Always friendly staff. Helpful and willing to make recommendations. Gets very crowded on weekends, so it is best to arrive earlier if you want faster service or to play games. Cocktails are fun and creative, though this comes at a higher price. They do not serve food, so know that before planning your trip!
Amazing first impression and experience. First, I appreciated the heated-lamp patio upon entering on a chilly evening. I was extremely impressed with this place and how they are ensuring safety during this Covid era. They wiped down the arcade machines after almost every use and monitored the number of patrons entering. Loved that the Arcade games are free with the purchase of any 1 drink. What a win!! I had a great time, and all the staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly.
It was kewl. It was my first time here. I went on a date and we played street fighter and I got whipped on . The games are free the drinks are great but, the downside was that the gentlemen were walking around light weight stalking to see if we had masks on.
3 stars because we came up specifically to check out this place Saturday around 1pm and it was closed (update Google/website/social!) Not a total waste of a trip to Lakewood -- the wine shop around the corner was nice. Will hopefully be back soon to rate it 5!
I havent been there in a couple years, and it was a nice surprise to see how well they are handling pandemic precautions. I had a blast and so did my buddy Josh period he was blown away by the place hes never been there before and it had so many great games that he and I were nostalgic for: teenage mutant Ninja turtles, star wars, tron, X-Men, wrestlemania, etc., etc.
Didnt realize they dont have a kitchen, but the selection of games and ability to bring in food gives a bit more balance to not having a kitchen.
Its like you found a time capsule from the 90s, and one of your teachers put booze in the box! The main attraction here is Konamis The Simpsons Arcade Game. The downside? They dont have Konamis epic run & gun Sunset Riders. Still the drinks are pretty colorful and fun, almost like 16-bit graphics!
Its clean theres observing the covid-19 the people that work there are nice and friendly and knowledgeable never had a bad time there
Id give it 5 stars if they get Super Smash Bros Ultimate in there. Also, the place kind of smells like vomit.
Great time twice now with friends. Being able to play pinball while having a drink is fun. The outside overhead warmers are great. We were completely comfortable being outside for most of our time there. The drinks are fun, a little pricey but overall tasty. The staff here is great too, including security at the door. I Highly recommend this bar.
Had a blast here, drinking and playing old school games. They are free to play but pinball is 50 cents so bring quarters. The drinks weren’t badly priced and it was quick service even though the place was packed. If you’re interested in playing games get there early to avoid much of a wait. Very hip and trendy spot, lots of pop-culture. I got a drink called the Carrie Fisher that had rock candy in it, highly recommend! There was lots of other cool and tasty sounding drinks to choose from as well.
I went on a double date here with my boyfriend. It was lots of fun.... All the games are unlimited and they even have two game cubes outside. I highly recommend anyone who loves to play games and drink to go here. Also the environment is really friendly and welcoming never felt scared being here. Its the perfect place to go out and just have fun.
Great place. Good food many games
Great place over all lots space... great drinks... good prices far as servies and drink wise.. Good place for a date.. Very friendly place would of got 5 star if it would of had more like food
Amazing time, all games free except pinball and the 4 machines are only 50c a play. And the cocktails are incredible
A really fun barcade in a cute neighborhood of Cleveland, OH (about a 15 minute drive west of downtown). My only reservation with my particular visit here was that there were 6-7 games that were non-operational. I understand a few at a time, but 6-7 seemed excessive (and they were popular games to boot).Other than that there are great games, good drinks, and a really fun atmosphere at a reasonable price.
Modern, funtastic bar in the heart of Lakewood. Creative pop culture and game themed drink menu ans good selection of arcade cabinets indoors and old school console gaming outside in the covered patio. Great if you like to be outside summer or winter since they have heat lamps!
Has so many free games to play. There is a open front patio where they hold contests like Mario Kart and everyone who goes is always super friendly/willing to show you how to play something. Honestly its a good spot for first days as well, but I wish they had more drink selections.
This is one of our favorite bars and I don’t know if we will be back here. The *manager* told us that we were wrong because we didn’t know we were supposed to wear masks while playing pinball.
I took my husband as a surprise for his birthday. It was on a Saturday just shortly after they opened. It was empty, the bartenders were super nice and very accommodating. It really brought on the nostalgia. Thank you for a great experience! I highly recommend if youre looking for some great timeless arcade games and some beer(or what it is you prefer to drink)!
Awesome place definitely get the game over!
Fun time and great people working there!
16-Bit is an amazing blast to the past for people who grew up with arcades and for people who wish they had grown up with arcades. The drinks are house cocktails that also come with a fair price especially if you take the time to enjoy the games, as you do not have to pay for the games just hit start and enjoy. The only games you need quarters for are the pinball machines. The staff is always friendly and on average are just as big of nerds as you are. I have gone to this bar since it opened and I always enjoy going for a drink and meeting new people who are interested in good drinks, good games and good times.
This is a nice little arcade bar. Ive been to much better arcade bar in terms of selection, but its still a good time. The arcade games are all set to free play and the pinball machines are 50 cents per game. They dont have any other games like other arcade bars tend to have. It can get pretty crowded even early in the night. The themes drinks and slush puppies are a nice touch.
16-bit always has a very friendly environment, great drinks, and awesome games to play. Its definitely my go-to bar when I want to have a nice night with friends
Love this place. Great atmosphere and fun retro arcade games. And the drinks are awesome. they do not have a kitchen but you can have food delivered.
Amazing place but prices are high.
One of my favorite bars to go to with friends. Free games and fun drinks. The events they have are awesome and so are the prizes!
Good drinks and great games.
They have so many games you can play and everyone is really respectful about making sure you get a chance to try. I highly recommend their alcoholic slushies (as long as youre of drinking age!) and their menu of nerdy themed drinks!
16-Bit + Bar is my favorite arcade bar in Ohio and Indiana. Play games for free and buy your own booze, while playing some of your favorite games with old friends or making new friends. Either way, this is the place to be!
Theres not a time I go to 16-bit and not have fun. Just get some drinks somewhere else before hand
Get 3 stars because when its packed like sardines there are 2 maybe 3 bartenders and they seem overwhelmed. Once after 10 minutes and not even a glance over, we left. We squeezed our way thru the possibly over occupied building and drove to gordon square. When its Friday or Saturday night, dont even bother. We went to super electric pinball, drank beer and played pinball. Drinks are cool and original. Lots of craft beer. At least for the weekends, they could use double the space or a a couple more locations say in an easy suburb and south suburb.
Fun place with many vintage video games and a few pinballs. Buy a drink and play video games for free. Pinball is $0.50. There is some metered parking, free in the evening, across the street and a little east.Heres a few of my old favorites.
Awesome spot. Great vibe. Awesome staff. Will be frequenting this place often
Fun place to spend a couple hours on a weekend afternoon! Good place to stop for a drink/play games, on date night before heading to dinner on a rainy day.
Great place to grab a drink. Nice atmosphere and good for having a conversation or going with people. They allow outside food. Also the games are free (except pinball) so you can also barcade
It be better if it also sales food. Instead of buying food around there when people cant wait in there to order food at the place
We went to next door lounge for my Birthday and it was amazing. The music, food and ambiance were perfect . Cant wait to go back .
Not as fun as I thought Itd be, but I end up having a great time. Stayed on the old Mortal Kombat. It did have a great atmosphere. Ladies with heels, remember you are standing up at machines all night ( if you plan on playing), so you may wanna wear flats
Great vibe not a place for drinks they have them but its more looks than liquor adverage 8 dollars a drink
Been wanting to go to this place for a few years now whenever we come up to visit friends/family in the area. Finally made a visit and while it was packed, we were able to find plenty of games to play without waiting too long. Really went to town on NFL Blitz and Area 51. Felt like a kid again, but with a much higher BAC. Plenty of beers and delicious cocktails to choose from. Hopefully not our last trip!
Absolutely love this bar. The drinks are a little pricey but you get to play their games for free so worth it. Nice bartenders and helpful staff.
I absolutely loved the drink menu. The bar itself is very nostalgic. I loved playing the 16 bit games and pinball. I had a great time. This is definitely a place to check out.
Great place! Fun games, good drinks with awesome nostalgic scenery and the games are free!
Really nice staff! Clean place, too. The arcade games are kept up pretty well, and its just a good environment.
16 bit was absolutely amazing, Alan, Alexis and Joe all killed it. They were all so helpful and more than willing to take care of everything we needed and helped me and my fiancee celebrate our engagement.
Nice place. Well lit. Working games. Good staff
Super nice bar with a lot of well maintained old arcade machines. Parking is available behind the building, and did can be grabbed across the street
Nice place to play retro arcade games for free. No food menu however, drinks only.
Pretty cool barcade. Drinks were responsibly priced arcade games were free except the pinball which is 50 cents so thats reasonable. All the drinks were named after 80s pop stars and pretty tasty. Several old school systems hooked up on the patio as well as lots of heaters. Id recommend getting there earlier if you want to really play anything because when we came back later at night it was packed in there. seemed to have good specials depending on the day as well. No food options however they do let you bring outside food in so you can Uber some food to you and eat there. If I lived closer I would definitely go back more often.
This is the perfect way to run an arcade bar! Free games as long as you have a drink. Great fun place people are friendly and its just fun. The drink menu is vast with a great selection of beers and unique cocktails. I want to bring the kids on a Sunday.
Fun fun fun. Great games! Good drinks!
Place was super cool, unlimited play on old school video games, expect the pinball machines, drinks were good, great hangout spot
Pretty nice setup and the staff is very friendly. Always fun to sit on their heated patio when its cold outside and own your friends in Mario kart and smash bros while sipping on a nice cold one!
I’ve been coming to this place for years! The bar staff and bouncer are always smiling and super friendly! The games have always been the same to me, my favorite being the Simpsons. The drinks are creative but very sweet if it’s not what you’re used to. Their beer list is decent, and if you don’t do the booze, they have plenty of other choices.
This place is heckin rad. Free play arcades, rockin cocktails, a sizeable craft draft list, and nightly events. You owe it to yourself to hang out here.
First time there. Little expensive. Good time with the boys.
Great drinks and atmosphere. Service could be nicer.
I took my son there on sunday & we both had such a good time! Someone on a Lakewood group page on Facebook mentioned that they had a kids day every sunday from 12-5 so i figured wed go check it out. I only wished i knew about it sooner!
Fun place to go with friends on the weekend. Lots of craft beer options and free classic arcade games. Perfect for all 80s and 90s kids.
You guys need a bigger area other than that I love coming here and especially love that you have a heated patio year long.
Great, friendly service, awesome atmosphere, nice patrons, chalk board hallway, free games, good drinks. Ill go again!
This is one of my favorite spots in Lakewood, and it’s definitely the most fun bar in the Cleveland area! You can’t beat free arcade games, 80s- and 90s-themed alcoholic beverages and the throwback shows on the TVs around the bar. If you’re over 21 and in the Cleveland area, definitely check this bar out!
Video games are free and atmosphere is awesome. Lots of fun
Great drinks. Fun games. Always have a good time here. They are also a dog friendly bar, so bring your pooch!
So much fun. They have slushies! Game play is free with purchase of a drink. Must be 21 to enter.
Drinks are kind of high but for the experience and free games you cant beat that ...the heated patio is a major plus with the game cube and nintendo 64 outside. Me and my friends had a great time
Awesome drinks and retro arcade games make for a great night out!
Absolutely one of the most fun bars to hang out with friends in Lakewood. We have met several great couples and now good friends. Arcade games are free, drinks are a tad pricey, but overall worth the experience.
If you played video games in the 80s this is a very cool place
Good place just gets very crowded sometimes. Drinks a bit over priced.
Drinks were excellent and cabinet selection is pretty choice
I came across this place on Instagram when I was 20yr and counted down the days until I could go. This place is amazing!
Cool environment and concept. Was a little busy and the one bartender was pretty rude.
Awesome place! Bringing back so many memories of my childhood good! Unlimited game play for one drink!
Couldn’t believe my eyes! This place was incredible! Met a date here on a Tuesday night and we had a wonderful time! The games were great! Loveeeee pinball! And really liked that everything was immaculately clean! My bartender was Shelby who gave me the utmost respect when I explained that I couldn’t drink alcohol or anything carbonated. She made me a gorgeous and delicious juice drink! She was friendly and had banging bangs! I plan in coming back in just to get her schedule!I’ll be back in ASAP 16B you can count on it!
Im sure this only speaks to how good it is, but Ive been here a few times and its wayyyy too crowded. Cant get to the bar to get a drink, cant get to any games.
Cool bar if you enjoy old school arcades. Buy a drink and play for free all you want.
Lots of games that are free when drinking! Great drinks that arent too expensive. It was PACKED on a Saturday night!
This is the perfect way to run an arcade bar! Free games as long as you have a drink. The drink menu is vast with a good selection of beers and unique cocktails.
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. A must visit for a trip down memory lane of those who spent their days in arcades. Not much more to say other than hurry down and enjoy your time here. Their cocktails are very very good as well. Games are free with the exception of their pinball games. They do not serve food but welcome you bringing in your own tasty treats. 12/10 would go again...and again....and again.
Great drinks and a good spot if it isnt crowded
Lots of great beers and mixed drinks with tons of old school video and pinball games. also an outside heated patio for gaming and the smoking section
Great creative drinks, lots of fun games. A little pricey, but I guess for the area it makes sense.
16-Bit Bar is a awesome nostalgia trip! It is a neat little arcade bar with great cocktails, and lots of arcade machines to play. A must visit if you are in the area and love old school arcades!
