Very well maintained park. My only recommendation is that signs are posted asking pedestrians to stay off the bike lane and/or to stay to the left side of the pedestrian trail in order to give bike riders ample room to maneuver.

North Central is my favorite park. The fact that its close by my house is a plus, too! I love taking my energetic dogs for longs walks on the trails or let them enjoy themselves at the large dog park. My husband and I also love to longboard here in the evenings. Currently Im enjoying 6am walks with a buddy of mine. Its so peaceful! The current Parks crew does a great job in keeping it clean and well maintained, and I love that currently the Parks and Rec department are offering bike rentals for your family Monday through Saturday!

North Central Park is my go to park :) there’s plenty of things to do here. It has a dog park for small and large dogs, playground for children, a pond, disc golf course, and lots of trail to walk, run, and bike! I love the fact that it looks a little different at every turn, so runs don’t get boring. There are plenty of benches for resting. A few picnic tables. Electric scooters. Trash cans and pet waste baggie stations to keep it beautiful. Park has water fountains that are height friendly and pet friendly. Restrooms are clean most of the time but not always. Over all, park is clean and feels safe. Today, the fire department was there by the parking lot (thought they were out doing a practice drill but not 100% sure.)

A bit of exploring, a bit of exercise, a bit of peace. Wish it was a bit cleaner (come on people!) But its expansive enough to play all sorts of play and you can find peaceful spots,too! Safe during the day (not sure about night time) with water fountains and restrooms. A few pits for barbecuing and easy parking.

Love this park. Plenty of trails to walk ether follow the paved or in the unpaved walkway. Just keep an eye out to for the flying disks or frisbee if you go off the paved walkway. Plenty of trash cans and water fountains for both yourself and our furry friends. There are even doggie poop bags with coresponding trash cans to pick up after your pet. (But it seems not many people use them) Ive only walked half of the park. havent crossed the street to explore the other part but Im looking forward to it.Got to walk the other half of the park. Its nice, clean and peacaeful. Just no water fountains or benches like the main side of the park. So be prepared if you decide to take little ones this far.

Great place to walk, jog, run, take your dog or just sit and enjoy. Trees are growing fast. Soon the trees will give lots of shade for those hot summer months. Laredo finally has parks for citizens of all ages to enjoy, very pleased! People please keep your dogs on a leash.

I would say the trails level are easy with gentle hills that provide an enjoyable experience for runners of all skill levels. The trail can be accessed year-round. You can cover up to 5 miles without going on circles.

What can I say. Im just grateful that Laredo has some where reasonably nice to walk. Unfortunately, people are not very dilligent about cleaning up after their dogs. If you are not going to clean up, stay away and dont mess things up for everyone else.

Great dog park. Just keep your dog on a leash until you know for sure it is able to be around other dogs! Its common sense!

Its a very natural park (plenty of vegetation) with recreational areas for all sorts of age groups; they even have a bench and a monument for lovers! We took our pet to the very useful Dog Park small and large breed areas— I look at the stars with my CELESTRON

This park was used as the location for a 5k run/walk. It was a good location. I found the park to be well attended and clean. The day lent for a day to walk.

Great family friendly park, great place to jog, bike ride or just go for a stroll. Dog friendly. Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Restrooms available. Creek flows into small pond. Fishing is allowed at pond. Doggy park available as well.

I recently started walking and this was the first time I came to North Central Park. I loved it. The trails are kept nice and clean and great for walking and jogging. I had a great work out, the park is really nice and the guests who visit mostly stay to themselves, but the people I did interact with were friendly. It is a nice area for the community.

North Central Park in Laredo is an excellent place for many outdoor activities by yourself or with friends and family. The park is big enough for long walks/ runs and is ready to be used as practice for those type of Spartans runs. Some sections have childrens playgrounds. The main entrance has big enough restroom facilities for both genders. Pets are welcome and also have a playground area. There is a also a public pool. You cant go wrong for a picnic or a walk.

Nice park. It was nice and clean, and a good option for runners. The only thing I didnt like was that the playground is really small, I have seen nicer/bigger playgrounds in Laredo, with so many nice neighborhoods around I thought they may have more stuff for the kids. I did however love that they have a mini library there.

I love the large stretch of land devoted to this park. The running is awesome and the pullup-bars come in handy. The water fountains allow for my dog to drink too. Also it has a bicycle track. More parks like this in Laredo please!

Love just taking a walk after a long day or after a date

This is a beautiful park! So why only a 3? Where oh where is the dog park?? There are no signs, no maps, so where is it ? Pull to the back of the pool parking, get out and walk straight back into the park from there. Its about 1/4 mile in.Keep in mind there is no water available for the puppies.

Great place to play disc golf with friends, walk in the park at night on a date, play in the playground for kids, or just try out the courses for the mud race. I have had many great memories here with the people I love, and its the only place Id go to just to create these fond memories.

This trail is like nothing else in laredo. The ponds you walk by and over are beautiful. If youre lucky, you will get to see a deer or 2 or three lol. If youre not so lucky, youll see the skunk lol. But that was closer to the mcpherson area by Golds Gym.

Nice park thats always improving, I give it four stars because there does seem to be construction going on so it never does feel finished. But theres a pool, a great trail, and disc golf.

Very nice and cozy place. Has a large track to walk around on, so thats very nice. Some races are held here, so be aware of your surroundings when those go on.

Best trail Ive been on in Laredo

Used to run here years ago before they even paved the trails. Its a great run/walk and theyve added new things and areas over the years. Got a disc golf course, dog park, swimming/lap pool, racket ball courts and several parks. Water fountains are not always easy access and bathrooms are only at the entrance, so keep that in mind. I missed this place.

The place is nice but the place needs attention the play ground was too much muddy

A nice park with trails for a very pleasant walk. The trail is paved, but some areas do get muddy and have standing water after it rains. Its not a big deal though, you can walk around the puddles for the most part. The side (dirt) trails make for nice and interesting sights of deer and birds. Theres a bathroom, plenty of trash cans and water fountains. Theres also a pond where you can fish and release. Its a peaceful site to rest if necessary. And lastly, there is a dog park for small and regular sized dogs.

The enclosed dog play area for large dogs is fill of dog poop. If people cant clean up after their pets... Then the city should have some there every morning to clean. Or perhaps have some there to hand out fines to the owners for not cleaning up after their pets. I will not return and will tell everyone I come in contact not to go out there. In the center it is like a swamp and a breeding place for mosquitoes

Poorly designed. Terrible playground equipment. Decent walking/biking trials. Trash everywhere, but thats just Laredo for you. It could be an amazing park if the used their resources better. They have a recently built swim complex at the front with a full staff with no one swimming. Maybe task some of that staff to clean p the park instead of sitting around an empty pool. Apportion some funds to build playground equipment suitable for small children (1 to 3) and some additional equipment for kids (3-6) with rubber floor instead of wood chips. Get rid of the disc golf course. Pull up the equipment and move it to the park over on Barret St. Typically disc golf courses arent built on top of walking parks.

I wish they refilled the dog waste bags. Maybe then there would be less dog $#!+ every where. Its an nice place for a jog/walk. The park has an extension accessible across San Isidro Parkway available by crosswalk or can park at other parking lot down the street. Nice small kids play area, volleyball, and basket ball court. No shaded areas though.

Perhaps the best paved trails our city has to offer, some local art, well lit, dog friendly and great place for cycling early and late night, especially on weekends. But do expect there to be much more walkers during weekday evenings. There is a bike trail trail marked now so be polite cruizin by.

A great to have a great walk, so take plenty of water, since the trail is huge.
