I really like this park location and views, but one thing missing for babies, toddlers, and kids is a swingset. Wed be able to love it more if it had swings like Anchor, The Cove, and other local parks.
This park has always been a go-to! They have outside tennis courts, soccer and running area, a splash pad and even a full course of disc golf. youll be able to come back plenty of times and have plenty of fun
The open field area gives plenty of room for kids to run and the park is well equipped!
Love everything it have to offer the kids. From the splash pad to the park.love the lake view and its toddler friendly.
This park is great for the whole family. It has basketball and tennis quarts. Playground and slash pad for the children. Lots of tables spread out around the park. If your a boater bring that too. There is a boat launch. It feiendly and always very clean.
Quiet, clean and beautiful view at the boat dock, also has a child water park
Nice park bye the lake access to boat dock an water park for kids.
Nice, quiet park when it isnt summer.
I love this park its great for kids and families. They got great little trail that connects to Admiral its not a very long trail but its got beautiful scenery. They have a splash pad for the summer time lots of picnic tables and boat access with boat parking. They have a tennis court and basketball court another paved walking trail that goes around the front. Lots of benches along the way. I love to bring my kids here you can even do a little fishing. Just please pick up after yourself.
Love this place. Not too crowded during the week.
Nice park. Picturesque
Nice clean park, we stayed in Knoxville for the night and went to this park to let the kids play, on our way to the Smokies. Very clean and well taken care of. The splash park was nice and the views were great. Very hilly park, nice water, has adequate restroom facilities.
Good walking path and splash pad!
The forest natural trail is fantastic for kids. Connecting to Admiral Farragut Park, it meanders through dense woods along the scenic banks of the TN River. The cliff banks are a fun area for exploration.
Great place to take the kids
Great outdoor space for social distancing meeting.
Hidden gem! Great splash pad
My four star rating takes into account the many amenities available at the park. We used to take my stepson to the park to play in the splash pad area. He loved the water on a hot summer day. They also have decent restrooms, tennis courts and a big field for football or soccer. Our trip this afternoon was in pursuit of an outdoor basketball goal. They have one full court and one half court (3 goals). The goals are standard 10ft and one can still see the (faded) lines, for the 3 point arcs, the freethrow lines and the paint. However the blacktop could stand to be redone.
Great for kids of any age!
Great Park but put the rims back on the basketball goals. You would have like 6 more people go there daily
This is a great little park in the Northshore / Concorde area. The only downside is that the entrance is on a bend in the road and sits a little lower so it can be a little hard to see. The only visual indicator is a small green sign giving the parks name. They have several outdoor activity areas to enjoy. They have a playground at the lower end and a splash pad (water is only on during the summer until Labor Day) at the top of the hill for the little ones to have fun in. There is a large field for sports and other activities. There are a couple of basketball and tennis courts, and the park has a walking track that goes around it. There are picnic areas and also a boat launch for those that need access to the water.
Great water park is back up and running. Unfortunately the swings and slides are still shut down.
The splash pad(witch is the only reason that we went here) wasnt working. City employees showed up about 30 minutes after the water stopped and after 45 minutes to an hour of them working on it told us that we would be better off to just go somewhere else. ️
It’s small compare to large national parks but if you love river and nice quiet place to sit and chill (also sheds ) .. this is your go to place near Knoxville . There are tennis courts, basket ball hoops and three playgrounds for kids . Few sheds to bbq . Rest room available .. overall nice .
Great place to take the kids
Nice park, but the kids splash pad is broken.
My friends and I had a good time here. Nice and friendly environment
I definitely enjoyed this park. There is a lot to do. It is also perfect for kids. Playgrounds are in good shapes.
Great place to cool off with the kids!
Beautiful well kept park. Great for families!
Had a wonderful time with my family
Great place to drop a boat in and fish!
I love the swinging bench overlook the water and the sunset when you catch it.
Splash pad is fun for the kids. Downside is very limited shaded areas. Seems like several birthday parties, so all covered areas where taken. My suggestion, go later in the day.
Beautiful place to enjoy the great outdoors. Playground, picnic tables, walking paths, and lake access. Not my first visit and wont be my last
Many things to do with kids of all ages. Splash pad is nice too
My family took us out for a boat ride and fishing experience this park is fantastic wheel of the pier and the convenience of having the bathroom nearby when my son was younger we also what does at the splash pad so much fun
This rating felt 3 stars because of the size of the park. It is quite small and doesnt have near as many items for children to play on some of the other parks in Knoxville. My grandchildren that I took here are under 6. They really did not act as if they were bored, but they have seen and played in the larger parks. Im deeply suspect that a few more trips and they will be clamoring to go to the larger ones. if you have young children and live close then please dont let this three star rating keep you from letting them play there.
Smaller playground but still very nice!
I love Carl Cowan Park because it is peaceful and serene. You can see a lot of different boats and ships that have barges attached to them.
Great park. Cover over benches could be bigger for better shade, but splash pad was awesome.
Its a good park and playground. The spray ground is the most popular and fun I. The summer heat.
Love the splash pad here. Couldve used a warning they were shutting it down as it was in the upper 80s & it was off.
Ive been here twice and both times were great, lovely place once the sun goes down
The trails between the two parks along the river are the best place to spend your lunch hour. If you have kids there is an incredible playground. With benches, amazing trails, views, basketball, and soccer, this is one of the best parks in Knoxville.
Good park for 3 year old daughter. Splash pad was a lot of fun for her.
Great beautiful park! There is a splash pad, new plastic playground, full court basketball and a seperate halfcourt basketball. A medium field you could use for soccer and tennis courts. There is a loop around the field so you can walk, run, roller blade. Also, there is a family swing that looks out onto the lake (my favorite part).
My children and I love this park. We love hiking in the woods and all the big rocks to fish off of.
It’s more of a simple playground with a great splash pad. All that is needed is some shade for the playground, it gets way to hot and can burn. The splash pad is amazing and all the kids enjoy it but same thing more shade and benches for parents. I recommend everyone to try out this park, the kiddos will love it.
Nice park
Nice relaxing spot!! Definitely worth the drive!!
Nice place to take family with a lake view.
Beautiful day. The park is clean and lots of space for shade
As a photographer, I am able to find many different scenes to use as backdrops for my glamour photography.
Nice park with clean restrooms! They have a little water park for children. Picnic tables areas with covers for shade.
Nice park.was there to celebrate family member birthday.well maintained, bathrooms as well. .
There is not a lot of shaded areas or places to sit. I recommend bringing lawn chairs and posting under a shade tree.
Nice spot for families
Love the lake view
Nice and well maintained park on the waters edge. Good walking paths and large grassy areas for play or picnics. My favorite part was the bench swing for 2 or 3 people facing the lake.
Great splash pad for kids, and its free. There are also picnic areas.
Its a great place to bring ur kids to play in the water it has a splash pad and a park
We love Carl Cowan park! They have a playground, splash pad, basketball and tennis court I believe, and picnic tables. You can find a trail to a secret spot on the lake and just sit on the rocks over the water, or splash around all day on the splash pad! Trash cans and restrooms thank goodness. Its a great place to get away for the day and have a picnic.
This is a beautiful park on the water. Shady picnic tables. Nice playground. Spacious, clean. Perfect for families.
Another great waterpark for kids to cool off and have fun
Great park and sweet people exercising and playing with the amenities!
Had a blast in the water park and the regular park this is a good place to take your kids lol
First time there, my kids loved it! We will be back.
Peaceful, quiet trails, great picnic area and splash pad
Cute playground and awesome splash pad! Beautiful location!
Love the Water Park.So does the Dog
Very nice and shaded places to park.
Very scenic, well conceived park
The track is super duper big. I also like that the tennis place had two courts. I like that really big Hill.
A beautiful park on the water, with a kid friendly climbing playground andYour bank card and your number so I can get money out
Nice little park with splash pad.
Beautiful little park!
Great place to unwind and take a walk. Great place to make a friend.
So beautiful and so much to do!
Clean, safe playground for toddlers to play in and they have a splash pad!
One of the many parks that makes living in this part of Tennessee great! Theres a good place to put the boat out from, great fields for games with your friends, and a short yet gorgeous waterfront trail through the woods that leads to Admiral park! The entire waterside of this park is relaxing and pretty.
Great I love the splash pad for the grandkids
Fun times!
Very nice park but crowded.
The playground is closed still
Nice park on to the lake
Fun place to bring kids they have hidden trails a splash pad water area where the water is coming from al kinds of things. Have place to put ur boat in. Have wooden docks has park areas with swings slides ect. Does have a restroom area.
Perfect for a stroll through the woods. Just like the movie Into the woods, but without Meryl Streep and all the other characters. Oh yes and there wasnt really musical going through the woods just great little hike.
