Great park for the black community. .. we really not welcome at any other with are BBQ grills and Urban Music.

Its a good park.. I love when our city has Road Knights weekend there. Motorcycles come from far away to come show off their bikes to the community.. Always happens around Fathers Day weekend and its very enjoyably.. we have fun every year..

They have a little bit of entertainment nice place to eat sit back and relax. A lot of things for children to do come to the park and enjoy.

This park is useless. Only has about 2 events a year and the rest of the time its a waste of space. No one even plays there anymore because it usually fills up with teens and young adults as a sketch hangout spot. And someone said it was the only place in the black community for people of color to be accepted. Yet they usually take their kids to the other side of town where there are clean parks with better equipment. This should have already been torn down years ago

This park is a place where the kids from Dunbar and surrounding areas play, its also where the Road knights and Summerfest takes place fun, fun, fun. In the early 90s it use to be a hang out for teens and young adults and unfortunately it was quite a bit of drug dealing taking place during that time, however that has been over two decades ago and Kpd did a pretty good job cleaning that up. The kids in this area deserve a place to play so I wouldnt want to see it torn down, I see litter all around town not in just one area, and I absolutely despise it, but instead of complaining Im going to do my best to do my part and be the change I want to see. I honestly havent heard about any shootings going on specifically in this park.... in over 20 years . About 5 years ago I believe Sprite even did a small renovation here, and it has a decent skate park so its not all bad, and it would be nice to also have the playground renovated or at least a little upgrading but if not ..kids are pretty creative they will find fun in a cardboard box lol.

Friendly when ever Im there great for kids, they enjoy it, but there are times that they have people there that dont respect the park by doing drugs and drinking making loud noise and here latelyan awful lot of shooting.

This park tends to be littered with garbage. Only been a few times and it was the same both times. Its in a shadier neighborhood too.
