The playground is good for big kids as well as toddlers and babies. One of the biggest playground structure we’ve visited in the Beaches area of Jacksonville so far. Glad to have explored this place. It has a skatepark, picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a splash pad that we’ll ready for on the next visit. They have a great adult exercise areas around the Astro-turf field. Bring a soccer ball / football / whistle ball / whatever ball to play with your kids on the turf during the weekend. Weekdays the field seems to be used for organize sports training.

We LOVE this park! Its great for the entire family. Theres a big skatepark, football field, a track, tennis courts, a splash pad, and an epic playground for the kids. There are also exercise stations with equipment at several locations around the track. Covered patios with grills and picnic tables. Alot of picnics and parties used to happen (pre-pandemic)! The restroom facilities were always clean but are now closed for the pandemic.Kids and adults can ride their bikes, skateboards, scooters or skates and no one is bothered. Its a great place for active families and dog walkers. Everyone cleans up after their dogs which is great!! We have left things out there for hours and have come back at night several times to find our things unbothered. Ill have to rate it as the best park in Jax and we go to alot of parks all over the city!!!

My kids absolutely love this place. There is such a wide variety of things for them to do... They have the playground, the skate park, splash pads, a workout circuit, picnic tables some with grills, and there are restrooms and water fountains available.

I absolutely love this park!! Its a treat for parents and their kids! After playing in the hot sun my kids always go to the little water park and cool off. Its a perfect ending to a day at the park. There is so much to do at this park!

I take my grandson here almost every week. He loves it. The playground and little water park wear him out o Nana here can get some rest while he is napping when we come home. Thank you Jax Beach for this park!

Awesome park. Can anyone give me info on the sports being played there and if you have to be local or not? It would be unique if there could be meet up times for community flag football, volleyball, etc.

What a creative place to be! Theres so much to do in one area and the ocean is very close by. Theres a play area for the kids, a very nice skate board park, open soccer and football fields. Very clean. Plenty of parking.

I love this park, I play tennis here frequently. It’s right next to a skatepark, with a wide array of people from all ages! Be advised there is only ONE tennis court, and ONE full size basketball court. There is a small water park next to a benched area. If you’ve never been and have kids interested in skateboarding I highly recommend. I love watching the skaters hit their tricks !

The kids playground is entirely closed in with 2 way in and the same way out. Lots of things to play on and has a splash park. Great accessibity throughout. Fred!

Fun, place to bring my dog for time outside. Theres a skateboard area, a basketball court and the water play area.

Is a safe space and clean outdoors with the Firefighters station next to it .Family watch and young people are polite,nice environment. We always try to go with friends and families. So we watch to each other and have fun at the Sun !

Neat park. Great place to take the kids. I didn’t take a lot of pictures of this park but there’s plenty for them to run around and then hop over to the “splash pad” and cool down.

My kids love this park. It has a skate park, water park, fitness trail, volleyball. There is really something for everyone!

Very nice multiuse park for all ages. Played pickleball on the tennis court but the skate park was the most popular. Saw kids on scooters, roller blades, bikes and skateboards. Ladies were playing beach volleyball on the other side and people were using the field to work out and the track for the fitness circuit. Saw young kids in the water park having a good time, too, and the wooden playground has reopened.

Way to crowded. Hard to keep on eye on your children, the equipment is to crowded together and there is hardly any shade

What a great place to take the kids to play & use some energy!! Also has a cool skate park, volleyball courts, tennis courts and a nice turf football/soccer field. Definitely a 5* place.

What an awesome kids park and playground area. From climbing to multiple swings, to tunnels and even a picnic covered area, your kids will easily spend a few hours of fun here. Not too far from the Beach but in a quiet area and gated so the kids can run freely and enjoy.

Really cool park, but it could use more shade. I say that about every park in the blazing Florida sun though! They did add a tent type thing over the swings which is nice.If you have little ones, it’s good to go when there’s not that many people there because it’s really easy to lose them. There’s a lot of places for them to run and hide!They have a special little toddler area, which is nice too.There’s also the added bonus of the splash pad during the summer.They also have restrooms and picnic tables.

This park is fantastic. Weve been coming here for years and theyve just kept improving it. Theres a space specifically for little ones which is nice. My older kids arent worried about trampling toddlers when they run and play in the larger kid spaces. Great tire swings!

Such a great place for children to play. Play ground have ages for diffrent ages. A pavilion with picnic tables underneath it. Around the play area are plenty of benches to sit. Swings are also available from tire swings to baby swings. The play ground is fenced for childrens safety. Clean restrooms.

Bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of shade under pavilions at this playground and splash pad. Other amenities at the park include a skate park, soccer field, and a tennis court.

A community park that is clean and cared for. no vagrants hanging there.

Best family park around the water!

This park is worth the drive for me. People are always nice and there’s so much for kids to play on. There is a separate area for smaller kids which helps limit injuries that could occur from bigger kids not seeing them and trampling over them. The skate park is also a great fixture. Nice for younger kids to learn a thing or two, and it’s nice for older kids to have somewhere to go and hangout. I’d recommend this for anyone with a child/children. Good for play dates. There is also a large gate that has a clasp on it to keep all the kiddos inside and not just running into the busy parking lot.

The best park in town by far. I loved it. I took my kids every day. The beach atmosphere is stunning. The people are always so friendly. I feel very safe here. Love it

Awesome park! I like the rubber safety mulch for the kiddos. This place could use a face lift or a few new nuts and blots here or there but we really enjoy going here.

Restrooms are not open, I get it, but difficult with little ones

As the mom of an 11yo skate park aficionado, we always look for them when on vacation. This one is new to Jax Beach and is very well designed. My scooter rider wished for more areas to grind, this mom appreciated the shaded seating areas located centrally and all around the perimeter. Great vantage points for taking pics, a massive playground for younger kids, tennis, walking path, lots to love about this park.

This is definitely the nicest skate park in Jacksonville. I love going here, so does my son. The reasons Im not rating 5 stars is wholly due to a lack of regulation or enforcement of park rules: there is a LOT of cursing and profanity even from children (where are the parents?!?!?!), there have been multiple physical fights between children and teenagers (where are the parents?!?!?!), smoking and drug use even during the middle of the day, and there is always an accumulation of trash in the sitting areas. It is extremely disappointing that these children and adults trash their park and there is no one enforcing park rules.

Thw kids absolutely love this place!! Its so nice & clean and has so much to do to keep the kiddos occupied without them getting bored.

This park really has it all... a playground, swings, covered picnic area, skate park, volleyball court, soccer field, basketball court and clean bathrooms with ample parking. There are activities for kids and adults.

Great playground for children. It has a splash pad and skate park. Trails for little kids on scooters. Park has pavilion for grilling and having a gathering. Also, a field for sports.

Best skate park between the three on the beach

Fantastic wooden jungle gym. Bridges, slides, Ballance beams, monkey bars and rings... It is all gated off down to one locked entry gate, so the kids cant roam out of the play area. Smaller area for 1 - 3 year olds. Big area for 3 - 10 year olds. Skate park right next to play ground area for the teenagers.

This is a great place for kids and adults.

Great park but there are hardly any shaded places for kids to play under. The older kids swing set is under an umbrella but the toddlers area is completely un-shaded.The splash park is really nice but I do wish theyd keep it open past labor day. Its still too hot in September to not have a water feature.We visit this park a lot and its clean and very friendly.

Great skateboarding!

Sprawling enclosed wooden playground with a seperate enclosure for the tinier climbers. A recently finished skate park raises the cool factor as well as a splash park for hot days. Hunt out the solar charging station if you need it.

Nice place to take the children to play on the playground swings and sliding boards.and you can take them to the stake boarding on there state of the art Trac they can cook down on the little water park.just a great place for you and your family to have fun.have a nice time make sutthe children are whering helmets when stake boarding.god bless you and your family.

Was there for a childs B-day party. It was nice. Great playground & a nice play fountain for the kids to run thru. It had a skate park & all of the kids that were using it never caused a problem. Very cool. It was really hot, finding the park entrance that we needed took a bit but all of that could B overcome. The only BIG problem was, to me, not enough bathrooms!!! There R 4...2 womens & 2 mens...singles. so u really have to wait. Other then that it was a good place.

One of the things I like about this park is that mommies seem nicer here. More people talk and kids seem to play so well together.The splash park is so much fun for my little guy and the entire play area is big and full of things to do.There is a separate play area for really little ones which is blocked off.One of the down sides is the heat. In Florida you cant complain but the ground in the play area gets really hot.There is a nice little trail to walk, run or roller skate. It is also a skate park for skateboarding. It is just a big wonderful park in a nice area of South Beach.There are grills and a couple seating areas not many though.Overall its fun for an hour or a full day!

This playground is amazing!!! My son really enjoyed playing here. The fields are well taken care of and I appreciate the walking path around the field.

Recently updated grounds, good access to the beach, actual restroom facilities, ice cream trucks occasionally cruise through the parking lot, shore side playground and wash off stations for you and your beach gear.The only negative, is that the homeless, junkies and drunkards have been known to sleep here overnight, sometimes into late morning. They seem to generally behave themselves and the local police do patrol often, so that helps, Im certain. Also, Im 6 and a fairly muscular 250 lbs (Im a shipyard worker, it comes with the territory)... Im less likely to be bothered by them than some of the more attractive ladies, like the yoga groups that get together there.

This is a pretty nice park! Theres always lots 9f people there. Theres a skate park, volleyball courts, a soccer field, and some exercise stuff like pull-up bars. They have a gazebo you can sit and eat at. Located behind a fire station and a police sub station.
