Great place to run, walk and bike in an enclosed park. It has a splash pad with pool which is currently closed due to pandemic. Plenty of space to social distance.

Super cool park with walking trail, fishing pond (catch and release only), soccer field, basketball court, a great view or airplanes taking off or landing, a pool and play area- (that usually opens up most of the summer and i think weekends too). Really nice place to take kids to do any type of outside activity. We happened to go after a really big storm and we got to see some frogs that the kids chased around ducks and a bunch of fish. Will definitely be going back to take the kids for more fun adventures.

Great park with typical basketball courts, several soccer fields, and a paved trail for walking, jogging or a bike ride. Also has a playground for kids with a wheelchair swing, and a small pond with ducks and turtles, where you may also fish. It even has a small, fenced in dog agility course.

Love that its open, big, has a pond, let you borrow bikes (hopefully people learn to take better care of them) and most of all clean.

Spectacular park. The grounds are for runners – perfect for those 1 mile long runs/jogs. Very peaceful surroundings and this park is always updating its environmental amenities, such as adding more park beaches and trees.

Very nice complex. Still being worked on. Once they finish, it will be fanstatic. Its got a swimming pool with water games for children, a basketball court, a play area with swings, an amphi theater with stone seats, a lake or pond, soccer courts, walking trails with benches with plenty of parking. A quiet place to go, sit and relax and watch the geese swim in the pond or go about and excercise.

Its a nice place to run or walk. The only thing is that there was a good amount of people and even though you are outside, it is important to social distance and wear a mask.

This is a great park. It has plenty of parking spaces and many activities for you and your family to do. Its a very big park so it is easy to social distance from other during these difficult and scary times. The one negative is that park is situated right next to busy road, so chances are you are breathing in the smog from cars. Overall nice park and would recommend for everyone to check it out for themselves. PS there is a small pond for fishing ad well :)

Please we need bathrooms open I go at 6:00a.m and I got to see an elderly lady who could not hold and was crying because she had pooped on her pant and was ashamed to walked back to her car when she was almost half way the mile I gave her my jacket and walked her to her car plz. its a beautiful park I love it .

I give the location a 5/5 but my goodness change the name. Bartlett Soccer Complex sounds amazing. The new name El Progreso Park doesnt fit well together. Progress Park or Parke El Progreso would have been a much better choice. Hopefully the next park gets a better name than this joke of a name.

Better than north central because of the spread out layout of everything and people can properly social distance.

Good public park, theres a soccer field, dog park, basketball court, a small childrens play ground, a small pond, a pool (but its still on lockdown) and a side walk that rings around the entire park, great place to walkAs of mask, I did see some people with masks and some without, there are no strict rules on mask requirements

Nice and clean. Theres a whole bunch of cute little turtles in the pond the kids enjoy feeding. Good for bike riding with the family.

The fishing pond is a mess, I tried all bait and all I caught were pieces of netting with severely rusted stakes. How can they call this a fishing pond if there is really nothing to catch but garbage in the water?

Went to see the tunnel of lights. It was cute. Would like to see the walk areas have light displays all over the park. Businesses could sponsor a display or two along the bike/walk trail. What a neat festive activity for next years holiday.

This park has certainly improved. I was impressed on how it has a lot to offer for the entire family. The only thing I was quite disappointed was the way the new playground was designed. It is quite high for little ones to be able to reach to the top and slide on their own. Adult supervision is always recomended but when using that playground it is imperative an adult is present at all times to avoid any accidents.

Not very well kept, people dont follow directions or rules alot of people without masks.

I appreciate the way its coming along, I believe it will become something great in times coming..

Features include lot of trail, a pool, basketball courts, pond, dog park, playground, workout equipment, and soccer fields. Pet baggie stations are usually always running low. I carry mine when I come here because they’re usually empty when I come. I’ve stepped on poop a few times right after picking up after my dog

Love the place, its always very clean. If you plan on paying use cash. They accept card, but seem to have issues with the system. There isnt anything to do for small children other than a small playground. My son takes karate and even though the class is small he really likes his teacher and the price for the service is perfect for my budget.

The Christmas Light show was amazing. I got some really good family pictures and some awesome memories

This is a great recreational park in the Laredo area. Love the fact is has a pond and that you can walk, ride a bike, fish ( catch and release only), soccer complex, it has a pool area, basketball courts and even has a garden area. This is awesome!!!

The Bartlett Soccer Complex is well lit, has a swimming pool, newly added basketball court, a designated bicycle lane, and a lane to walk/jog or run. Also, the outdoor gym is a just another great way to keep healthy and workout. They host soccer games and family events like movies outdoors. It is a relaxing place just to visit and sit around the man made lake. There is catch and release fishing, as well. It i is ideal to take your pets on a leash and walk them. Just dont forget to clean up after them.

Great place to exercise

I love the place and how the life guards are keepinv a good eye on the kids. But that doesnt mean to not take care of your little ones because the older kids tend to bully them when they are in the slide. Ones u advice the lifeguards they usually take care if it but they wont know if you dont tell them. One down side is u cant take food or drinks inside the gates only water bottles but they do give a 30 min break to go out and get something. I love how they have the section seperated the little kids stay in there pool area and a wall divider divides the 4 feet tall pool for older kids or adults. Kids pool is a brachb entrance that goes up to 3 feet. Tnere is about 4 life guards rotating. Restroom is always clean and always has toilet paper. Also they DONT accept $20 or higher keep that in mind. NON-Cotton clothing required if swiMming i saw a couple of boy kids be told to remove their shirts because they were cotton. Preferably wear a bathing suit.

I had the most awesome afternoon at the park, I love the peaceful and tranquility .You can enjoy walking, running,bicycle riding, basketball,soccer, exercise and fishing.And you can just sit at the benches looking at the beautiful pond it has.And it has shades all around the pond too.I just love going out there to get a breather and get some stress and anxeity of my shoulders.You must go and get to know the park, I guarantee youll fall in love with the beauty God has to offer you.

Fun place to workout on your own. Plenty of people that group up and go together. I usually run into a friend or coworker. There is a nice quiet small pond in the middle of the circuit to relax or fish-and-release. There is also a small workout station next to the lake along the path. Best times to go is after 7 when there is the most people and the sun isnt as intense.

Mile long track in a scenic area. Enjoy the view of airliners take off and land as you get your cardio kick. Pool and water features for the kids. Was disappointed there was no pond like in the pictures...

Nice small park. Benches by the park (with shade) for family outings. The kids love the friendly ducks. A parks and recreation pool is in operation. Check for hours. Jogger, walker, and cyclist friendly paths. Leashed dogs allowed but dont forget to pick up doggie mess. A few soccer fields that can get muddy in the rainy season. Overall, this is a safe (just watch for the muddy Dutch cross which can get slippery), family-friendly park to enjoy sports activities, exercise, fishing (forgot to mention the catch and release pond!), relaxing, or meditating.

Soccer complex in a hole, retention pond? Absolutely no amenities, rocks all over the fields. Seems like a hazardous place to play any type of sport. Not sure what they were thinking when they made it. There is however a nice little lake adjacent to the soccer fields.

Its a really great place to go exercise or just hang out. The pond is really nice, and theres benches around it to chill at. Also the bathrooms here are ACTUALLY CLEAN and well kept!! Its my favorite park.

Its lit. The only problem I have with it is how dull it can be at Times. Like for me when Im doing my daily routine I get bored cause I see the same view each time. I know that this place is for exercising but at least make it colorful or something.

Beautiful park to visit and be with the family

My family and I visited the Barlett public pool over Labor day weekend. Upon on arriving, the staff had asked everyone to remain outside out of the pool due to possible lightning in the area.While that was appreciated, it was very poorly executed, with teenage workers tasked with the responsibility of deciding whether to keep the pool open or not. My family and I waited at the only open table we were able to find, the teenage staff were all watching movies on their computers and phones, while one kept watch. At some point he exclaimed, whoa, did you all see that? I think I saw one (lightning).The storm itself was very much in the horizon, with no evident harm in the area. About 20 mintues into our arrival, I over heard the staff say they would be keeping the pool closed an additional 10 minutes. It was then that I made the comment that I had been not seen a strike the entire time I had been sitting there, so they opened it soon after.Overall the facilities and pool are very clean. Unfortunately the 10 or more staff members that were present took up at least 3 or 4 of the tables that were meant for customers. There is a sign that says no outside food or drinks, yet there were were huge stacks of pizza boxes from staff who were eating. There was no visible adult supervisor found on site. I give this business this particular rating due to how poorly it is run, it has great potential once this issue is addressed.

Really nice place to come jog at in the morning. Theres a swimming pool nearby, I believe they have water aerobics classes and track swimming but Im not 100% sure.

The City of Laredos feeble attempt of making a park and scamming its taxpayers. Its a water retention pond that floods every time there is significant rain.
