This is a beautiful stretch of a walking path with very well manicured flora. If youre a birder, youll have a lot of opportunity to see a variety of interesting birds. Its fun to watch the herons hunt for gophers. One problem this place has is inconsiderate people leave litter at the entrance. Please take only photographs and leave only footprints.

This is a nice hidden gem of a location to take a walk and enjoy nature. It is a 2-mile roundtrip dirt trail that is well-kept and has multiple benches along the way in case you need a rest or just want to sit back and enjoy the sounds and sights of nature!

Its small and narrow, maybe 3/4 of a mile or bit more more, but its peaceful and once in a while youll see an Egret or a Huron just majestically standing around like the one we saw today. We also often see owls in the evenings.

A hidden nature trail in the city of Lakewood. Approximately a 2 mile trail. Many Grey Heron reside here. Peaceful walk with others walking their dogs.

Very nice trail. Visiters are nice too. There are big trees that provide adequate amount of shade. It is well maintained with planted flowers to attract butterflies. The water in the river along the trail is low, thus, we only found a snowy egret, and a great blue heron. There are plenty of common land birds like scrub jay, sparrows, and Finches.

Great small trail that allows you a quick break from running or walking on the sidewalks. Walked a half mile section that is open from dawn until dusk. Trail is nice condition and there is a bench as well along the way. Its a nice break when you are in the area.

The SG River bike trail is a very pleasant and easy trail to navigate. The scenery and birds you may see along the way are such a delight. Generally, you can meet very nice and helpful people along the way...Its best to plot your map before you head out, so you know where the safe places for restroom breaks are located. You can bring your lunch and find a nice spot to rest or go with friends and meet up. The ride to Rivers End (Seal Beach) is about 30 minutes from Bellflower...(for example) ...On Sundays, there is a Farmer and Merchant market that takes place on Marina Drive (Just behind PCH & 2nd Str-in Long Beach)...There are many breakfast locations and good coffee in Seal Beach and Long Beach... Going North on the bike trail, you can stop in at El Dorado Nature Center or Eldorado Park...Its most fun and safe to travel with a group of friends or a meet-up group...If you like to ride solo, thats ok too...Enjoy !!

Trail is gorgeous and very well maintained. Outstanding place for exercise. There used to be lots of big dogs off leash but I havent seen any lately, probably thanks to the adjacent dog park.
