I walked all the way to this park from Oakland avenue. I thought it would be a nice place for me and my puppy to get some exercise. I had never been here before and only knew about it because I saw it on Google maps. I must say it is a lot smaller than I expected, but I definitely understand the historical significance.

Amazing place, rich with history - some graves date back to the Revolutionary War! It may be small, but it is truly awesome. A definite repeater!

This is a wonderful community event - enjoying free musical performances on the shaded grounds of Memorial Park. A variety of musical styles are presented in a casual family oriented atmosphere. The evening is especially enhanced by a visit from the ice cream truck with delicious homemade ice cream treats. Parking easily accessible nearby. One of the best kept secrets in Indiana PA! Tonights band was Hy5 and they were spectacular.

Many people may not know that this park was also used as a stop on the Underground Railroad during the Civil War. There are also many tombstones that are no longer visible because they have fallen and are now under the surface level. Many of the graves have also been moved from other sites to Memorial Park, having been originally interred near the smaller churches or farms locally. The memorial in the Center was also constructed by Jimmy Stewart’s Father. Tons of history for a small park in a small town!!
