This camp ground off of Hwy 7 in Hutchinson is really beautiful if you need to stop on your way to the cities or over here for some reason. The only draw back at this time of the year is that the beautiful green park behind our camper cannot be enjoyed due to the tremendous amount of dog size goose droppings ALL OVER! Even everywhere you possibly can walk around your camp site. Not cool! They have full hookups with (30 and 50 amp) electric, sewer and water. It is odd that there is no check in though. You make reservations and pay by phone then just drive to your site and park. Check in is 2:00, check out is noon. Here are some pictures.
For being right in the middle of town, this park/camping area is amazing. Well kept and peaceful. I usually sit and have my lunch by the river on nice days. The family and I have gone to take a walk and have a picnic. If I didnt live so close I would love to camp there
Nice RV park close to gas and fast food and boat ramp. Individual bathrooms have showers. Public WiFi free for an hour- costs for more. Level trails for walking or biking. Lots of grassy area and geese.
Beautiful scenery of the Crow River right from our camp site. Affordable pricing for full hook-up all the way down to tent camping. The only thing I didnt like its that there was a guy who would sit in his red SUV every day we camped, over a period of three total stays, who just sat in his SUV and drank energy drinks while he just watched people. From sunup to sundown. It was really creepy. Really really creepy. If youre a female, make certain you dont camp there alone
There are 12 full hookup RV spots and 9 with electric. Very clean and peaceful location near shopping and other amenities. Nice walking, bike and snowmobile path next to the river and nature sanctuary. Feed the ducks and deer if so desired.Reservations are available at the Park Recreation Facility in Hutchinson with a very helpful staff. Walk in reservations (during city hall offices hours) are cash or check; when calling credit cards are accepted. Our stay was for the month of August 2018, we will definitely stay here again.
I just came to use the dump station it was the nicest one Ive used so far!!! Im fairly new to RV camping. I wasnt camping there but they had a sign that said suggested donation $3. I will be looking for a spot to camp here at some point as well.
We love camping here. Very nice park. Very clean.
We loved it, nice clean park and bathrooms were really nice! Would recommend this place to anyone!
Animal reserve right there my daughter loves it
Clean and fun sunday times at creekside.
Peaceful, clean and lovely place. Just take a breath and enjoy, it’s amazing nature around you!
Would have been better if they had signs or clearly marked parking for noncampers
Awesome trail system but a bit heavy on the goose droppings.
Went to an open air consert at the band shell
I love that park for the peacefulness and kayaking
We planned a family camping trip with a 3 y/o. The pavilion was rented by a private party but no additional details were given On the website. It turned out that it was a “first annual heavy metal music festival”.The music was way too loud and even the people across the river were complaining to the police. There were around 30-40 people total who came and the music was horrendous. This coming from a person who just went to a real music festival last weekend.Had we been aware, we would never have camped there that weekend. The city/campground admin staff would not give us a refund or offer a different weekend. Both the police and campground admin staff said they would “try” to better communicate these situation in the future. However I will not have to worry about it again since I will not camp there again.
Beautiful park! Very clean and felt safe. Campsites were very well maintained.
Beautiful place to hold a party
Very nice park with camping facilities, bathrooms and a great running or biking trail. The Luce Line trail continues out of the park and goes on for miles. It goes through tunnels under the roads so you dont have to mess with traffic, which is really nice. The park is nestled against a beautiful lake and is very scenic. There are plenty of large trees and pavilions for shade throughout the park as well. The park itself isnt huge, but there are quite a few other parks along the trail and around Otter and Campbell Lakes.
Good park... Nice playground for the kids good picnic shelter and clean potties so thats good. Ball fields all sorts of stuff to do
This is a great place to take the dog for a walk, nicely kept up and the kids love the playground.
Beautiful and peaceful, great trails!
Lots of water loved it
A strange experience but a beautiful park. We reserved a campsite online, same day. Arrived to find it moderately busy for opening weekend. Lovely scenery, clean grounds, maintained equipment. But no firewood on site, which is somewhat unusual, and no staff that knew where it was sold. Most MN parks are very particular about what wood can be burned due to invasive species. Then we noticed a group of teenagers showed up to party. They commandeered the campsite on the point and had a rager. Then a seemingly homeless man on a bicycle tethered with his every worldly possession rolled in to bathroom/park shelter around dusk and set up his free campsite on a picnic table and went to sleep. Then after 10pm, which is quiet time, the teens in the park decided it was a good time to launch fireworks off into the park. At no point did any law enforcement come through, which I have seen at almost every park Ive camped at. We ended up leaving a bit later after we heard people walking around outside our tent. Beautiful place but would not camp again.
Been here four times. Lovely setting in the park, huge shade trees, right on the bike trail. Level sites, good utilities (full hook-ups). Liked it better in past years when it was first come, first served to get an RV site. Now all reservations done on-line and weekends are always reserved way out into the future. No one ever here during the week so its quiet and peaceful. Wish they had left a few sites that you didnt have to reserve.
Not much to do unless you bring a tent or camper.
Very nice park.
Quiet, easy to find, lots of room between camp sites, paddle boat rental, really nice trail and has a water park near by
I live in Wisconsin superior went on vacation good place
Quiet, clean, reasonably priced. Walking path and parks adjacent to campground. Camp sites are nice sized. Limited bathroom facilities, but usually clean. Have only camped here in the fall, so getting a site has not been an issue.
Very nice.
Loved the view cant wait to go back again
This has been our lunch date!
First time at Riversong Festival - enjoyed
I was just checking it out but Ill be back appears great!
Beautiful place to take photos. Love the walking trail and all the trees.
One of my favorite places to walk.
The park was found to be well maintained and clean. Great walking and riding trails, a nice playground, with Kayak and canoe rentals. However there is very little police presence of any kind, so the traffic traveling past the campgrounds and the park is way over the posted speed limit. That puts all campers and visitors to the park at risk. The WiFi in the park is far less than what we have found in other parks we have stayed. Dont count on it for even just regular surfing and oddly enough it is shut off at 10pm. But I guess that is what you get for free.
I dont know. Was decent
Very nice park for camping and good for family gathering.
We camped at the RV site that had full hookups. Very convenient and nice sites to put campers in. Great walking trail next to it and fishing in the river is good. Great parks for kids and a animal sanctuary next to it as well.
Close reliable fishing hole. Shhhhhh
Wonderful day at River Song music festival!
Its very nice is along the River. There are nice biking and running trails. Theres a sanctuary with lots of animals including deer and turkeys and they will come up and eat the food out of your hand.
Beautiful area for walking, biking, picinic and BBQ area. Perfect for family gatherings.
Beautiful Park, very nice walking and biking trails. Will definitely be going back again. Great place
Such a disappointment! Recently under construction and the place was a muddy mess. They were supposed to finish construction in late May and thus we decided to camp in July, but there was still nothing but mud. Our fire ring was submerged in mud and 5 of water.
Great looking short term RV park
Wonderful park and campground - family friendly and quiet. About half the camp sites are right along the river. Canoe and kayak rentals available. Paved bike and walking paths connect to extensive training system.
Very clean well-groomed, quiet, mist reasonably priced in the area.Update: they now offer wifi, but it is worthless, and the price has gone up to $30 a night. Still a very nice campgrounds, best in the area.
Beautiful park, animal reserve next door, great camping spots, multiple playgrounds nearby
A lot of hungry deer and birds
My favorite in-city park, out of all the ones Ive ever been to. Beautiful scenery, plenty of open space and trees, great sight of the rivers, and a quiet escape from the city are all things that make this place great. Hutchinson should be proud of its park system.
Beautiful park down by the river. It is a nice place to just sit and relax by the water.
Very nice camp ground good price 30$ for full hookup
Nice spot to relax and enjoy the deer and birds.
Love being by the river...fun roller slide...nice restroom...good picnic shelter
Its a nice place to walk around, and they hold many different kinds of events here. For Pokemon Goers and Geocachers it also has spots for you.
Fun outing with Hutchinsons Networking Referral Group for a picnic in the shelter.
Kids & I love this park. But over the years its become so popular its often full.
They cleaned up the park nicely and added extra camping spots and a stage for concerts--everything looks really clean.
Not the best sanctuary around, half the animals look starved. Looks they tried to do much with vary little space. Looks kinda dirty.
Beautiful park along the river.
Beautiful park wildlife is awesome and playground equipment is top notch
Beautiful paved trails along the river, canoe and paddle board rentals, shelter, bathrooms, wild animal refuge, campground, music stage, and more.
This used to be the best park in Hutch, but they took out the spider web climbing net. Now its nothing special
Beautiful Views,Miles of AWESOME Trails,Great Camping, Hook up for RVs,Boat rentals, LOVED IT
Great park! Love the wildlife refuge.
Very nice. Quiet and peaceful.
Nice park and Luce Line Trail.
