Very wide open area to let my dogs enjoy themselves and a small playground also, so enough fun for everyone.

My Favorite Irving Park. I walk my dog most mornings at Mountain Creek Preserve. The main section of the park has a half-mile paved oval track/trail.Campion Trail continues the paved trail to the West...two miles to MacArthur.Going East over the creek bridge the paved trail goes to Eagle Ford Crossing at the Bonnie and Clyde Historical Marker at the edge of Twin Wells Golf Course. It is about one mile from the parking area to the marker.Well groomed and managed park. Always been a very safe place to walk or ride.

Nice Trail to ride or run on. However, the smell of sewage makes for a less than pleasant experience.

Great spacious park for walking/running/biking! Plenty of playground equipment, nice cricket field, basketball court and large pavilion. It is always well maintained and manicured. The only complaints I have is there is no water fountain at all anywhere so bring plenty of water. Also have to point out the rancid smell every time Ive been there. It smells like a sewer runs through the entire park area. If you plan on eating there, bring lots of incense, air freshener, etc.!

We were hoping to paddle our kayaks but as soon as we opened our car door we were enveloped by the scent of feces.

Large greenbelt park and trailhead on the West Fork of the Trinity west of Loop 12. A part of the County Preserve system, it is accessible from Hunter Farrell--bit of a travail to get there at the best of times. Normal park amenities, playground, etc., paved trail near the water. Is the southern terminus of the Campion Trail system, which runs east under Loop 12 and then north along the border of Twin Wells Golf Course to Shady Grove. The part of the river the preserve borders is brackish and can be pretty rank, so reasonable expectations are a must.

Clean park, but does get smelly due to stagnant water. I enjoy walking dogs on the trails. Trails on either side are about 4 miles.
