money on the room. The restaurants are reasonably priced and turn out excellent food. If you are looking for a non pretentious place to stay the South Point is perfect.

I love this hotel. Its a one stop shop per say. Hotel, bowling, movie theater, casino, ice cream store. You cant go wrong. Close to the freeway. Great place!

So the room was very nice and clean. The low rating comes from the fact that we didnt have any cold water in our room, none at all. We arrived tired and wanting a shower but all we had was scalding hot water. I called the front desk and the timely response from the maintenance worker was awesome, the treatment from the front desk however was not. It was almost 2am by the time the maintenance worker told us it could not be fixed at that time so he requested that we be moved to another room. I heard him ask the desk that our room be comped. At checkout in the morning, the employee at the desk told me otherwise. She said that by changing our room at 2am was compensation enough and no other compensation would be offered. I/we personally dont think that finally being allowed to take our showers at 2:30am is or was reasonable. We will NEVER start there again and we will not recommend this establishment to anyone. On the contrary, we will steer friends and family away.

If you want to be in Vegas but NOT be in Vegas, this is your spot. Locals love it. Im guessing thats because of the distance from the strip. If you want the Action of the Blvd, this is not the hotel for you. I stayed a night, then relocated because I didnt want to purchase a rental car.

Good food portion size at the diner and the flavor was ok. Concerned though about there cleaning procedures with the menus. I had to ask them to change the cleansing cloth. I opted to use the QR menu instead

Big Sur Oyster Bar Awesome NE Clam Chowder, we are locals so when we have the taste for clam chowder and my Oysters Rockefeller this is the only place we go. Always friendly service at the counter. Fresh no dirt in the oysters always cooked to perfection and flavorful.

Nice hotel away from the strip, but not too far away if you want to go there. Rooms were big/ love the wood floors and large bathroom with the tub and shower being completely separated by a door from the sink and vanity. The hotel was very clean and they did a good job keeping it this way with covid. I decided to take my 3 kids (ages 9, 14 & 16) on a little get a way and it was a good choice to stay here. Also the pool was very nice and not over crowded. The prices on dining and drinks were also cheeper than the strip hotels as well as their resort fees. Lots to do with a family like bowling and a movie theater. If I bring my family back to Vegas again, we are totally staying here hands down...

I always go there, and the food is always good, staff friendly and slots are good however, the mattresses were hard as a rock. While gambling, we couldnt find a cocktail waitress...I approached one leaving the bar area, and she said I would have to ask the other girl going by the slot machine I and my daughter were playing. She also had a bad attitude. By the time I turned around, she was gone. I just walked over to the Steak and Shake and bought a diet coke...it was cheaper, bigger and better, and the staff there were super friendly at the take out! The Big Sur oyster bar is open, and the food is outstanding as usual!

Great place to stay rooms were clean. No problems with staff. I didnt need to interact with many. The only minor issue was the shower nozle could need replacing as there is a lot of lime built up on the shower head. The water seems a little hard and was hurting my skin a little but i have sensitive skin.

Currently (during Covid-19), this has to be the best poker room in Vegas. Nice promos in the poker room and theyve just installed plastic so tables are 8 handed. Several daily tournaments with reasonable rake.With no food allowed currently in the poker room, I think its unreasonable to only allow 10 minutes to be away from the table before chips are picked up - particularly if youre sitting at your preferred table/seat..I made the suggestion of a little longer dinner-break policy to the poker manager (Troy), but I didnt feel he was very respectfully of my suggestion.

Im new to Nevada and have never been here before. I have to say I was inpressed. The staff was efficient and professional. The casino was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be going back!

The rooms are nice, but the beds are absolutely horrible. Water/shower was good and rooms were clean, but the beds really killed the enjoyment of everything else. My neck and back STILL hurt a week after spending just 1 night here. Never again.

South Point was fine, prior to covid. As of right now, they dont do temperature checks or have disinfectant wipes for customers. One person will be playing on a machine and then someone else jumps on. No preventative measures in that regard. Also, if you go to cash in a voucher, they will only give you whole dollar amounts. So make sure you save your receipts to get your change. It adds up!

South point is my new favourite place to stay in vegas. I have been lots of time for conventions and this time It was at south point. The hotel is nice and big with everything you need at any hour. The rooms are very nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. They have a lot of great slot machines and lots of tables to play at so never waiting to play. The restaurants that are on the grounds are wonderful and well priced. The pool area is fantastic with lots of room and chairs. They have rodeo grounds right inside the hotel as well which makes for a very cool experience. They have local vendors inside selling awesome stuff that makes the atmosphere different from all the rest. I will for sure be staying here again when I head back down. Thanks team.

Great hotel, kind of a different vibe going doing the current times. The food was okay and did not really stand out at the restaurants that were open. The machines hit just enough for you to feel like youll win but you dont.

I gave a 1 star for not keeping up with the mask rule inside casino. Not keeping 5 ft distance in the lines to the restaurants. I know we are all tired of wearing mask. I know to get get rid of this virus we all have to work together. Im an owner at Grandview. I havent been out of my home town in a year. I thought south point would enforce their governor orders to wear mask. Guess I thought wrong.

When I arrived at my room there was still food in the refrigerator from the guest before me. It was pretty scary especially with us fighting a pandemic. I was told a manager would come speak with me concerning the incident. A day later no one has said anything about it. I am staying here for five days hopefully it gets better.

Great places to eat, they even have a hot dog stand for a dollar twenty-five. Very popular 4 anxious gamblers. For lunch I ate at the garden buffet,$14 and a great selection of ethnic foods.

As I came to visit friends from out of town I found this property to be very clean, organized,friendly and a larger crowd then I had expected. That is good. Now we just need to get rid of the ridiculous mask rule and people will be happier and better off.

Loved this hotel so much better than the ones on the Strip. Larger rooms and the crowd is better. Tons of places to eat, bowl and even a movie theater.

First time here but wont be the last. They have a great poker room, huge selection of slots and the table limits are unbelievably reasonable. Well definitely be coming back!

South Point is about 4 miles outside of the main strip west of it. Its nice enough and clean enough but not the best atmosphere like the strip is. The Garden Buffet is very mediocre at the very best
