Great place to relax, dine, and have fun. The rooms and casino is slightly dated, but they are extremely clean. Besides, it appears they chose to keep the look from the 80s, yet it looks great and well preserved. My hotel room had a great view too.The team members are friendly and it doesnt appear as if they go through the motions with you; they are genuinely interested in interacting with you. They have a limited amount of restaurants, but the food is great along with great service, and the atmosphere is wonderful.
Very near to the Fremont Street experience... easily reachable... centrally located.A little historic with brewery of ours own. A different kind of feeling than the rest of the Casinos.Good is good. staff is nice. When we visited, it was the night before Christmas.
I have stayed here many times. The rooms are very comfortable and accommodating. The hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. The maid service is excellent! The price is very inexpensive considering the quality of the accommodations and service. Garden Court Buffet is excetional, one of the best in Vegas. In my opinion, the best considering cost! Triple 7 Restaurant and Brewery is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel casino. There is also a bridge over the street that goes right to The California Hotel.
Had an amazing time at the Main Street Station. The services available are great, the restaurant/brewery is really good and the buffet restaurant has many food options (Saturday brunch buffet). The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean and fairly well maintained. The only thing is it is very noisy, you can hear everything from outside i.e. the trains and the highway and anyone going down the hallway. We would definitely stay again though.
The best thing about our hotel is the front desk registration didnt try and up-sell us on a room. I booked a King and we got a King. We had dinner at Triple 7 and the food was horrible. We ordered the ribs and I chewed on my first and only bite for at least a minute. When we mentioned it the bartender (we sat at the bar) Richard was less than courteous and very rude, he didnt even try to accommodate us with a different meal or fresh ribs! We will stay here again, but never in that restaurant.
Ive stayed at the Main Street Station dozens of times. Its a comfortable casino with friendly staff. The high ceilings, antique chandeliers, stained glass windows, stained glass ceiling in the back, and wood paneling all give it a 19th century feel. The buffet is great, and the 777 restaurant is perfect for late night meals and snacks. Rooms are adequate--the ones facing the highway are a bit noisy and, oddly enough, the lower floors are quieter than the higher ones. Rooms facing over the casino are quieter, but you still have trains running during the night, and early morning delivery trucks. Its away from the Strip, and a short walk from Fremont Street, with an enclosed pedestrian bridge to the California Hotel and then across the street from Binions on Fremont.
The room was very generous in size - we had 2 queen beds. Loved the 2 sitting chairs and end table. Perfect for a late evening snack. Having a desk was really great. Loved the security of having to show your room cards before entering the elevator. Temperature control in the shower was a disaster. I loved the shampoo and conditioner products. In the middle of shampooing my hair, the shower water went cold and I had to jump out of the shower.
Positive: Beautiful! Negative: Not enough privacy in the room bathroom.
Great Location. Rooms are not the greatest. No coffee maker ️ Internet in rooms suck. Beautiful antiques. Bar staff was friendly. Bar stools need to be taller.
Our room was right next to the highway. It was too loud and bright too sleep. You will literally hear 100,000 cars and semis roaring over the interstate outside your window. The windows have no drapes to block light or sound. But it occurred to me that you dont come to Vegas to sleep. You stay out till 2am, party till 6am, and then repeat. So, theres no sleeping. Well, some people do sleep, and you cannot do it here. The road noise is almost as loud as shouting. Has the management ever tried to sleep in their own rooms? Not likely. The rest of the casino, bars, and restaurants are four-star. Really nice. The historical ambiance is well-done, especially the buffet. Everything is beautiful and well furnished. But that hotel room is awful. In fairness, if you get a room without a view of the interstate highway, it will be a normal 3-star room. Those rooms are nothing fancy, but at least you can sleep in them. Weve been there several times, so we know. Make sure to ask for a room that does not face the highway!
Your hotel was excellent we planned a family trip and mixed business into the stay. People are very courteous and polite. Very comfortable beds.I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
Its got its charms. Fair quality rooms that are clean and no nonsense. Its a nostalgic feeling stepping into these rooms. My one qualm was the shower head which was designed for a human no taller than 56, and its probably time for some new mattresses. The Triple 7 is a fantastic spot however, the staff is friendly, and I like that its a couple blocks from the Fremont District.
The casino is very smoky, to access valet and get to your room you have to go through the casino. From our room you can hear trains through the night. But the rooms were decent and you get what you pay for. Buffets are great though.
The hotel is a little dated but still very comfortable and in a good location. A good but maybe not great place to stay. Priced reasonably.
Room was very clean and spacious. There was also a fridge which was great! A short walk to Fremont street via the skywalk into the California casino. Definitely staying again!
I was meeting with family and they were able to put us all on the same floor which was nice. My room however, has not been upgraded. Kind of dark, and the bathroom was awful! The shower head was low and I had to duck down to get my head wet, the bath tub kept popping. It felt like I was in a boat and could have easily lost my footing. It would be dangerous for an elderly person. The rest of my family were in the upgraded rooms and they were fine.
Gotta eat at 777. Thai salad was the best salad Ive ever had. Beer sampler was really good and both were good value. Old Vegas at its finest
For the price this was an excellent hotel. The brewery was a treat. The bbq potato chips were GREAT. Location was good, especially for the short walk to other casinos.
It was excellent for our four night stay. Been here many times. Staff, front desk, baggage to and from room. Rooms well kept, great staff. Front desk took care of my United passes, I had problem with Iphone download and printing, she completed in 3-4 min. Food great at all B/fast, lunch, dinner and seafood night. We will be back.
This always my go to hotel when staying in Las Vegas. It’s close enough to everything but not too close to all the loud party people. Very safe. Security is everywhere.
Great buffet, affordable wine and ultra clean!
Excellent buffet. Here for lunch, best buffet in the downtown and certainly the best food weve had in 3 days here in Vegas. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend
About 2.5 miles away from the bigger casinos, for me much better to get away from the crazy busy center & enjoy my vacation. Good food, decent buffet with other very nice or not so nice places if you choose to go to all nearby. If it gets too much you can retreat back to the hotel or want more excitement the busier (crowded) places r a short taxi ride away.
We checked in about an hour after check in time and the room they put us in had no shower curtain, towels, and toiletry items. I had to call the front desk to fix these items. The carpeting was torn up and the beds were uncomfortable. They were advertised as queen size but they seemed smaller. The shower was the worst. There was no way adjusting it to the right temp. It was either freezing cold or scalding hot. We got a really good deal but our stay at Golden Nugget for not much more was 100% better. The food is the only thing Ill say is the best about Main Street. They have a fantastic brunch buffet and their brew pub had great service, good appetizers, and a great beer sampler. We will return for the brunch but will not stay overnight.
MSSH was used as a stop over for a few hours before flight. Firstly the staff are great, check in/out went well with no hiccups. All my questions were answered. The ground floor lobby, casino, buffet etc. looked marvellous. On the other hand my room was well used and dated and because of that the room didnt seem clean or welcoming.
Good food with great service. Very affordable price. Glad we came here after the important day.
The water did not warm up. Shower pressure low. Wallpaper peeling. Was not cleaned well. Liked the location
For dinner in the brewery. Phantastic steaks.
I liked all services and staff rooms were very cleand clise to everything..Very convenient!
This place is a 3 as far as rooms are concerned..the shower head looked as if it was falling apart and the bathroom had hair on the toilet..it was just sitting there but it looked like it was stuck/baked on thr toilet. The buffet made up for it. It was really great
Cool architecture and decor, very hard to find stuff like this in Las Vegas.
Used to love this place. It was one of the nicer, cleaner, and more affordable hotels downtown, with great food offerings. However, there seems to be a trend in downtown Las Vegas to try and imitate the Strip. Rooms are getting more expensive, food and drinks are pricier, and parking is no longer free. The only problem is that if I wanted all that, I would cut to chase and go to the Strip, where things are still more polished and nicer. Main Street Station is still one of the nicer hotels downtown. If youve never been, I would highly recommend a visit just to check out the interior of the building. However, I do feel that the buffet and the 777 brewpub have gone downhill with the food quality in the last couple of years.
I like the old style wood look of the interior. rooms are nice sized the only thing i would like to see added is a coffee shop
Hotel, casino, restaurants and bars were all great. The only downfall was the noise from the freeway and train, at night, BUT the location made up for it. We would definitely stay here again.
Probably the best hotel Ive ever stayed at. The staff were very friendly and couldnt help me enough. The room was very clean and modern looking. Book your stay here!
It would be nice to see staff wiping down slot machines and other surfaces.
We placed very close to the elevator which made it easy for us. Since our knee hurts when we walk at a distance.
The food her was pretty good. Kind of a hidden place but worth coming here. The wait staff is kind of slow but its typically packed so its understandable.
Buffet was pretty good i was actually surprized very clean and good flavor it tasted better than it looked looked small but it was a whole nother side i would for sure return if you have a card u get a little discount
Great place, nice atmosphere and Advantage rent a car on site.
Positive: Honestly, Nothing. Negative: The beds were incredibly hard, the pillows might as well have been cardboard boxes. The bathtub leaked all night, the shower only had BURNING HOT and FREEZING COLD settings. The food at this place was the worst food I have ever had.
Very dated interior of rooms. Shower heads designed for people four feet tall c
Great casino. Not huge. Clean. Historic
The bar the best all-you-can-eat buffet that I found all-you-can-eat prime rib tonight was delicious. Also serving tamales enchiladas rice beans Pizza and a dessert by this outstanding.
It’s our go-to hotel when we visit Las Vegas due to friendly and courteous staff, convenient location to our favorite snack store, larger rooms for the price, and old style feel.
The property was in a great location. It was walking distance from the downtown strip. The staff was very friendly.
Liked the decor which was old fashioned wood. Parking was easy to get to .
Confused by resort fee charge pool closed because on weather why not just quote price with fee. Still a good deal
We have to give this hotel 5 plus stars.we stayed here 5 days 4 nights price was easy on pocket book.staff were so nice and helpful plus won money several times during our stay easy to get around.and I have severe copd and got so worn out walking.the bellhop got us set up with a scooter mobilized. Worth the 75.00 for three days made our trip more fun we got to get out and do so much more .and the buffet was so beyond great food was so good hot .and the staff for hotel and restaurant and casino were friendly helpful and nice.thank u main street for a wonderful vacation.
While not on the typical list of 5 star hotels, this is the real deal. If you want a taste of old Las Vegas, and affordable rates, this is your place. We have stayed countless times for weeks at a time, and love it. The buffett is the best in town, the staff is friendly, the decor excellent.
Probably one of my favourite casinos of the ones we visited. The decor is antiquated but it really adds to the feel and gives you vibes of an older, more genuine Las Vegas. What’s also nice is that the prices are still somewhat reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
My was dirty, carpet, under bed, beddings need to be upgraded toilet stained, carpet was not vacuumed, it definitely was not worth what i had to pay. Will not stay at your hotel again.check my rm 326
4 Stars Main Street Casino & Hotel Keeping America Great with this very preserved original establishment, one of the best buffet specials in town just $10 All u can eat lunch with players card.
Super delicious food. Burgers look like pressed patty but meat is done fresh. Sweet potato Ff were wonderful. Pulled pork was ok but onion rings were really good. Will come again.
I absolutely love the atmosphere and look of this old and beautifully kept casino! The food is great and plentiful and a bargain at the wonderful prices! Most of the reviews Ive seen say they are around $28, I paid $17 for the prime rib (Tuesday) and came back for the excellent breakfast the next day ($10). I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
Positive: Hotel was old but clean and the check in staff was professional and helpful Negative: Check out staff needs a lesson on being professional, we asked staff member to call for a cab to the airport and staff member reluctantly did so, 25 minutes later we asked to check on the status of our cab and was told they would not do so.
Excellent service from desk maids bellman great food love it ju
Very strange oldschool eclecticly decorated casino. Solid drinks service and average dealers. The rooms need some updating and some sound insulation. The shower is very old and disgusting, the rest of the room is acceptable. You can hear all the noise from the highway and the trains, a white noise machine was not enough to drown it out. Shoutout for these guys not charging a resort fee, at least when I stayed.
Good choice of slot machines, good payouts, great buffet
What a great day playing games here, lost everything, had fun.
Great local beer and the Prime Rib is a must and cant beat the price!! The hotel is quaint. Feels like youve traveled back in time!
Id like to give a big shout-out to Henry one of the guards at Main Street Station he showed me around to the different antiques of Interest and I was even able to see part of the Berlin Wall! Very amazing day!
Nice place to stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of the STRIP. The buffet is very good with a great selection. The dessert bar is well stocked. and I really like the coffee. Prices are reasonable especially if you have coupons. Very close to the Fremont St. Experience...Not to be missed. Its free and a really GOOD lite show under a large outdoor canopy...
Staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay
The buffet is good and cheap! A good place to eat breakfast.
I booked my stay online for a special rate of 17 dollars per nite and because i needed two beds the rate jumped up to 32 dollars a nite. So why advertise one price and charge another? To me thats false advertisement and will not stay there again.
I especially liked the old fashioned woodwork. It looked like 1919 instead of 2019.
Did Thanksgiving buffet arrived 450pm waited an hour line was so long. Prime rib was good. Theyd run out of crab stuffed salmon by time I arrived. Good Chinese section. Pork loin was good. Ton of people getting food was like walking around in LA traffic. Good side dishes & good desserts. Place was jam packed they validate parking for 4 hrs.
The room was clean, but the noise was obtrusive. Not only was the construction outside obtrusive and evident all night.... the train ran frequently and was loud. The a/c stopped and we had tho cal for service on it. Other than basic tv, a movie was $ 12.99 each and internet was $9.99 per day, each phone, tablet. Etc. These charges all are added costs you might not expect in a higher cost hotel. I would choose to stay down on the strip, where you sre in a better area.
This is a hotel in decline. Maintenance, and food quality is going down rapidly and the staffs attitudes are poor.
Like staying here because the location is great and the atmosphere is great.
We have lived in Vegas for about 1.5 years now, somehow we overlooked the Main Street casino. The casino and hotel lobby are beautiful, I just loved the front desk. Everything is old and kept up, very ornate. I thought at first it was a non smoking casino, I had to look around to find someone smoking. The buffet was excellent, there was not one thing we had that wasnt good. The wait staff was on top of everything, we waited for nothing. If I had one bad word to say, they stamped our buffet recipt with the word gratuity? If we didnt tip, would it have said cheap a$$? Not sure..
This was a perfect location. It was a great experience to stay there. This was our second time and nothing had change, good staff and comfy beds. Thanks it was great.
Loved it there very good service and food. Great price, too!!
The buffet is not good, the hotel is old fashioned it looks kinda cool but the games are old, we lost hundreds here did not win not one time (which is weird) it’s a very old crowd, the drinks did not taste good and if your hotel room key doesn’t work it will take you 30 mins to get into your room, we wouldn’t stay here again!
Worst casino I have ever visisted for table games. Rude staff who doesnt have sny customer service engagement. I should have gotten names. I asked simply how on should play a game and I was told to look it up. Constantly getting harassed to show my ID after playing for 5 hours at various tables after already showing it once. Being told chip protection was my obligation if i stepped away from the table (to stretch or pee) and being given no middle ground. Im not from vegas so i try to be friendly and ask politely what i can do simce i am a paying patron. Never coming here again. I walked away from various tables due to the way the staff enagaged me. Never will i reccomend or come here again.
We stay here July 13-17 . Our stay was perfect . I had originally planned to stay at the Fremont hotel, but Fremont overbooked and move us here .I was upset about it, but I am so glad thats we come here . Everyone is super nice and friendly . Our room was very clean. I was very surprised thats even though you can smoke in this hotel . You could not smell smoke through out the hotel. I will plan my next trip here .
Positive: Great location, good food choices, like the self park option. Negative: Would love to have coffee in room or available, especially since there is a resort fee. Not sure what makes this a resort, I do not feel there are any additional amenities added since they have started charging a resort fee.
$19.20 resort fee (08/2019). The buffet is the best downtown, the food at the 777 restaurant is good and priced right. Just DONT play their video BJ machines theyre rigged in their favor. The google description says Modern which is completely inaccurate its an old-style Vegas hotel.
The buffet was excellent as far as buffets go. The casino was a blast and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I just wish the waitress couldve made her way to me quicker and more often.
This is the poorest excuse for a hotel actual staff friendly but there management is something else. traveled with family so I brought my kid I booked a non smoking room with 2 queen beds and when I arrived I was told my room was not available and would have to settle for smoking I complained to there so called person in charge he basically said he would refund me and find another hotel after we drove 300 miles on a sat stay away from this s..t hole it’s a scam hospitality is not in this casinos dictionary
Great Place with large beds, recommended!
Signed up for a players card to receive Buffet discount coupons. Parking seemed a little odd, having both a free parking area and a pay parking garage. It was more convenient to park in the free area. Great chicken tenders in the restaurant. Casino is average for the area. Hotel lobby is decorated and welcoming. Good theme. Not to be confused with other Station casinos (Palace Station, ect.) Entirely different company/ownership
We checked in Sunday, September 9, 2018 approximately at 2:30 pm and were told nicely that our room which is an accessible room... accessible room is a room that is easy for disabled people to enter and leave. The accessible rooms have wider doorways to the bedroom and bathroom)... going to take about 45 min to an hour before it would be ready. The front desk clerk confirmed my cell number with me and said that they would call when the room was ready. So, we waited in the lobby with a bunch of other folks who checked in after us. After 1 1/2 hours of waiting we went up to check with the front desk and checked to see how much longer it would take. They said about 1 more hour and they would call us. Fortunately, we had family who just flew in earlier that morning to Vegas and said we could store our personal items in there room while we go out to eat. We were at dinner with our family when I receive a phone call at 7:20 pm that our room was ready. Almost 5 hours it took to get our room ready! Granted, 4:00 pm is the official check in time but, if its going to be longer than an hour or two then give us a straight and honest answer. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment. It is interesting to note that I got this prompt for me to comment How was my stay at the Main Street hotel Casino, before even getting to our room. I hope this will help the hotel operations team to prevent and resolve any future problems from happening.
Not what it used to be. No handicap bathroom near the check in desk. Needs remodeling. Security just stood over me when I sat down to make sure I was playing which made me uncomfortable... especially since I put a $100 bill in the machine. Was just an odd experience overall. Doubtful I will go back there.
Horrible experience, wish i could rate it 0 stars. The head of security was super rude and he told my brother whom was shuffling some cards that THE CASINO GAVE HIM: NO, GET OUT, IF YOU DONT LEAVE RIGHT NOW ILL GET YOU ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING. If you like getting yelled at and being threatened against, come here, the discrimination is free.(it was the first time my brother had ever went into that casino, and he got banned for absolutely no reason at ALL).
Try the 777 bar and grill for great sushi and craft brews! The rest of the casino is okay.
They have a lot of games and the layout is easy to get around in. I have a scooter I push myself on and it was easy to get myself around in there. The bartenders were very friendly and quick. The best out of 8 or so casinos we went into to. They have 2 horse racing gambling machines (the reason for our visit.) Well be going there every visit from now on because they were so fun & AMAZING service.
Had lunch at the great buffet here. Only $11. Wow!! Felt like old Vegas was back. There was a lot of food options on a large buffet. Better than average quality and decent service. Cant beat the price. Very good.
Really love this place. Great eats great price.
The price was reasonable and the restaurants close by served inexpensive dining options.
This hotel isn’t even worth $20 a night. Embarrassingly bad staff and property.
I love this place. The casinos and gift shops are wonderful. Have never eaten here but I am sure that is wonderful also. I am part of a red hat group that attends a military luncheon in one of the out buildings and we are always treated so great. So next time you are here go check it out. I dont think you will be disappointed.
The staff was very nice and informative. The hotel decor is pretty awesome it looks like an old train station. The price for the room and location is great. They do require a refundable deposit. The room is quite spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The room is older but is super clean and goes with the train station theme. There is an old train car outside as well. It is in walking distance of the Fremont activities. The buffet was great with a good price.
At first it was accommodating and beds were so comfy. The next morning ruined our stay with this place completely. We do NOT recommend staying here. Spend your money on a hotel that is actually deserving of your service.
The buffet was pretty good for the price. We got through the line quick. Our waitress was fantastic! I enjoyed the fried chicken and Chinese food. I dont recommend the corn bread or green beans though, they were both too overdone for my taste. My favorite part about the main street was the decor though. Very cool Victorian theme with intricate details. I never noticed them before my visit today. Totally worth the look.
Most of the hotels downtown are dated and look the part and Main Street is no exception. However, this shouldnt distract from the fact that this particular hotel really pulls off the rustic look and its actually quite nice. The prices for the rooms are fantastic, probably because youre slightly off the main Fremont area of the Las Vegas downtown area. Not a big deal if you can handle a five minute walk though. Overall service was great and the breakfast buffet on weekends is amazing. The 777 restaurant is open until 7a and makes an excellent cuban sandwich (which for some reason is hard to find in Las Vegas).
Ive had some buffets in Las Vegas, but I have to say hands down this is the best buffet you can get for your moneys worth I believe I paid $26 per person a little bit less. This buffet included a little of everything. This buffet was fresh, clean with great hospitality and well worth the ride to come back and get from the strip, and nothing I could complain about in this Buffet. from collard greens cornbread Two Italian, dessert, and from Fried Chicken, a Carving Station, dessert, and a salad bar. This my 4 star buffet from what I have visited so far in Vegas sadly to say no crab legs. ..
Lets start with the environment. Beautiful inside, every inch of it. Quite impressive for an off strip Casino/hotel. If visiting for the restaurant parking is free if validated, we were able to have ours validated at the cashier on the casino floor. Once validated we were told it was good for 4 hours. There is a walkway to their sister property on the other side of Main street. At the 777 restaurant we were seated quickly, the staff was extremely courteous, and the food was overall quite good. The crab artichoke dip was a unique treat & the house/ microbrew beers were reasonably priced. The sweet potato fries were perfectly salted and didnt have added sugar or cinnamon like some restaurants are guilty of. My only criticism of the food would be that the meat in our dishes was relatively flavorless.(pulled pork in Hawaiian sliders & grilled chicken in spouses club sandwich). The overall dishes were delicious but the meat left something to be desired tasting like it was boiled in plain water. Overall I was happy with my experience and if I was to be in the area without meal plans I would definitely stop in again.
