I don’t normally shop at Uncle Bill’s but came in here while waiting on a pizza from Magoo’s (first time getting food from there) because I was curious about their selection. I was surprised at how many animals they had. It’s clear these poor things came from mills. There are so many animals in shelters waiting to be adopted, breeding them just to sell at an exorbitant price at a pet shop is just cruel and shady. I can’t even believe there are still pet shops around that carry on with this horrible practice. I’ll never come back here.At least the pizza was amazing, though.

I have been a customer for several years-only because they sell feeder mice. I bought a Goliath birdeater that they promised was a female. It died a year later and when I seed it, she turned out to be a he (males have significantly smaller life spans). Went in a few weeks ago to buy mice and was told about a sick uromastyx (Im a vet tech). He had been sick for several weeks and they agreed to surrender him to me....just as he died in my hands. 3 weeks ago I went in looking for a red tail boa. I asked specifically for a BCC but sure enough she is not a BCC but a BCI (Im also a wildlife biologist). Moral of the story- dont shop here for anything but mice. Their products are WAY overpriced and their staff know nothing about animals.

I love the layout of the store with all the pets as you walk through the aisles. The customer service is very nice as well.

Came in looking for a dog potentially. Prices are extremely high for the dogs. I was told they START at 3,199$...I think thats outrageous when you can go on pet finder and get a rescue dog or even a rescue puppy for no more than $400!!!

I am extremely unsatisfied with the customer service I received when inquiring about purchasing a pet. I called to ask about Kenzee, a wiener dog that is CLEARLY advertised on their website as born on May 20. I called to ensure she was still there before I drove 30 minutes away and when I asked, the woman on the phone immediately said she was not available. When I asked if she had already been sold, she was confident enough to say that she was still in the back. When I asked how long dogs are usually held in the back, she said 2 months. It’s August 2nd... May 20th was over 2 months ago. When I asked her exactly when Kenzee would be available she was VERY UNWILLING to check or do her job for a potentially paying customer and replied “I don’t know ma’am”. Great. So you don’t want my money, you’re holding a dog and won’t explain why, and you can’t do basic math. I’ll pass. Hopefully Kenzee is ok since the woman on the phone didn’t know anything about her job. Thank you.Edit/Reply to owner that claims to have reiterated the policy to myself and others managing the store: Again, it’s AUGUST. Also, taking a look at lots of other reviews at this specific location, customer satisfaction is not a concern. Of course I won’t be doing business with Uncle Bill’s going forward so to those of you reading, help yourself and look elsewhere. Otherwise, be provided with information that is not helpful before or after.

The employees here are always super friendly and quick to greet me when I come in. They know their stuff and can easily lead me to the products I need. They even willingly offer to help me carry larger bags of pet food out. Definitely a 5-star staff.

PROS: They have the brand of food my dog likes in addition to a variety of treats that are reasonably priced.CONS: The store smells horrible. I understand it’s a pet store but when you walk in the smell of old feces and urine hits you in the face. Just bc you have 10 dogs, a couple of ferrets, a few rabbits and some birds doesn’t mean it has to smell so bad. People who actually like animals and actually want to take care of the animals should work here. Also, the dogs are over priced. If you are going to over price the dogs at least keep them in a CLEAN crate to give off the illusion they are actually cared for.

I love this place, I adore looking at all the guinea pigs, puppies, and rabbits. The staff is super helpful and nice, I really appreciate all of them. Ive gotten a guinea pig, fish and rabbits from them, they were all super healthy.

Got my puppy from here 8 months ago. He is very healthy, however, did have a luxating patella, which required surgery (that uncle bills covered). This is a genetic condition... so I do not think the breeders did the greatest job. Youd think theyd gloat where the puppies came from if breeders were great, but we received no information on them. $3000 price tag is worth it since they cover any problems your dog will have up to 1 year. He is a very sweet dog otherwise and i am happy. Although with the money spent, maybe they could give the puppies at least 1 toy to play with when they have 1000s on the shelves.

They were way to overpriced for dogs that can be sold for 250$ and in excellent health with papers. Place was nasty. And employees were rude.

They didnt have any cats which is why we visited. We went to the aquarium area where there were 2 employees. Neither bothered to greet my daughter and I or ask of we needed assistance. Unfortunately, as I have to give opinion based on that.

I wasnt expecting the store to be as big as it was. It was clean. They even took out a puppy from the back that I wanted to see! The puppy prices are high but other than that a great store overall.

Great variety of pets, clean with all the animals and helpful but NOT in your face annoying! Employees worked well together were friendly and could hear awesome team skills as a by standard not them being fake so it made the environment inviting and not like running away. We will be back to adopt a fur creature soon!

The hamsters should not have small wired wheels. This causes bumblefoot. The small size makes them arch their back. Where are the hides and tunnels for the guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters? They get very scared and have no where to go for protection. There was a tank where the goldfish kept getting sucked towards a ventilation (?) thing. It brought them out of the water and they just stuck there. Thankfully, my dad was able to get a lot off of it before they died.

We purchased a puppy here, he passed their initial puppy exam, but tested positive for Bordetella, Mycoplasma, and Distemper Adenovirus within 3-4 days of his Uncle Bills sponsored vet appointment, where they did little beyond check his breathing and administer his latest vaccine. Our regular vet caught his health issues. Very concerned that the other dogs here may be at risk, as at least one of his issues is an airborne one.

They had a great selection of things to choose from. Not very clean and rather disorganized. Staff was helpful but not very knowledgeable. Reptiles were rather disappointing, fish selection was decent but again not clean or well kept. Lots of dogs that again were not well let or clean. Tons of birds overloaded in cages. Not a good representation of the industry at all.

Was in there today, saw this cute little kitten,black n white. He was adorable ️. Wanted to take him home. Then the $199.00 tag was the turn off. The puppies were up to $1800.00. why the high price? Have gotten a rescue for adoption for $40.00 @ a well known place,chipped,fixed and 5 way.

Loved are stop at Uncle Bills got 2 red tail sharks and some food for them paid $13. and some change !! All the fish look healthy friendly staff nice place

Been shopping there for years, and spent 80$ on fish took it back within the 7 days, and was informed that I would only get half back! I didn’t spend half my money so why I’m only getting half my money back?? Poor excuse communication! Only person there that has knowledge of anything is Drew!!!

Lots of space in the aisles. Some pet stores are much smaller. The staff were great, we took are dog in and they all said hi to him and pet him. They have a great selection of pets, and many of them.

Do NOT buy a pet from here. Bought a bunny and the poor thing died within 3 weeks. He was so underweight when we got him and the employees give out wrong information on caring for them. We ended up going to a recommend bunny breeder where they have healthy bunnies.

No one in the store had a mask on and didn’t seem too interested keeping a distance. Doesn’t Uncle Bill’s care about their employees or customers??

I purchased a big dog cage yesterday for my Yorkie and he is more comfortable in this cage. The staff was very helpful i didnt get their names but it was a young man and young woman around 2:40p.m. Tell her Thank you for me she was also the cashier!!!

Sometimes the wait can be pretty long in the fish area, however, I’d prefer this pet store over any of the other ones being that they have a bigger selection of pets to choose from.

Staff is always very friendly and helpful to me. I stopped by the other day to pick up some crickets, and ended up playing with a puppy for a bit. The sales associate was very kind, and answered all my questions about their dogs. I accidentally locked my keys in my car, and the staff were friendly while I waited for a friend to bring them to me. It was very cold that day and when I initially went outside to leave, my crickets almost died. The staff again came through by putting them under a heat lamp and double-bagging them for me. I will keep going back to this store.

Puppies not kept clean. Staff, especially cashier showed no interest in helping us. Only thing good is there is a good variety of pet supplies.

Julie the manager was awesome in helping me pick the perfect pup and helped me from a-z . We even spoke later for a follow up. Julie is professional and knowlegeable...However if you purchase a puppy they come with a free vet visit to Noahs Pet hospital.. do not take them there.. they will try to scam you into additional vaccines that your dog may not need. Uncle Bills will already have your pup up to date on vaccinations. Do your research dont let greedy vets over vaccinate your puppy it will compromise their immune system later down the line!! Forget the free visit..Pay for a good vet... Do your research and find a reputable vet or ask a friend but do not take them to Noahs!..I took my last dog to East Side Animal Hospital on Mass ave, Indpls...they work with you on pricing and your budget so my dog will be going there. Check out my review on Noahs Millersville road location for more about my experience there.uodate...i did contact Uncle Bills & they were sad 2 hear about my experience at Noahs, the manager is in the process of contacting their corporate office 2 give them a heads up about what Noahs did. Uncle bills was apologetic & asked me 2 come in & get anything else that Bella needs no cost.

The hamsters are kept in very small cages with hardly any bedding. Most don’t have wheels, but the few that do are very very small wire wheels that are not safe at all! They are very clearly not well, most look sick and are visibly covered in abscesses. One employee tried to tell me that it was just his testicles when it was clearly a very large bleeding scabby growth between his testicles. It makes me so sad to see so many animals being kept in such terrible conditions.

Great pet store & best $1 a gallon fish tank sale!

Decent place to get supplies but they shove tye dogs and cats into crates with no toys or coverings on the floors.

Cheap prices on fish, however with in 48 hours 8 out of 10 purchased died. Out of the 4 places we have purchased fish, this is the only time we have lost any. Only plus side, staff was friendly and place was easy to find.

The dogs there are terrified not shy. They are not cared for & constantly kept in a tiny box of a cage around other scared, barking, & whining dogs. How outgoing would you feel? These type places should be closed down.

I go here a lot for my aquarium needs. Great service and prices on fish. Cant speak for the puppies, kittens, etc but the fish have all been healthy. Staff is nice and courteous too. I recommend the store. Some people just want to trash a place, I guess.

I havent been in this store for over 2 decades. Still nice to know its still here. We were looking for a puppy and found on online so the family decide to see this puppy that might have been our new family member. Online they didnt give the price but our budget was about $500. When we arrived and saw him, he was just adorable UNTIL we saw the price they wanted. $2000! Really?! He wasnt even an AKC breed. Why so much??? Of course we were disappointed and just left.

Limited supply, get it while you can

I visited the store earlier today and I am not impressed. The rabbits were fed unlimited pellets and no hay. Which can be damaging to their digestive tracks. The dogs were laying in their own urine and feces so of course it smelled awful. One of the cashiers seemed to be staring at me everytime I looked up. They employees were standing around when they should have been taking care of the poor animals in the shop. My heart breaks for dogs. Please, adopt dont shop! Put puppy mills like this out of business!

Weve bought a dog, parakeets and fish from this store. Weve been very happy with all of our purchases, and all of our pets are doing great and bringing our family much joy. The staff was always very helpful and knowledgable. The aquarium department has the largest selection of fish on the West-side, and the staff are always great.The prices for dogs has risen greatly in the past few years, so we would not be able to afford one now, but they used to be very reasonable.The price for other animals and supplies is great.

The animals they keep are well kept in good conditions. The employees are very knowledgeable about them and can answer questions about their care. They offer a good selection of supplies at decent prices. Uncle Bills has really come a long way to where it is today.

All the dogs are sedated and drugged. They are all too tired to even move their heads. These dogs were abused and were not given any proper care after this place bought them. They drug them, throw them in a cage and sell them to you for a ridiculous amount of money. Zero love for these animals. Other reviews state that animals purchased here were violent and had health issues. This place will not honor any refund policy. This place should be closed down immediately.

Received a bunny someone who had just purchased from this location she was not only falsely advertised as a miniature (I took her to the vet, she is definitely full size) they lied about her age as well as health. She was extremely ill and also has a form of worms. I now have her on medication and am monitoring her closely. Do not buy animals from this location or any other uncle bills. Adopt.

The tanks have been cleaned and all look nice. The dog kennels were getting cleaned. 4 different employees asked us during our time at the store if we needed help and talked to us. The prices on fish were great. Nice deals on tanks.

Always find what I need here for our fish tank. I just hate seeing the dogs in cages for extremely high prices. They look so sad. I wish you would stop this practice uncle bills.
