Absolutely loved it and would definitely go again! The kids were thoroughly enchanted and so were the adults! After the story time when they released the snow it made it even more magical!

We love the train. During Christmas time they read a story, provide free hot chocolate and gingerbread man. They also have small concessions you can buy. The cars are enclosed with fans and heaters. The windows open on hot days, and they have an open air car for enjoying the sights. The whole trip is about 90 minutes and a ton of family fun.

Children and parents alike enjoyed the Christmas Express. The children didnt want to leave! Decorated cars, an open car, the refreshments car, the holiday story... All made for a great family experience; creating memories that will last for years to come!

Really enjoyed the All Hallows’ Eve Special. There’s an open car for you to get some fresh air and much greater view of everything you’re passing. Also a snack car, which is nice.It was great to take the ride at night, but I’d definitely like to go back and see everything in the daylight.I’m glad there’s something like this in Knoxville. Prices aren’t bad and it’s a great way to see the city from a different perspective.

It was a unique thing to do on a Saturday afternoon with the kids. Would of been nicer if there was more scenic views rather than seeing all of the University, all the sports fields and construction yards.

A must do Knoxville experience. A slow down and enjoy the sights and some local color. Staff and equipment, thumbs up. The Halloween decorations, different themes for each car. Our ride today was the second in 2 weeks. I cant believe weve not taken advantage of the 3RR until now.

Nothing was wrong with staff or the train itself! But my complain is the route is not that wow you would pay considerable top Dollars $$$... If I would drive parallel and along the river/ Nyaland Dr/ toward South Knoxville, it is more enjoyable!!!

I have done this twice and loved it both times. We bring a back pack with some sandwiches and have dinner on the train. There are three cars, each with a different theme and one car has a story teller and/or a guide to tell you about whats going on (i personally prefer the frontmost car as its usually fairly empty or the open car where youre outside an able to see everything around you).

Had a wonderful Christmas ride with the whole family. The staff was delightful, story time was great & the Junior Engineers were delightful! Riding outside on the open car was extra fun for the little ones and the adults had fun watching their reactions the entire time. Ticket prices are a little high, but it was money well spent. Santa made an appearance & the afternoon was a success!

We have taken train rides on the Three Rivers Rambler since it first opened. I love how they keep changing up with the season to keep the experience new. The conductors are very knowledge and Rick was especially helpful on our last trip. I recommend this for anyone of any age. It is fun for kids or is sweet for couples and it is nostalgic for those wanting to remember.

This was a unique Christmas experience as I took my two grandchildren (4 & 6 year old). Unfortunately the train is very old and is overdue for an update. The seats and facilities are in poor condition and Unfortunately this takes away from the experience. The open air car is in very poor condition with wooden seats that can easily create splinters for the kids. The train ride looks more fun than it really is.

Excellent views of the bridges and rivers near downtown Knoxville. Definitely choose a seat on the right side as you head out. You will get mostly better views on that side of the train. The staff was excellent, and extremely friendly to our young kids. Very family friendly thing to do in Knoxville.

Upon arriving at the new University Commons depot, everything was brand new & clean. My family and I rode the Spring train with the outdoor car since the weather was perfect. My 6 year old son had a blast since hes been a train fan since he was 2. We have been on other train rides before but this was our first ride with a steam engine and we all had fun. They do have train tables in the depot & on the train so if your little one is one of those that gets upset when they have to leave them, consider yourself warned. I would definitely recommend this train as the staff is courteous and the scenery is wonderful.
