Very pleasant. Beautiful view and nice somewhat short hike with a bit of challenge in steepness.
Way OVERCROWDED. Nice view but everyone in the world is coming here now so its been ruined. Trash left around and trash cans overspilling. Not good. At least dont trash a beautiful place, have a little respect.
The montage is a wonderous hotel filled with many adventures
Seaview Park is a great place to sit and relax or take your dog/kids on a walk while enjoying incredible panoramic views of Orange County and the ocean! There are benches scattered along the grassy area so you can relax and take in the amazing beach, mountain, and city views. It’s a perfect place for a photo op, so bring your camera! There are also numerous picnic tables placed along the path for picnics. This is an easy & short walk, great for beginners and children. Keep in mind that there is no shade so bring hats and wear sunscreen if you plan to visit on a sunny day. There are also nearby dirt-paved walking trails within walking distance if you wish to make your walk a bit longer. Neighboring trails include Aliso Summit Trail and Badlands Park.*Pro tip: If you go early enough in the morning (usually before 8 a.m.) you can experience blankets of fog roll over the hills from the ocean. It resembles the notorious fog that rolls though the Bay Area. You can’t see the ocean views during this time but the view is a different kind of beautiful nonetheless!
Clean, some steep spots but overall easy. Nice to see the beach and feel the ocean breeze.
Wonderful spot to sit in a bench and listen to the coyotes howl at night
Nice park with ocean view!
Great views at the vista point, but its not much of a walk for my active dog and myself along this trail. Badlands is just a few minutes away from Seaview Park and it provides a longer walk than this location. Badlands connects to the Seaview Trail (not to be confused with this Seaview PARK Trail) which adds more to my walk. It took roughly 10 mins to reach the Vista Point at Seaview Park. The path is all compacted dirt, flat and can be completed wearing flip flops easily. There are tables and benches all along the short trail. The path didnt have any shade, but if you need a break you can duck into shaded areas all along the path. Theres a steep trail that probably leads down to the beach Im assuming once you reach the Vista Point, but we didnt try that path since I didnt have proper footwear. We walked along the Top of the World park area until we reached the homes and turned back on our way back to our vehicle along Talavera to add more steps and it didnt provided that much more. Perhaps we will try the Aliso Summit Trail another time for a better walk/hike that leads into this trail. We spent around 20 mins here vs being able to spend around an hour at Badlands looping around the two trails. Nice short walk for the views, but if youre looking for a workout perhaps consider linking up with the Aliso Summit Trail.
This place feels like the top of the world, especially when you feel like youre at the bottom of the heap. This is my favorite spot in all of southern California without doubt. On clear days you can see the Santa Monica mountains in Malibu to the north, and the hills around Escondido and Carlsbad to the south. San Clemente Island off the coast and the San Bernardino mountains inland. I wont even attempt to describe the sunsets from here. All of this from ONE spot at the top of the world.
Incredible view. Not really a park though. More like a scenic overlook
The trail gets remarkably worse as you approach Aliso Peak.
Great place to sit and take in the view of the canyon down to Laguna Beach.
When you get lucky and the cloud layer makes a perfect sunset photo opp!!
Nice walk.
Great quick hike
Great views and trail along the Ridge
Fantastic ocean and hillside view
Beautiful views and away from the crowds
Easy access
Easy walk and panoramic view of the coastline at the end of the trail
Excellent 0.5 mi warm-up. On my way to Yosemite. By car, of course!Trail needs more live oak and pine. Enough of cutting trees so as to accommodate those who complain of property values and/ or views deteriorating re. vegetation encroachment.Yay trees and shade.
Great place to start a hike. They even have a drinking fountain.
This review is for anyone who is looking for a place to fly RC sailplanes. I have been looking for new places to fly my radio control sailplanes as some of my old hills are now inaccessible or completely built over. These are my own impressions as I have not flown this hill yet. The slope faces the west and should be able to generate a lot of lift with a mild on-shore breeze. The LZ is a narrow strip of land between the very steep hill and adjacent streetl nd high dollar homes.
Nice trail
This is an open terrace with a large panoramic views of the southern Orange County with Saddleback mountain and Aliso Wilderness Park below. The park has a number of benches for sitting and enjoying the view. This park is good for sunrises especially.
What a beautiful hike! Somewhat a little steep but very short with a surprise view at the end.
