The event center is a mixed bag at best. The facilities are fine and they have some great events. However, entering and parking is a nightmare. They increased the price of parking by 60% last year and service got noticibly worse. Best avoid the fairgrounds unless you must go to one of the events.
I had a great time at the Indiana State fair and plan on coming thru there again before they pack up and head out. It is a great time and the weather wasnt to bad. Make sure you bring plenty of money because things can get expensive when you want to do it all. But right thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Make sure you get on thegross wheel and go around. Its a beautiful view. Wish I had started later that day, but all the staff was very friendly and courteous if I had any questions. Plus you get to see people from all over the state. Good times and good food.
Boat,Sport and Travel show. If you havent been GO! Take the kids. Make a day of it. Plenty of free samples and they have many open bars!!! Walk around with a drink all day. GO!
Bus shuttle rides were timely and comfortable. Positive experience at the train show. Lots of great deals this year.
Love state fair
The Home Show was great again
Was at the Reptile show, not many vendors for the show, but this is during the Covid-19 time.
Fair comes every year and we love it. Well, it’s a fair so expect the unexpected. Plan before hand especially with little ones. Bring a little spending money for food & tickets. Water bottles, there is a place to get free water because the drinks are a little high to keep rebuying.
Disappointed, few vendors unless you want cheap sunglasses and over priced clothing. Need usable vending, bike lifts, accessories, moto vlog set ups. Venue parking and admission price is up again. I wont be back.
There are always so many different events held here throughout the year. I would just like to see updates on the restroom facilities, maybe even add Mothers room or nursing pods. Also, concession food options could use an upgrade.
Nice venue. The show was very well organized.
One of the best places to go for a Mecum Auction.
FAMILY HAD A BLAST!! PLUS MET SUPERMAN
I love ot
Much to see and do. Admission free. Brings memories of special times passed.
Christmas gift and hobby show always a great time
I was disappointed that the inside-out grilled cheese sandwich was not available at The Milk Barn today. I did try their newest specialty instead, but was disappointed. Of course, the chocolate shake was delicious as always.
Only had two harley dealers an it was alot smaller then ever probably never come back
This was the state fair it was amazing!
Indiana State fair, I always enjoy taking the kiddos see the animals and eat tons of fried food, wish there were more unique food venders
From the exhibits of early Indiana life on the north side of the track to the showing of livestock on the south side, the amusement rides on the west and the delicious food all around. Theres nothing like the Indiana State Fair.
State fair, what is not to love.
The 2020 Motorcycle Expo was extremely entertaining.
Went to the Boat and RV show. It was enjoyable, looked at boats, a lot of fishing booths, however I would really like the have booths with the individual equipment manufacturers. Costs to park, costs to get in, and the food is not cheap. If you get a soda, get the large one so you can get it refilled cheap. Yes, we will go back,
Great place to look at goods or whatever evnt
All day breakfast makes me happy!
The state fair is delicious. Become an online member and you get tickets for $9 each.
Our go to stop during the state fair, for tomato juice,to see the big cheese and get strawberry shortcake yummy.
The Great Indiana State Fair...so much to see and do and food choices you cant miss.
THE STATE FAIR takes you back to your childhood with 4 grandchildren. The admission was moderate, the food was excellent and they had rides for all ages. Visit next year! The staff is beyond nice. Handicap help is all around with golf carts to assist. Loved it.
Had a wonderful day at state fair, lots of things to do,delicious food, beautiful day out!!
Excellent state fair nice and friendly atmosphere. Food was great and many things to see.
Passionate work and skills shown at the Indiana State Fair. Local foods, horticulture, livestock and antique farm equipment are my favorites.
Good food, good service. 1950s atmosphere.
Great experience for the buck went on$2.00 Tuesday had a blast
It was a bit crowded but fun place to take the children or just you and your honey
Good for a trade show.
So many great events that take place here. Like the dog show and sheep show
It was a blast from food to animals to rides to the musical acts
I wish the parking lot was labeled with sections so you could find your car easier. Also, when there are multiple events going on at different buildings, they could put signs out for where the closest parking is to a particular event. The restrooms are well maintained for a fairground. The buildings were relatively clean for their age. There was a pretty serious gutter issue where the gun and knife show was being held last weekend. During a down pour it looked like the gutters going down the side of the building had detached and were spraying everywhere.
Had the best day w family. No long lines and not very crowded. Beautiful outside. Had some great food for $2 Tuesdays!
We go to the off road jamboree every year we use to take our own kids now we take them and the grand babies they live it. Its fun exciting, a little expensive but hey who cares its only money.
Parking is BS. You have to pay $8 but there is no one checking to see that people park stupid and take up 2 spaces. Limiting parking. There should be someone monitoring and writing out tickets for stupid parking.
Awesome time and had a wonderful date with my girlfriend. The centerpiece he was amazing.
Lots of fun shows happen here from the home and patio to a reptile expo and is very cool. There is a plethora of differant stands to see in the event center
Frankie Beverly and Maze with KEM OMGOODNESSSS amazing concert
Boat and fishing show...tackle town...and wall of shame are the best!!!
Great time. Could move around easily and see everything
Spacious venue!
Home show was nice, but it seemed like the same stuff over and over. Last year seemed more diversified.
Never have I had a disappointing time at the fair grounds for any event.
The show was good.
The circus at the state fair was awsome!
Always have a good time at the Fair!!
Indianapolis Fairgrounds was a a good location for the Mecum auction. The layout was a little confusing, but all in all, it was a good event.
I was not impressed with floral exhibits. There were booths pushing everthing else, many to the point of being rude and obnixious. After all, it is the FLOWER AND PATIO SHOW.
Always a great place at fair time
Boat Sport & Travel Show......As always was great!
Always enjoy the venue and the events here. Usually very well done
A lot of room, bathrooms clean, great atmosphere.
Facility was clean, parking is reasonable for Indy, and the space was well-suited for the event I attended there (a food expo).
Nice place. Big convention style space.
It was a nice exhibit. Plus with it being super hot outside it was nice to be in somewhere where it was cool.
To much for me but nice
Second time here for the North American Flyball Associations CanAm Classic. The Championship Tournament. Camping is tight, but were a close knit community who loves to run dogs competitively.
Indiana State Fair is awesome!
Before entering the State Fair, you and your property will be illegally searched. No signage or warning. Odd. I visit the State Fair grounds four time a year along with another 75,000 people during the Indy 1500 and have never had an incident. The security supervisor that stated he did not care what about the 2nd amendment needs to rethink his chosen profession. The City police and County Sheriff I spoke with were very understanding of our Constitutional Rights. Good men.
Its a big room
and look forward ️ the fair every year!
Nice location. Plenty of parking. Did have to pay $5 to park.
Best State Fair !! INDIANA
I wanna go there
Had a really good time
Great space but the event that was held here on the day i arrived was NOT orchestrated in any professional way.I cannot hold that against yhe event center though. So, as i said its a great space.
A great time. Best 2 weeks in August
Wonderful venu!
Went to the Pet Expo here. Loved it, and so did my dog.
Its the midway point for the state fair. Its pricey but okay on 2$ Tuesdays if you dont mind the lines
My first time and Ill never go bck
Really nice facility
Love going here!! For many different things
State Fair was nice not crowded, getting to be expensive to go, food is pricey.
The state fair is always fun! The have great junk food crapes and deep fried candy bars and so much more. The animals and venues were awesome I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good summer afternoon.
I love the fair grounds, lots to do and see when events are going on. The state fair is everything you want: fried food, buttered corn, and lots of grilled meat. Facilities are good from what Ive seen. Parking is atrocious however. Plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early to prepare for traffic and parking trouble.
The flower & Patio show was wonderful
Quite impressed with the State Fair. Lots of food vendors that provided all of the great deep fried foods like elephant ears, fried Oreos, potato chips. Yummy....
Love the state fair. Love the fresh Lemonade, the corn dogs, elephant ears & love love love the animals and all the interaction you get to have with them!!
Great food very good service.
An experience of its kind.
Captained A Table For Little Red Doors 11th Annual Faces Of Hope Breakfast - Celebrating Cancer Fighters/Survivors, FUNRaise & Show Support For This Decades Old Agency...
Food was very good!
Always a nice venue. To bad parking is so far away from the events.
Lots of parking smooth process in and out.
We went out yesterday enjoyed most of the day an then as we started to go to our vehicle, they announced they were shutting down the shuttles at 5:30. My wife has hip problems and we do not walk too far . Well we were on the far side and had to walk almost all the way around to the handicap area. We were told that the shuttle was closed due to the fair being so crowded. Poor excuse as far as we were concerned.
Expo was good. Shuttle service spotty.
They raised the parking price to $8! Be prepared!
Nice facility with plenty of seating.
Great fair experience.
