An oasis in a heavily commercialized Southern Orange County. Spacious green lawns, tree-lined slopes, shelters for hosting parties, tables with close-by grills for barbecuing, off-road paths to provide a sense of remoteness and well-stocked restrooms kept clean.

Beautiful park and lake with fishing and a large number and variety of birds. Its just turned June here, and the Canadian Geese are still parading their freshly hatched to juvenile offspring all around the lake. This whole park is well maintained, has lots of amenities including tennis courts, and has lots of space to breath, which is even more important than usual during these Covid-19 social distancing days. Being close to my home, Ive been here hundreds of times and have never seen a single bad thing happening. Well okay, there was one time during a wicked Santa Ana wind, when I came uncomfortably close to being hit by a falling eucalyptus tree. But unless your stupid enough to be walking next to a line of eucalyptus trees, on the downwind side, in 70 mph wind gusts, this is a very safe place for families and kids. 5 stars!

Laguna Niguel lake is a nice strech of land that follows the lake with multiple views from the lake and up above the hill. Great for fishing with cleaning stations and even an amphitheatre in the back. The nature element is awesome. All that area is just beautiful for hanging out BBQ riding bikes, its just awesome!

Beautiful walking/biking path. You can park near to YMCA on Crown Valley and bike in the back way. Or there is a walking tunnel off of La Paz across the street from the main entrance. Nice views around the lake. Lots of people fishing and picnicking all over.

Beautiful park to spend whole day.

My fiance and I googled this lake because we wanted to try fishing there. The hours said open 24 hours on Thursdays. We were told to leave at 9pm. Please update your hours to match the Laguna Niguel Regional Park hours so the same mistake doesnt happen to someone else. Thanks!

Very quiet place if you need to chi-lax!

They could use a maintenance person who is actually interested in doing their job instead of just driving around and never get out of the cart. The roads are full of feces. Who is supervising these people. Lets keep wasting money.

Peaceful and beautiful open space. Great place to read, work on crochet/knitting projects, do research, enjoy a meal, take a walk. Well kept, clean bathroom facilities.

About a month ago, I spent the day here and just chilled. It was so quiet and peaceful, I didnt want to leave! It was a wonderful break from the realities of life, either for an hour or all day. Very enjoyable and I highly recommend it!

Horrible place to go fishing there are no fishes in here trust me or see for yourself.

Great parking, great restrooms, 2 mile flat loop around the lake, walk or jogging, you can go longer, not crowded, always see animals. Very nice. We go weekly (year pass for parking is $55) so close, so nice, a hidden yewel.

Love this place! Been coming here my whole life. I can’t wait to do a big BBQ here this summer!

My church, Calvary Chapel-Mission Viejo, had an outdoor service at the park today. It was pretty amazing. Loved the park plenty of space and things to do.

Went here to fish after checking the OC stocking schedule and seeing the thousands of trout they are stocking weekly. Fished during the wettest storm in Los Angeles history and didnt get a bite. Had the lake to myself except for 1 fly fisherman and some pelicans. Came back a week later and caught a 3 1/2 lb rainbow as soon as the power bait hit the water. My only complaint is the lack of fishing spots. There are reeds surrounding most of the lake and the spots that dont have them quickly get filled up. Usually fish with my daughter and it sucks when I have to keep unsnagging her line.

Too much goose poop!!! You cant help but to step in it. Not good for activities in the grass. The cabanas are full of spider webs and what appears as mold. I would not hold a function there.

This park has been changing throughout the years and it keeps improving. Wildlife is everywhere and the walking trails take you all over.

Fishing line is everywhere the animals get stuck in it

Not what it used to be. No services at lake. VERY Limited spots from shore to fish...and a very pressured fishing lake. Crowded weekends and holidays.

This place used to provide fishing without a fishing licenses but no longer that is the case. You will need a license to fish here except for the free fishing days twice a year.

Since the County has taken over management, they are doing great things to make the fishing amenity better. Remember State Fishing License is required and all state fishing laws apply.
