One of the best place in ithaca! Two paths to get down, the west entry is to the valley and waterfall front face, and the east entry is to overview the waterfall from above.The most interesting thing is the waterfall integrated with an abandoned waterworks. And during summer time many people swimming in the water.

Probably one of my more favorite falls in and around Ithaca. Is most likely beautiful in all seasons but I favored winter for good water flow, ice build on on adjacent sides of falls(which also hides a bit of graffiti on abandoned Van Nattas pumping station building). It’s a series of drops the first of which is man made near bridge the crosses over creek. Down below there are some trees with intricate root structures that lend themselves to some interesting photos. I especially like this winteresque time of year as the freeze thaw cycle has helped in dissolving and introducing calcium carbonate from the limestone canyon and it gives the water a green to aqua colored effect.

Honestly one of the coolest waterfalls I’ve ever been to. If you plan on going down to see the falls and dam just make sure you’re a decent climber. It’s not all that bad but some of the steps are a bit uneven and steep.

A short walk to a beautiful Waterfall. The scenery is gorgeous. Good place to relax on a rock and have a lunch break.

Beauty everywhere and in so many ways.

Relatively small waterfall with an abandoned building surrounding it. Gives it kind of an industrial edgy vibe, which I personally liked.Also has a lot of hidden nooks so I expect its probably a great place for people (teenagers) to chill out during the evening and do whatever they feel like doing ;)I visited around noon and there was nobody else there at that moment so its definitely a hidden gem in my opinion.

Really good short hike. A few different paths you can take to get a good view of the falls. Parking across the street is very convenient.

Fun spot to hang out. 30ft falls lots of space to hang out and have a fun afternoon in nature

I grew up hiking 6 mile Creek. Now I do the trails instead of the creek beds. Great hike with beautiful gorge scenery

I used to be the gorge Ranger there for 4 years. It is a wonderful place to hike. Theres little spots where kids can get in the water. It is a great place to learn about nature . The only problem is there are people there that jump off the cliffs which is illegal. a kid drown their from doing that in July of 2015. Something I will never forget

Nice to visit. people need to stop leaving their alcohol bottle trash down there.

A little disappointed there wasnt a great way to see the falls. You can stand at the top and see the drop from behind but cant view the falls directly. It looks like there may have been a trail at one point but its been washed away.
