Love the show, good feel to know they make sure social distance is enforce. Definitely will go there and watch it again.
This zoo is one of my favorites. This summer they have a few new animals (black mamba and sloths). They are constantly adding new things and keeping it looking great. Zoo is always clean. Kids will have a blast and parking is ample. They even have picnic tables out front. Plan on spending your whole day there if you want to see and do everything.
It would get 5 stars.. however, the scene or act..has not changed.. we have been their many of times..we do enjoy the act of the dolphins and the energy. It is truly beautiful. The story..saving the plant.. that the acts are preformed to is truly beautiful and the message was inspirtional.
Poolside meet and greet is canceled as of October 2020 but the presentation is still going on
This is bad. I dont like water. Deathly afraid of water. No good. Next question
The 1st time great. The 15th time of the same show, very boring.
This zoo holds a special place in my heart!! If you are local, I highly recommend purchasing a membership so that you can visit often and not have to rush during your visit!
This is such a cool feature of the Indy zoo. We absolutely love the underwater dome where you can watch the dolphins zoom past and over you. The dolphin show is fun. I have heard that they offer a special package where you can swim with the dolphins, but I dont know if this is still offered.
Anthony and Molly had a good time
Great time, but no seals, no polar bears l, no alligator or crocodile. But with that said, had a great time with the family and the dolphins are spectacular
The dolphin show is always entertaining!
A very nice show putting conservation and living together in the show without making it in your face. The dolphins do all the usual behaviors like waving fins and big jumps and theres a lot of audience interaction. One of the nicest things is the underwater viewing bubble where youre actually in a glass row about 15 feet under the water with the dolphins swimming all around you. This is a must - see when you visit the zoo.
Great show and it supports a good cause.
Had an incredible time at a private event at the dolphin arena. I highly recommend having an event here. Food was great.
This was our first time here as a family and plenty to see and do despite being a bit undersized and some exhibits were closed due to construction. We liked how close you could actually get to the animals, friendly staff and the ease of flow from each exhibit.
Same show for years now. Time to change it up a bit. Still enjoyable, but would be nice for something different.
Loved it. Very romantic and family oriented. Lots to do and see
Wish they would just do the show not the same conservation videos the last 4 plus years
Great place to go out with your family.
Great show by professional trainers who animate the crowd and relay great messages of conservation and environmentalism. The dolphins themselves look healthy, and clearly get a lot of stimulation. The zoo has a breeding program. The dolphin pavilion is one of the few exhibits at the zoo that does a very good job of accommodating individuals in wheelchairs. I was directed to a place right in front of the stands, and a folding chair was provided for one of my party to sit next to me. Five out of five stars.
Great show! Very entertaining!
Ohhhh the new macaw show was awesome. Was not expecting that. Wish it was a little longer. Add some music from Rio and I would have loved it more....one of my favorite movies.
A whole lot to do and see at the Indianapolis Zoo. From the aquariums, desert, wild life, birds, and rides ; its a whole level of entertainment for the whole family. We experienced the Dolphin display and that was soectacular. had a ride which showed just about the whole view of the Zoo. Did bird feeding. Good restaurants on the premises. enjoyed the cheetah race, took the train around the Zoo. went to the butterfly place.. i highly recomment this for a family day out, its not just fun but educational and all. Bunnie running along the paths as we walked by were the cutiest ever. ende the day with some band playing and it was so relaxing. good clean fun.
I loved seeing the dolphin show during our conference. Tons of fun!!
My kids really enjoyed the dolphins! The trainers and dolphins put on a great show!
Babys love this..
Trent the zookeeper for dolphins does great work.
They have changed up the program. It is nice not to have the same show they have had for years.
Super nice place. Clean. Lots of great seats. Wasnt over-crowded. Dolphins followed most of the directions. 10 minutes of dolphin show and 20 minutes of public service announcement to avoid single-use plastics. I can watch those videos on YouTube at home. I came to see dolphins.
So graceful! I wish to swim with those beautiful dolphins!
It was a great visit to the zoo.. its nice to take the young ones there for a day of animals and some sun..
I love this part of the zoo. Dolphin shows have always been a fun activity for me. We always sit in the splash zone. The pavilion is nice. I like that we can go inside and see the dolphins swimming under the crowd observation deck. The bathrooms inside the pavilion (and the whole zoo) are clean and well stocked. This is a great way to cool off on a hot day.
Deceny atmosphere. Bathrooms need a little more cleaning done.
Dolphin show was awesome. It was my first
Simply amazing. Very emotional dolphin show. Highly recommended for kids and adults!
Had a great time even if the weather wasnt the best. Wish we were there next Sat. for the Christmas lights..
Ive seen better setups but they got a great team of people working in there
The zoo is amazing. We spent the entire day there and enjoyed it. The staff were professional and friendly and the place is well maintained and cleaned. We enjoyed the Dolphins, All Star Dogs and McCaw shows. Lots of animals to see. The Garden is beautiful. We also enjoyed the Butterfly. I highly recommend this place.
We had a great time watching the dolphins, they were amazing! So beautiful, such amazing creatures!!
Very informative and my kids love it:)
A wonderful experience and chance to see the dolphins up close. They genuinely look thrilled to entertain the guests and interacted during free time. You can sit in the splash zone, my kids favorite, and get splashed throughout the show. Not only is out entertaining, the show offers a great learning experience about pollution and other things. One of our favorite parts of the zoo.
Not what it used to be, covid-19 caused a different atmosphere..
Amazing show, had a great time, even my teenagers loved it!
The Indianapolis zoo, while not a huge facility, was so much fun to visit. The variety of animals available and the knowledgeable staff made it a great experience. If yoi can go to a dolphin show, do it! Not a very long show but still really entertaining and educational.
Very cool. The underwater observation room was amazing.
When at the zoo make sure to see the dolphin show its so fun. The dolphins are awesome. Sorry it didnt let me post my videos of the show on here. Dont miss it.
The have set time for the shows all day its very enjoyable for all ages specially iv you like dolphins
The show was nice, and the workers were very enthusiastic. There was almost too much going on at one time to be enjoyable. They could have easily spread the tricks out, and made the show longer, which is another complaint. Overall, the show was pretty neat. The bubble underneath the tank was a pretty cool experience.
The show was the best I have seen I long time.
Its a great show. Im glad they changed it up. I like the new message better about protecting our animals/recycling. The dolphins are adorable.
The kids loved it and they have elephants!!! Theyre not in any zoos around my anymore
Great show! Educational and entertaining at the same time.
There are very few experiences that elicit tears. The Indianapolis Dolphin Pavilion is one of those experiences. It is sensory overload to the max, and my emotions cannot handle it. Its incredible to watch the dolphins, trainers, and inspirational videos that accompany the show. It is a must-see while youre at the Indianapolis zoo whether youve never seen their show or youve seen it 100 times.
Large grounds with outstanding exhibits
I went two years ago and enjoyed the show then. The show is different now but still just as good. They have trainers and dolphins performing at both ends of the pool so you dont have to sit in the center.
Dolphins are so great! Made the trip worth every penny!
Awsome experience, maybe a bit to heavy handed on the environmental message for the Dolphin show. Still awsome place to visit
We had a Christmas Party here and everything was soo beautiful! The food was delicious! We were able to see the dolphins while sitting at our table. Would definitely to this again. The staff was there to help us with everything from beginning to end. They constantly replenished the food and hot chocolate bar. They has marshmallows, chocolate curls, whipped cream and whatever else that you can add to hot chocolate!
This zoo has so much to offer, it was a delight for our whole family visit, with our ages being under 1 all the way through 80+. For the baby, everything was very stroller-friendly, and for Great-Grandma there were lots of shady areas, and benches were easy to find. The animals were all very easy to see and observe, so it was really enjoyable in that regard. There were no safety concerns that stood out to us, but definitely make sure you keep careful watch over your toddlers and preschoolers because it would be easy to get lost very quickly.I highly recommend the dolphin show! That was well worth sticking around for even though we were unable to go to as early of a showing as we had hoped for.
The dolphin pavilion was fantastic and my kids had a blast at the dolphin show. The show was informative and the kids were telling their friends about the things they learned. The splash zone is hit or miss if youll get wet but two of my kids loved it and the other one cried so be careful on what you decide to do. The upper row seats are just as good as the lower ones for seeing the dolphins.
This is spectacular! They do a great job entertaining & educating every time I see it. My boy is inspired to be a dolphin trainer & loves them & is an awe of them (as am I).Tip: Go when its cold out. Almost nobody does which results in a nearly private dolphin show :) We went again today at 27°, & hit the Oceans room, the Walrus exhibit, & the dolphin show & it was fantastic to feel like you were nearly the only ones interacting with these majestic creatures.
I liked the dolphin show, but to be honest I would not go back to this zoo again. My son loves animals as do I, but most of the animals were not out or not in the cage. The train ride was awful most of the view was of zoo storage, the main street, and trees. In my opinion Indianapolis zoo needs an update.
The orangutan exhibit needs to be updated and constantly clean. The orangutans look very unhappy
Love seeing the dolphin show. Kind of annoyed it has been the same show all summer. Id love to see something new and exciting.
Amazing exhibit! The show is a lot of fun. Be prepared to get wet if you sit in the spash zone. If you want the best views of the tricks sit higher up.
Always a great show and enjoyable time!!!
It was really nice my kids had a blast
Loved the dolphin show. My 1.5 & 3.5 year old were very engaged. Make sure you get in there early if you dont want to sit up super high. They have a 12:30 show at least on the weekends that the website doesnt list.
The dolphin show was amazing!!!!! Family coaster awesome and the train ride was very fun!!!
Love the underwater dome for viewing the dolphins we went on a colder day so there was no crowd so we spent a while watching the dolphins. Very peaceful. The dolphin show was really fun but couldve had more tricks (jumping and flips) there was alot going on at times and hard to know where to look. I would liked for it to be a longer show, theybdid say they were doing at new show starting 3/21 and that this was just a preview of the new show!
The show was fun but short. Perhaps they could talk about the training of the animals and include pictures? The seats are not comfortable and people were crammed in! Not sure what you can do about that.
Really enjoyed seeing all the animals!!!!
It was fantastic an amazing show me and the kids were engaged from being to end
Always a great show. Not so sure I would pay for the private swim... sounds great but $$
The dolphin show was particularly excellent to watch. The trainers seemed to be passionate about what they were doing, and I was happy to have been reminded of the importance of environmental conservation. As for the zoo, the variety in their collection was notable, although at times narration of a particular animal was too generic (for instance, if there was a Bengal Tiger in display, you really want to know about it and not just tigers). The underwater species part was very rich, something not to miss. The ticket cost should be lowered though, but I was glad that the booth operator came ahead to suggest that they could store my luggage for the hour (seeing that I was dragging a bag). This made my visit a lot easier!
Loved the dolphin show. The trainers work hard and care about the animals and guests.
Love the show only wish it was longer.
The zoo is my favorite place to visit when in Indianapolis. We had a fun day walking visiting all the animals. The dolphin show is fantastic. We ended the day with the butterfly exhibit. Looking forward to to going again.
If you go to the Indy zoo, check out the dolphin show. Great entertainment for the entire family. Always cool to see the tricks and hear about the dolphins.
I had an amazing time.
. This was amazing great experience says to see the dolphins in captivity but I understand that its for a reason
Awesome experience! I am an adult so i can only imagine how much a child will adore the dolphin show @ the Indianapolis Zoo!
What an amazing show. The dolphins were majestic and incredible. The underwater dome is amazing in its own right, but the show was even more incredible. The trainers seemed to love their work and the dolphins did some awesome tricks and jumps. Just wish the show was a bit longer than 20 mins.
We have always loved the Dolphin Pavilion. It also makes a great event venue. My wife and I had our wedding reception there 16 years ago and it was memorable for, not only us, but our guests as well.
This is a fun dolphin show. It has been going for many years and I have been there many times, but it is still fun to attend. If you like getting wet and seeing dolphins underwater, try watching from the splash zone (kids love it).
Very clean. Friendly staff. Not too crowded. Train ride was kind of a waste of money because it took you on a ride around the back zoo matenience buildings and you didnt even get to really see any animals. The dolphin show was awesome but wish it would have been a little bit longer and more light because it was kind of hard to see them. But overall this was a fun and family friendly place to spend the day together with kiddos.
The Indianapolis Zoo is a very clean and beautiful Zoo. The staff were helpful and polite. I have a special needs daughter and all the staff interacted with her in an appropriate manner.
Really awesome show, very informative. Viewable from many angles, not a bad seat in the house.
Bird feeds are life time experience. Flamingo, Budgie, cockatiel and giraffe feeds are awesome. Never seen anything like it until now. Theres even a train ride through the zoo.
This was such a fun show to watch! If you are going to the zoo, dont miss it! I suggest getting in line about thirty-twenty minutes early if you want to pick your seats because it fills up really fast.
Amazing show. Just not long enough.
Perfect for a family outing
Great time
It was very good. Enjoyed the show. Keep up the good work.
My Grands thought the dolphins did a great job!! They get a #10! Everything else I liked
I love dolphins theyre amazing, but honestly ets sad to see them confined & trainers blow high-pitched whistles at them to do moves for entertainment.
I was a little disappointed. Someone of the animals and exhibits were gone. It seemed as if they were more focused on gift shops and restaurants because they were every where the missing exhibits were.
