I live about 4 miles from this park. Its what I have come to adore about Montana in general...nature is a hop, skip and a jump away. The Notch Trail is a novice trail that offers a real hikers reward at the end.The views are spectacular and breath taking, and the park is very well maintained. Dogs are welcome as long as you have them on a leash. Go, and enjoy!!

Herron park is great because you hike, bike, or bring your horses up. The parking lot is pretty small, and pretty busy in the summer. Overall it is a fun park with trails for most levels of hiker/biker.

The parkv was very well laid out and trails super well marked. Herron park has a little bit for everyone, the family trail was nice and easy for the kids. We saw lots of mountain bikers and hikers if all levels. Several of the adjacent properties are private but allowed non-motorized exploration on marked trails.

Great location for short to moderately long hikes. Close location to Kalispell is convenient for residents. A real treat is to hike there in the fall when the Larch turn colors. Good place to hike with children and dogs.

Great place to snowboard if youre willing to hike a bit, I would bring snowshoes if you have em otherwise youll be knee deep in powder. Lots of people walk dogs even in the winter so watch out if youre phobic. Bearmace is recommended. ~☆please dont litter.☆~

This is a nice park. They have nice hikes. The trails are not too steep. The trails are also shared with mountain bikers. The lower part of the park is setup for horse jumping. The top of the mountain has great views of the valley. Periodically they festivals at the park. Its about 5 - 10 minutes from downtown Kalispell.

Beautiful views from up on the notch trail. Very difficult to ski up, however. If you plan on skiing and are not experts, consider staying on the lower trails, and hiking up to the lookout.

This is a beautiful park with multipl trails that support horseback, Mtn biking and hiking/running.It can absorb many users without feeling crowded-in fact while you may see people in the parking lot, I rarely if ever see anyone on the trails!Beautiful, Scenic and close it should not be missed!
