One of the best places to run in Knoxville or to walk your dog. The homes are beautiful and the river is breathtaking and peaceful. Bring a blanket and snacks or a book, a friend, go to exercise... This area has lots to offer anyone who wants to get outside. If you come to Knoxville for a visit youre going to want to go there just to be immersed in the valley environment nestled in the upper crest mansions of Knoxville. Theres been lots of renovations also so this is the time to go.

A neat place to jog, bike, or walk. You kind of can walk a loop, but be prepared to go on the grass - there is no distinct trail running along the river. Parking was plentiful at least on Sunday afternoon.

A very enjoyable and convenient spot to enjoy nature. Great for a family walk, a run with the dog, or a game of spikeball in the field. 4 star because it could be mowed more often and hard to enjoy all of it when the grass is high.

We got take out and went there to eat dinner by the river on the recommendation of the restaurant. It was a nice stop with bathrooms, key when you’re on a road trip. Plenty of space to run around. Lots of people there walking their dogs. Not much for the kids to play on, just some workout bars.

Good running trail. The upside is the trail is gravel so its soft impact for your knees. The downside is the trail is gravel so you end up with gravel in your socks. Rich neighborhood so there are really nice houses to look at as well as the scenic Tennessee river. There is a public restroom with baby changing station.

I have grown up in Knoxville. I have fond memories of Sequoyah Park from decades ago. Having said that, we were walking our dog Bailee and not only was it convenient, it was Peaceful! Theres something about the tranquility of walking near water, even if it is the Tennessee River lol @WeRimproving. I noticed a lovely baseball park that was well maintained. Ofcourse, as were walking, Im admiring the enchanting homes. SO much has changed, and Some things stay the same. In this case, thats Good for this nostalgia zealot. Thanks Sequoyah Park

This is a great place for a walk or run, and you can choose between walking by the river or on a tree-lined gravel path on Cherokee Boulevard. Its about a 5 mile loop if you walk the whole length, or if you want to go further you can continue going on the greenway.

This is a park along the TN river were people often come to walk their dogs off leash. The wide open fields are kept mown and there are no concrete walking paths. I love this park because it is wide enough to were my dog can roam off leash and wont get into any trouble (like getting into the road). People also come to have picnics in the summer under the beautiful large trees and to eno. There is no playgrounds but it does have drinking fountains and a bathroom at one end as well as a workout area.

I grew up going to this park. This is a very relaxing, respectful community park. They have running trails throughout the neighborhood and several acreas of property that you can enjoy along the river. It is a pet friendly community park which you can enjoy laying in the field, reading or even play football. If you go to Seqouyah Park you need to be mindful of their well prestige community and keep it beautiful.

Lovely views but many frustrating dog owners. Ive been here a number of times over the past 2 years and its the same every time; at least half of the people with dogs have their dogs running loose, off leash. This is not a dog park nor is it an off-leash park.

I might give it a 5, but this is based on one visit. My other half raved about it from an earlier visit and how she liked the kayak friendly ramp. We went together with our two dogs. She was correct. Not at all busy...only two boat trailers. Moderate lake traffic. As I read this, I see this is more of a water review, but the whole area seemed so peaceful. Next time we go, I may upgrade it to five stars.

Knoxville leash laws are not enforced at all here! There was a cop sitting in the parking lot and around 50 dogs running loose in the area. I had to fend off multiple dogs from trying to jump up on me, larger ones were running into my 6yo. Owners need obedience lessons more than the dogs; they are responsible when they take them out in public. The worst was that no one would clean up their dogs poop; the park stinks, and is nearly impossible to walk through without stepping in a big pile of dung!

One of my favorite places. Many places to hang a hammock or throw a frisbee. You can set off from a dock in a kayak or small boat. And in the spring the dogwoods are in full bloom and a must see on Cherokee(the road it is located off of).

Beautiful stretch of park behind a rich subdivision. Besides hours posted, there doesnt seem to be any rules here as youll beware of doggy landmines, couples emerging from the shrubbery, and athletes getting the sweat on. No local restrooms either. There seems to be countless dog owners walking here because there is a local adoption & rescue center about a mile away. The volunteers take the mutts here daily for show & exercise. I might get the husky myself.

Great park to run in! Gravel greenway stretches the length of the park (5mile loop) or you can run by the river or take any combination of scenic roads going through one of Knoxvilles oldest neighborhoods. Depending on which side of the park you run you get a flatter/easier run (scenic/Sequoyah park end) or a hill fest (Kingston Pike entrance). Either way, great park to walk or run in.It is lit at night on the gravel path, but its fairly dim so be cautious.
