The stump and old Ben are enclosed so you cannot get too close to them, it also made pictures difficult. All that said, I thought it was cool. I was looking forward to seeing Ben - he was very large! Quite the impressive animal! The stump was huge! They are tight next to each other so its a fun trip.If you have children, there is a great park nearby (swings, cool slides, zip line, etc). Lots of grassy areas, dogs must be leashed.
Great corner of the park to walk ones dogs, especially this time of year with the squirrels out in force. Lol, multiplies the exercise the walker gets threefold!
Love Highland Park in Kokomo. Its been a staple in Kokomo since before I was born and Im sure will be for decades on.
Very nice park. Good place to bring ur family an have get togethers an birthday partys. Great place to walk around with ur pet
Really cool to see I personally and all about seeing the worlds largest. So seeing the worlds largest stump and cow was awesome. They could use some signs maybe saying its there when we pulled up to the park we didnt see anything so we just started walking towards the building and hoped we were going the right way.
Nice. Is different from when I was young and went to that park
Its so nice getting a look at a little of the town history and its so cool that they have it preserved and open to the public like that in the park
Park is well kept and very nice. The stump is pretty cool.
When I was a kid..I actually got into that room with my Brownie Girls
It has an interesting history story and the park is a beautiful park.
Best picnic spot in the park, Big Ben, Stump, and Cannon are always worth seeing.
Love walking around here
Must see if you are within 20 miles
Awesome area for a family reunion. Ive lived 74 years in Kokomo and never tire of Highland Park with Old Ben and the Sycamore Stump. While some make fun, nearly everyone goes at some point and always take their kids.
We have a family reunion down there every year, and i all ways love seeing Ben. That was a whole lot of Bull and the old Sycamore stump is always beautiful. Absolutely love this park.
Fun place to go outside
Pretty neat had no idea this was here.
Fun place to go and visit. You learn about the big steer and stump. Also this is in the Highland Park area which is a very nice place to take your family at the play ground . There is also a baseball diamond for Minor league games . Lots of picnic areas. There is also a covered bridge you can wald across.
Mildly interesting kokomo landmark that warrants maybe a 15 minute visit if youre reeeeally good at finding things to be interested by. Cant get close to the stump, and glare tends to make it hard to see.I usually take people here as a joke, to show how uninteresting kokomo is.
Amazing iconic landmarks of Kokomo
Nice piece of history located in a really nice park
IT is big. Probably the best sight in town.
A Highland park a great place to have fun with kids
Highland Park is a Kokomo treasure. Grew up at that park. From the playground to walking the Indian trails. There is so much to see and do, and dont forget a treat for the ducks and squirrels too. Fishing, jogging, biking, and disc golf too. So much fun for everyone no matter if your eighty or two.
Nice park. Must stop and see when youre in kokomo
Its a stump and a big steer. Bigger than I expected.
This is the most silly thing about Kokomo. Whenever someone is new and asks what there is to do in Kokomo I bring them here.
Big ole steer lol
Great park for family fun, group get togethers or events.
The park was peaceful but I couldnt get a good pic of the big cow and giant stump because the glass cage surrounding it had a terrible glare and the museum was closed...bust!
Nice place to meet and picnic.
Boring
A tree stump and a cow, but both are impressive
Interesting piece of history. Educational. Wish we could have gone in to see it, because its hard to see the whole stump through the Windows, and there is no good way to get a picture with the glare. It was a nice park and worth the stop.
Its a stump and a dead farm animal. Meets the description as advertised.
Nice little spot to take a break while letting the kids play.
Great history
Two big parts of Kokomo history.
