Nothing too spectacular, but cool all the same. I was able to definitely chill and get my meditation on. All in all, still worthy of for stars. Youre right next to the Galleria if you want to go shopping. The design setup seems to be based upon principles of positive energy flow. Im not exactly an expert per se on that but I know there is definitely some sort of design aesthetic going along that or some sort of similar route. But still, bottom line pretty cool spot.
A very cute park! Lots of open space, pretty waterfalls, and a nice walking path. The playground and pavilion are closed due to COVID, along with the public bathrooms, but there are port a potties and hand washing stations. The dog park is open.I would recommend getting some Vietnamese food from Cali Sandwich across the street and coming to eat at this park!
A lot of the park is closed because of Covid, also lots of homeless people around who make the playground their hang out spot. Besides that it’s very modern and if Covid was not an issue it would be a much better experience obviously
Pretty good park. Not too busy. Love the water feature.
Super clean park. It was nice that they had the drinking fountains turned on.
Love it Midtown Park. What happens to chairs and tables. I had eat lunch on steps.
Decent for taking your dogs but couldve been better/more equipped in the dog park area.
I had a good time here I went there for the food truck festival, it was nice and all that, but I thought the festival wouldnt charge per person 10 bucks so between me and my wife it was 20 plus other 10 for parking and we got lucky some parking places were charging up 25 dollars, so I literally spent 30 bucks on a food festival without getting any food, other than day food was okay honestly I tried a bunch of food and nothing really impressed me, I like the vibe of the people and its a cute little park but they need to organize better the food truck festival. Maybe make it on a bigger park or something because I dont think all the people like to sit on traffic on a hot day Im sure hundreds of people leave because they couldnt park their cars.
Great park idk if you have to rent it but the stage area very good Ive seen a music crew play there so if you have any theater friends or a crew thats your place to shine
Midtown Park... Green in the middle of the concrete jungle... such a great change from all the concrete around. This park, Midtown Park was well planned and thought out from the water feature to the picnic area to the performance stage. This park will serve not only Midtown and the immediate areas but a little farther out of the city. It has a playground also! Good job City of Houston!
I really try to be as calm as possible. But its wild that i am feeling like anywhere that i go i am followed hurried picked apart challenged and bothered by people in this wonderful city with nature paths such as midtown park. Ive never felt comfortable not one time ive gone there. Lived basically two blocks away for 3 years almost. I will try to go again next week. I awful today after going to midtown park
Kinda boring... Good place to walk a dog or sit alone.
We enjoy this park a great deal. The nature area is small, though walking through it is very relaxing. For the kiddos there are things to crawl over and engage with and family events are hosted often. Conveniently this is just off the train line. One of my favorite places to warm up before running into the heart of downtown and the accompanying bayou trails.
Ive been going to this Park since day one and the security guard at the park and the guy that cleans the bathroom went of on me called me homeless and to get out of the park and dont come back. And it doesnt matter if I was homeless are not I had just got off work.and I was just little dirty and thay thay thought I was homeless. And I thought Parks was a place for serinity. And the security guards name is Jonson. He is so rude.
I am not from this area and I wanted a place to go sit and have a picnic. This was a great park for enjoy the weather in the heart of the bustle. Unfortunately there were not super close eating areas but I managed to find a Chipotle walking distance and enjoyed my burrito in the sunshine
Love this new park walking distance from my house. Theres a cool dog park, an epicly large music stage, water features galore and a bathroom. Great new addition to the neighborhood.
We did the grilled cheese sandwich festival this weekend and had a great time.
Easy parking. Little pricey but safe and secure. Nice venue and good set up for modeling
This park in the heart of downtown Houston has a stage area that they use for special events and gatherings. I currently have been to two different events both of which were movies in the Park events. Where they feature a movie for free as you get to watch a movie on the lawn outside. They have many other events and ongoing regular vents like yoga and Etc. If you check out Midtown Park you should definitely check their website so that you can attend one of these events. Very family-friendly and the staff for Midtown Park events are very cheerful and excited to facilitator in the events for the City of Houston.
Beautiful small hidden gem.
Its a very great place. Its peaceful to enjoy your day there. Even as family wise. Playground has a gate to keep children in. Restrooms super clean. Just an awesome place to be at.
Quiet, peaceful and serene before sunset on a Sunday evening
Awesome place!!! So clean and love the little pond thing and the jerk fest was fun
Great place. Love to go here and clear my mind.
Nice, clean park. Open spaces for games / running around, swings, giant climbing rope cube thing, covered area for performances. Bathrooms are out of order, so they have portable bathrooms right now, or it would have been 4*.
Great park to go to on a hot date, and very beautiful looking outlet. There is a performance area so it makes it rather fun to be in with. The only bad thing is that it is a bit small, and you have to pay for parking which I do expect knowing its by midtown... Other then that is a great place to just kick back and enjoy the environment and if you go remember to take chalk!
Its not as big as Discovery Green, but it has a water feature, an open field, and an enclosed dog park.
Small but yet lovely park! Piece of heaven in between the concrete jungle!
Great park, lovely layout and design and right off the red line. Also within walking distance of Randalls and Black Swan Yoga.
Great local park. Relatively pretty small but theres always fun random events going on and its right off of the metro. Theres a small dog park there with a small hill to throw a ball and wear your pumps out. Water available to them too. At any given time you can expect couples or small groups of friends working out or tossing a frisbee. Restrooms are often down but theyll sometimes have portopotties (mostly refreshed) in their place.
Pretty empty
I like that there is a dog park, and it has astroturf. It isnt my dogs favorite, but they still enjoy running around.
A low hourly rate along Travis street. Woosters Garden and Little Woodrows are both within short walking distance. Plus its underneath Midtown Park itself. Very convenient for those not familiar with midtown.
It was a beautiful day at the park today. I enjoyed it there very much.
Open space. We went to Brunch Fest there and had a blast.
What is there not to like about having this green space when all you just see are apartments or the like all over this area. You would have to drive a few to find another green space. I have not gone to any of the events but I like how they are advertised on google maps. I saw a lady here talking about a food festival. I dont think those concerns are related to the park or the city, it would be the organizer of the festival. This park does not really have walking trails. This park though does have a playground, and it appears built for events.
One of the newest parks in town that just hosted the Jerk Fest on 09.14.19. More so the biggest event was #504 day which featured Mannie Fresh and Juvenile. More so there is also Zumba lessons on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. In addition it has a dog park and water park (shoots out the ground) for children. Nice park with security!
Refreshing to see this ecologically protected urban park pop up in midtown. Was impressed to learn about the green stormwater infrastructure of the park - the recirculating water system mimics the bayous and wetlands of the region and protects native species. There was also security there walking the premises so this could also give visitors peace of mind.
Great Open air feel in the middle of midtown
Great experience for me and my dog.
Beautiful park! You can find butteflies flying in the summer time. Kid and pet friendly as well
Wonderful location to bring the family for a nice picnic
This place is clean and super fun! Not too crowded (yet). Dog friendly, kid friendly and even has a big wall where you can draw with chalk! Awesome!!
This park is an urban decompression chamber in the middle of a concrete jungle. It is a great place to discover in midtown!
Cute public park located in midtown. Right next to the metro train. Swings and play area for kids and grow ups. Large parking facility below, cheap parking.
We had a balloon release for a friend that passed away. There’s a stage with fans, light, and sound that can be hooked up. There’s a small playground for kids. Great for hosting outdoor events. The club Set is right next door.
Represent and support the city of houston we love midtown park and downtown houston #RIPNIPSEYHUSSLE
Jazz Festival was amazing
Peaceful. Dog park, kites flying, a few tables to eat/study/people watch.
The event was a great event; Black Heritage Festival!! Looking forward to it next year!!
Very clean and security on sight, very safe!
A magnificent site, with pleasant and well designed spaces, in the middle of our beloved Houston metropolis. Pleasant stay
Nice park but the dog park has puddles of water even when it doesnt rain
Amazing state of the art park conveniently located in midtown awesome lawn ...beautiful art installments and monthly free events for all the family to enjoy
Nice bars and restaurants.. I suggest everyone to go once a year
High end park for sure its kinda small tho? Would be nice if it had more things for kids instead of just rocks to put on a table kinda lame
Cool park in the middle of an interesting area. I had pho across the street which was so good I gave this park an extra star. There was a weird tweaker in this park that accused me of stealing his keys. I said I hadnt (obviously) and he asked if I promised (weird) and I said I didnt steal the keys and he said so you dont promise. Luckily Im a big guy so big druggos like this dont mess with me too much but he really freaked out my wife. There was a security guard there that looked me up and down(like I was a problem) then proceeded to talk to the tweaker for a long while, like a friend. I came back about 30 min later to get my car and the tweaker was still there and the security lady was also there not caring. It really left a bad taste in my mouth after having a good time in the area. WTF
Cute petite park. Parking is horrible though. You have to find street parking and pay
Its quiet n peaceful despite the area its in!
Great combo of native landscaping and park amenities. Underground parking too for a fee.
An oasis in the middle of a concrete midtown
Came for the food festival ! It was amazing. Super packed and super hot, but we enjoyed our time there. Delicious food!! Come with an empty stomach and a lotta patience for waiting in long lines
Great place for festivals & for multi purpose use. Kids enjoyed playscapes. Restrooms were clean. Cool stream through trees & gardens. Nice place for a stroll.
First time there and had an amazing experience. Thank you for hosting such wonderful events.
Loved this park and is dog friendly
Great place, but they need to get rid of the pile of fencing piled up .out front
I would love if the water feature in front of the stage would run more regularly. Its great for kids to play in the summer heat. But its regularly off, and its dirty when is on.
Great experience! Enjoyed the Jazz festival. Be prepared to be outside
Nice park friendly people great atmosphere
Great park, love the free zumba and yoga classes. I wish the dog park had a shaded area.
Beautiful park!!
Great outdoor location for concerts and other gatherings. Perfectly placed and parking is easily accessible.
A green island in the middle of Midtown.
Love this place...so nice and super clean.Theres a doggy area super nice to bring your beloved pets.Theres security walking the park at all timesSuper safe
Beatiful place
Nice and clean. I enjoy the festivities that take place at this park.
Very nice neighborhood park. Extremely clean restrooms. Very scenic with flowers and waterfalls
Lovely park. We used the underground parking garage and then walked to MATCH. We could have hoped on the rail if it had started to rain but fortunately that was not the case and we enjoyed the walk.
I love this park but it says it’s open 24 hours but once you get there, the sign and security guard informed us it closes at 10PM!
Very nice venue! Clean bathrooms are a plus! The stage area was large. There is a play area for kids too.
Had a great time at the Martini Blu Jazz Festival
Nice Green space with clean rest rooms
I got reprimanded for kicking back. Oh well. I guess I now know where not to go to kick back for awhile.
Its a cool place to hangout with family & friends!
Very clean and welcoming vibe... Kid and dog friendly....
Awesome fun, clean and safe parlor to have concerts and events.
Well maintained park with awesome free activities. I love coming here for yoga, HIIT classes and Zumba.
Great park!
The park is very clean, has a kids play area, but is a little small. But its still very nice! And they Zumba classes there on Tuesdays.
Perfect for the travelers
