A great place to go for short or long hikes. Amazing views over the valley. The level of difficulty is very low on most trails, and they are all connected and easy to navigate with clearly marked signs. Will most definitely be returning for more hiking adventures with the kiddos.

This a great little recreation spot. Theres hiking, multiple viewing spots, a visitor center, picnic and volleyball area. Additionally one the coolest things they got there is an archery range/course. As a bow hunter I go there often!

Its ok. Good for a quick hike, or if you want you can drive to the visitor center and get the same hilltop view by just walking across the bridge.

This is a neat park with several different hikes and you can look out over the distance for quite a ways. There were lots of flowers blooming and also the trees. We heard lots of birds singing. Met lots of friendly and helpful people as well.

Jo

To start with the obvious, the views are pretty awesome no matter the time of day. And secondly, its a very easy hike considering you can drive to, basically, the top and park. If one chose, you could park at the bottom and hike all the way to the top. This isnt too strenuous of a hike either, but this being Google maps and all, it could get difficult for the hard to move around crowd. At the top, whether youve chosen to drive or hike up, is a visitor center. It has all the usual, wheelchair parking, restrooms, and other facilities. I do believe its available for rent, or reservations of some sort, since my mother and brother were wed there. (NO, NOT TO EACH OTHER, CMON FOLKS!) Youd have to check with them for sure.Im any event, its worth the trip if you find yourself looking for something too do thats close to the Kalispell area, and dont wanna spend any cash.

Beautiful place to overlook the city of Kalispell. I grew up there. A lot has changed. But it doesnt bother me. If youre from out-of-state youll have to pay a 5 or $7 parking fee. You can see Flathead Lake. Big mountain or Whitefish ski area. Teakettle Mountain which leads to Hungry Horse Dam. And on your way to the dam stop and get freshwater running out of the Mountainside. Youll see a pull off and a big white pipe next to the Flathead River. We also saw deer well near the dam. You know what the fish said when he hit the damn right?

This is a beautiful state park on the outskirts of Kalispell. There are winding trails with multiple overlooks on the city as well as forest trails that weave throughout the park, and a visitor center with lots of animal exhibits that children are allowed to touch and interact with. We had a wonderful time here with our kids. Highly recommend visioning!

Paths were a little confusing but it was worth it to stick to it. We took the Lone Pine Trail to the Larch trail. It met back up with the Lone Pine trail back to the parking lot so we could do a loop. There was nice elevation gain and we saw three white-tailed deer. We only had an hour so it limited us.
