Me and my fiance enjoy going to Woodland Park. Ive always enjoyed myself in the past when ever Ive visited the park. Especially when ever Im either watching or feeding the birds. How ever once in a while a person will encounter something like a White tailed dear. Which is always very cool to experience. But theres also the occasion when a person might come across either someone or something that might make you feel a little uneasy.
Since the fast food dining room was closed we went to Woodland Park. Tall trees, a rose garden, a small lake, a 30 foot fountain in the lake, anda number of empty picnic tables. It was around 5 or 6 and we still had to drive back to Helena, so we didnt spend much time other than eating our meal. Looks like a great place to walk with a trail around the lake. One lap would probably be a mile.. but that is just a guess. I didnt see any childrens playground toys but they may have been at a location we couldnt see on the other side of the lake. The park was a quiet oasis only a few blocks off the main thoroughfares. It would a great place to stop to lets kids run off some energy when traveling...or just to go for a nice pleasant walk. Watching the ducks on the small islands in the lake would be enjoyable, too.
Woodland Park is great, been going there since I was a child and called it the Ducky Park. Called that because of the huge amounts of ducks there. It has a great walking trail, nice garden areas, benches everywhere, gazebos to meet and eat a water park, and as mentioned ducks. Great place to take the family especially kids, there are also playgrounds so they wont get bored and if you bring bread its fun to feed the ducks. Its a great park so if your in Kalispell check it out.
We looked for a park we could walk our dog Nugget at. We found Woodland Park in Kalispell. Very nice park with walking paths that meander around the pond. Very pretty fountain and lots of ducks. Older park but taken care of. Worth a visit
Beautiful Park with a large variety of gorgeous big old trees, lovely flowers and a nice paved walking path around the pond. Pretty birds and wildlife with a new playground area for your kids! There is also a waterpark/pool and a Skateboard park.
This park is good and has potential! Parks and Recs and volunteers have been working on it for the last year. It is a great place for pictures with many water sources, bridge and many unique trees! New playgrounds, a skate park and a Pool! Not quite up to what is was when I was a kid but I have confidence that if the Parks & Rec keep doing what they are doing and the locals keep up on it, it will be a 5 star park in the next 2 years.
Beautiful river, park and flower garden. Lovely water features and paved walking paths. Clean public restrooms.Great place to record our daily #honeymoontour video!
The park has really improved since all the mean ducks are gone. And the play equipment is much safer since being updated last summer.
Love this park! So huge and much to explore. Lots of little things to do
Ive been coming to this park with my family for years, and we come here to walk around during any season or weather. Now that theyve taken care of the water fowl issues, the water and foliage seem much healthier... And the new playgrounds are amazing! The biggest highlight for us is when we spot turtles in the water or basking on rocks, at which point there is a Turt Alert. As for negatives, I would say that rude people, too many people, littering people, and crackheads have definitely made some of our visits uncomfortable. However, I wont dock any stars for this because its not the parks fault if people suck.
Good walking trails. Not as many ducks so the park was cleaner than previous experience.
So much fun and a beautiful park. Great for kids. Always lots of ducks and geese. Gas station across the street sells duck/goose feed for cheap so you can feed them.
It was fun seeing the ducks but after the people that hit some of them wasnt nice to see that
Its a nice place for a walk. The play grounds are nice but theres usually quite a few people.
Very nice park. Clean, with beautiful scenery.
We loved this park with the ducks, a muskrat, squirrels and birds. There were lots of beautiful flowers in both flower gardens! There was a lot of trash in the water and the trash cans were overflowing, which was sad to see, however I would definitely visit this park again when Im in the area!
Very nice place to go walk and to take your children to. Very clean
Best shade trees in town, fragrant floral gardens and water features that are home to ducks, geese and turtles. A nice place to spend the afternon.
Nice park to stop for a walk or lunch with the family. Lots of ducks and geese to watch.
Best park in flathead to have family fun and play with the ducks!
Great place to take the kids, good walking paths, skate park, flower gardens, and pool with slides for summer fun. Two playgrounds, lots of pokestops and gyms also.
This cool and shady gem on the edge of Kalispell is perfect for family picnics and gatherings. We didnt use the Water Park, but its right there on the grounds.
This is one of the better parks Ive seen in a very long time. Its obviously been around a long time and it is so well kept that it doesnt feel old, if you know what I mean. The flower gardens are impressive. True to form, there are many woods in this park. And there is plenty of playground space and even a water park nearby. There is an ice center but I did not have a chance to look it over. The ponds are loaded with ducks and geese. Finally, there are plenty of trails for walking. What a treat!
Excellent playground equipment and well spaced.
Beautiful park to visit. Very relaxed and mellow.
Really nice park. Just have a complaint about one of the Woodland Camp staff {Alissa}. She sat at a picnic table with about 4 or 5 little girls listening to music not paying attention to ANY of the other little kids on playground. One little boy kept throwing a metal water bottle over the playset. I asked him to stop throwing it in fear of hitting another child, but he kept doing it or would just go to another part of playset and throw it more. When another parent went over to tell Camp staff she instantly got attitude with him and argued that she was doing her job just fine. I was there for an hour with my 17 month old grandbaby and didnt see her get up from picnic table once or really even pay attention to her whole group of kids playing on playset. I hope that someone will teach this young employee to not argue with parents of kids that are not in the program.
Beautiful peaceful quit, safe for all ages of children & convenient with restroom access
Awesome place to take kiddos. Or not great place for adult gatherings as well.
Theyve done an amazing job on the updates to the park.
Theyve completely re-vamped the playgrounds! All new toys including a new style of merry-go-round that is safer than the previous one. Fun place to go and feed ducks. You can buy duck food at the gas station across the street. Good place for picnic, or a glass of wine!
So wonderful! Loved how there were no homeless drunks under the bQ awning!
Its very quiet for a while even for intercity
Here, you can feed the ducks and geese. The gas station across the street has bags of food for very cheap that you can feed them. They just put up two new jungle gyms. They have beautiful gardens in the spring and summer. Nice walking paths, and there is even a water park and skate park there.
Its a nice place to take the kids.
Went at dusk and jogged with my dog around the pond, relaxing, beautifully landscaped, quiet...so grateful to have found a spot to feel comfortable
Upsetting to see city of kalispell maintenance kicking the homeless out without any notice and collecting all there belonging then throwing it away into the trash as the homeless yelling at them not to take what they have for warmth
Such a nice park with a walking path, a seasonal water park, ice rink and a playground.
Cold but beautiful. Had my grandson and he found a friend to play with. There was lots of ducks and some geese that were being fed by people. And when the people walked away with the food the Ducks followed the food. Had a lovely time even though it was very cold.
Great park to take the family or just go walking with the ducks!
Great place for outdoor exercise and lots of fun with the new playground equipment!
The park, and skatepark are great, but during evening hours the kids who hang out there, are rude, and dont care about little kids.
Peace full place to escape for some tranquility
It was a pretty cool park. There were some folks there that made our visit a little uncomfortable.
The flower gardens and paths for strolling.
Great outdoor ice rink! Love playing hockey there just bring your own water. Theres no play to fill your water bottle.
A very nice park near downtown Kalispell and the Conrad Mansion. Pavilions, playgrounds, open fields for family fun, waterfowl, and more. Great place to visit with natural beauty.
Beautiful place. Love the ducks and geese. Only problem because of season bathrooms not open. Plenty of Pokeman Go stops and gyms to play!
Nice little city park with friendly ducks!
This is a very fun place. It even offers a kids playground for the little ones. But dont worry there is a teen playground with taller and more extreme equipment.
As a child this was a safe and very fun park. It is no longer that way. I do not feel safe here I would not bring my little people to this park.
This is a calm quiet place with a playground for kids.
We frequent this place to walk our dog, plenty of ducks and geese usually.
Nice park. Great playgrounds. Gazebo for events. Aquatic Center. Skate park.
Its getting cleaned up which is nice
A great, peaceful and diverse park. A large and natural looking pond dominates the west end below a nicely wooded hillside. On our September visit, the area was filled with native and domesticated ducks and geese. The remainder of the park was a mix of trees, grassy areas and formal gardens. It was well used by locals on our weekend visit. The nice childrens play structures were being repaired and thus closed, much to the disappointment to a 3 year old with us. This is a very lovely gem of an urban park and well worth a visit.
Very peaceful park. SO many geese and ducks! Even though it was the dead of winter, was lovely.
Amazing urban green space.
Lovely spot for a picnic and relaxing!
Good park to walk and relax. Sketchy at night though.
Great place to take the kids. Feed the ducks, have a birthday party, go swimming at the waterpark, or skating at the skate park. Summer or winter.
Clean and beautifully upkept.
My girls love the clean park and ducks
This is a beautiful park to spend time in. The grass is nice to walk on and the huge trees are beautiful. The ponds are full of ducks & geese and so fun to feed with bread. The downside of that is that there is duck and geese poop all over the grass by the ponds that is very hard to avoid stepping on.
A great hockey venue. Would love to come back and have a go on ice pond rinks as well.
Feeding ducks and pushing my daughter on the swings
Very nice place for a walk, especially following a recent renewal project that cleaned up a lot of overgrown areas around the perimeter of the park. They also have plenty of playground equipment for kids, and even some outdoor exercise equipment for adults. Of course, theres also the Waterpark and ice skating rink open seasonally.
Beautiful!
My kids love going there and being around the ducks and geese there
Great place to bring the little kids to see the ducks and geese
Wonderful. . .verry beautiful and serene!!
I go there daily. Its a sanctuary for squirrels, ducks, geese and other animals. I get great enjoyment from observing the wild life. The squirrels are my favorite. I had them eat right out of my hands. There arent many things I do for entertainment because of my disabilities but the animals provide great entertainment.
This is a great place. Ducks ponds water slides an d overall fun any time of year
Lovely flower displays
Great family atmosphere...
Great place for a walk and to take pictures.
Great and relaxing place. tho the ducks can get a little mean.
Great place to take the fam for a sweet picnic.
I hate giving a 3 star review to a park but it needs attention from the city before it gets more. Its neglected in my opinion and has an affinity for attracting homeless people and crime. Have seen multiple drug deals and sketchy things there when I would pass through riding my bike rides. Please give our park attention Kalispell and I will reconsider my rating.
So beautiful, can feed the ducks and geese on the little lake. Beautiful trails to walk and has a good water park.
This is a great park.
Great park and even better water park but be careful there is bird poop everywhere and the original small forest was chopped down
My favorite park in Kalispell. We love to feed the ducks and geese
Woodland Park is a city staple. It is a wonderful place full of nature and beauty. It’s kept beautifully by the city. You should go there.
Seven full-grown Canadian geese
Why do the sprinklers go off in the middle of the day when people are visiting there? Should switch the sprinklers to go off at night instead.New playground is fun for little kids.Dont like the new merry go round, it has seats where kids, and grown ups will fall off.
Very nice park for all ages. You have the young side with a nice slide, the big kid side with things like an entire play set and swings, and then there is the scenic walk area with beautiful scenery all around. Would recommend.
This has to be the best park in Montana
Great food. Esp2 the Frye brrad.
Great park for kids. New structurrs
I wish this park was maintained. The city seems to put this park on a back burner until thing get real bad. The shorelines are so eroded I will not let my kids leave the path. The drainage pipe for the pond is plugged and has been for years. The fountians are rarely ever on and the water fall is never on. There are downed tree branches all over the banks and bridges. The pond itself is starting to look loke a swamp. 20 years ago this park was beautiful. Now its just sad.
Love this park and the ducks
Its a very nice ark to take your kids to to feed. Ducks it has skate board park and a swimming. Pool
Awesome park... theres a pool park, skate park, and a river and lots of ducks! fun swing and slides as well. great place for family time
