This is one of my favorite hikes I have found since moving to the area almost a year ago. Even though you are in a corner between I-40 and Highway 93 it feels like you are totally isolated. This is a truly “western” landscape and the canyon and rock formations are amazing. Definitely check this hike out. But do be careful and aware of where you are because there are a lot of trails and they tend to loop around on each other and the directions are not marked well.

The Monolith Garden Trail is not a well known place to make an excursion, but I must say it is worth to spend there two, three hours. You will not be disappointed . You can take lot of photograph of the awesome monoliths and canyons . In Spring time you can gaze at the beautiful blooming cacti.

Awesome desert hike with gorgeous views of rock formations. The trail is well maintained; good for hiking, mountain biking and trail running. A few free-range cattle near the trail. Lots of intersecting trails to increase mileage if one wants to. Easy to find; close to town. Great after work hike or weekend adventure with family or friends.

Nice hiking area. We found a lot of markers, but at some point none were visible anymore. If you hike during summer time, take enough water and salty snacks with you.At the end we had a 3hrs round trip and approx. 14km/9mi on the monolith round trip

Nice easy hike, beautiful natural habitat for the wild life. A rattle snake crossed our path, you can tell they are afraid of people and hurry away, but be on alert. We also saw a quale and her young scurry into the bushes.

This was a fun trail! beware theres a lot of washed out spots that made it difficult to see the trail. We ended up off trail twice. Nearly got lost towards the end but found our way back thanks to familiar landmarks like the pix posted.

This is a great trail for the daily rides with views you just wont see anywhere else. Lots of options. Take my boys on this ride all the time. Should you feel the need to shorten the trip, there are plenty of cutoffs to do that. BLM has done some maintenance to it and has helped out the trail a lot. Be courteous of the area and dont blaze new trails. Pick up yr trash also.

Great trails for running! Bring a lot of water, these trails are braided and it can be easy to go off in the wrong direction.
