If you’re looking to stay close to the strip without paying for an overpriced room with resort fees, then you should definitely check out the Mardi Gras. The prices were great, the room was big, the bed was comfortable, the shower head was nice, the pool was relaxing, and the food/drinks were worth it, especially with two Happy Hours every day. Now the reason I gave it three stars was because the room smelled strong of cigarette smoke even though it was suppose to be Non-Smoking. I had even brought an air freshener just in case, but it couldn’t clear it out. Also, the walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors at all times throughout the night. I recommend requesting the top floor to get a little more peace and quiet from the lower level noise. If cigarette smell and some noise doesn’t bother you, then you’re good to go!

If you are on a budget and can deal with a less than spectacular hotel, stay here. This is a no frills place. I was lucky and checked out the following morning, changed my flight departure, and never looked back.

Large affordable suite like rooms that are pretty decent for what you pay. With no resort fee! The casino is more of a hotel lobby with 15 or so machines. There is a bar & grill with more bar top machines and a decent food menu. Not your conventional Vegas hotel/casino but all in all, for what you pay, worth it. Plus its within walking distance of the convention center.

Its a cheap motel. Pool looks good and clean. Room is fine, fairly spacious for what you could get elsewhere. Water pressure is good, very hot water. The quality is low overall but fully acceptable. Service staff are hard working thats clear.My only issue was the internet was BAD. Intermittent, slow, etc. In short occupancy during covid was low, and this internet is this bad during this time, what is it like with more people in the motel?

Nice, clean rooms w/fridge but no microwave. Noise levels can exceed the norm. For the cost and vicinity to major casinos, it is worth a look.The hotel casino is very cozy and limited to video gaming. Wear your mask during covid. The bar was quiet with 1/2 priced appetizers and drinks between 4 - 6 pm.If it wasnt for the noise level, it would have received 4 stars

Its pretty “ sleazy momo” which I personally enjoy that kinda decor style myself. ... the gambling slot machines are week at best and just lacking in general but hey if your staying here chances are you financially most likely in no position to be gambling anyway lol.. I love this place

Why is this place poor? Why this hotel is probably the WORST Place to stay? I called to get my reservation canceled or moved up another year because of well, COVID :/ customer service depends on who and how you talk to them so Im not gonna say its bad nor good, they said we havent done a reservation even though I told him which day and date, few days later a fee of $72 dollars go by and guess what? This hotel that we tried to cancel, charged for one night which we didnt say, we never got our money back, dont call this hotel at all as Most likely steal you money :) yea this places is at a VERY VERY shady place/the hood basically, again dony go please, we gone for you so you guys dont have too .

Showed up to check in for my reservation and there were 2 FBI vans and about 7 cop cars outside doing an investigation. I called in to cancel because I did not feel safe getting out of my car! They sounded very unconcerned, told me it happens all the time, and sent me on a wild goose chase to try and get refunded for the room, which in the end was never given. Very very disappointed with the service.

Low quality hotel bare bones effort, cant order food to room. The Cafe advertised is the small Bar area not bad if u smoke . Only about 30 slot machine in this place. More cozy and tight than spread out one older lady who will get u a drink but u have to find her. She is ae one who does pay outs. People Screaming and fighting in parking lot. Both days I was there.

Positive: It was in a tough neighborhood but close to many shops, bars, etc. Negative: It was kind of run down. Lamp did not work. Phone did not work. TV did not work. Then was transferred to a better room.

Nice room for the price and especially with the $5 resort fee. Most of the major hotels charge you at least $40 for your resort fee on top of your basic charges. Kind of in a rough neighborhood but not horrible.

Three and a half. Rough people here but thats how it is around the strip. On the strip homeless sleep around the buildings. Mardi gras runs them off. They linger but harmless. Very laid back.

BEWARE! This hotel advertises on booking.com as a 3-star hotel. When we showed up, it was nothing like that. I kindly asked the front desk to see if we can cancel the booking and she said yes, just contact booking.com. We did immediately but did not get a hold of them, so we left booking.com a message. Fast forward 21 days, I saw this hotel charge me a NO SHOW FEE of $41(?!?!). I mean are you serious? They don’t deserve any business! I don’t recommend anyone to stay here unless you want to be ripped off with stupid charges. ZERO STAR!

Noise all night. Seemed clean, big, strange rooms. A little run down. Staff was very nice. Drinks an food 1/2 price every day from 5pm to 6 pm.

My 9 years old son found USED CONDOMS underneath the bed SO UNSANITARY. Manager Maggie was rude and questioned why we needed towels when we called for towels I have never had the treatment like i had from this hotel in any of the other hotels ive stayed in. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO STAY HERE!! THANKFULLY Groupon offered to refund us for our second night stay there we definitely checked out early the next morning.

The service I received from the front desk clerk is what I would expect from a corrections officer..a cold, callus, desensitized, and miserable, individual. besides the horrible treatment we received at check in our room was one I would expect from a third world country definitely not worth the 60 extra dollars the charge you at check in so I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!

Booked a room. While crossing Arizona dead space they cancelled our booking. Had no clue till we arrived. Cant remember the gals name at the front desk but she had just moved from Camas, WA, she was super apologetic and very concerned that we find a place.Was very nice place, wish we could have experienced it.

You get what you Pay for Honestly. This off the Main strip, is real close to the Wynn of the strip and Fremont St. Great food and Cheap breakfast with 2 miles. I like the layout. little living room for single bedrooms. Some room separation for Two queen rooms and bar area with mini fridge. Walls are thin, so if you need silence to sleep go somewhere else.

Hit a 5 spot on nickel Keno. Woof woot. Have seen lots of people hit tho. Best breakfast on east side.

Upon entering the room, it was dirty and there were stains on both beds. The parking lot had random people walking around and looked very sketchy. For two girls, we did not feel safe. We were able to cancel our reservation after complaining to the front desk about the room. We didnt get a full refund but it was better than staying there. We were able to book a much nicer room at the Tuscany suites. Be advised, not the most sanitary or safest hotel.

Place was perfect located, close to strip, they have their own parking place, just in front of rooms.Reception workers was very nice.If you are gambler in first floor near reception you can play some casino games.Room been cleaned every day, very spacious and comfortable, with working conditioning,will definitely stay there next time.

We stayed here for the night on our Thanksgiving weekend road trip. We were looking for an affordable decent hotel in the heart of Las Vegas. As many hotels have an exorbitant resort fee in addition to the room price, this hotel is reasonable with a resort fee of $5.67 per night.Upon arrival, it looked like a cheap motel, with exterior room entrance. Checking in through the main office was quick. The front desk is in the same area as the casino and bar. The ice machine in the back of the main office area was broken, so I had to request ice from the bar.Our room was on the side of the building. Doing a quick room check, it looked clean. The Queen size bed was on your left when entering. There was a couch and a table in the middle of the room. Bar like stool and one chair on the right, with a small fridge. Huge mirror closet with hangers, iron board, and iron enclosed. I liked how the sink was outside the toilet and shower area. The window curtains were dirty.The bathroom light is enabled via a motion detecting sensor. Basically it turns on when it detects someone in the bathroom, but turns off in 30 seconds (I timed it) if no motion is detected. It became really annoying when I was using the toilet or taking a shower, and the light turned off while I was in the bathroom. I know they’re trying to conserve electricity, but they need to either increase the auto off time, or give the guest an option to turn it off.The bed was super uncomfortable. The bedskirt was stained. The box spring coils had no firmness to uphold the soft mattress. We sank into the middle of the mattress when sleeping, and the pillows were smaller than average. Doubling the pillows made them too high, and the single pillow was too low and flat. We woke up with back and neck pain from a very uncomfortable sleepless night. Time to change the mattress.Cheap place to crash for the night, but I don’t know if it’s worth sacrificing the essence of a hotel—sleep. Probably wouldn’t book here again.

The reason this is 2 stars and not one is because the bed DIDNT have bed bugs. Lets be real, I stayed here because paradise has a much smaller resort fee than the strip and I was being cheap. However I regret not spending more money to stay at a place with a comfy bed. I slept horrible.Immediately when walking through the door, I was hit with a strange scent of cigarette smoke and an island breeze car freshener. At least it was better than the rancid pee smell that is all over the parking lot and stairs outside.The bed sheets had stains all over it; the place is very dated and not the cleanest. The room was pretty spacious so I imagine groups of people would like the room since there is a beer bottle opener on the wall.

Lots of drug dealers and loud people screaming yelling not for the family or really anyone wanting a nice safe experience. The staff is exceptional and I feel sorry for them. Food is good and staff service is exceptional.

TV has about 5 channels no microwave in room or at all in the hotel. people hanging around are sketchy the casino is really small and the food isnt that great rooms could be alot cleaner oh and if you are booking this hotel cause of the shuttle dont they are not giving rides, also hardly any restaurants or places to eat near by and I would not recommend walking around at night here

The check-in and check-out are both quick and easy. Parking is also not a problem. Looking for your room may get a little bit confusing if youve never been there but the staff will provide a map, anyway. The amenities are generally okay, though they could still be improved. The only thing that may make you feel a bit uncomfortable is that, you could hear some noisy neighbors from inside your room, but that could be bearable.

I been treated better I am disabled with a Heart Condition witch only allow me to move at certain pace.explain that to the clerk And was still giving a 3rd floor room after being released from the hospital and needed stay until my flight the next morning....

Positive: Big room Negative: Girl in the room next to me got arrested and there was A LOT of transients hanging around the hotel. Not a safe feeling environment. Also, the room had 1 32 TV that was about 50 ft from the bed and only got 4 or 5 Chanels.

When first trying to check in the front desk lady at the end on the right side at end was very rude. Upon checking it the lady that help us was nice and helpful. Upon going to my room and noticed my sheets had stains on them. They moved me to another room. When we got back from. being out I pulled my sheets back and there was something in the sheets that looked like a bug we were with another party and were trying to stay close together the third move was to the third floor and it was ok. Woke up at 4am went outside and by the pool area was Man sleeping i called front desk they security would take of it went back out at 600 he was still sleeping called front desk and they sent security he left property. Iam staying here now. I feel that there should be some compensation for the inconvenience final roon number is 3139 thank you Danielle Rivera

This place is gross! The room Is spacious, but the venue itself if super dirty. Even if Covid wasn’t going on I’d have felt dirty there. The location invites a lot of local deviants causing the ambiance to be super ghetto. Big parking lot, but car alarms kept going off causing me to keep checking on my car to ensure it wasn’t stolen. Lockes on the doors had been Obviously busted off multiple times. The pool was clean, but the deck around it was in rough shape. Not family friendly and not a place worth staying if running solo. Vegas has too many options and at a better price for me to ever go back.

Older hotel but comfortableStaff very friendly and helpful. Only had an issue with the courtesy shuttle not communicating with staff at hotel, at the end of the night (I called hotel twice) and my party plus another could was left downtown.Lobby staff, restaurant service, & cleaning staff all friendly.The small fridge froze everything, even on lowest setting, but not a huge deal. Small casino in the lobby but restaurant had good food with very reasonable prices, even for drinks. I would recommend, if you are going with friends for fun and wont spend much time in the room. Pool looked very nice.

The room was good. The pool is good. However security and hotel staff dont do much about illegal drug use and rowdiness at the pool.

The front desk really dont help you with much the lady at front desk was rude during check in. Dont get queen rooms the beds are very small. changed rooms the second room had no ice bucket you can tell that the rooms are half clean... I like the fact that there was an ice machine and a laundry room on-site. And enjoyed the pool.

The rooms were actually nice, the head board did get pounded against the wall most of the night. I heard about it from the neighbor the next morning and who ended up taking me to dinner the following evening. Lol

Mardi gras is a low budgeted hole in wall hotel. The elevator is a death trap! The employees are ride, and customer service is not a priority at all!! They charge $100 bucks a day including the $25 deposit fee. It used to be a nice little place to visit from time to time. Not anymore!!! Its awful! They charge enough to clean it up maybe paint? New, safer elevator with the proper paperwork for it to run. Its just sketchy and I think everyone that works there except for the security guard or on something. Very uneasy feeling. Hope they get it back to pleasant

If I could give no stars I would- Please save yourself the money and DO NOT BOOK HERE! My boyfriend and I booked online and when we arrived at the hotel, front desk was so unprofessional and rude. Terrible attitudes and no customer service. When entering the room (non smoking room) all you could smell was cigarette smoke. No shower curtain. Their were roaches all running around outside the room. Homeless people all around the area. People who were drugged out were all around the hotel sleeping on benches outside the front entrance. It is absolutely terrible. Please save your time, money, and energy. We canceled our reservation after entering the room and no money was refunded to us. I guess you pay for what you get.

They have 7 channels not even basic channels like NBC. Wifi is very slow and plug ins are loose and behind desks so makes it hard to charge phones. Price was decent and bed was ok but other than that very disappointing

Check in is at 3 p.m. and check out is 11 a.m. I would expect to pay for 24 hrs from 11 a.m.-11a.m. resort fees werent NEARLY as crazy as other hotels in the area. The area itself is close enough to Las Vegas Blvd without being directly in the action. Hotel is very dated and very clean. But you get what you pay for.

Was not a very welcoming experience when I checked in I overlooked that then I found out that I was overcharged on the deposit more than three times the standard amount I was upset and confused why would these staff treat me like this, and the room after looking it up online brought it up to the staff and was basically dismissed like I wasnt important, however the housekeeping and the bartenders and security were very helpful accommodating friendly going above and beyond their job Id like to say thank you to them I will not be returning to this establishment or extending my stay Im very disappointed with my first trip to Vegas,

The hot water in the bathroom sink is cut off for customers to use and the toilet was broken. I was promised a $50 refund towards my bill after check out, but was not given it. Very poor customer service and the only thing I liked was the room layout. Too many questionable and weird people hanged out throughout the hotel. Dont leave your kids there alone regardless of their age!

Food was good. Large room. The hotel is not far from the main street of Las Vegas Boulevard. Near McDonalds, store, gas station

Positive: The front desk staff was polite and helpful. Negative: The first room that I checked in was dirty. The blankets were stained and the toilet was broken. I complained and the front desk staff changed my first room with no hesitation. The second room was a little bit better.

The staff were courteous and friendly, except the person checking us in. He seemed like we bothered him. The breakfast was great! The room was clean.

The place was dirty complained to staff came back after room was “cleaned”. Still dirty. Complained of loud music starting at 4 am nothing was done about it. Was told that night would be 1/2 priced. Spoke with General Manager Ed who stayed he would deep clean the room. Returned late in the evening only to find out the room was never cleaned went to the office and they moved us from a king size bed to two doubles on my anniversary. Complained to Ed once again and was told first room should of never been rented out and he would comp us two nights. Only received a $50 comp. will not stay here again. And would not recommend this to anyone

Positive: Nothing to talk about. Negative: Staff were very rude and did not offer any help. Breakfast was part of the package and we did not receive any meal at all. Received bad service generally and that is the last time to stay at such a hotel.

Doesn’t even deserve a 1 Star. Absolutely aweful once we checked-in. The lady was really rude and full of attitude was absolutely rude to my SEIZURE DOG. Beds weren’t made, room smelled like cigarettes and perfume. We ended up leaving and stayed at the Luxor. Never will come back here again.

Nice hotel as per the price range. Clean and comfortable. Nice staff. Just a little far from the strip but they provide shuttle service from hotel to strip every hour.

When checking into the property the front desk gentleman in an older guy. Was very upset about something and he was slamming the telephone and cussing up a storm. The area is an ok area and not to bad but I have seen cops everywhere which is a little scary.

Nice size, comfortable.Only reason for 4 s is due to a (hidden) $25/day refundable security deposit, not many TV channels (very limited), an un-programmed TV remote (super inconvenient) and the in-room microwave was not in the room (made a 4 day+ stay more expensive food-wise due to discarding un-reheatable leftovers, etc)

Well I went down to renew my room for another night, and the clerk did something wrong on the far right register and then it kept my BoA debit card from going threw.Then on top of her screw up they werent ever going to take cash for the 25 room deposit.I even offered to put a $100 bill on it and she wasnt even trying to do nothing else and almost checked me out but i still had a little over 2 hours left on the room.So i asked her to get the manager and he came out and figured out what she did and i heard it all, she didnt even attempt to apologize afterwards and almost ran my card in the same register and i ask the manager to take over and within 45 seconds it was done.Some of the employees need to be retrained at minimum.

The room is super outdated and some things were either not functioning or broken. The pillow cases had mascara stains on them. The bed sheets smelled bad in general

I liked the space of the rooms and the fact that nobody bothered me. There was a refrigerator in one room that was broken though. I had to put a towel beneath it because it was leaking.

I had a very pleasant time here. Room was exactly like it showed for 2 Queen bed smoking room. Casino was small but not crowded. I won money there. Room was clean, no coffee in room, only a fridge. No microwaved. Beds could use replacing. The staff was super awesome. All of them. Very cozy friendly place. Ill stay there again. Only $6 a night resort fee. $25 a night deposit required. I wouldnt go out alone at night. Overall well worth the money.

My daughters and I checked in Memorial day around 8 pm and by 9 were checking out. The room stunk of mold and marijuana. I had to put a shoulder to the door just to open it. My daughter pulled back the covers of one bed and found stains, while the other saw little black bugs on the sheets. While I was running back to my car, I passed a few females out soliciting sex and a guy who offered to sell me a fix. After that I went back and got my daughters out of there. I didnt even bother discussing getting moved to another room.

The general manager Ed Brown is very rude amd disrespectful. He doesnt care about the customers or the experience they had while they was there.

My first room had a defective ac.2nd room was ok, but it faced the street, and there were people in the parking lot BLASTING rap music at all hours of the morning.There was a thick carpet of dust under the beds, and what appeared to be a smudge of blood on the wall. I was not at all confident that the room was properly sanitized.
