Aliso Summit Trail is probably the most satisfying hikes in the city of Los Angeles because its not too difficult. Theres 2 different entrances where you can start from. (I use Fuller Ave, its better) On a good pace, it can take anywhere from 40mins-1hr. Theres a lot of benches on the way up to watch the view or take small breaks. Parking is pretty easy to find on the weekdays but Sundays can be a little difficult. Going after sunset is the best because you can really soak in the view of Los Angeles!
It is easy trial but if you like to enjoy a great view and also hike for almost one and half hour, Aliso Summit Trail is good choice. I went there Feb 1 and the weather was higher than another days because of ocean most time the wind from ocean side below. You can bring your dog. You have great view from ocean and hills. Totally I enjoyed and I recommend it to anyone else.
This is my second time at runyon canyon. I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone and everyone who loves hiking, traveling, a good workout and a good challenge! If youre lucky youll run into supermodels and famous people. Maybe youll even see Kevin Hart with his whole squad! If you are visiting LA you have to come to runyon. The views are absolutely breath taking!
We came here for a nice day hiking in SF. Lucky we arrived early because there was plenty of parking available on the busy weekend. It was pretty chilly, but at least we wont sweat as much.
Great place to ride... especially during the weekdays.
For a novice biker w/ senior dogs, this was excellent. Though my dogs are senior they are strong. Slept real good after this!
Great place to walk, run, bike, enjoy the view and keep social distance.
Beautiful place for a peaceful walk.
Beautiful view!
Civilized, friendly. Breathtaking views. Magical during the sunset hours.
Serious nature intake on this scenic strollway. Sunsets are insane.
A nice, mostly flat (but not paved) trail overlooking the valley with glimpses of the ocean to the east. You will be exposed to the sun most of the trail, so plan for that on warm days. We did have a nice coastal breeze cooling us of on this recent July hike. The fairy nooks along the trail are fun for young kids to discover.
Nice easy walk
What an amazing view! This is an easy trail, very walkable, or bikeable. Its about 1 1/2 miles from the street parking area on Pacific Island, to the area where it starts to turn down to Alicia. So its a great 3 mile walk/jog/bike. There are great views the whole way (mostly valley with some ocean ad well). The trail is wide and packed dirt. Its mostly flat with a couple inclines that are noticeable. Easy, and a nice view the whole way with many nice houses to check out as well.
Beautiful trail, lots of sights. Just bring water and use the bathroom before embarking :)
Really beautiful and peaceful
If you love hikes like I do youll enjoy it to
I forgot how much I love these trails
Beautiful views of canyon & ocean at every step, view of Catalina much of the trail, not too crowded, easy enough parking along street, gorgeous big houses on the other side. Many people with dogs. Flat dirt path, easy walk. I went on a Saturday at 11am.
Easy hike with beautiful views of the ocean, Catalina and Aliso and Wood Canyon
Amazing canyon, chaparrel and ocean views; plus, a good trail to exercise on.
Come to visit and not to live and please dont litter while youre here. The Earth thanks you.
