Moved here in 2015, and it gradually got worse. If this is your last resort then its fine, but dont expect anything to happen and them to be understanding . Fell through my porch, and told them about it immediately, and instead of fixing the porch. They fixed a couple steps. Told them about my lovely hospital bill, and get told it more than likely wont be covered. Granted they have neat neighborhood gatherings and all, but after they got taken over by meritus and bringing in new mobile homes they dont give a damn about anything but money. Literally was told we could not renew our lease and was forced to move in the middle of a pandemic. Granted everything happened for a reason, but be mindful.

Moved here from california. Paid rent online Jan 1st. Arrived the second week of January, drove from California. The place was mess, saw dust everywhere from installing fixtures/cabinets - wasn’t ready for us to move in at all. This was very frustrating since we paid rent on the 1st of the month we expected everything to be ready to go by the time we arrived. Took 2 hours to clean the apartment. No mail key was ready for us, we had to call the office every day asking for them & we finally got them a week after arriving. The manager is Jackie and I keep calling asking to speak with her, you can hear her in the background feeding answers to whoever you get stuck with on the phone. She does everything in her power to avoid speaking to the renters it seems. I even called to make an appointment for this Saturday to speak with Jackie & the woman said she would “need to see if anyone would be here” HAHA. They post they only accept appointments on Saturdays & yet I’m STILL struggling to get a hold of someone. This place needs someone to speak to them about professionalism & communication. The only person to keep their word here, returning phone calls & helping with issues is Andrea. She actually returns my calls & communicates well, I wish she was the manager - she deserves that position unlike Jackie. Jackie clearly doesn’t value her renters, or else I would have at least received one phone call from her by now. I’ve been here for a month now & I’m still chasing her.

We like living here.. Its quiet and peaceful where we are.. Kids love being able to go to the pool.. Office is quick to fix something when you call.. Been here a few months and have had no issues..

Low interest in care for residential dwelling.

No privacy, kids and adults walk through yards, strangers walking up on your porch all the time. Private community.. Not.. Our roads are considered a parking lot, our pool is public. loose dogs, stray cats, unregisted/ uninsured vehicles. Drug dealers, parties every night from 10 pm till 4 am. This includes loud music and people.Try and report an issue and your told, theres nothing the office can do.. Call the police. Need any maintenance.. Maybe they will get to you.

Office people are nice. Trailers are nice but too high, you can rent a house for same price. There are LOTS of potholes on the roads, cats stray running a muck spraying your home and such. Do NOT leave anything out even house plants get stolen. Oh, the pool is no longer private to residents.

Pit bulls run around freely and maul people, terrible roads. The op unstoppable white oak high school cross country team runs in the park thats about the only good thing. I would just say buy an actual house or apartment, hold on to your phone, wallet, keys and midsection.

I dont live here but all of the times Ive visited I have been very displeased with their roads. I mean jeez you can really mess up your car if you are not careful. However the trailer I went in was very NICE.

Decent area. Over packed by huge groups of people living in one trailer, so there is hardly room for you to park in front of your own residence. I guess its cause of all these Marines shaking up like barracks on base, since its so close to Camp Lejeune. Its really annoying. 7 people, 7 cars, one trailer. Really? You should probably stay on base, or atleast have common decency to allow someone else to park near their own place, and atleast try to hide the fact you have way too many people that probably arent even on the lease.But other than that, its not too bad of a place.

We moved out in September and they got our deposit wrong and now won’t answer ANY of my phone calls.

The number system they use for each street is weird.

Still recovering from last years hurricane, but in a good area, and quiet, not overcrowded.

Been working in this area and It seems okay I like that they have speed bumps so people are not racing down the roads while kids are out and about.

Love my new home! I used to hear rumors about this place but when I came and saw one of the homes myself my opinion of the place has changed. I love the women that work at the leasing office, they are wonderful people and really care about you. I havent had any major issues living here but when I do have something wrong they make sure they get it fixed. I would recommend living here to anyone who is looking for a great place, great price and great staff.

I have worked with Holiday City during a very stressful time before and after an overseas deployment. I wanted something close to base to where I dont have to be over an hour away from the Camp Lejeune main gate. Ive lived at two different areas; I purchased one trailer from Holiday City while I was in the Jacksonville area and was the easiest move in process and provided a safe area for my family. Right before I deployed, the staff worked with my spouse and was able to have an apartment waiting for me midway during my deployment. The rent is not at a killer price and they were able to work with me on the security deposits. No one can beat their prices!!! I have searched around the Jacksonville area and the prices are extremely jacked up. Over the 3 years I have lived within the Holiday City community, it has gone through a wonderful remodeling change and the community is looking great. They have started within the past year several events to bring the children together, and locals with sports and activities. I will recommend it to anyone to give them a call and try the experience for yourself!!! It has a been one of the greatest moves I have ever done since being in Jacksonville, NC.

I love the location!Quiet and very safe community, pet friendly with a lot to do. The apartments are reasonably priced and spacious. Maintenance staff is friendly. I just like being close to the family recreational park to ride my bike & go kayaking!

The management is shady and thieves they dont care abt their tenants just the money and with all the money they get they cant even fix the roads in there big pothole and all would not recommend them to NOBODY

I loved living here, they went out there way to help me in most my needs. The office staff are really nice, unless there cranky then that can be a different story. But were all human and have our bad days. It is a really nice and convenient place to live. Then cons would be the loitering by children. I deffinently would recommend anyone to move into the mobile home community dont say trailer park they get defensive haha.

There are huge potholes in roads. I stepped in one in the dark, lost my balance and fell. It could have resulted in a serious injury. My ankle is still sore

Great place to live

The work I do requires me to travel for the vast majority of the year for the last 10 years. So because I do not own a large truck and have no desire to pull a trailer around with me I stay in furnished or corporate apartments the majority of the time.The staff at Holiday city were easy to work with and very flexible in working out terms due to the uncertainty of how long I will need the apartment, The apartment it self is very clean and very nicely furnished with far better quality furniture, pots, pans, and every other kitchen items than I have ever seen any where else including ultra expensive Marriott Residence apartments. Another very important aspect that sets Holiday City apart from other similar local apartment complexes is cost. I am paying about %50 less than other techs at my work site who are also complaining about poor customer service and cheap appliances that do not work correctly. I on the other hand asked for glass to cover the brand new kitchen table to protect it from damage and the Excellent service staff and maintenance crew agreed ordered it up immediately. This apartment lacks for nothing, the price for what you get is more than fair and its excellent location provides quick and easy access to the base, shopping and recreation. I have no complaints at all.

Way too expensive for a small apt. Pets cant be over 40lbs. and its a real sketchy neighborhood. Cops are always patrolling through and theres some typical trailer trash living in this neighborhood. Way too expensive and I dont feel safe at night

Dont move here if you dont feel like being threatened to be kicked out on a monthly basis. eight years i have lived here, i have had my car towed five times, and have been threatened to be kicked out for not having window blinds, bicycles in the grass, dog not being on the leash, cops coming for domestic noise complaints to neighbors. And what ever you do, dont leave anything on the grass they will tell you they are going to kick you out for that and having a kid pool will not fly either. And yes most of this happen while i was deployed outside the wire, so if you are married hopefully you have a strong wife that can take care of business while your away. This place shot be on the red light list.

Crime, drugs and theft are high in this area. The trailers are pretty well maintained, but the streets and roadway are horrible. It surpasses pothole status and goes straight to craters. Drainage is also poor causing the street to flood at the rear of the trailer park

Stay away, we fully own our trailer and still get hassled, we just got an eviction notice of no pay but have a reciept. WE DID PAY!!! What kind of bs is this? They are just trying to scam us and try to own our trailer... we have NEVER missed a single payment and they try to lie and say we didnt... WOW

I have only lived here three days today the community tow truck giy gave me a ticket saying I have expired tags, my tags are not expired their actually good for another month, when I went to the office to discuss this the blonde manager snapped at me and started to yell at me if I want to talk then I was interrupted by theor own personal neighborhood tow truck giy who tried to argue with me that it was expired ....very rude not to mention inaccurate apparently this guy gets paid to go house to house and try to find a reason to give out tickets. Im leaving this place its a joke

First time i came to Holiday City.. The staff here was very welcoming,very helpful, very respectful.. they listen to whatever you have to talk bout in etc. i moved here in june 2013 . In its quiet everyone here is friendly indeed. I love this area my kids love it as well the school Hunters Creek Elementary is WONDERFUL. In just now signed a NEW lease because there so wonderful over here.. I know all the stuff personality in i help out in all events i can they even have the movie night for the kids n adult PARTIES . Anytime somethings going wrong in the house hold maintance is always helpful or even if u have a question they ALWAYS help out n help u n give u the best opinion they have to give. My feed back of Holiday City is Wondereful keep up the good Work..
