For the price you pay to the amount of food wasnt worth it for me... I could drive into LA for some real Mexican street tacos instead. Meat had little flavor, rice was very blan upside was the guacamole very fresh needed more salt & spice tho but delicious. Service was okay, when ordering extra the guy behind the counter seemed bothered...

Good vegan options. About 4 actually. Tried all except the hemp burger. Blk (blackened) phish taco, blk mushroom taco and blk potato taco. Owner was friendly. Prices are ok- a little ok the Higher side are 4.25-4.65/ taco

Ive been going to taco loco for a long time now. I would come here after jumping off the rock and I still crave this place. Im really happy to see that they are still open during the covid-19 times and now that Im vegan, this is one of the few places that Ive been going to for a long time that I still really enjoy and can eat. I got the black and mushroom tofu burger just like I have gotten for years now and I brought my daughter for the first time and she ordered a chicken taco. I thought she might want a lobster taco but she had seafood the day before and the chicken looked good. The guacamole is just as good as I always remember I definitely recommend this place.

The food is delicious so I had to give it some starts. The service is atrocious. Weve been here twice and each time a different person has taken our order. Both times they were extremely cold, rude, abrasive. And for no reason at all! Im extremely courteous on general so its especially shocking when someone is still rude. We went there again to a) give it another try and b) because the food IS very good.Just be prepared to be treated poorly when you go here. It thats a big turn off dont bother going

Um wow! These nachos were everything! Such a generous portion and you get to choose the fresh toppings to go on. The guacamole was my favorite part. Theres small seating areas. With alcoholic beverages you are limited to sitting within the gate. Might be easier to get take away instead of battling for a spot.

Absolutely delicious. We had one dish that was Russian roulette with habanero. Quite an adventure. Sake selection was just enough. Cocktails looked delicious. Best Vegan Ive had yet!

Food was super delicious and not what youd normally get at most taco places. But still nice to try something different and they have healthy options for you if youre watching out for yourself and the people are great! Highly recommend if youre in the area!

What an incredible dining experience!! The long line is definitely worth the wait! We ordered 13 dishes and all of them were phenomenal. I cant wait to dine at shizen again.

I’ve been a huge fan since the early 90’s and crave this food daily!!! Everything is amazing and I especially like the blackened mushroom tofu burgers. Can’t go wrong with anything you order.....it’s all fresh, kitchen is always clean, and the staff and owner are amazing. My favorite restaurant forever!

The menu and service were ahead of our expectations. I surely liked the vibes of this place. Excellent spot to take the family out for lunch.

The Monday Specials were seafood tacos so we ended up trying the Lobster, Salmon, and SeaBass. Tacos were good but all felt like they were on the greasier side and would have been too oily if I didn’t have the guac to balance it out. Outdoor seating was a good idea since the indoor counter space was a bit crowded.

The guy behind the register was pretty cool and the food was great I has the shrimp burrito and my wife had the beef, chicken and carnita tacos they were good as well

Tacos were amazing! We got lobster tacos, blackened swordfish and calamari tacos -all were fantastic. The lobster was perfectly cooked, swordfish seasoned impeccably and calamari was the most tender I’ve ever had. Not only was the food awesome, the owner was so kind. We got to reopen after the pandemic with a beer on the patio. If you are in town, a native or just driving through STOP AT TACO LOCO! It’s worth it!

The food was edible but I would not choose to eat here again. Within my group we tried the shrimp, chicken, tofu, and potato tacos. The tacos were very minimal (taste/ingredient wise) and the food didn’t seem seasoned at all. Their “guacamole” was basically chunky avocados with some tomato and onion and the salsa kind of tasted like canned tomatoes :( Just not worth it at all to me. I’m baffled by how that simple and basic of a taco is worth $4? Also our order was wrong; we ordered a fish taco and we were given another chicken. Edible... but I would not recommend.

If I could give 0 stars on this review I would.This was my 1st try at this place and DEFINITELY my last!!Just a quick review of my experience:Pros:...................... Im in Laguna??Cons:-> Food a bit pricey (beside the point, if it was GOOD food I wouldnt care much).** --> They got my order wrong. I had ordered 2 burritos for both of my kids (repeated it TWICE since they repeated my order back incorrectly the 1st time). Once the food was done (long wait) and I noticed I received 2 Tacos instead of 2 burritos, I immediately went to tell owner/worker that i received the incorrect order and handed my receipt. The owner/worker pointed out how they didnt get the order wrong since it showed correctly on the receipt. We stood there for approx. 5 minutes going back and forth as I was trying to explain I NEVER order the tacos to begin with (and the receipt isnt clear on its itemization).Conclusion..... owner/work kept insisting they didnt hear wrong but that I had ordered wrong?!?! And even when I kept stating that I still need the burritos ordered as my kids are starving beyond this point, the owner asked for the tacos back (HELLOOO!!! COVID?!?! YOU WANT THE TACOS THAT YOU HANDED TO ME BACK?!) and advised he will still need to charge me for the burritos. I still paid for the burritos that I had ordered incorrectly because i have 2 starving kids that ate the tacos anyways since they still charged me and the tacos were not enough or fulfilling.-->food has no flavor

The chicken and shrimp tacos are fantastic and the staff is super friendly. They have a wide selection of beers. Cant wait to try everything on the menu. You cant go wrong eating here.

I believe the first time I went here was in 1997 back when I didnt even live in O.C. but was brought by a friend who lived in Laguna Niguel and it was the first place I thought to go eat when I moved to HB a few years later. Ive since lived in OC off and on for around 20 years total and in almost each different city in the county, and no matter which one I reside in, it is always the first place that comes to mind when I feel like having a taco. The mushroom & tofu taco has been my go to for almost 25 years and it is just as delicious every single time. Im thankful this staple has survived for so long and I cant imagine ever coming to Laguna Beach if it were no longer there. The owner and consistently awesome staff on top of great and healthy food make this a must go destination for anyone who hasnt been.

I had a blackened mahi taco and carnitas taco. Pretty amazing. Hot sauce was sufficiently hot. Mahi was moist and flaky. Carnitas was slightly dry but still good. Tacos came with guac, onions and cilantro. Parking sucks, but its Laguna.

Gave my order to someone else. Had to wait for like half an hour. Lied to me that my order has been taken care of. The cashiers work without gloves or sanitizing their hands in between ppl, take all cards etc.and then open boxes with food to verify orders by hands (because everything is so messed up and they need to check orders)... So you might or might not get covid here but not your tacos for sure

Amazing Healthy Mexican / Vegan food in Laguna Beach and they’re open late nights. Been coming here since I was a kid. I love this place!!! The homemade Avocado Salsa is so tasty!!!! The owner is super chill and friendly. Makes you feel right at home.

After a nice refreshing swim, my fave apres swim meal are the shrimp tacos. Doesn’t get any more totally awesome than that!!

Good food not as good as I remember, thirsty for tips charge more than advertised on the menu just overall too pricey please stop putting the price of the lease and your payroll onto every plate sold some of us can not afford to live in Laguna Beach but love to visit and wouldnt mind a taste without sweating the finances. PS used to live here and afford to and I still wouldnt mind a price break on a bite to eat that wasnt fast food here and there I think youd see more volume and overall profits. What do I know theres plenty of people in town who wouldnt bat an eyelash if you raise the price. Great hole in the wall place to eat!! My wife had the steak tacos (which were perfect) and I had the chicken tacos which if they werent dry I wouldve given them a 5!! Regardless I will eat here again! Customer service is on point

This is a nice taco place in Laguna where you can enjoy a meal inside or outside. They can work with you on making something vegan or vegetarian. Their food is made fresh and their salsas are spicy.It can get busy at certain times so it’s a good idea to have someone hold a table while you order. I ordered the blackened mushroom and tofu tacos. They were delicious.You can see that their specialty is more for seafood but they are good at working with you and your dietary needs. Eat more plants.

I snagged a few tacos (carnitas, swordfish, and mahi) to-go and was very impressed. The carnitas was okay, but the fish was SO good. It came with all the fixins you see below included. Ill be back for sure.

One of the best Mexican street food style places in the area. They have everything you can think of, tacos, guacamole, quesadillas, fajitas, burgers, burritos and Pizzas and more. Theyre really generous with the cheese and spices. Not too spicy though. You can add chilli sauce and sour cream with guacamole to every dish and it comes with nachos so you really dont have to order nachos. Its pricey $$$ but its worth it.

This place has a really great atmosphere and I appreciated being able to sit outside on such a beautiful day. However, I had the fish tacos and they just weren’t very good. The guac was delicious and I really enjoyed the alcoholic Kombucha so I’m giving it three stars; but, overall, a disappointing experience. I’m not likely to go back.

Very underwhelming. The carnitas and chicken were bland, and the only thing with any flavor was the shrimp taco. Save yourself $5 and pass on ordering the “guacamole”. It’s 90% diced tomatoes and cilantro with avocado thrown in as an afterthought.

We heard Taco Loco served some interesting takes on tacos, salads, quesadilas, etc. We tried the vegetarian mushroom nachos, blackened lobster tacos, and taco salad with blackened chicken. Each was topped with a healthy dose of incredibly fresh and delicious guacamole. Highly recommend.

Great taco place!! I had the sea bass taco, swordfish taco, and salmon taco. Definitely filling enough also. Its a little tiny shop so you order and sit and get your grub on. Make sure you tip them too because they do a great job!!

My friends and I stopped by this place yesterday, the customer service we received was not very good. There were two people working, a blond woman taking orders, and a woman with darker hair who was cooking. They both had bad attitudes. The food was also kind of soggy.

Oh my lord I love this place. The mushroom quesadilla half order is pretty big already and tons of mushrooms I just love it! The taco Tuesday tacos were just ok, worth 2 stars. Quesadilla is the bomb.

Great food! Mostly Mexican but have specials almost every day. More important it’s open late while everything around you is already closed (except junk food). The guy over there is super cool and friendly! It’s a great place to grab a late-night snack or eat after a surfing session.

This place has been here for a long time. I have been going here off and on since I was younger. Its a hippie taco place. There is a smoke shop right upstairs. I think sometimes the people working at taco loco are high. But it doesnt seem to affect the tacos. They always taste the same. The prices seem to go up every time we eat there. The shrimp, lobster, swordfish, and veggie tacos are the standouts. The guacamole is good on the tacos but I think the salsas are super weak. The spicy tastes like tapatio mixed with lemon juice. The mild is very mild like tomato sauce. Its not real Mexican tacos, its hippie California beach tacos. Good once in a while.

I hear of this place a long time ago when I live in Taiwan. I finally tried it and its so good! I love the lobster taco, and blackened chicken. Its a bit expensive for a taco stand, but very fresh and good!

Been going to this place since I was a teenager. Love the blackened tofu burger and shrimp or swordfish tacos. Service has always been good.

Stopped by here one night during vacay after craving tacos and loved it so much we came back the nrxt night. We had a variety of tacos, a quesadilla and a burrito and we loved every single bite. The woman working was so friendly and gave us plenty of salsas and sides! We will definitely come back here next time we are in town.

Love taco loco. Ive been going there for about 20 years. They are very vegetarian and vegan friendly. Patio seating only which can get noisy on the street, but you still get a peak-a-boo view of the ocean. You can have beer on the gated patios. I usually get the hemp burger or potatoe tacos. Dont forget to top everything with the guacamole.

Been coming here since the late 90s......great location, great food......Gonzalo, the owner, keeps it rolling proper all these years, with the same tasty guacamole that justifies the drive out to Laguna Beach......mushroom tofu burger highly recommended......

The food is great. Had mahi taco. Very flavorful and moist.A little pricey for tacos. Mahi was $5 I think and They went up to $11 per. They have about 6 different fish (even lobster) you can order in the tacos. Menu is pretty extensive with good looking specials daily. People are very friendly. Met a musician there and another super nice guy while ordering. All there were very low key and comfortable.

The location drew us in but unfortunately the food nor staff was on point..It took a long time for us to be addressed by a waitress,when she did show up she took our drink order and never came back we were passed off to a different waitress who was pleasant but still lacked in areas of customer service hah it took 15 mins to get lemons to the table to say least i think our service was better than others around us..overheard can we get different fries these are ice cold and seen a waitress apologize to a family waiting for there food order that was taking a long time and stated she would bring them bread but never did lol...overpriced food wasnt great..sorry not sorry
