I love this dog park. This review is based on my experience here over the last 9 months. There is plenty of shade and areas to sit for dog owners. The park is cleaned daily on weekdays and most owners tend to pick up after their dogs. The dog bag dispensers have always been stocked when I have visited. It is mostly gravel with bits of grass (usually around the trees). There is a water fountain for humans and for dogs. When I visit, the park is never overcrowded.
Has been under construction for goin on a year now and it doesnt seem to be finishing anytime soon
Nice park and dog park, though small. No parking nearby though. This is also a good place to take pictures if you are visiting Houston or have relatives that are visiting Houston.
Dog park is nice but would be better w grass instead of rocks. Also there’s a Great Dane that comes to this park. He’s a large male and has attacked several other male dogs at this park including mine :( one of the dogs required hospitalization. It normally comes with a brown smaller dog.
I went there twice and both times were under construction. Wasting my time and gas
Local park at the edge of midtown, downtown, and 4th Ward. There used to be a restaurant where you could get drinks and food at the corner of Gray and Bagby but it has since closed (hence the 3-star rating). There is also a dog park at the far end of the park. Unfortunately, the is often full of dog (and human?) waste because owners either dont take dog bags with them or the stalls at the park are empty. It has been decent as of late but expect it to get worse in the Spring/Summer.
The dog park is a nice local dog park. The grass space is nice, but they seem to keep changing it. Not sure why. Many restaurants nearby.
Park is very small but a pleasant respite while walking in Midtown. Several bars and restaurants are nearby. Dog owners can let their fur babies run free in the enclosed dog park. Instagrammers love the large MIDTOWN letters as a backdrop for their photos. Sometimes the park hosts free events like yoga classes.
Weird street party at that days, limited crowd, nice music. Bought a coconut to drink from. Merchant had no machete to split it open. Guns were allowed, Machetes not.
Right down the street convenient a cool place to chill I wish Ricos Restaurant would reopen.
The park is a neighborhood favorite. It has a dog park. The park always has activities. The park is surrounded by cool restaurants.
Cute little park nice to chill and watch the doggos
Lots of shade in the dog park! The street chalk art was beautiful! Very fun place to walk around for a while.
It could have been better if we didnt get approached by homeless from every corner.
This is not a park this is just a area with a dog lot lol
Dog park is nice, but needs some updates
Nice park. Small but nice green area for kids, small clean dog park, and little restaurant serving burgers as well as other foods and daily happy hour 4-7
Not much. But some very cool scenery. Better to visit at night to see the light. Watch out for the homeless. Some are ok, others you have to watch.
Nice midtown location.. close to everything including minute maid park
Shared experience with family. Nice
Lots of cops.. Ef de popo (:
The dog park needs better upkeep, other then that its a good parkUpdate:Since my last visit the city has cleaned out the dog water fountain. It no longer has micro organisms swimming in it now. The park is overall a solid 4 stars now
The park is great. Multiple games to play. Great photo opps if youre into that. Dog friendly. And you can get a delicious burger and frozen alcoholic beverage on a nice day at Ricos.
Small but nice place to talk, relax, eat and enjoy with family and loved ones. Theres a dog park with chess or checkerboard stone tables with seats on the inside. I really liked this place, would love to see it at night!
Such a cool to chill and hang out!
Not really a park. More of a grassy lounge. With that being said, its still cool! Take your pic on front of the midtown sign!
Cool chill spot
Nicely kept park near a busy business center in Midtown. I took my dog to the dog park and had a great time, very clean and ordered, water fountains for people and pups. Small restaurant/bar on park premises is great for drinks. Only downside is its size.
Chill place. Ricos serves food and drinks. Small dog park. Free concert on first Friday of the month. Great vibe here.
Quaint park. Midtown logo is located here
Small but nice to have so close to home. Beautiful scenery and a food stand nearby. Not many dogs there usually.
Great park for dogs.
Really cool spot! Ricos Morning Noon Night burger stand is right there and serves great burgers, fries, and ice cold beer!
Nice park, with Ricos for beer and food. The dog area is small but nice and shaded.
We grab a burger and sit. This is a cool little park, but dont expect a playground. Sometimes there are sandbags or a pingpong table, but mostly it is a place to sit and think while you watch your dog.
It’s a place you must go to take a picture
I love this little area. Its so nice
Small and nice park. Especially love the dog park for our Golden Retriever to run and play with other dogs.
Nice oasis that gives a good midtown feel. Great for people to walk their dog and grab a late night snack at Ricos.
Nice quit place to take the dogs.
Its a dog park is very nice quiet
Unconditional beauty
Cool little spot.... The city of Houston did a great job...
Nice place. Benches, dogs and Nicos is serving food and beer
Such a nice place to hang out. And plenty of food nearby
Great small park. Enjoy the live events offered.
This is nice little park to go play with your friends and enjoy some green space in the middle of Midtown
Play ping-pong, cornhole (sack toss), write on the dream board, or just take a picture with the giant Midtown letters! This park may be small in size, but it is a huge hit with the community. The doggie play-pen is a perfect addittion to this space as well, bring your fur baby down for play time. Keep an eye out for my adorable new friend, a Chihuahua named Taco!!
Great place to hang out with your friends, two legged or four legged!
QuaintLots to do aroundNice little dog parkParking is everywhere and nowhere
Nice little park with a restaurant at the street corner, good place to have a couple of drinks outside

Close to sites and food. Great photo area!
Small but nice
Interesting area of town
Nice area in Midtown dog and people friendly!
Battery Park is a friendly outdoor place you can bring your dog and your family and its my favorite park
Nice place to spend with your family.
No parking lot, have to park on street and more than likely pay, homeless people hang out in park, really small area for dogs
This is the place to be doggy park combined to I eat at ricos almost daily
Love the people and love the beer stand

Ate a lausy hamburger at Ricos, that together with a swarm of stinky homeless people made it a very bad experience, I wont go back.
Relaxed area.
Small but nice
Clean with games setup outside and a food stand with cheap drinks.
Not enough shade during the Free Saturday HIIT and Yoga classes (Midtown in Motion)!
Dog crap everywhere
Cool little park!
