Hyperspace Arcade is so 80s, it feels like a hermetically sealed, mint condition relic ! Its huge, with every kind of game, killer music, and a late night vibe you cant find almost anywhere anymore. This would be the BEST place to bring an 80s themed party, or even just a couple good friends. Honestly, this place deserves to last decades as a slice of an era to be tasted by the nerds of each new generation. How historical!
I went for my birthday and I had a great time. I wanted somewhere to relax and play some classic games and I got what I wanted. It was dark and wasnt overrun with overbearing music and flashy lights like most modern arcades are nowadays.I love the flat rate and I think the price is fair. These old arcade games are expensive to maintain, especially for how old they are, so I dont mind the prices. I wish there was more pinball games but knowing how expensive they are to buy and maintain, theyd probably take a heavy loss if they included more pinball games without charging you more.If youre coming to experience some classic games that dont exactly want to focus on playing over and over, I suggest the 2 hour option because I just about played every game in about an hour and a half. But if you come with some buddies and play against each other, I suggest buying the day pass for you can find yourself playing for ages against each other due to not having to count quarters.I definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back. It was nice to find a place that had a nice selection of games and wasnt attached to a bar.
Love this place! So many of the games i grew up with, and some Id never seen. Consistently play music from the same period. They even sell Tab cola!
My son loved every minute at that place. DJs play electronic music which he is really into .. just about every old school game you can think of on free play you just pay an hour at a time.If youre in from out of town like we were you should definitely definitely check it out.
Place was super chill, had a great dj tonight and is a great place to bring a gamer date ;) or chill with friends. Open till 4pm the night I went which is cool if you want somewhere to relax and stay up.
Everyone loves to bring that classic arcade feel back. Been coming here years and will keep doing so. Play unlimited arcade games all day for a cheap entrance fee. Huge selection on games too. They even have console games to bring the kids.
Picture a shed like building filled with games. Tons of vintage games only one pinball machine was working. We were definitely done after 2 hours! Id go again but only pay for an hour or two.
Awesome arcade that brought back a lot of nostalgia from my Childhood. Highly reccommend this place to families & any video game junkie alike. I would give 5 stars if you guys invested in a bigger sign to make the place easier to find. Other then that the place is great!
I went there today as a date night with my hubby and I have got to say it has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time! Endless game selections that were challenging as well as fun. We were able to jam out to the music while playing games and it was at a comfortable enough volume that we could still hear each other. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable and answered every question I had since I had never visited before. Definitely will be back.
Gorf was my favorite! Not as many vector games as I had hoped. Dragons lair, and Space Ace absent. About 1/3 of machines out of order, although alot of doubles of the same machine. A cocktail version was usually available of the offline game. Should be able to get through the collection in few hours. It is a shame it is a shell of what it used to be.
We really enjoyed our visit! At first we were a little concerned because it was hard to find if you didnt know what you were looking for. Then we went in and the woman at the desk seemed grumpy with no greeting or real explanation of how things worked. It caused us to almost leave but we stayed for an hour and got to play lots of games. In the front were a few pin ball games that werent working and a few TVs with consoles like a super Nintendo and a 64. In the back were some table video games and the rest. Unfortunately there were lots of broken down games some I had really hoped to play. We hope to return again with our kiddo.
I visited this place about 4 months ago with my roommates as was charmed. The only downside is that for me personally, I am more interested in the pinball games than the classics. I was finished after an hour, but my other roommate was determined to keep playing until they closed. Love the atmosphere and games, Ill be visiting again.
Really enjoy coming here every few weeks. Like walking back in to Tilt from when I was a kid. Lots of fun, classic old school video games. From ones everyone used to play, to some of the more obscure forgotten classics. The one price, unlimited play is a great.concept. Just because I like video games, doesnt mean I am good at them. I would be spending much more in quarters if I had to pay for each game.My kids love it to. At 7 and 9, they love the classic arcade games more than playing X-Box at home. One day we were there about 6 hours and they still didnt want to leave.Fun, low key, laid back old school fun.As a monthly excursion, worth the drive from Parker.
$12 to play all day! They have lots of arcade games, they have them all listed on their website. I personally enjoyed the old classic ones. Spend like 4-5 hours there and lost track of time I was having so much fun. Highly recommend, definitely returning.
Awesome place, always have different cabinets out to try. The day pass is a good value if you want to play some games, do some sightseeing, and then come back for some more retro classics.
This place is great. Loved it. $14 per person for unlimited play? Yes! If I’d have been using quarters I’d have spent at least twice that. Huge selection of games and the vast majority were available for play. My sons also loved this arcade. It was one of their favorite parts of our trip to Denver. :)
All the games where fun and exciting. Seems like a cool laid back place. Very clean very fun. Nice music nice retro games. Pinball machines cost a quarter but thats it. Theres also another area where you can play console games like Nintendo and other retro consoles. For 13 dollars its an amazing place.
If you like arcade games, go here! I know people really like the one up in Denver (because it serves alcohol) but Hyperspace is cheaper and it has old school arcade games, pin ball & gaming systems! My boyfriend and I tried it out on a whim one day and we’ll always go back now! Too much fun! Only down side is it doesn’t serve alcohol but they do sell snacks and soda.
Wow, an ARCADE. In this era??? And they have so many cool games. My dad and I come here occasionally, and we always have a good time. Unfortunanely, theyre closing down soon, and they got rid of the pinball games. I would suggest coming here when you can though, its a wonderful experience.
Solid arcade. Total flashback with many old school games and a couple Pinball machines too!Bonus is the great selection of console games. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Arguing with your customers in front of your customers is a big mistake. Your customers now know that you cant handle yourself when you get caught scamming customers!Fellow customers, when you walk in to this place, notice the big sign over the counter that reads, All games are on unlimited free play. If he didnt want to swindle customers he would remove the false advertisement! The short guy behind the counter with the beard is the owner. He likes to lie about it so he can be a total douchbag. By the way, aside from getting screwed the placed is pretty cool.My wife and I went in about a year ago and really enjoyed playing unlimited games. We went back over Memorial Day weekend and as soon as we walked in, the big sign over the counter said Unlimited Free Play. We paid the fee and started playing games. When we got to the back of the place we realized there were much less games than before and they started charging for pinball. I asked them why they were charging for pinball and they replied, you should have read the fine print. We immediately left as they were patronizing us. We will never go back and urge others to follow.
Lots of older games. Took the girlfriend here and we had a blast
Love Hyperspace-- I love to go myself, take my kids, my kids friends-- a great place to burn 3 hours in the blink of an eye.
The service was great, I love how its cheap and everything was in good condition. The environment was like the arcade in stranger things. They have a very good game selection and you just cant beat the price
Had a lot of fun great games and nice atmosphere good price I would recommend to my friends
Wide variety of classic arcade games in excellent condition. Neat atmosphere!
Love arcades so had to check it out while in Denver for the weekend. For $12 you get access to more games than Ive ever seen at an arcade, as well as hundreds of Sega and GameCube games! Amazing! (Would recommend taking a car though, area was a little sketch.)
We enjoy it so much, I saw games when I was little and play most of them, a really fun place to be if you enjoy old video games.
I love this place. The small flat fee provides unlimited access to all sorts and variations of old-school arcade cabinets. I had a blast. Love the Max Headroom cups.
Employee put her hands on my son although it was his first time on a pinball machine then proceeded to roll her eyes! Made him so uncomfortable he didnt even want to play no more. Then turned off the game on us!!!! They need better service employees! There is a more professional way to go about things. Plus place got smaller with broken games!
I am a child of the 80s. I can spend hours here and I love it. Great selection of games old and older. It is too bad they got rid of their pinball machines...
More than one could wish for in a vintage arcade and more! Awesome guy running the place with amazing games. Will be returning!!
Arcades, snacks, and drinks. Whats not to like. I recommend the 4 player tank game if its still there. Good party game
Hyperspace arcade is always great fun. Awesome music, cool games and just a great atmosphere.
Hyperspace is a really fun arcade. Its like stepping into the 80s. It has a ton of old arcade machines. You get unlimited plays for a day with entry. You can also leave and return through out the day. Really fun for a group meet up or birthday.
Great place, love the theme. Wouldve gotten a 5 star rating from me but there was not 1 pinball machine.
No employees should be touching kids there... parents leave their kids there all day just imagine how many kids are most mistreated. No one will ever grab my son like that agian need better employees or better training on how approach kids.
They made it smaller and took away half the pinball games . They also make you pay for pinball now . Not cool guys! I can assure you it has not been years since I’ve been there, and I’m not the only one who is bothered by this obviously. Look at the other reviews.
Not bad, a bunch of childhood memory type games that I spend a WHOLE bunch of quarters on. About 1/4 of the games were out of order including the pinball machines, which was kind of a bummer.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! I will be returning. Took the whole family there and played arcade games for hours and LOVE the way its set up and decorated inside. If you like old school arcade games, this is a MUST!
I love this place. Flat rate for all you can play arcade games from your memory and beyond! They keep messing with the pricing structure, and I heard they are charging for pinball now? Not sure about that... But still, I cant hate. I love that hyperspace exists. Its truly fabulous.
One of the coolest arcades I have ever been to. They have almost everything you could think of from the 80s. Perfect way to spend a few hours.
Lots of great games and fun loud music. It seems to have shrunk back down since the much hyped expansion. Upkeep isnt quite what it was even a year ago. Pinball is now an extra charge but the employees dont seem to know why and couldnt care less. My two cents to the owners; move to a friendlier location and grab a liquor license to get the place into the black. Ditch the pinballs and showcase the arcade rarities up on the stage and charge a quarter a pop to keep them in tip top shape.
Tons of cool all you can play retro games, nice space, easy parking, good dj. All in all I definitely enjoyed myself. Will go back. Staff was nice and laid back as well.
A great variety of games. Flat rate price. We got there fairly late visiting from out of town and paid $12.00 per person.
Wide variety of games. Nice wide aisles. Music was too loud to hear audio well from many of the games. An abundance of Pac-Man games. Best part is that all of the arcade games are free after entrance fee is paid. Also, easy to leave and come back within the same day. Even on Sunday they are open till midnight.
Im a gamer. I love barcades, but I love this place more because it focuses on the arcade experience. Great music, awesome ambiance, and Ive FINALLY BEATEN so many games that would have just eaten my hard earned quarters and left me depressed and defeated. Except Dragons Lair. No one beats that game.I highly recommend making a night of it and visiting this local gem.
Super cool arcade. Lots of games. Pay a one time fee for unlimited play.
First off I will say the nostalgia of walking into an arcade is grand, and that is the only reason im giving it 2 stars. Walking into an arcade took me back to being a kid again, roaming the mall arcade while my parents shopped. That is where the nostalgia ends for me. Two years ago Hyperspace was teeming with a ton of games and pinball machines to spend my time. The games were well serviced and the machines worked well.Flash forward to yesterday. I dont know if it is new ownership or a general apathy to their business model, but it has really gone downhill in a terrible way. The pride of the ownership was entirely gone. It has undergone complete neglect, and it really shows the moment you walk in.My wife took me here as a surprise for my birthday, as well as my two children and I was looking forward to sharing this experience with them. When we entered and paid $12.00 a person (same for my 5 and 12 year old) we discovered that the pinball machines (4 of the 6) were now pay to play and the expansive list of games they had, had been cut by half. Also half the games we tried, the second player was unplayable, the screens were terrible, some just didnt work. $48.00 dollars later I had been unable to play games with my kids and I was generally bored because of the lack of games. All in all it was a bust, it genuinely made me sad because I had been there two years ago We will not be returning, nor will I be advertising it to my friends, as I have in the past.
Fun! My wife and I love pinball. For one price you get all you can play arcade games and pinball is only 25 cents. We were in there for 90 minutes and it felt like 10. If we didnt have an appointment, we would have stayed longer.
Neat place, all the old games bring back a lot of memories. Most games worked fine but a handful werent turned on.
12 - 15 bucks for unlimited gaming all day, and all night (till 1am anyways). Couldnt have found anything better. Highly recommend this arcade. Tons of games, and a friendly staff. Will always return.
This place is so much fun if you are into retro gaming!
My favorite arcade in the Denver area, the owner and employees are all great. The price too play all day, and for a monthly pass are extremely reasonably priced, if not on the cheap side. There is a great atmosphere and a huge selection of classic games and pinball, with at least 95% of them in working condition which is pretty high for games this old. I also love that you can come and go as you please all day with a hand stamp, such as to have a smoke break, or go get lunch or dinner, all for one low price.
Now that Ive been to the remodel I would say its so much better! Layout wise the staff were watching YouTube so we had to get their attention a few times (going in, and getting snacks) which isnt bad but a vending machine would be so good! (Maybe its because Im currently in Japan and swimming in them) I love the free to play style, and the entry price is great!
I love this place so much I went when they first opened and it was overall a great experience
Fun place to play arcade games and pinball for a great price. I recomend checking out this place out for nostalgia and fun.
Great place. My roommate and i came in pretty late and was greated by a really cool dude (sorry i forgot your name was not all there ) who showed us a bunch of cool tips and tricks for some of the games i never plaid before. Deff a wild environment but boat loads of fun
For paying 15.00 for all day pass was totally worth, me and my son were there for 5 hours and didnt want to leave, the only drawback was there were a few games not working but overall it was a fun day
Great arcade with free play after entry. Worth checking out if you love to game or miss those old school arcades from the 80s and 90s. Pinball selection is good as well.
Not crazy busy, but a ton of fun! Fun classic arcade and table games good DJs and pretty chill.
Great variety of games. Well kept. Clean. Friendly helpful staff.
Not what I expected (not the best) but still video games
Staff has always been nice and accommodating, there a few games they need to replenish the coin count and happy to do so. Son and I play for hours. Machines seem to be rotated and fixed as needed. Lots of great classics, no Donkey Kong though :(UPDATE! Donkey Kong is a sit down style by front door, but graphics are weird, not sure if monitor or a knock off.
So much fun! A great selection of games
Most amazing arcade in Denver area. Well maintained original arcade games from the 80s. Dark black light with 80s music cranking. Really makes you feel like you step back in time. Here you may find a some surprises that you always wanted to play but never had the chance. Fun for all ages!
Really enjoyed my time here. Was nice to pay a one time fee and play as much as you like. Had all the games I grew up playing and was great to spend an afternoon reliving my childhood. I must admit that time has taken its toll on how well I play them.... or maybe I remember being better than I was
Many of the games are in disrepair, the management is toxic and they have a particular disdain for small children. There should be more negative reviews for this place. Expect prices to go up (though already inflated); this dump is falling apart. In the space that there are other options in town for retro gaming, avoid this quagmire.
Walked in Paid $12, Found out after years of coming here they changed the pin’s to pay, went back to the counter and asked for a refund which they refused to give me. When your business model has always been based around unlimited play you shouldn’t expect people to read the fine print. I feel swindled.
Great place when you want to time travel
Terrible. Half the machines are off and only one pinball machine was working and that was off after a couple of hours. Try somewhere else
This place is going down, sorry to say. No pinball, took out most of the good games. Not to mention no air circulation smells like adolescents, Sorry but Im not going back, did not enjoy this last trip at all!
One of the best arcades around Denver. Contains hundreds retro arcade machines, pinball tables, and even retro consoles to keep you entertained! All of the machines are set to free play, so you dont even need quarters! Theres also plenty of snacks and drinks to buy. And the staff is always helpful and supportive. Will be visiting here again for sure!
I love this place Ive taken the bros itd a great place to chill get competitive with friends and just have fun totally recommend to anyone that likes having fun.Update. (Ive been going to this arcade for about the last year now and although Im a huge fan and i love the arcade they really did shrink the size and took away pinball machines. Hopefully they bring them back and bring back some machines as well. Overall still a great experience and still love going but dont find myself spending countless hours there anymore)
Pretty cool place for gamers of all ages.Music is a big plus. 80s vibe, love it!!! Highly recommended. Will come back on my next visit to Denver
Much fun! Youll play until youre just darn sick of it. Bottled and canned drinks marked up a bit too much, so hydrate elsewhere. Theyre open late and the crowd is pretty chill. Youll like it.Theyre open noon to 1am 7/365. Yep, thats right. This Thanksgiving when youve had it with being social, come here. Not a Christmas kinda person? Fill your belly on Chinese food and come here.Update:. As of November 2018, pinball machine plays are a quarter per game. Nobody was playing pinball last time I was there. I get it I suppose, but I had to take away a star.
My daughter and I have been twice and each time we opened and closed the place, noon to midnight. It is awesome to be able to play as many arcades and pinball games as you want within 12 hours for $12. Thats a buck an hour. The staff is nice, responsive, and accommodating. The 80s music is great. 100% 5 stars.
This place is AWESOME! They have a huge array of classic stand up games and pinball, not to mention computer and console games too. Grab yourself a Tab at the front counter, slide up to your favorite game and be prepared to be transported back in time, all set to choice 80s hits pouring from every speaker. No quarters necessary!
I liked it. Was a cool old school arcade. I really liked the fact that ot was free play.
No more pinball machines. Used to be a great place but now I wont be going back. What a shame.
$12 dollars is completely worth 8 hours of whatever wide variety arcade game you wish to play!!
Within 10 minutes, I was a fan. Our first visit here was a birthday party for my son and 5 of his friends. A total of 7 people (including me), and the cost was far less than what we would have spent at Dave and Busters or other similar places. The kids enjoyed the retro games mixed in with some newer classics. I, being a HUGE arcade geek back in the 80s, loved everything about this place. I felt the main price was very fair, and we got our moneys worth. The drink and snack prices are good, too. Personally, I loved the loud music, as that is a throw-back to old arcades, but the kids did mention that it was a bit loud and overwhelming. The one side room with the consoles was good, but could have used either some instructions or notes on the different systems and simple get started quick notes. I was able to help them get up and running on the older systems, but they ended up gravitating toward the N64 setup, instead. Cant wait to go back!
Id give it a 5 if I could drink beer while I play.Great arcade nonetheless.Loudest Pinball machines Ive ever played, which I love.
This place is good place if you love retro games I recommend
“Unlimited Play” is false advertising. I go for the pinball and you now have to pay per game on top of the entrance fee. The arcade games and consoles have gone downhill. I’ll be shocked if this place stays open another year.
