Opposite side of domtar park is the river walk that has a great foot bridge over the Holston River and when across the btidge you are on the Cherokee Nation land and there is a memorial wall there telling about the grounds and history. A small playground for the little ones, but best of all there are geese and ducks to feed. So bring several loaves of bread to feed them, really enjoyable and fun to watch.
Nice quiet place to walk. One review on here mentions that it used to be called Riverfront Park. However, Riverfront Park which is now called Boatyard-Riverfront Park is on the other side of the river from Domtar Park.
Enjoyed watching the kids play here. Fields 1 thru four are on the left side and five thru seven are on the right side of the park. Wish there had been more room to spread out seating wise it was somewhat of a tight space.
Very nice place the company has created for our use!
Love this place as an of leash dog park! Its pretty much an island so you dont have to worry about wandering too much. Or dogs love it here!
A nice, quiet and cool place to relax if but for a minute!
Nice shaded areas to eat. Its part of the Greenbelt Trail & its right on the water
Great baseball and softball park. 8 fields in the whole park. Also a small playground.
Peaceful place to visit and lots of geese so watch out for them
I love this serene place and pic nicely areas.
Lovely scenery and clean.
Bathrooms nasty, they should take that money and use to clean them up, everything else was clean.
Great baseball fields
The best part is the side of the island with the ducks on it.
Ball park on the river. I like to go sit by the river and listen and watch the river. Its very peaceful, however somewhat loud with the interstate traffic overhead. Still a nice park.
Beautiful. Lots of ducks and geese.
Beautiful and peaceful..
Pretty good time
Nice and clean. Kids loved it
Americas favorite past time
Alot of memories are made here . Good family fun.
Great Indian reserve park!! Just a nice experience!! I feed the ducks with my husband and kids!! Love it!!
Definitely a great family venue and right by the greenbelt. Very conveniently located from anywhere in Kingsport and even near enough for Virginia residents as well. Peacefully perfect, this little park is great! Just watch out for the goose poop!
Took the kids to the swinging bridge. This is a very nice and clean park. Will definitely be going back.
Super nice place
Great for kids
A great place to go catch a glimpse of our future superstars!
Great place to go! Swinging bridge is a lot of fun!
Nice facility.
Very nice facility
Very clean and beautiful scenery.
Its a very nice place to go and relax however there isnt any place there to use a restroom so therefore dont plan on staying long if the need arises.
The park was nice and had a river. The park had picnic tables and you could have a cookout there.
Park is nice but it stinks so bad I had to cover my face. The stinch is nausiating
This place smells exactly like Mark Sidebottom! This human piece of garbage ruins the air quality anywhere and everywhere he goes.
Great place to get some exercise, have a picnic or let the kids play. Beware the Geese!
Came here on my vacation..kids had fun..beautiful park
Nice ball park, but not really maintained. Needs a lot of work on the fields
Beautiful views, lots to do. Fun for all ages and something for everyone!!
For all you old shoolers this used to be Riverfront Park which is now Domtar Park just a little info. Any who I love to come here and just relax. There are a number of things to do here. They have a playground for your children, you can fish, feed the ducks and geese, but watch out during nesting season the geese can be pretty territorial, and they have a swinging bridge which goes across the Holston River. Little bit of history the island that the swinging bridge goes to is called Long island and at one point all seven clans of the Cherokee Nation used to meet here and have a huge party and trade their goods and stuff. This is one of their ceremonial grounds so please be nice and dont litter and pick up after yourself and others if we all help it will be a litter free world once again, we should take a play from the playbook of the Cherokee and learn from them please.
Loved it wish i lived here clean area courtious people everything was cheap except my room
We took my mom to the park on her birthday we had a blast
This is a great place for softball, tee-ball, baseball. They have awesome fields, also a batting cage and a playground for the children. They also have concession stands, restrooms and seating to watch. A wonderful place.
A nice facility for the family and kids to play ball
The smell is horrible. The overpass is scary walking children under and it is very crowded with little sitting. The bathrooms are always a mess. Could definitely benefit from some improvement
I enjoy this a lot. Swinging bridge, picnic tables, walking trails. Just dont breath. Eastman in the air will cause birth defects.
Not safe at night.
Always clean fields and very nice umpires
Great time, actually warm to be so cold. I love the river and even I26 zipping by overhead.
Great place to walk, feed ducks and geese.
Love it
Very nice facility. Need to very observant for foul balls though
My kids play ball here and the fields and area are nice. Only reason I wont give it 5 stars is I feel the concessions are too pricey and I wish they would fix the water fountains...they work but water is not cold at all. I feel this and the concessions go hand in hand.
Mounds are trashed. They dont take care of the fields. Need shade or canopies for foul ball coverage. Smells like death
Nice clean park to visit with good parking
Love that park keep up the good work Domtar
Great fishing
Nice relaxing place
I love this park!
Great baseball faculty for kids
Smells exactly like Domtar. The citizens of Kingsport are losing brain cells by the thousands.
Domtar Park is much more than a ball field. The land once belonged to Native Cherokee Indians and has been used for many things over the years. A marker telling its history is nearby. Many people enjoy the ballgames and strolling along the trails beside the river daily.
Nice place for contemplation.Too many Geese though......nasty and annoying things just mess the pathways up with cr@p from one end to the other.
Great municipal ball field.
Nice baseball/softball park. Lots of fields. Concession stand prices are reasonable.
A neat set of ballfields, play areas in a very historic setting
An awesome baseball park
Fun place to take the kids if you like playgrounds hiking biking and a little adventure
This place is usually pretty good at loading quickly. However, if you are here for multiple hours, it will be more than likely be due to a product shortage or a production machine going down. If this happens, make sure that you keep up with detention time and verify that the manager during that shift is aware of your arrival time so that they can contact your company / broker / etc... and get you paid. Usually this place is a 1 hour average loading time warehouse and is also available for Receiving and Shipping 24/7 excluding company recognized holidays... call in advance with your pickup number and verify they have the product and give yourself a head start...MUST WAIT INSIDE DURING ALL LOADING AND UNLOADING AND MAKE SURE YOU STAY INSIDE UNTIL YOU ARE CHECKED IN OR YOU WILL BE SKIPPED GUARANTEED!!! Make sure you have a trailer that 10 years old ot newer, and that its clean and dry! Overnight parking available but not advertised. You can stay as long as you need to reset your hours or whatever the case is, also there is a bathroom and drink and snack machines and a table and chairs to sit inside the driver lounge/ check-in office. Also loads are very heavy so plan on hauling 40,000 lbs plus! Stay safe out there my fellow drivers!
Nice clean and quiet
We love playing travel ball here. GO DIAMOND ELITE 14 U
Very nice and well kept.
We love games at this park.
Very clean and plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. Will have to come back for a game!
Fun place to be
Dont know anything about it
Its a good park
Great place to walk dogs, has picnic tables, volleyball court as well as ball park. Sights on the south fork Holston river and Indian reservation. Clean and free
I really just drove by there. The red light caught me lol
It was very pretty
My dog loves this place its nice well maintained no litter
Fields are like concrete, everytime we play here players leave injured from sliding. The dirt looks soft but is more like gravel on top of cement.
We fish here most of the time.
Great sports complex for any ages 8 & up
A great place for the whole family. Good food and prices at the concessions.
Relaxing.
Everybody loves little league
Took my granddaughter here and she absolutely loved it...
The geese here are insane but wont bother you unless you bother them
Has ball fields walking trails along the river. You can fish here along the sluice or main part of the river. You can continue down the island to the swinging bridge and cross over to a park on the other bank of the South Holston River and connect to the Kingsport Greenbelt walking trail.
Great clean environment for the youth to play ball.
Great play ground really nice!!
The park and feeding the ducks is great but unfortunately we will not be going back since there is a lot of violence happening on the greenbelt right now its sad that people have to mess things up!
No public bathrooms if the ballparks are closed
Nice park beautiful ball fields
